Red Rocks is without a doubt the best concert venue in the US and I'm so grateful I finally got to experience it. We saw Two Friends play here last night and it was probably the best concert we've ever been to. What a top tier venue - from the sound, lights, employees, food selection, seating arrangement, parking - everything was fantastic. We were able to snag a pretty close parking spot so we didn't have to even park in one of the lots despite showing up around 7:30. My only complaint is the amount of women's bathrooms - there are definitely not enough to handle a sold out crowd without at least a 30 minute wait throughout the night.

Red Rocks amphitheater is an amphitheater, so naturally, people talk a lot about that. But, it's so much more. It's a community space with deeply rooted memories that people all over the world have shared. I know everyone gets excited about a show, as they should. They fly in, they drive in, plan a pre-party on the lots, charge their phones to capture the moment... yet, I don't feel folks know that the park is open during the day most every day of the week, year-round. You can walk the amphitheater, climb the trails around, witness the vistas. I always enjoy taking out-of-town friends to the amphitheater during the day. I even like going there by myself and listening to the visitors as they see it for the first time, live a little vicariously. And, while you're up there, visit the tourist center, the little museum and outpost. There really is a lot this place has to offer beyond the music, which makes the music that much more special. To experience the full magic, take a couple of hours outside the shows to explore the space in a little more solitude.

This was a bucket list place to see and I finally got to see it! Now I didn't get to see a show, but getting to experience the Amphitheatre was the next best thing. It's free to park and walk around at least when there isn't a show too. They have a visitor center you can explore or you can just walk into the amphitheater area and explore yourself! I cannot believe the red rocks just appear on a mountainside it's something I had a loss of words for. Right by the entrance there is a small tunnel they dug out with a rock too that was fascinating. I went on a day that was a little bit windy as well as cold but not too cold. This place would be unbearable with snow so keep that in mind. The elevation is also pretty hefty at red rocks as I believe it was around 8200ft above sea level. Denver is around 5300ft so it's a big difference you would feel especially climbing around the steps in the amphitheater. I think the coolest part of the whole experience is that you can see the city of Denver in the distance when looking down from the top of the amphitheater. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have a car and are going to Denver. It's a must see and the only thing even better would be to see a show here! The echos from the rocks would make the music sound incredible.

WOW. This was better than I could've imagined. I just wish we would've had the opportunity to go to a show here. We came for the sunrise. Parking was a breeze - it was snowing the weekend we went so the roads were icey. We got there about 30 mins before the estimated sunrise, so we got all set up and enjoyed the views. One downside was the giant crane by the amphitheater. Which was an eye sore, but the views were still amazing. Overall, it was a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend stopping by for the views even if you can't catch a show.

Red Rocks was so much more than I thought it would be! For one, I didn't realize just how the steep the walk up to the Amphitheater was until we came up to it to begin the trek. Whew! Then once you get past the ramp there are so many stairs, some of the sets of stairs are bigger so you are almost having to lunge to get up, ha! I'm not complaining about the exertion of muscles though, the view was totally worth the climb! There are also trails and parks you can explore. And there's the gift shop for souvenirs. I would love to attend a concert here, but I will have a better appreciation of the space now that I've visited.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is an incredibly unique venue (naturally made of 300M year old, iron-rich sandstone) and has quite literally a dynamite origin (with acknowledgement of indigenous ownership); it's also a neat National park with trails, museums, and plenty of parking to take advantage of during the day. Food and drink were served at the bottom and top levels of the amphitheater during a mixed EDM/classical orchestra concert featuring Apashe, Flux Pavillion, and Josh Teed. Security service presence was heavy throughout the event. Traffic patrol is also present early on to keep vehicles flowing. Seating and sound were ample from various angles of the venue.

...this has to be the most incredible live music experience I've ever had. If you're reading this, you're probably seeing all the other rave reviews as well, so I'll just offer a few tips and highlights: 1. Arrive right when the parking lots open for the show (2 hours prior to doors) and tailgate. Bring food, drinks, cards, etc. and just hang out in the back of your car with your crew. It was one of our favorite parts of our trip. 2. Park in the Upper North Lot, and park as close to the lot exit as you can, with your car facing the exit. It'll help you get out faster. 3. The bathrooms in that parking lot are single stall and quite slow - opt for the porta potties on the other side for a quicker experience. 4. If you're there during cooler times, bring a blanket - and an empty water bottle - to take into the show. 5. Head in right when doors open and pick your spot. We loved being halfway down, on the side so we could easily enter and exit the row. Mark your spot with a blanket or something to sit on. 6. If the whole place is packed, get a spot on the sides near the trees: not a real "seat" but you can post up on the ledge for great views lower down 7. Check out the museum, gift shop and bathroom at the top before the show starts! 8. The bathrooms at the bottom have shorter lines 9. Watch the final song from the very top so you can exit the parking lot fast :) 10. It's an absolutely magical venue and likely one of the favorite stops of whichever band you see there - so they're extra excited too. Take it all in!!

What an iconic venue! Red Rocks was on my bucket list for years and I've now been fortunate enough to visit twice. On my first visit, my friends and I went to hike and explore. The amphitheater is free and open to the public during the day. There were lots of people who were exercising, hiking, and exploring the theater and park. The weather was nice during our visit and I was able to take some amazing photos. We did not stay for the concert that evening (Beatles tribute), but I told myself that I would absolutely come back to see a show because that was my ultimate goal. A year later, I had the opportunity to go back for the Teddy Swims concert. The show was absolutely amazing! The venue did a great job of communicating important information for the show. I signed up for weather text alerts which came in handy as it was storming the morning of the concert (luckily, the storms moved out just in time for the show). There isn't a bad view and the sound quality was excellent! It was a little difficult finding my seat because it was hard to see the row and seat numbers in the dark and I didn't see any ushers for assistance. The seating consists of benches with numbered spaces. There's typically reserved and GA sections which vary by show. The designated space for each seat is kind of tight (luckily, we were standing most of the time). If you have a GA ticket, get there early so you can get a spot. It took me 21 years to see a concert at Red Rocks, but I am so happy that I did! Even if Red Rocks isn't on your bucket list, go visit if you have the chance! The sheer beauty alone is worth the trip!

Definitely one of my favorite venues. Only complaint I have is there is not nearly enough restrooms for the crowd at a sold out show. Prices are a bit crazy for drinks and food inside. Thankfully you can bring in sealed water and food of your own. The views are outstanding and you will not find a better sight whether it's at the amphitheater or hiking the grounds.

There is no better concert venue than Red Rocks! The outdoor space, fresh air, views of the rocks lit up with laser lights! Always a good time! Oliver Tree is playing tonight! Parking is always free.

Amphitheater is amazing. Great views. Plenty of parking around. Has a small gift shop with a small museum on the top. Didn't get to try the restaurant but be sure to take it easy walking around. Seen some visitors walking around with trouble breathing, if you are visiting do take caution.

I just had to touch the red rocks!

The RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE in Colorado is a sight to see! Wow! Just breathtaking: literally and figuratively! A magical, spiritual and emotional stage. We caught the sunrise, but still need to catch a concert here. The amphitheatre is the master work of Colorado's most highly regarded architect, Burnham Hoyt. The grand opening took place back on June 15, 1941. Elevation: 6,310 feet! We arrived a bit late to witness the sunrise from the amphitheater. We parked at the Trading Post near the Lower South Lot and later realized the the Upper North Lot would've saved us a lot of time! We viewed the 6:30am sunrise from the ramp, which was still so beautiful to see. We could hear the crowd cheer from the stands. I would recommend entering through Entrance 1 and head to the North lots. If you want to experience the incline, then take Entrance 2 and park at the South Lots. During our visit, the parking and entrance was free! We stayed for about an hour to admire its beauty and architecture. Unfortunately, it was too early, so the Visitor Center, Trading Center, and food booth were both closed. We will definitely be back!

!Time for an update! Being a native Coloradan, I never underestimate the fortune we have in Red Rocks. Summer just isn't complete without a visit, whether for a concert, yoga, or a simple hike. Wildlife viewing is a common occurrence and is especially fun when the raccoons come out to help "clear" the amphitheater (clear food, not visitors). For those with mobility issues, there is a shuttle to help those get from the lower parking lots to the south entrance. Restrooms at the top and bottom of the amphitheater are also accessible. Handicap seating is at the front of the stage (so cool!) No matter where one sits, it always comes with a great view of downtown and the plains. The Visitor Center is open during concerts and has Red Rocks themed merch and stadium blankets for sale. Definitely my most favorite concert venue in the North America!

There is nothing more magnificent than seeing natural beauty created by our awesome God. The amphitheater was a sight to see. It's amazing that it was man made. The different elevation did make it tough at times, but what an accomplishment it felt when we finished. Also, the view along the way was great. So don't forget to stop and just look around! They also have an easy trail, which is nice, especially if you're taking small children. The visitor center was neat as well with some fun facts and history.
