We saw Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg, my boyfriend has a broken foot and was on a knee scooter. They were so incredibly accommodating. Met some great people pre-gaming in the parking lot. Beautiful amphitheater.

Loved every minute, from when we walked around to explore at about 5:30 ( we parked at the lower south lot 1), to standing in line to enter at 6 (saw a rainbow!), to walking to the top of the amphitheater to take in the view, to the concert: Opening band The Original Wailers, Bob Marley's band with the original guitarist , played all the classics and all 9,000 audience members sang along! Feature band :Michael Franti and Spearhead: what showmanship and charm! He had multiple participants come up on stage to sing and dance with him throughout the 2 hour concert, and spent as much time in the crowds on the first 3 levels as on stage. He played mostly newer songs last night and shared some stories about what inspired him to write some of them. The changing twilight to night sky with full moon was also captivating. The acoustics of Red Rocks is phenomenal! And they try to ensure that smokers stay off to the side and not in the sitting area (some scofflaws always rebel but mostly people abided by the rules). A night to remember! Highly recommend! We'll be back!

One of the most famous music venues to discover and attend a show in my opinion. The acoustics and scenery is unlike anything. There are ample bars and bathrooms + it's pretty fun to tailgate ahead of a show. You can walk the grounds for free when they don't have a concert which is cool.

We purchased VIP tixs for this concert.

Search Assist Rolling Stone Magazine named Red Rocks Amphitheatre the best amphitheater in America, describing it as a dramatic natural venue that can elevate a good show into a totally unforgettable night. The venue has hosted legendary performances by artists like The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, contributing to its storied reputation. If you have not visited the iconic venue, find a music group you like and visit then. Unbelievable views depend on where you sit. High above and you can dwell on downtown Denver. Sit near stage and you will feel like you are in the band. Plenty of beverage locations on epic event days. They even come to you in the crowd. Plenty of parking, arrive early. Plenty of food choices. Limited parking for handicapped. We arrived by bus from our hotel location. I think that is the way to go.

When you think of Denver there are a few things that come to mind right away. Denver Broncos, Rocky Mountain National Park, and this world renowned concert venue. We were in town for spring break so we wanted to drop by and check it out. We arrived on a Thursday early evening. Red Rocks Amphitheater is located 10 miles southwest of Denver in the beautiful town of Morrison, CO. Parking is accessible all around the amphitheater. There was no concert scheduled that night. We were hoping to catch the sunset but unfortunately we missed it. The lighting was still great for pictures though. We parked by the Upper South Lot. From there it was a moderate 10 minute walk to the south ramp of the venue. During the walk the views of the valley is stunning. Once we made it inside the outdoor amphitheater, I was in awe of the beauty and ambiance of the Red Rocks amphitheater. The majestic backdrop of the red rocks was definitely something I have never seen before for a concert venue. It was unique and beautiful. We were able to start from the bottom of the stage area and make our way to the top. It was a nice workout climbing up the seats steps. From the top, the different angle view of the amphitheater and backdrop was amazing as well. Overall we enjoyed our time exploring Red Rocks amphitheater. It was a one of a kind experience. Unfortunately the visitor center was closed and we did not see a live concert at the venue. We hope to be back again so we can attend a concert.

I've been to many music venues and Red Rocks Amphitheater is one of the most beautiful ones I've seen. When they say amphitheater they mean it as the sounds amplified and carried throughout the whole venue. Our seats were close to the stage but just high enough to still see the gorgeous backdrop (Row 42 seats 59,60). There are 70 rows total in the amphitheater. I like so many genres of music, but the music blasting in this setting just hits differently. I felt my soul healing. There is nothing like it. The VIBES you get at this outdoor venue is unreal. Depending if you decide to park or use ride share there's a bit of a hike to get to the venue in high altitude, but as long as you're prepared it's so worth it.

Red Rocks is 20 minutes away by car from Denver. Admission is free; closes at 2p on event days. Beautiful!!!

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is one of the most iconic music venues for a reason... it is absolutely stunning and the sound in the venue is too. It is a bit of a hike to get up to the venue which is an experience all in itself. I don't know any other places where an amphitheater is surrounded by incredible massive red rocks. It is beautiful!!! We also did hiking right by (on a hiking trail) and wow is it gorgeous. There is also a Visitors welcome center that is great too to learn more about the history or grab a souvenir. Everyone working there has helped make it organized and has been helpful. To see my favorite band Lord Huron here is always the best. Nothing else is like this venue. I highly recommend coming to see a concert here. I can't rave about this incredible venue enough. If you love outdoor venue concerts.... it can't get better than this.

Red Rocks is without a doubt the best concert venue in the US and I'm so grateful I finally got to experience it. We saw Two Friends play here last night and it was probably the best concert we've ever been to. What a top tier venue - from the sound, lights, employees, food selection, seating arrangement, parking - everything was fantastic. We were able to snag a pretty close parking spot so we didn't have to even park in one of the lots despite showing up around 7:30. My only complaint is the amount of women's bathrooms - there are definitely not enough to handle a sold out crowd without at least a 30 minute wait throughout the night.

Red Rocks amphitheater is an amphitheater, so naturally, people talk a lot about that. But, it's so much more. It's a community space with deeply rooted memories that people all over the world have shared. I know everyone gets excited about a show, as they should. They fly in, they drive in, plan a pre-party on the lots, charge their phones to capture the moment... yet, I don't feel folks know that the park is open during the day most every day of the week, year-round. You can walk the amphitheater, climb the trails around, witness the vistas. I always enjoy taking out-of-town friends to the amphitheater during the day. I even like going there by myself and listening to the visitors as they see it for the first time, live a little vicariously. And, while you're up there, visit the tourist center, the little museum and outpost. There really is a lot this place has to offer beyond the music, which makes the music that much more special. To experience the full magic, take a couple of hours outside the shows to explore the space in a little more solitude.

Red Rocks was so much more than I thought it would be! For one, I didn't realize just how the steep the walk up to the Amphitheater was until we came up to it to begin the trek. Whew! Then once you get past the ramp there are so many stairs, some of the sets of stairs are bigger so you are almost having to lunge to get up, ha! I'm not complaining about the exertion of muscles though, the view was totally worth the climb! There are also trails and parks you can explore. And there's the gift shop for souvenirs. I would love to attend a concert here, but I will have a better appreciation of the space now that I've visited.

    Attendant on a rage

I want to share feedback regarding the parking experience at Red Rocks. I completely understand that managing traffic and parking for a venue of this size is challenging, and I appreciate the importance of keeping vehicles moving efficiently. However, one parking attendant's behavior significantly detracted from what should have been an enjoyable experience. Rather than providing clear direction and assistance, he repeatedly yelled at guests, appeared impatient with basic questions, and even told people he "didn't have time" for them. Many attendees seemed confused about where they were supposed to go, and instead of helping, his approach made people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while he claimed he didn't have time to answer questions or assist guests, he somehow found time to repeatedly take hits from his vape pen. Watching someone dismiss guests while stopping to vape sent the wrong message and reflected poorly on the venue. Customer service matters, especially at a destination venue where people are excited to attend an event. There is a difference between being firm and being disrespectful. Clear communication and basic courtesy should be expected from anyone representing the venue. Red Rocks is known for creating memorable experiences, but unfortunately this interaction left a negative impression before the event even began. I hope management addresses this issue and reminds staff that treating guests with respect is just as important as managing traffic and parking operations.

WOW. This was better than I could've imagined. I just wish we would've had the opportunity to go to a show here. We came for the sunrise. Parking was a breeze - it was snowing the weekend we went so the roads were icey. We got there about 30 mins before the estimated sunrise, so we got all set up and enjoyed the views. One downside was the giant crane by the amphitheater. Which was an eye sore, but the views were still amazing. Overall, it was a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend stopping by for the views even if you can't catch a show.

I'm going to my first show here this week (late June). How cold does it get at night? Is a flannel enough coverage? Are there any other necessities I should absolutely plan to bring?

A lightweight jacket and a cheap plastic poncho were what we brought. I recommend the plastic poncho in case of rain and a hat if your jacket has no hood. Some people brought blankets to sit on and in case they got cold. Also a great attitude and… Read more

What is the best seats/ section to see a concert at Red Rocks? I have tickets on Row 37 for Joe Bonamassa. Obviously I want to maximize our first Red Rocks concert experience. Thanks for your feedback.

There is nothing more magnificent than seeing natural beauty created by our awesome God. The amphitheater was a sight to see. It's amazing that it was man made. There are a total of three marked hiking trails. We hiked the difficult and medium trails. They weren't that bad at all. The different elevation did make it tough at times, but what an accomplishment it felt when we finished. Also, the view along the way was great. So don't forget to stop and just look around! They also have an easy trail, which is nice, especially if you're taking small children. The visitor center was neat as well with some fun facts and history. There is also a Trading Post where you can purchase souvenirs. The shirts are crazy expensive, but if you shop in the clearance section, it is more affordable. If you're hungry, there is one restaurant there with reasonable prices, but of course more on the pricier side. However, I think it would add to the experience if you brought your own food and picnicked along the way or eat at the end. You can definitely spend a whole day here! It's great for a family outing, date, friends hang out, or even just to enjoy solo. I highly recommend visiting this place, especially if you're from out of town.
