Would've given 5 stars had someone who worked there not told me we were closed at 9 pm and I couldn't film a few moments of the light show area at 9:15 pm when the ticket says grounds are cleared at 9:45 pm. It even says they will sell hot chocolate till 9:30 pm so how can you take money from people for hot chocolate but tell them we are closed and to keep moving/can't film at 9:15 pm. My ticket was for 8:30 I think that's ridiculous.

This is definitely worth it! We were in Denver for Thanksgiving week and decided to explore what they had for the holidays. Blossoms of Light was lauded as one of the top holiday light shows in the nation. So we had to check it out. Make sure to get tickets early as they sell out, I got the last few tickets available a few days ahead. Parking is across the street in the 3 level structure and it's FREE! Super convenient! This light show is located at the Denver Botanic Garden on York Street. It had snowed earlier that day so it was a pretty chill 20° night. Make sure to dress in layers and grab a hot drink. We grabbed some cider at the entrance of the garden and they have a second cafe towards the middle ilof the 1 mile trip. It was all beautiful, we took a bunch of pictures. I bet you didn't see the ice crystals forming on the water! Service was good. Definitely recommended!

A fantastic way to soak in the holiday cheer is at the Blossom of Lights at the Botanical Gardens. My partner took his two boys and me, and as we savored hot chocolate and hot cider, we wandered through the garden, embracing the stunning light displays. The highlight was the enchanting musical pond light show. We departed with our hearts full of the holiday spirit. Remember to get your tickets in advance, as they sell out and are unavailable at the Botanical Gardens.

Hopefully you still can get tickets since this is a must see. We lucked out since it snowed the day before and didn't melt. I think the snow adds to the lights. If you had to choose between the Blossoms of Light or the Zoo lights I would say hands down see the Blossoms of the lights.

It was friggin butt cold ( Pardon my French)....but It was worth strolling the Botanical Gardens to witness the lights...it was magical and fun. The little children having fun made it more so. The six of us kept oooing and ahhhing....and the hour walk went by quickly. Seriously you should go if you like spectacular Christmas lights....crazy lights. Pro Tip: Before you start the stroll go to the gift shop and buy a pair of the special glasses ( I think they are 1.50 for one or 5 for the set of 4 ) . It will make the visit that more unique. Reminded me of the 70's, Sugar Cubes , and some very special "Trips". Get there a tad early if you are parking as the lots was crazy busy.

The Blossoms of Light display is smaller than Glow at the Gardens but it is still a beautiful walk thru. It took us about an hour to get thru it and that included a pit stop for cider and several photo ops. Visitors are encouraged to wear a mask but it is wise to have if only to keep your beautiful face covered from the cold and the wind. As mentioned there are a couple of kiosks offering hot chocolate and apple cider and for snacking, roasted nuts. Definitely try and go before time runs out. The display runs thru 08 January.

Came here with the family...a couple of whom are Grinches, but they all enjoy the displays anyway. You'll have to pre-purchase tickets for specific days and they sell out quickly. It's a lot of walking over uneven terrain, so be careful if you have problems with gravity. There are a couple of cafés along the route, which is nice to slam a hot drink when it's 25°f. The restroom will be well used, so be aware. Overall, they did a decent job.

For my birthday I decided we would walk through the botanic garden blossoms of light display. The weather was good, crisp but not freezing. I was careful with my gloves this year having lost them for a bit last year before finding them again. Parking was full and we drove around in circles before finding a spot. They had some different displays this year which made it nice if you had attended the year before. A surprise of sorts. We wandered around having downloaded the map but with the signage we didn't need it. They had an associate take photos at the first decorated arbor which was amazing as my son and I rarely have photos which aren't selfies. Great addition to the display. Lots of people walking the trail with us and most were considerate of photo taking. The cafe in the middle of the gardens was open so you could purchase a meal or hot drink. We took photos, listened to the music in the special 'woods' area, laughed and enjoyed each other's company. We walked through the greenhouse and used the facilities. Then we watched the projected show on the science pyramid and the musical display in the main field area. After that we decided to have a treat so we went into the cafe for some hot chocolate. Got one loaded and one plain so we wouldn't have too much sugar. It was warm in the cafe so we thawed out. Went into the gift shop too and it was filled with lovely holiday gifts. They sell the paper glasses which give lights different shapes. I love those. It was a great night as we got to also visit the memorial brick of a close friend. Wonderful way to spend a birthday.

The staff was very welcoming even to the last "viewing". The trail was very straightforward, to where to go. It amazes me on how they get the lights in the trees. I struggled getting the lights on my own Christmas tree. I commend these guys! Amazing work. My crew and I had such a great time!

Pretty lights and nice displays. I wish the area was covered with more lights and there was more music. Overall though there were unique displays and it was very classy. I liked the hot chocolate from the cafe too. I wish I could've gone to the gift store after but they were closed.

What a marvelous Light-Paradise-Garden to visit on a Happy Thanksgiving Weekend! This is obviously the perfect Get-A-Way HotSpot for a "DateNight" or for a fabulous "ChitChat" - WALK with one of your colleagues/peers/pals or besties. If you are in town for the Holidays, let's meet up with some of your loved ones at this gorgeous Nature-Wonderland. #

You had me at lights. I love anything sparkly and Blossoms of Light delivers. It's very very classy and keeps adults and kids entertained. Literally, i was with a seven year old and he was stoked. It's not too pricey and there are loads of photo ops. They also guide you through so you won't get lost unless you break the rules and bust through a chain fence. DO NOT DO THIS. Major bummer was no booze. Why Botanical Gardens why?! All in all it was great and now I'm officially feeling festive AF.

I have been to this before and didn't have as great a time as this year simply because of the time I went. This year we had a family group of 10 and were lucky to get tickets for 5 pm - right when they opened. We arrived a little after 5 and parking was very easy. There wasn't a line to get in and we could wander along the path and take pictures without having crowds of other people in the way. Fortunately the weather helped out and we didn't need the big package of hand warmers I came prepared with. We did need our gloves and hats but it wasn't too cold to enjoy ourselves. The lights were beautiful and there was so much to look at along the way. I loved the "video" windows towards the beginning and the huge, interactive music/light area towards the end as well. It's great that they have signs and employees to direct people along the path - it's much more efficient than wandering aimlessly. We did get two pairs of the holographic glasses that made the lights look like gingerbread men and we probably could have done without those. But I figured that for $2 each it didn't really matter. My tips for this event are - buy tickets early and get the earliest time possible (before the crowds converge). It's great for all ages and don't forget your camera.

Really pricey for underwhelming lights. Also way over crowded so the ambiance isn't great.

It is a five acre garden spot inspired by the Gardens of Versailles. The gardens is a marriage of France and Colorado where native drought tolerant plants grow in a France inspired Botanical garden. From my experience, Centennial Gardens is worth the visit when it is combined with another point of interest. It's downtown location makes this simple. It is located off the South Platte River Trail. This garden spot borders Elitch Gardens Amusement Park. Pepsi Center stands a couple hundred feet south to the south. It was the South Platte River Trail that led us here. It was a short walk across the river from the REI Starbuck's where we were chillaxing. Approaching the gardens from the trail, I saw a cast iron black fence. The first time we hiked on the South Platte River Trail we passed over stopping by. If I decided to have passed over stepping inside the gardens, I would have seen the whole park from the Platte River Trail. In want of an entrance at the South Platte River Trail, we walked along the edge of the east periphery to the south where a sidewalk led into the columns that bordered the entrance. We had the gardens to ourselves. The majority of my visit was spent chillaxing on a bench near by a water feature and touring the walking paths while taking pictures. If you are into photography as I am, Botanical gardens are photo magic. As the picture collection below shows, I enjoyed photographing the urban landmarks that blended in with the picturesque flowers. The nearby Elitch Gardens Observation Tower truly captured the photo magic of Centennial Gardens. The 200 foot tall landmark blended in magnificently with the water feature. It blended even nicer with a bed of blooming flowers that created the illusion that the Observation Tower grew out of the flower bed. In the heart of this five acre Gardens of Versailles-inspired Botanical Gardens , the patterns of walkways and flowerbeds captured the architecture of the nearby Speer Boulevard Bridge. Then by the north periphery facing south the gardens shared a sensational vista with the Denver skyline and Pepsi Center. In the closing paragraph, I would like to reemphasize that Centennial Gardens is worth a visit with another point of interest. From the perspective of somebody who loves the great outdoors I suggest combining it with Denver's Great outdoors as a stopover off the South Platte River Trail. Finally, please bring your camera.
