What? I had to walk my bag back and carry in my toddler, extra clothes, diaper/wipes when my little bag would have been so easily searched. Seriously the bag could barely hold 2 diapers, wipes and a spare outfit. How is a father of 4 a major security threat? I would have been fine with a search of the bag. I wish I could have been there in person to take my classes and present my capstone project. There was one professor that I didn't love but overall the classes were great and I got so much out of the readings, assignments, and meetings. To give you a short summary of my Capstone presentation assignment, I was supposed to design an animal-assisted therapy program and present it in front of our peers, school advisor, and capstone professor. I loved presenting in front of my class and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've always loved working with animals and working with children and this is my first step toward living that dream!

Nearby, the shopping and restaurants fit a college campus. DU has a lot to be proud of and the city of Denver gets the benefit of favorable recognition of the school's championship teams in ice hockey, skiing, lacrosse, and gymnastics. The law school moved on to the campus several years ago and it continues to thrive since doing so. The neighborhood around the school is well maintained and safe. This college punches above its weight.

Though frazzled from the arduous drive from Boulder this campus was easy to find once I exited the…read morehighway (I'm easily lost even when following the guidance of my Australian voiced GPS machine). Though the parking garage was conveniently located (right next to the Law building) I was a bit puzzled as to how to enter the garage after hours (ahh, the barcode on the parking pass, got it!). To be honest I'm not sure how one would enter after hours without a parking pass. I do want to note that the parking garage featured a bike rack which I thought was awesome. The campus itself was absolutely beautiful. Quiet, well-groomed, and inviting. The buildings themselves had more of a New England feel with the bricks which I just loved. The grassy area was also in use for a touch-football game which I thought was cool. On this particular occasion I was here to both check out the campus and attend a panel discussion. Though the signage to the discussion was not present I eventually found the room with a little help (I was also a few minutes late due to the traffic - read rush hour, storming outside, and an accident to by-pass on the highway - so perhaps they had signage up earlier?). The building had a very open feel with a lovely staircase leading up the middle. I really enjoyed that the stairs weren't hidden away (like in many buildings). Though I'm sure there was an elevator somewhere I'm hopeful that most able folks choose to take the stairs. The lecture room we were in was great (stadium seating, power outlets at each seat, swivel chairs - a total step up from what I saw going to school back in the late 90's early 2000's). Overall I really like what I saw of the campus. I would however have hoped that the stained carpeting on the 1st floor of the law building would have been cleaned or replaced prior to new student orientation (it's my understanding that this school is on the expensive side).

I graduated from DU's University College in the spring of 2010. I absolutely loved my time at this…read moreschool, and the final capstone project was one of the hardest things I've ever done. This is definitely not a program you just "buy" a degree - it wasn't an easy program. I completely disagree with the previous review, as graduate degrees from a accredited school that is highly respected, as DU is, will set you way above people that just hold undergraduate degrees and even some graduate degrees. I have a Master of Professional Studies with emphasis in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Administration, and have been told by recruiters that this degree ranks equal with an MBA with the same concentrations. I work in HR and I 100% degree. Just Google how many other big name colleges offer a Master of Professional Studies. A lot! University College gave me the flexibility to work full-time and attend school full-time and I graduated in under 2 years. It is also a substantially less expensive program compared to other graduate schools, and you still get a degree from reputable private school (University of Denver). Also, without this degree many doors that weren't open to me before have now opened. I had great instructors, fabulous advisors, and an all around great experience. It is not an easy school, but your hard work will be rewarded at the end when you have that piece of paper. I am a huge supporter of DU - University College. No education is a waste, this will get you better jobs and more money. I would do it over in a heartbeat and do refer this school to others.

This theater has the only IMAX 70mm film projector in the metro area, so if you want to see a movie…read morein this format as originally intended--this is the place. The other "IMAX" theaters around town use a digital laser projector which is bright, but only has 20% of the resolution of the film system and a cropped aspect ratio. There is also a dual-laser system that at least supports the taller aspect ratio of 70mm. Trying to figure out which theater has which system is difficult, but--trust me--this is the only 70mm auditorium in Colorado, outside of Colorado Springs. The theater complex was built in 1999 and is really in need of a comprehensive remodel. It's very dated, particularly the seating. Concessions are pretty basic. The 70mm projector failed a few days into the release of The Odyssey (July 2026) and caused an uproar as Regal did a poor job of notifying customers about the problem. I read in the media that the projector had been fixed, so we booked tickets. We had a mostly smooth experience. Although we arrived early for our showing at 11:20 a.m., we only found a few spaces left on the top level of the parking garage. Parking is definitely a problem here if there's a major film event. I'd suggest anything but driving. There is a very convenient light rail/bus station directly adjacent to the Colorado Center complex. Our tickets were scanned and we zipped up the escalator to the main lobby on the second floor. Concessions were moderately busy, but the line kept moving. The seats in the big IMAX auditorium certainly don't meet the standard for modern movie theater seating, particularly for such a premium experience. There would be a space issue with fancier seats, though, as the auditorium is narrow (IMAX is best viewed straight-on). Our seats were a bit to the side in the fifth row. I thought the viewing experience was great. The seats were not uncomfortable. What annoyed me was that the vinyl floor in the seating area was very sticky. Apparently mopping at the end of the day has gone out of style. Anyway, the popcorn tasted fresh and the projection quality was superb--that's the most important thing. We enjoyed the movie.

I really appreciate how the rink is set up. The center is clearly marked off, which helps keep people practicing doing middle work from drifting into the main traffic flow. It makes the whole floor feel more organized and safer for everyone. The rink itself feels like it's on the larger side, so there's plenty of room to skate without feeling cramped. Adult nights are especially fun. They lean more into electro and dance music, which keeps the energy up. Pricing is reasonable, and I love seeing how they give back to the community. The last time I was there, they were collecting food donations for a local pantry, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. There's also a back room with video games and a smaller practice space that's separate from the main floor, which is a huge plus if you want to work on something. Around the rink, there's plenty of seating for breaks, with storage cubbies underneath, which is super convenient. Overall, it's a really solid rink with a great atmosphere and a strong sense of community. Definitely worth checking out, especially for adult night.
