    Empty rink before the game.

I haven't actually been here to watch DU play. So unfortunately, I haven't been able to take advantage of all that Magness Arena has to offer. I do however come here to see my BF play in his rec league hockey games (Go Cones!) and I have definitely enjoyed our games here. Even more so when they win! ++ The officiating seems to be spot on which is nice. Things don't seem to get as out of hand as we've seen at other venues. ++ For the most recent season (summer 2016) there was a decent mix of both Saturday and Sunday games. ++ The seats are super comfortable and there is not a bad seat in the house. ++ The arena is actually pretty warm, at least from the spectating side of the glass. -- The rec league games have a tendency to be a bit later than I would like, but there's not much to do about that. -- Though it was a short season and only featured 4 teams. Guess everyone had summer plans... All in all, I'm happy with the team's choice to move back to DU and look forward to many more games at Magness!

My wife and my Dad joined me this past Sunday at Magness Arena to see the Colorado Avalanche scrimmage game. None of us had never been to this arena, and we were all pleasantly surprised. There is not a bad seat in the house, and the arena offers an up-close view of the game. The arena also looks new and very well maintained. I look forward to coming here for games/events in the future!

Though the parking garage was conveniently located (right next to the Law building) I was a bit puzzled as to how to enter the garage after hours (ahh, the barcode on the parking pass, got it!). To be honest I'm not sure how one would enter after hours without a parking pass. I do want to note that the parking garage featured a bike rack which I thought was awesome. The campus itself was absolutely beautiful. Quiet, well-groomed, and inviting. The buildings themselves had more of a New England feel with the bricks which I just loved. The grassy area was also in use for a touch-football game which I thought was cool. On this particular occasion I was here to both check out the campus and attend a panel discussion. Though the signage to the discussion was not present I eventually found the room with a little help (I was also a few minutes late due to the traffic - read rush hour, storming outside, and an accident to by-pass on the highway - so perhaps they had signage up earlier?). The building had a very open feel with a lovely staircase leading up the middle. I really enjoyed that the stairs weren't hidden away (like in many buildings). Though I'm sure there was an elevator somewhere I'm hopeful that most able folks choose to take the stairs. The lecture room we were in was great (stadium seating, power outlets at each seat, swivel chairs - a total step up from what I saw going to school back in the late 90's early 2000's). Overall I really like what I saw of the campus. I would however have hoped that the stained carpeting on the 1st floor of the law building would have been cleaned or replaced prior to new student orientation (it's my understanding that this school is on the expensive side).

This is definitely not a program you just "buy" a degree - it wasn't an easy program. I completely disagree with the previous review, as graduate degrees from a accredited school that is highly respected, as DU is, will set you way above people that just hold undergraduate degrees and even some graduate degrees. I have a Master of Professional Studies with emphasis in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Administration, and have been told by recruiters that this degree ranks equal with an MBA with the same concentrations. I work in HR and I 100% degree. Just Google how many other big name colleges offer a Master of Professional Studies. A lot! University College gave me the flexibility to work full-time and attend school full-time and I graduated in under 2 years. It is also a substantially less expensive program compared to other graduate schools, and you still get a degree from reputable private school (University of Denver). Also, without this degree many doors that weren't open to me before have now opened. I had great instructors, fabulous advisors, and an all around great experience. It is not an easy school, but your hard work will be rewarded at the end when you have that piece of paper. I am a huge supporter of DU - University College. No education is a waste, this will get you better jobs and more money. I would do it over in a heartbeat and do refer this school to others.

The men's room (left side of the iMAX): all FOUR URINALS out of order. So a line out the door before and after. Must be a consistent problem because this Regal has white fitted plastic bags with the label "Urinal out of order" printed on them. The seats desperately need reupholstered. Even little things like the "butter" which isn't even a butter-flavored oil, are just worthless. (Actually: how would I know it's for the popcorn? It's a stainless steel box without a label and push button to dispense. Judging from the taste, I'm beginning to think it was 3in1 oil left out by the maintenance people.) Do it right or at LEAST BETTER or close this dilapidated place. Ridiculous.
