To celebrate this holiday I have selected the most incredible concert venue in the country to Yelp…read moreabout. I had only dreamed for many years about seeing a concert here. Last year my husband surprised me and bought tickets to see my favorite band Incubus perform here in July. I could not believe it and was so very, very excited! We arrived a little early which gave us time to hike and explore the park portion and to learn more about the history of this place (another review). Upon arrival, we had made reservations to dine in their restaurant before the show. Promptly at six, we were let in. This place is massive and is an open air amphitheater that holds approximately 9,500 people. The city of Denver owns and operates it. It is well known due to the huge monolith rocks that surround it. They are called "Ship Rock" and "Creation Rock". In the upper level, there are plenty of vendors selling food, beer, merchandise etc. Once you begin the ascent down to your seats you see how big this place really is. We had terrific seats down low but high enough to still have a view of the city of Denver in the distance. The sound is so well preserved due to the surrounding sandstone formations. The concert was fantastic and I got to hear all my favorite songs. At one point in the show I had to pinch myself just knowing I had finally achieved the goal of seeing a concert here. We also were lucky enough to have a huge full moon come up during the show. The night was indeed magical and I will never forget it. If you haven't been here for a show/concert, I cannot recommend enough what a unique experience it is. You must do it! I am hoping to come back again in the future. To me America shines here with this amazing park and amphitheater. Thank you Colorado!

Seat 48 was in the literal middle and at eye level w the musicians so it was perfect. I did pay scalper prices (3x) for them though (AXS fees were ridiculous). We came prepared with 18" wide seat cushions (they were crazy about enforcing the size at the gate w a ruler). I did my research and we showed up early, like 4:30p to tailgate. Picked up some sandwiches from Carmine Lonardo's to go with some wine; they were perfect. We chose to park in the Lower South Lot to be closer to the stage since we had lower seats, but instead of walking up to the ramp, we came across and took the complimentary shuttle to the Upper North lot entrance FOR THE WIN, as we would only have to deal with going down stairs instead of the hill to get to the South side ramp. Leaving the venue though was a bit of a challenge. Actually, a bit of a clusterfuck. We didn't even try to turn on the car and just sat in the parking lot for about 30 minutes to let the other cars clear out. Overall, great experience and would definitely do it again.

They greeted us immediately and gave us a map of the property. We had fun walking around and checking out the animals and historic buildings on site. It is wild this place is right in the middle of a neighborhood. The only issue we had was parking because we the lot is full you're out of options.

Wow, my yesterday's visit to this historic park was so mesmerizing. It's because of their annual…read more(?) "Bright Nights" (originally a lantern festival.) It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.
