With this company, you initially communicate with them, and they match you with a DJ, so you don't really know who you're getting until the wedding day. One of our biggest requirements was having a bilingual DJ, and we made it very clear that this was extremely important to us. We were assured that we would have one, but unfortunately, our DJ's Spanish wasn't nearly as fluent as we had hoped. We also spent a lot of time carefully putting together separate playlists for cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception because the music was something we really cared about. At one point during dinner, I actually had to get up and ask the DJ to switch from our cocktail hour playlist to our dinner playlist. Another particularly frustrating moment happened when one of my wife's favorite songs came on. She, her friends, and her family were all singing along and having an amazing time, but the DJ cut the song off halfway through the chorus to transition into another song. I went over and asked him to play it again, which he did, but then he cut it off at almost the exact same point while everyone was singing along. I had to go back a second time and specifically ask him to please let the entire song play. It was disappointing to have to interrupt those moments to address something that should have been handled without our involvement. Overall, we were disappointed with the service. We put a lot of thought into the music and the atmosphere we wanted for our wedding, and we felt that some of those details were overlooked. On a day when you should be able to relax and enjoy every moment, the last thing you want is to have to repeatedly step away to manage the music. My biggest recommendation to other couples would be to make sure you have the opportunity to meet and speak directly with your DJ before booking. Having that personal connection and knowing they're the right fit for your wedding is something we wish we had prioritized. I

An older theater, this place is in good shape. Easy getting through security and in the door, there are good selections at the main bar, as well as the lounge there too. Also, compared to other venues, beers for ~$10 each seemed like a reasonable value. The venue itself isn't huge. We didn't realize seats weren't permanent. They're practically on top of each other, and there isn't much legroom. Luckily, we were on the aisle, so it wasn't that big of a deal, although having to leave the row so others could get in was a bit of a pain.

Like a free parking garage is unheard of nowadays, and I love that Boulder offers one. We were lucky enough to snag great seats in the balcony for prime viewing of the stage. The sound and lighting were on point and the bars were easily accessible. I, especially, loved how the seats moved and, in a sense, "reclined" so I didn't have to sit up super straight. However, they could've been padded a little more as I was getting a bit sore. All in all, I loved this place and would be glad to see a concert here again!

Looking for new experiences, my husband and I decided to make 2013 the year of the symphony. As luck would have it, our friends had access to season tickets and we were invited along for the season. Last night we had our first symphony 2013 experience and it was fantastic. No pun intended as it was the 'Francois Fantistique' production last night. Debussy, Bizet and Berlioz were the featured composers and it was a really wonderful evening. I will be the first to admit that I really enjoy listening to music but really know nothing about it so if I get the terminology wrong it is solely my own ignorance and not a reflection of the experience! The conductor explained Berlioz's symphony to the audience using humor to explain the love story. I really like the conductor and thought that he explained things really well including using small snippets of the music to show what Berlioz used as a "beating heart," "the lady," "cackling witches," and "slithering snakes." I would not have picked up on that without an explanation but knowing what to listen for, I anticipated those sounds and was excited to know what they meant along with being able to follow the story line a bit better. It was a really wonderful evening and as such I am eagerly awaiting the rest of the season this year!

Two members of the symphony has visited our strings class at Shepherd Valley Waldorf School where my child is learning violin. Kids get in free, and ticket prices for adults are reasonable.
