We took a year off from Tree Town Wonderland in 2024, heading out to cut our own tree. A big reason was affordability. However, my son didn't enjoy the cold trek through knee-deep snow, so we resumed what had been a tradition and went back to Lakewood last weekend. Much of what we liked remains in 2025: Friendly staff, wide selection of trees, free hot chocolate/donuts, the layout on a mini-golf course, and having our tree secured to the car for us. Some things have changed: 1. These trees are Taxed to the Max. We were very fortunate to find a small, but suitable tree without financing. 2. Mini-golf used to be free. Major perk. It's why my son insists on coming here. It's now $8 to include the challenges of seasonal ice. Fake trees have been anathema to me since childhood, but look like the future for our family barring a winning Powerball ticket. Everything costs more these days, I get it. Charging $8 for icy mini golf that was previously free? I think we're done here. read more

Great family atmosphere and very helpful people. They price strictly by tree size, so you find some gorgeous trees that are a great deal and others that look like a Charlie Brown tree with a long stem and so it's $200. It took some hunting but we ended up with a gorgeous tree for a much better price than the nursery right by my house. Free hot chocolate and cookies made the kids very happy. My family and I have been getting our Christmas trees here for 6 years. We always knew they were overpriced, but we bought our tree there anyway bc of tradition. Every year we've been able to negotiate a cheaper price. Even if it was only $20, psychologically we felt better about paying an arm and a leg. This year, a man with a reddish beard refused to give us ANY kind of discount and blamed it on the owner. I said "how much can you give us off" and he flatly said "none". The prices this year were insane. I understand fires and inflation, but that doesn't mean you can rape people charging on average $300-$325 for 7-8' tree. And that price wasn't even for the better quality trees like Frasers that were typically $195-$210. We ended up going to Tomari's in Morrison next to Tiny Town and got an even nicer tree for $185 total, including taxes AND they threw in Miracle Grow tree food. I'm really sad knowing we won't be returning to Tree Town esp with how the guy was unapologetic and had zero customer service skills. If you own a business, you need to understand that when you make the customer feel like they got some kind of deal, no matter how small, they're way more apt to buy what you're selling. I know it wouldn't put the owner out much at all, but I guarantee they'll lose a lot of business with their new approach. That's business owning 101. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This is the third tree we have purchased from this place and the second one that quit taking on water and died 2 weeks after purchasing it. The first time this happened, he claimed that it only happens a few times a year. He was very nice and immediately replaced our tree. This year we were excited to give them our business again since they were so helpful last year. Well, here we are 2 weeks later with another dead tree. He offered to replace it yet again. What a fun experience! Got another beautiful fresh tree that I know will live far longer than the grocery store variety. Staff so friendly and helpful, great selection, and you can take pictures Santa (quite a good looking santa too!). This place was hardly a wonderland. No reindeer, no pretty lights, no family fun activities. It's basically a sub par mini golf course with way overpriced trees pre-cut along the course. It was a complete joke. We went because we had a groupon and it seemed like most other people were there for the same reason. There were a few people actually trying to sell their groupon to others there saying that the trees were way too expensive even with the groupon. My three year old was also very eager to see the reindeer and the fun festive events the website claims to have. Needless to say, we left with a very sad three year old and an overpriced tree. This was our first year getting a tree here since our regular "cut your own" place was not open this year. We went during the afternoon and it was busy, but not completely out of control. I'm not the biggest fan of pre-cut trees, but after using a Living Social deal, we ended up with a great tree at what I believe was a reasonable price. It was a great place for the kids to run around a bit while looking for our tree. Santa and Mrs. Clause were there also, which was an added bonus. If ever buying a pre-cut tree, I would go here again, you just have to spend a little time looking for a tree that works for you, as you would anywhere else. We'll see how long it lasts!
