My son's bantam team played here 4 times over President's Day weekend, 2017. This is a great facility for hockey. It seems fairly new and has two NHL sheets with a restaurant in between. The sight lines from the upper viewing areas of both rinks was great. You can look right down on the action. The upper area is high enough that they do not need protective netting that would obstruct the view. We recorded video of the games and it is the best we could have shot because of that upper spectator area.

I really appreciate how the rink is set up. The center is clearly marked off, which helps keep people practicing doing middle work from drifting into the main traffic flow. It makes the whole floor feel more organized and safer for everyone. The rink itself feels like it's on the larger side, so there's plenty of room to skate without feeling cramped. Adult nights are especially fun. They lean more into electro and dance music, which keeps the energy up. Pricing is reasonable, and I love seeing how they give back to the community. The last time I was there, they were collecting food donations for a local pantry, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. There's also a back room with video games and a smaller practice space that's separate from the main floor, which is a huge plus if you want to work on something. Around the rink, there's plenty of seating for breaks, with storage cubbies underneath, which is super convenient. Overall, it's a really solid rink with a great atmosphere and a strong sense of community. Definitely worth checking out, especially for adult night.

A group of six of us went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was crowded, but we didn't have to wait long to get our skates. The way it works is that the ice skating rink is free, but you have to pay to rent skates. If you own your own skates, then, the experience is completely free! To rent skates, you wait outside in front of a little booth and get a wrist and then go to the window next to that one and say which size you'd like. Despite the rink being crowded, the wait for skates was very short. Service was friendly and efficient. The skates weren't the highest quality, and they use ski boot like buckles rather than laces, but I can't complain given the convenience and price. The ice rink gets smoothed over/cleaned using a Zamboni every so often, and when that happens, you can stand by fire pit stands (I'm not sure what they're called?) or sit on the benches right outside the rink. We stayed for about an hour and a half to two hours and had a good time. This is a great activity for families and friends alike!

It's definitely could use some updates, especially the floor, but that's the trade-off for having some of the lowest entry prices you'll find anywhere. I've paid double at other rinks. One thing I really appreciate is that they only charge for rental skates if you actually need them. I've been to other rinks where the price is the same whether you bring your own skates or not. It's nice not paying for something I don't need or want. When you skate as often as I do, those savings add up fast. It's honestly getting harder to find affordable entertainment these days, so I really appreciate having a place where I don't have to give up my hobby just to make ends meet. It's also a great, healthy activity. I really value anything that gets me moving and away from a screen. The staff & management are friendly, they try to play music everyone will enjoy. The bathrooms are clean and there's a shelf with cubbies along the wall for your shoes and belongings, but lockers available if you prefer to secure your items. My only real criticism is that I wish the rink floor was cleaned more often. There's been quite a bit of gum on the floor recently. At the end of the day, this place keeps roller skating accessible and affordable, and that alone makes it worth it.

My wallet appreciates the low $6.75 admission cost for the 1ish hour public skate session. Add another $6 if you plan on renting skates. +2nd star is for the hours. They are one of the few rinks that offers several public skate sessions throughout the day, even on weekdays!! +3rd star is for the league game hours. Sounds silly but when the latest game I have to worry about my BF playing is at 8 pm, I'm a happy girl. Over all the ice is alright. It has it's good days and it's bad days. Weekends are definitely crowded!! I tend to go on weekdays during either the 10 am session or the 1 pm (all depends if I sleep in!) to avoid the crowds. Though during the weekdays you run the risk of school field trips. For the adult rec hockey league experience I would be tempted to lower my rating if this was all that I was basing my review on. I have definitely experienced better. The stands almost always have trash strewn about. Several of the refs just don't seem to pay attention to what's happening on the ice, while another was on a power trip one night calling I don't even know what (he extended a penalty by two minutes because the door to the box was slammed closed, WTF?! You have to slam them to close them.) It seems they let things get a bit out of hand with the games. They offer an online payment option for fees that the team really enjoyed. I'm sure that I'll continue coming here because of the hours public skate is offered, but I look forward to my BF's team moving to some new ice.
