I really appreciate how the rink is set up. The center is clearly marked off, which helps keep people practicing doing middle work from drifting into the main traffic flow. It makes the whole floor feel more organized and safer for everyone. The rink itself feels like it's on the larger side, so there's plenty of room to skate without feeling cramped. Adult nights are especially fun. They lean more into electro and dance music, which keeps the energy up. Pricing is reasonable, and I love seeing how they give back to the community. The last time I was there, they were collecting food donations for a local pantry, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. There's also a back room with video games and a smaller practice space that's separate from the main floor, which is a huge plus if you want to work on something. Around the rink, there's plenty of seating for breaks, with storage cubbies underneath, which is super convenient. Overall, it's a really solid rink with a great atmosphere and a strong sense of community. Definitely worth checking out, especially for adult night.

This was a fun little outing in downtown Denver, right off the 16th street mall. The string lights…read moreand decorations (which aren't super visible in my photo) make this a very cute rink. A group of six of us went on a Sunday afternoon, and it was crowded, but we didn't have to wait long to get our skates. The way it works is that the ice skating rink is free, but you have to pay to rent skates. If you own your own skates, then, the experience is completely free! To rent skates, you wait outside in front of a little booth and get a wrist and then go to the window next to that one and say which size you'd like. Despite the rink being crowded, the wait for skates was very short. Service was friendly and efficient. The skates weren't the highest quality, and they use ski boot like buckles rather than laces, but I can't complain given the convenience and price. The ice rink gets smoothed over/cleaned using a Zamboni every so often, and when that happens, you can stand by fire pit stands (I'm not sure what they're called?) or sit on the benches right outside the rink. We stayed for about an hour and a half to two hours and had a good time. This is a great activity for families and friends alike!

Twinkling lights, cheerful music, families laughing--it's the kind of place where you half expect Santa to stroll by sipping hot cocoa. The people are wonderful, the setup is magical, and the vibe screams "holiday postcard." And then... there are the skates. These skates aren't just bad. They're a medieval torture device disguised as footwear. I'm convinced Satan himself forged them in the fiery depths of hell, cackling as he added dull blades and ankle-crushing plastic shells. * The boots: Imagine strapping your feet into rigid plastic buckets, lined with inserts so worn they might as well be tissue paper. * The blades: Calling them "blades" is generous. They're more like butter knives that haven't seen a sharpener since the Bush administration. * The experience: I made it a quarter loop before realizing my ankles were auditioning for a horror movie. Every attempt to recover from a slip sent pain shooting in all directions. By the time I reached a bench, I was ready to gnaw through my own shins just to escape. Getting the skates off was its own Olympic event. I tugged, pulled, and prayed, but those boots clung to my feet like a demon possession. * Atmosphere: 10/10 (Hallmark perfection) * People: 10/10 (Friendly, festive, full of cheer) * Skates: -666/10 (Spawn of Beelzebub) If you want holiday magic, The Pond delivers. If you want functioning ankles, bring your own skates--or prepare to sacrifice your soul to the rental counter.
