We are from out of town and we went here for the Photo Booth but stayed for the great food, drinks, and amazing bartenders! Couldn't recommend this place enough; we spent way too much time and a lot money here but it was SO worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Smack dab in the middle of S Broadway, Sputnik is where you go to pull away from the chaos of bar hopping and unwind with a stiff drink in your hand. This diner/bar has some solid bar food and the side of nostalgia to carry on with great conversation amongst your friends. We sat at the bar and I can still imagine my very first sip of my drink and was caught off guard (in the best way possible). The vibes were super laid back and it was nice to unwind and carry on a nice conversation.

Kale caesar salad, falafel, vegan corn dogs

Sputnik is a fun dive bar with a huge separate vegan menu. My partner and I got the kale caesar salad, falafel wrap, and the elusive corn dog! Everything was excellent, though the corn dog was especially good (think they might use field roast?) As for the drinks, there is a decent selection of beer and plenty of cocktails to choose from. And the space itself is really fun--good people and environment. A little busy on the weekends, so if you're coming with a group of people either try to get there early or be prepared to wait a little for a table.

    Cubano Bowl

Oh noooo, the poor bartender. When I walked into Sputnik and sat down at the bar, I got excited about the selection of whiskey. Unfortunately it came out as asking the bartender for a scotch that would burn my organs. I forget that I should be a little more mindful about my dark humor. I settled for a Laphroaig since tequila was more up his alley and he had no recommendations. My best friend joined me, and we enjoyed dinner before heading to a different bar. I got the incredible Cubano Bowl ($12.50) which had braised jackfruit, rice, black beans, plantains, and chimichurri. SOOOO good. I could have gotten mojo pork, but jackfruit seemed more unique. Decent quantity of food for the price, and the flavors were phenomenal. We left because the music was too loud. Overall quirky little spot with an odd selection of food. Love that they're open for both lunch and dinner, then late into the night for drinks. I could be open to coming here again. Nothing else on the menu really appeals to me, but this is the perfect spot for vegans. They have happy hour specials and some tasty-looking cocktails!

Far cry from what it used to be. Instead of focusing on politics maybe you should improve your food, service and safety.

We asked for a free Palestine and they wouldn't give it to us! In all seriousness- this place is a far cry from what it used to be. Maybe they should focus more on improving their food, service and safety and less on Middle East politics.

Vegan options up the wazoo, and plenty for your meat eater pals as well. I'd describe their menu as mostly bar food like corn dogs, mac n cheese, and tacos, with some outliers like a falafel wrap, bahn mi & katsu curry. I'm totally shocked by the handful of negative reviews I've seen here. I've been to Sputnik between 10 and 20 times and have never been disappointed by food quality or service! I think they may be understaffed, bc even w the occasional slow service, every server I've had has been so kind and fun, acknowledging they're slammed and still serving with a good attitude. *Fries are some of my favorite anywhere. Thin cut and always well seasoned. Comes with two sauces and they're all made in house and delicious. Love the sriracha ranch and nashville aioli. *Kale Caesar is hands down my favorite vegan Caesar salad in Denver. It's got a bite of garlic and the croutons are always delish. Consistently a favorite. *Vegan Cubano: had for the first time tonight and it was amazing on every level. It was also bigger than I expected it to be! *Sputburger: my boyfriend said it's the best burger he's had in a long long time. Pickled onions changed the game. *Vegan Mac n Cheese has evolved over the past couple of years. It's been a bit different every time I get it, but I have to say it's been good every time. Idk what else to say other than a 10/10 grand slam. Vibes are dive bar like, but with recent renovations it's become slightly less grungy with more of a diner vibe. Love the booths along the wall and that you seat yourself. I always suggest meeting w friends at Sputnik for its wide variety of options, healthy to greasy goodness. Couldn't advocate for this place enough. Honorable mention for their brunch. Only had it twice but remember the food we ordered was great, but the stand out was the spicy Bloody Mary. It's ghost pepper vodka, and one of the only places in Denver that knows what it means to make a drink ACTUALLY spicy. BIG PROPS!!!

The staff was super friendly and helpful despite being overwhelmed by a very large party while I was there. They take their time making the drink because they clearly want you to enjoy them. The Mac and cheese was some of the best I've had at a restaurant. I really enjoyed the lollipop chicken. Not overcooked and sauced nicely. It seems like it could be a quiet spot for a meal and/or cocktail whenever there is not a convention in town.

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

Death & Co is a bar that has been on my list to go to for a very long time. We made our reservation ahead of time, which I would highly recommend you do. I almost didn't do it, but I'm glad I did because it was limited seating still. The inside atmosphere is absolutely amazing elegant, upscale. This is the place to be. We originally sat at a lower table with a large couch and two side chairs. We had a group of six and we fit pretty comfortably. The only error we had was when the waitress was bending down to give us our first round, someone from the table behind bumped her and the tray of drinks went over. Honestly not really her fault and she was very apologetic. It did splash one of my party members, which is why they offered to comp us the drinks and we had to unfortunately move the table because of broken glass. They were fortunately able to get us into another table pretty quickly. It was close to the bar, which wasn't inherently bad. They gave us a fresh round of drinks. The food that came out was all amazing. We ended the meal with their chocolate chip cookies, which were divine. I'm pretty sure they were brown butter chocolate chip cookies because it had that excellent specific flavor you get from browning butter and baking. All in all, this place truly delivers an amazing experience. The wait staff was able to make amazing recommendations on cocktails based on what people's preferences are. The food was truly amazing. If you like good food and great drinks, I would definitely check this place out.

This is a breakfast place and yet, for coffee, whole milk is the only dairy option offered. For me, if your business is breakfast, I assume coffee is your #1 served drink, to not have options for lattes is an easy miss. Providing skim milk allows you to make your own 2%! It also seems they had one non dairy option which, again, it's a breakfast cafe. I cannot make sense of it. Service was slow and spotty, which was particularly disappointing given the 20% included service fee. This fee notice is posted everywhere which I appreciated but if this is the case, you must must provide top notch service. Waited quite a while once we were finished for our check which is just unacceptable. That said I did love my breakfast bowl full of veggies - one of their summer specials. And I liked the hot sauce wall! Plus I love dogs and really dug the weenie decor. Despite the good food product, this is a restaurant where their policies and lack of options made me feel unwelcome. With all the great food spots in the area, there's nothing that would draw me back to this place as I'd like to have a latte if I'm going out for breakfast, and this place couldn't provide any milk option for me.
