views of city and mountains

best views in denver! decent food, full bar with 12 beers on draft, speedy service from really nice servers (although a little short staffed at times). the tuna melt is awesome, the mexican hamburger with green chile is my fave. grilled salmon and fish and chips are both excellent.

Prime Rib Night menu

Stopped in for a drink and a view. Thursdays is their prime rib night...too bad I ate before coming. Drinks are strong yet reasonable and service is friendly and fast. Who could ask for more as you watch the sun set over downtown Denver?

View from the clubhouse patio...

City Park Grill @ the City Park Golf Course clubhouse The view from the patio alone is well worth a visit - you won't be disappointed. This is a great (kinda still 'secret') golf course patio restaurant. You can probably already guess most of the menu: Cobb salad, Caesar Salad, burgers, wraps, BLTs, French Dip. No surprises, other than the food is really good. The steak bits were outstanding. Full bar: beer, Arnold Palmers, John Dalys, etc. They could've used another server, but it was 82º & sunny on their patio today. I think this spot is going to become quite busy as more people make the discovery.

Walking distance from the Denver zoo. You can play a few rounds of golf then enjoy a drink by the greens. What a view.

Very good BLAT with onion rings
David M.

This year Denver opened up the City Park Tavern at the new entrance to the City Park Golf Course on 23rd Ave across from one of the entrances to the Denver Zoo. The view from the restaurant alone is worth 5 stars. Truly a great place to watch the sunset over the City and the mountains. The only problem with that suggestion is that the place closes at 6 p.m. The good news however is that they say they're open all year round so bring a jacket for winter time sunset viewing (or just be boring and sit inside the all glass western-facing wall:). Today we sat outside and had good to very good sandwiches and sides. Mine a BLAT with onion rings was 3.5-4 stars as was my dining partner's chicken wrap with fries. Nice server who was a bit crushed by all the outside tables, but the place is definitely an option in that part of town these days and way better than the old snack bar / restaurant for the course that used to be at the corner of 26th and Josephine. Biggest plus = the incredible view and relaxed style of the spot. Downer for a business lunch that you have to drive to = the "relaxed style" of the spot. Sign me, David "FORE!" (more beers please) M

Beautiful views, nice bar, good menu. I got the turkey reuben, my hubs got the burrito, both very tasty. Always love the option of sweet potato fries on the side. I was almost expecting more of a brunch menu on a sunday after golfing, it would be nice to add in a few breakfast-y items! Also, there are 6 tops in the dining area which is odd to me because most of the time golfing you are in a group of 4. I would also love to see a 9 and dine at the golf course paired with this restaurant!

For those of you who are unaware, City Park was completely redone over the last two years and is basically a new course. Well, right in the middle is the new clubhouse, which is home to the City Park Tavern. This is a terrific patio setting with views looking downtown. Man - How do you beat eating lunch after a nice morning of golf? This spot had a nice little brunch menu and the $10.95 Breakfast Burrito was absolutely HUGE. Lots of Green Chile sauce. Couple this with a Bloody Mary and it makes for a pleasant food coma. The rest of the breakfast menu seemed pretty standard. I saw Eggs Benedict... another brunch favorite. Pretty sure that they have a full bar. I saw plenty of beer being drank. I didn't have a chance to look at the lunch/dinner menu. It also looked like there was plenty of space inside for colder weather. Great addition to the Denver Golf scene. I could totally see coming even on a day I didn't golf.

I see they just added a cute hanging side on the front, so it's easier to locate. Their interior is divided by the huge rectangular bar in the middle. It gives space to both sides. There are TVs all around. There is also an outdoor patio that is perfect for warmer nights. I've been a handful of times and was able to experience it busy and slow! The first time we went is for an event after a Billy Strings concert, and the place was packed. Even then, the drinks came pretty fast. On the slower times, I was able to order their craftier cocktails. Their cocktails are decent. The major upside of this place is the prices! I find them to be on the cheaper side of Denver drinks. Latchkey has quickly become a go-to of mine and can't wait to see them grow more!

There are so many activities you can participate in - pool, darts, a "fun" vending machine that does not disperse food or drink, watch sports, photo booth, hang outside on their patio, hang inside at the numerous tables and chairs, or hang out at the bar with the bartenders - there is so much to do! You can bring your own food in as well. It is set up for large groups! Service was great, tables were clean as was the bathroom. It's a fun place to be, especially on a Saturday night!

Two others had a couple of the special cocktails on the menu and loved them. We decided to order six appetizers, two main courses, and two desserts. We split everything four ways so it ended up like a nine course tasting menu experience. Who knew cabbage could be so good? Haha!!! Standout dishes were the qual, clams, borscht, warm salad and the desserts. The place is small so reservations advised. Wait staff and cooks are friendly. Aside - one person in our party wasn't enthused about Eastern European cuisine and was a convert by the end. If you enjoy well-prepared, delicious food full of taste, check out Molotov. There is a reason this was rated one of the top restaurants in the US a few years ago.

He gave us recommendations and was proud of how much food we ordered between two asian women. The affirmation paired well with the food. Our favorite was the Clambasa. I was worried the kielbasa would overpower the littleneck clams but it was perfect together. You can taste all the ingredients in the dish well. The bone marrow was gone before I could take a picture---rightfully so. But the horseradish mustard blew my mind. The ONLY reason I'm not raving anout the Shuba salad is because a good friend of mine makes it so much better. No skin off of Molotov's back at all, homemade at custom to me will always win. The quail was a disappointing. I didn't notice that the sauce was listed as BBQ. I could not taste the quail. By the time the Porchetta came, we were readilly full...but that didn't matter. Crisp, fatty and flavorful. I recommend the horseradish horilka for all the dishes. Lastly, the pistachio blintz. "Not too sweet," is the Asian's highest praise to any dessert and this deserves it. LOVELY and light. A perfect end to a rich and savory dinner. And no, do not pair this with the horseradish horlike (just in case you were wondering). For this visit, my sister and I decided to sit in the patio area and sit under their local resident regular, the squirell in the tree (his name is Vlad, but his street name is Chad). But next time, I would op to sit inside. It is very cozy with PLENTY of things for your eyes to scrutinize. The first visit was not enough to take everything in, both visually and gastricly (no more room left). A repeat visit is warranted and highly recommended.

The pizza, burger and fries were amazing. The biscuit breakfast sandwiches are always delicious as well. Usually restaurants have one or two good items but, Atomic Cowboy has impressed me with everything I've tried there. The pizza is traditional thin NY style, their burger is award winning and their biscuits are a local favorite! The restaurant was decorated so nicely for the holidays, it was very festive. The staff were friendly but, were having some issues with a new ordering system and ended up missing one of our items. Also, I was disappointed with the kids chicken biscuit, it was very small. But, overall we love this place and it has something for everyone!

I also went too the other Location on Baker maybe or one of the streets in 23 but didn't eat anything cause I was Gluten Free at the time and that restaurant has a unique design but the Colfax Location is much more spacious and cozy.
