It's a warm bright space that transitions seamlessly from indoors to out when it's as nice out as it was. Great service, good beer selection, a very delicious birria grilled cheese, a visit from the Dos Equis rep, and a Husker victory to cap it off. Can't ask for a better trip to the bar. We've had this on the list for an embarrassing amount of time and finally decided to pop in for the monday burger special. Burger+Fries+Beer=$10! Service was great and the food was yummy. The food at Stoney's is never great. We've been twice, this last time we got the loaded waffle fries since we figured it would be pretty hard to screw up. The waffle fries were overcooked and the cheese sauce was just not good. Service was also not very good, no one came by our table for a good 15 minutes after we sat ourselves. We stopped in for trivia night a few weeks back. Parking in this neighborhood is a challenge, so it's easier if you can carpool or get their by foot, bike etc.. We came here to watch some sports. Not only did they put our game on but they also took exquisite care of us all the way around. We had specialty cocktails and I highly recommend the John Daly. We also tried some of the beers on tap. The staff was on top of our order. They made sure we never ran out of a drink before offering to grab us another. The restaurant is pleasantly breezy. It's definitely a happy sporty vibe. I really enjoyed the high ceilings. The food was creative yet still bar food. We had loaded buffalo chicken waffle fries and Mac and cheese egg rolls. You'll get the thrill of looking at someone and with your eyes saying, "We are coming for you... on the _________!" (insert field, court, ring, horse, whatever event is on) Thanks to the Colts vs. Texans game, we discovered this. With a decent size party, I was curious how seating would work. Quickly, I learned there was no need to worry. It's open seating and there's lots of it, even a pretty big patio for a nice day. Our party easily found a spot in the fairly busy Stoney's. Our waitress may of been the MVP of the experience. She had a great sense of humor and handled our party of 12 with ease. She never missed a drink or food order, which always impresses me when you have a big party. There was a SHIP load of items ordered by our table. Maybe all the appetizers? Haha. I did not try them all, however, what caught my tastebuds the most was the Sweet Potato Fries. So it started out rough. I seated myself as it states and I wanted a table by the open window area which is in clear view of the bar. Not sure who the waitress was at first although I eventually seen her waiting tables on the other end of the bar. I was there a good 10 minutes and 2 gentleman walked in and sat at a table next to the door and mine. Within a few minutes she greeted and took their order and then she proceeded to see me and take my order. The interaction was rushed, I did come for a special so I already knew what I wanted. She confirmed the special. 3 beef flour tacos for 2.50 each apart of taco week app. I ordered a house margarita and it was aight. I also ordered a Modelo to get more points on the app. A friend of mine just happened in to get a beer. about 10 minutes into her beer a bee flew in the cup, we covered it and it flew back out. She took it back to the waitress and explained the situation. A few moments later a different lady walked over and asked what happened. We explained and she replaced the beer. The waitress came over at one point I said I wanted to pay, they did not provide a printed copy she simply told me the total which was over 30.00 I requested a copy of my check and unfortunately it was not correct which was not a big surprise. I was charged 10.00 for the 3 tacos when it should have been 7.50. So i was over charged 2.50 Also on the check a impact charge of .78 which I have never really seen. My total including the tip I left which I should not have was 37.81. At the very bottom of the check they have a additional tip suggestion's (the nerve). I tip very well even when the experience is less the appeasing. My tip on this service was 20% the mobile device they use for payments with credit card automatically default to this so be careful. In the end I feel like I made a bad decision choosing this establishment on this day. read more

The staff are really good about finding us a table large enough for our party even though we had to wait for a little bit. The quality of service you get really depends on your server we've had servers who are super attentive, as well as servers who are less . The restaurant is extremely busy so you have to do your best to flag down stuff to order drinks or order more food I didn't anticipate the food here being super great, but it actually was not that bad. The absolute worst service on the face of the planet. The bartender was rude and walked away multiple times while trying to get the check. Abrupt and rude are the themes to the bartenders at this excuse for a local bar. Aside from the lack of service and the unfriendly attitude, I did not feel welcome and do not recommend this bar if it was the last bar in Denver. Zero tip well deserved. Great spot for NFL games on Sunday. Very loud and busy but lots of tv's with all of the games on. I had the Smash Burger and it was awesome. We stopped for a quick rest and drink while walking around all day. This was a nice find, situated at a large intersection. On a Thursday afternoon, there was practically nobody else in the place expect for a small group of 3 others so we basically had the place to ourselves. The bartender was friendly and even though were the only people there, not constantly bothering us. We just had a few ciders, probably some of the better that we had during our trip; drinks were reasonably priced. Plenty of seating options and many many TVs, they had March Madness and a Barcelona match playing while I was there. I came in for a birthday party brunch. I always preplan my meal and for this place, I just couldn't! They have so many delicious things on the menu but luckily I was able to try bites from other people's plates. I got the breakfast burrito which was amazing, the queso and the green chili smothered on tip was great. The Mac and cheese egg rolls- perfection. And the cauliflower Buffalo bites, a nice little crisp and spice to them. The staff here was on top of filling up our bottomless mimosas, our server was Nick and he was an absolute delight!
