The ole DNVR bar. What once was my favorite place "Three Lions". I gotta say I really like this place. Great place for World Cup and soccer or just to talk to the girl sitting next to you who clearly isn't having it but you persist tearing down those walls with your hilarious jokes and shenanigans. But I digress. Justin, the heavily tattooed and I suppose some might say handsome bartender. It's totally normal for another man to recognize a fellow man of handsomeness, fight me. Anyway, Justin is the best. Not just because we may or may not be friends, spoiler alert we are, but because the dude is just great to talk to. I've enjoyed this place everytime I've been in. The food is pretty good, the drink prices aren't bad either. It's Denver, is there anywhere even around anymore where drinks are cheap? Nope, thanks Obama. Back to the review. Their bathroom is suitable for the peein, they have about a million tvs but none showing Pickle Ball, I get down with that we don't need to see or hear that sport any more than we already do. The staff is great, very social and no one seems grumpy they have to deal with customers. Too many places these days just don't have great customer service. Not here, nope they will talk to you even if you don't want to listen. lol. If I hear one more story about someone's breakup I'm gonna just start hugging all of these broken souls. Yeah man, violence is out and hugging is in, fight me. Point being, through all my ramblings, just go here and watch some soccer and show some love to the bar staff and any homie going through relationship drama. We popped into DNVR Bar for an early morning watch party and it was a great bar experience. Considering I was half asleep on the ride there, it was so nice to grab a cup of coffee before an early morning pint. The person working the bar was so friendly and made sure the TVs were set to our match and that the volume was high enough. The bar had plenty of seating and was clean with a modern feel. There was bar seating, high tops and then some lower tables with a shelf full of games. Some of the watch party guests had kids with them and they spent the time in that area playing. I loved that they have four screens set up to be one giant screen, and as someone with bad eyesight it really made a difference. Their bathrooms had multiple stalls and were better than most bar restrooms I've been in. I would absolutely come back here for a watch party or just for a pint. read more

I've been here a few times and did a sports draft here that turned out to be a bit of a cluster f even though there was only us and a few other tables in the whole place. The servers and bartenders were cool personality-wise so I'm not sure what the issue is here when we had certain specials promised to us then ignored. It's Denver, man, we could go anywhere and if I'm doing the draft next year, I'm gonna super-duper-hard push for another sports bar place in the area that actually gives people deals for showing up and drafting their teams. Cause you know, we don't have to choose to show up here or there. Food is basic bar food (maybe a tad below). Not inexpensive, either. The lower priced stuff is because it's super small portions. I don't normally buy pitchers/drink beer as much anymore, but we were going with beer on this day. Are pitchers really $35+ now?! Shite!!! For like basic light beer, too, we didn't get the high ABVs, or anything. Then add your 6% fee (3% service fee, because why pay staff more when customers can pay it? & another 3% for using a credit card because it's super safe to walk around with cold hard cash & that's what most of us readily have on us in the year 2025) on top of 8% tax and a 20% tip that everyone thinks they deserve (though Denver has one of the highest hourly pay rates in the entire USA, and it's really not that big of a city, y'all) and wait, is one, single pitcher of a lighter beer now almost $50!! read more

I had a great lunch while watching the end of the women's Rugby World Cup. Lots of tvs to watch your favorite game. The staff is so conscientious on making sure all games are showing and your favorite is in perfect view! I stopped by for some lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the great service and food. I had a hard time selecting, but I ended up ordering the Big Game Burrito smothered in green chili. So tasty! I'll be back when I'm in the neighborhood! read more

Hope my guys from the DNVR Broncos podcast read this. Considering how much RK has talked about food and restaurants, either his standards are subpar or he needs to hire a different operator to realize his vision. I won't even consider the slow service and long wait for food in the rating. I'll just leave two notes. 1. If you're serious about the food here, have different hot sauce options other than Tabasco. 2. If you're serious about your wings being one of the most popular things to order at this sports bar, don't send them out cold. Run an operation where the wings come out hot and fresh out of the fryer and not drenched in sauce. Or don't talk about food like you know what great tastes like. Solid place to come and watch games !! There are TV's everywhere that there's literally not a bad seat in the whole place. Service was fast which was awesome. They really have it nailed down for getting your drinks fast. We got the chicken wings which were great and the wrap was awesome. Good food overall for a bar. I read a lot of reviews that were less than positive. Frankly, I don't get it. I had superior service while I was here. The beers were cold and they had a solid tap list. My food, the Forsburger was pretty freaking tasty. Yeah, it came in at medium well when I had asked for medium rare, but it still was delicious. The onion rings as my side were quite tasty. Yes, I used to really enjoy the 3 Lions that was here, and I still miss it. But, this is a worthy successor to the space. Food is mediocre but that's not the reason for the low score, but doesn't help either. But whoever operates this place seems to have never run a restaurant or bar it would seem. Understaffed especially during this time of year when most sports bars are packed due to hockey, March madness, etc. You can tell it weighs on the staff and they aren't the friendliest of people especially the bartenders. And the place could rake in the money but instead you stand there for a while waiting for service. Sad because it's a great location for a sports bar and the tvs and the space are perfect for one but unfortunately they need someone that can manage the staff and knows how to schedule. read more

Very cool sports bar! We came for an Axios event and stayed for a snack and Steelers game. The place is great, with screens all around it. If you want to cheer your team, that's the right spot. We decided to have some snacks - my gluten full companion went for the reuben droughts and fries, and I went for a frosburger on a gluten free bun with salad. The fries are not gluten free, but I hear they are well seasoned and very tasty. Both options were delicious. We were actually surprised, having lower expectations from a sports bar, but the food was really, really, really good. I'd definitely repeat that again. Since I can't drink beer, I tried the cider they have - damn amazing (stem apricot haze I look at you!). Overall, big thanks to Axios, this is a great find. I'm sure we'll pop back again! read more

My brother and I pivoted to DNVR bar for the first time after the abbey tavern wasn't open until 11. We wanted to watch the Newcastle v Man City match at 10:30. Wish I would've grabbed the name of the bartender - he was polite, attentive, and went above and beyond to check on dairy free options for us. Though NBC/NBC sports isn't part of their sports TV package (how?!) he secured their peacock password to get the match up and audio was turned on. 12/10 service. Food was solid - I had fish & chips and my brother ordered the French toast. Both were very tasty. The moment that absolutely sealed the deal that this is a place we want to support going forward was how he handled the homeless person who came in. Mind you: it's -5 degrees today. Bartender was kind and compassionate when handling this person's request (and very likely looking for a way to be out of the freezing cold for an hour or so). Incredible spot and extraordinary first impression. Will definitely be back again. read more

Nice sports bar with lots of sports decorations and a bunch of TVs for games. I stopped in here to have a drink while waiting for my dinner reservation nearby and knew I had to come back. I came back during March Madness for dinner and drinks and it was great. The staff was really friendly and there are tons of TVs around so you were able to watch all the different games. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was spicy! If you can take a lot of heat then I would suggest you give it a shot. read more

TVs surrounded us and we were asked upon sitting down if we had any game suggestions we wanted to watch... great service! We ordered burgers and they were delicious. Definitely will come. I will say, if you're ordering a burger keep it simple because they charge you for EVERYTHING and do not have a lot of other burgers on the menu. For example you pay for the burger, then (I think) the cheese, the bacon, etc etc... that adds up real quick and not ideal... so I opted for the one the menu to avoid all the additional costs and just settled with the Blake street burger.... So I chose the blue cheese one to avoid being charged so much more for normal toppings which was a bummer. Beers were $6.00 so that was nice but the expensive build a burger wasn't ideal. We went to watch an Avs playoff game on a week night and got a great seat. The place was full of avs fan. We had great service too! Love that they have breckenridge brewery beers. The food was also great. We got the trio dips as an appetizer, great. I had the goaltendeds app for dinner, 5 chicken tenders and fries and was very good. One of the most amazing sports bars anywhere! During the Avs Stanley Cup run this year, if I wasn't at Ball Arena, I was at DNVR!!! Grew up in Houston without any hockey so I wasn't really that into it but this bar turned me into a hockey fan! Service was a 4 star. The bar tender was nice, checked on GF options. Not busy and it took a long time to get another drink and didn't happen during HH, so we didn't order a second. Ambiance - 2 stars. The potential is there, but no music or sound on and just a bunch of TVs (I'd give the TV set up a 5 star, but a quiet bar is WIERD). If they get the sound fixed probably a decent place to watch the game. Place was empty, but that could be based on day and time (5ishp on Tuesday - happy hour is 4-6p). Food - 1 star. The guacamole was bad in the three dip starter. Literally bad - taste was bland but the actual guacamole was bad and oxidized so it looked brown and old, and tasted like I would get sick. Chips were stale. I don't recommend that starter, which made us second guess having dinner so we chose to leave and go somewhere else. Can't speak to the rest of the menu. Might come back for a game to see if it's better, but not my first choice. Hope that helps. read more

What an underwhelming experience. Pickles were horrible. Three piles stuck together and burnt, small portion for $12. Cheeseburger pretty good, discovered a 75 cent charge for the mayo I needed for my burger. Decent beers, but pricey. Bill comes and there's the hidden 3% mandatory service charge. If I was stranded on an island and they say the only food I can eat is a DNVR burger, I'm taking the turtle burger. Been a regular here for a couple weeks now. I ask for the same waitress every time- Amanda. She has been so amazing not only in service, but also in friendship, trust, and respect. To be truthful, it's one of the main reasons we come back. Besides that, the food is unreal the drinks at a VERY reasonable price; happy hours and playoff games are amazing but Amanda makes them so much more enjoyable just by being the worker/ person she is.
