Sometimes the best places are near the hotel... this is one. Southern style breakfast/lunch meals are in full effect here. You'll find inside & patio seating(dogs welcome on the patio), full bar and full menu. Clean, bright lighting and plenty of seating. We beat the rush so seating was easy. I chose the Shrimp & Grits - excellent flavor, not too spicy, creamy & cheesy grits with a nice portion of shrimp. Chorizo was a nice touch. For my wife it was the Bourbon and Peppercorn Glazed Meatloaf with Mac & Cheese and Green Beans. The meat loaf was a little hard in the outside. Inside it was tender and delicious. The glaze added a superb taste. I was truly impressed. The Cheese & Mac was also flavorful not overcooked pasta with creamy cheese. Service was great. Our dining experience was excellent.
After having an amazing experience at Tupelo Honey in Charlotte, we figured we'd run a little experiment: Was that location just unusually good, or is the whole brand this consistent? Turns out... they're showing off. We ordered the exact same dishes--the Sweet & Spicy Chicken and the Shrimp & Grits--and somehow they were just as ridiculously good as we remembered. I honestly can't remember the last time I cleaned an entire plate at a restaurant without eventually saying, "I'm full." Apparently, Tupelo Honey doesn't recognize those words. The cocktails were fantastic, the food was outstanding, and then we noticed something that probably should come with a warning label: a table with self-serve champagne on tap. Thankfully, we exercised the rarest form of adult self-control and didn't sit there. The Hangover Gods nodded in approval. But then we saw the $3 mimosas... so naturally we made a couple of questionable--but delicious--life decisions. As if that wasn't enough, they also have daily drink specials. Three-dollar martinis? That's the kind of math I can get behind. Do yourself a favor and give Tupelo Honey a try. The food is consistently excellent, the drinks are dangerously affordable, and you'll probably leave wondering why you ever eat anywhere else. Just remember... your willpower is about to be tested.
Whenever I can find a restaurant that has a nice strawberry salad like I had here, I always jump at the chance. Today was the exception in terms of how good this salad was. It had lots of strawberries with sliced candied walnuts, red onion and a very good selection of greens as well. I probably missed some ingredients but I was eating so fast. I don't think I paid as much attention as I should have. It was that good.
We had a great experience at Tupelo Honey! We made a reservation in advance and were taken to our table right away when we arrived. While I was not a huge fan of the mimosa, the other drinks were tasty!! I had the BLT sandwich which was cooked to perfection and a great quantity portion. My friend's fried chicken looked amazing and he said it was battered well. I'll try that next time!
Ahhh, what a Wonderful place to come for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The location is amazing right by Union Station and the center of everything with beautiful large windows! I ordered tupelo shrimp & grits, american white gulf shrimp with smoky chorizo sausage, peperonata, and creole sauce over creamy stone-ground goat cheese grits, topped with scallions & griddled lemon. I was in hog heaven the food was so good! I ordered a coffee and was amazed by the presentation of my coffee. I thought it would be a cup of coffee, cream and sugar. But the presentation on a little plate had me smiling from ear to ear. My daughter ordered the salmon with cream potatoes. She said it was delicious! Our Server was Awesome!!! Love the location, food, the Server, the ambiance about this restaurant! Ten stars!!!
Chose this place on a whim because this location was close to the station and I just really wanted some brunch. Honestly, at first I was let down by the fact that my meal, the morning mountain bowl, was mostly a soup. The potatoes were a very nice addition but in my opinion too little for how big the serving was. However the BLT was delicious, and the fries that came with it were spectacular. The actual amount of food that we got for the price was great, and our server was friendly. I honestly really liked this restaurant's options and would stop by a different location if I came across it on a trip.
I had high hopes for Tupelo Honey based on reviews. We came as a group, I know they were probably understaffed that day so it took a bit to get seated/service but the staff was very nice. We came for brunch and overall food was okay. I think the best thing we ate was the shrimp and grits. The fried pickles were very salty. The Honey pecan chicken salad sandwich with Brussels sprouts was good but felt there could have been more filling. Their mimosa flight is fun! We enjoyed that. I do wonder if dinner is perhaps better than brunch.
Stopped here on a visit to Denver. Parking was a bit tedious but that's expected downtown. At the time we arrived they weren't too busy. I ordered a meal special that included fried chicken, pancakes, eggs and bacon. I was a little sad that it wasn't specified that I would get boneless chicken versus bone in. Overall it was a good meal. My pancakes were fluffy! I ordered a side of toast that didn't come out and I had to remind the waitress twice to get it. I also ordered the mimosa flight. They were all great but my fav was the, cinnamon apple flavor.

Could have been 3.5 but couldn't tell since the food we wanted were out of stock. Not a bad place however I'm confused why at 1:30PM the place already ran out of 3 sides (mac and cheese, okra, green bean bacon); a starter (green tomato); and the main (pulled pork). 1 or 2 things would have been okay but to have all of them out by then? Was there a rush hour? Is it that popular? It's hard to believe because again we were the only table groupf of 5 and when we came in there was only 3 tables... Even so it just seems unprofessional to run out of those things when they close at 8. So many unanswered questions, do they restock at a certain time for dinner? Was there a rush which was why they ran out of food? Were they just not prepared well? Anyway, about the food-- it was okay. The chicken poblano soup was yummy, fries were crispy good, the grits were bland, chicken was moist, but the chicken breast itself felt a little dry and lean. It was yummy for being hungry but eh, I don't think I would go again. Maybe be convinced to go Saturday/Sunday for their $3 mimosas overall 3.5
We loved the Tupelo honey in Asheville and when we found out TH was in Denver! We lost our minds. We loved loved their biscuits, their sweet tea, fried green tomatoes, fried chicken... so of course we had to come here!
Alright Tupelo Honey that damn banana pudding.... yes please! So much love and effort into a perfect dessert Peach chicken and waffles also a yes for me. Old fashioned flight... over the damn top! Ohh and the magic color changing lemonade thing, will do again! I obviously had a terrible time here LOL Service was great, Savannah was a gem. I came on a Sunday morning and was seated quickly upon arrival. The menu is quite extensive with plenty of variety, but I definitely had my eye on the chicken since that's what they are known for. Here's what I ordered: 1. The biscuits for a cause were delicious, and I love that the proceeds go to charity. 2. The fried pickles had a thicker batter than I usually prefer, but they were still tasty, especially paired with the ranch. 3. The buttermilk fried chicken tenders were outstanding and the three sauces they came with were all equally amazing. 4. The honey dusted fried chicken was perfectly crispy and full of flavor. Every dish exceeded my expectations, but the real surprise was the side of potatoes. I have never had potatoes like these; they were the crispiest and most flavorful I have ever tasted. I was left genuinely impressed. Overall, everything was fantastic, and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great meal.
Yum! Cute place right next to Union Station. Parking is a bit difficult to find a spot, but TH makes up for it. Adorable decor abounds TH. They went with the bee theme and committed, as one should. Brunch looked tasty but I went for a lunch menu item of grilled cheese and tomato soup- yum! The grilled cheese was well prepared with a couple of cheese thrown in the mix, all grilled to perfection on Texas toast. The tomato soup was divine. It was clearly homemade with added spices and bits of fresh tomatoes. In staying with the tomato theme, I also had a Bloody Mary- spiced up. It was very tasty. Our server was friendly. They are known for their homemade biscuits. I sampled one from my friend's order and it was tasty for sure. Will definitely go back to try some more deliciousness.

Really solid spot for brunch. The fried chicken was super juicy with great crunch and honestly the Brussels sprouts stole the show for sure; crispy, seasoned well and not soggy at all.. We recently ate at Tupelo's Southern Kitchen & Bar and had a pretty good experience overall. We split a half fried chicken meal with mac and cheese, Parmesan potatoes, and a house salad. The fried chicken was the standout. It was dusted with honey and spices, cooked perfectly, and had a really nice flavor without being overly sweet. The Parmesan potatoes were also very good. The mac and cheese was decent, but nothing particularly memorable. The house salad was nice and fresh, and the ranch dressing was really good. Ranch can be hit or miss depending on the restaurant, so I always appreciate a good one! For dessert, we ordered the Mississippi Mud Pie, and it was excellent. It was basically a layer of crumbled Oreo with coffee mousse and fudge on top. If you like chocolate and coffee flavors, this is definitely worth trying. The servers were friendly enough, but the service felt a little distant at times. It seemed like you were kind of left on your own rather than getting much interaction or checking in from the staff. Nothing terrible, but it kept the experience from feeling exceptional. Overall, the food was good, especially the fried chicken and Mississippi Mud Pie. I'd come back and try some of their other Southern dishes. read more
Tupelo Honey is one of my favorite spots, especially because of the people who work there. The bartenders and servers have always been so friendly and are a big part of why I enjoy coming back. Their spiked strawberry lemonade is my go-to drink, and the fact that it's currently only $6 makes it even better. They also often have great food deals, which makes it an easy choice when you're looking for good food and drinks without spending a ton. I would definitely recommend stopping by for the drinks, food, and great service- location right by Union Station and has an outdoor patio! read more

Went there for drinks on Valentines. The bar had 6 people at it. The barstools were cracked in the seats and the bar had not been wiped down. The bartenders were not engaging and I took a bit to get drinks. The martinis were watered down. At one point the bartender walks up and opens up the glass washer and says "I hate this place,there is broken glass in here." The back bar had bar towels and an open bag of Doritos on it. Located conveniently near the Union Station this restaurant had a lot to offer. My friend and I went in for brunch. The restaurant was quite busy but we were able to get a spot at the communal table right away. It's a gorgeous restaurant with a lot of space and beautifully decorated. For drinks, my friend got the Iced Dirty Chai and based on our server's recommendation, I got the Shaken Iced Matcha Latte. The Dirty Chai was delicious (a little on the sweeter side but still good). At first they gave me the wrong drink (coffee instead of the matcha) but when they brought me the right drink (Matcha Latte) I wished I had kept the coffee. The matcha drink was awful. Purely sugar and it kinda tasted like a soda? If you love matcha I would advise against this item. As for food, I ordered the Sriracha Honey Chicken & Waffles while my friend got the vegetarian version which was chicken replaced with Cauliflower. I loved my Sriracha Honey, it was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, the chicken was tender and the waffles were crispy on the outside. My friend thought her's was mid and could've used a bit more seasoning. This meal was a bit on the heavier side for me, 1,000 cals is a lot for brunch. read more
I got a gift certificate for here & really feasted like a king on my outing. I tried a little bit of EVERYTHING & when I tell you... I was not expecting everything to be so good. The friend pickles were the perfect breading to pickle ratio. The mocktail was thoughtful, not just juice. The health shot was *actually delicious.* And that banana pudding, wow. Literally everything was amazing. The flavors, ingredients, presentation, delivery. 20 stars. You have to go here. And we weren't even there for brunch, which this place would clearly do impeccably. I just happened to secure some breakfast dishes for my main meal since I'm mostly GF. Highly recommend. Staff was great. Vibe was comfy - upscaled, but relaxed about it. read more

This use to be one of my absolute all time favorites. I haven't been to one in about 7 years and as I'm visiting Denver I see it so I immediately try out this downtown location. Personally, it just isn't the same. The chicken blt sandwich was the best part outside of the service. I would still recommend trying this restaurant out if you're in the area as it wasn't bad but it wasn't what I remember. read more

*CELIAC / GLUTEN FREE REVIEW very cute venue and kind staff, the in-person menu is a little different than the online menu with a few more GF options - including GF buns + bread for sandwiches and burgers. I got the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, with the fried chicken subbed for grilled chicken. They do toast buns on the grill, so I asked if they could cook my chicken in a separate pan and the waiter said that would be no problem. they do not have a dedicated fryer. I also got a side of the goat cheese grits, everything was yummy and I did not get sick! read more

Hubby loved the chicken and waffles and my breakfast plate was good. Something did hurt my stomach - think it was the cross contamination from fryer (potatoes) or the oil they used (many allergies) but that was the choice I made. Stopped into Tupelo Honey on November 16 for a late-night dinner after the Broncos game, and it ended up being one of the weekend's highlights. The wait wasn't long, the staff was friendly, and the whole place had a warm, lively vibe -- cute signs, good lighting, the whole thing just felt welcoming. Food-wise, they crushed it. The fried green tomatoes were the standout -- excellent flavor and honestly the best thing I ate all weekend. The shrimp and grits were rich and comforting, and the chicken and waffles (plus some extra fried chicken) hit all the right notes. Portions and prices felt fair, especially considering the quality. Overall, an easy 5-star stop. Great atmosphere, great food, and a place I'd come back to. read more

If you want a reliable modern southern style breakfast then this is your place. Their cold brew is very strong and I had to adjust it a bit. The portions are large and the food is plenty flavorful. Lots of southern food and creative drinks to offer and Tupelo Honey for brunch. They currently have a $3 martini lunch (limit 3, with vodka or gin, must order food). My slightly dirty vodka martini was just right. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy off the Mile-High menu. It was lightly battered shrimp in a hoagie roll with shredded lettuce, tomato, and a remoulade sauce. It came with a choice of side, and I picked the crispy fries which were as advertised. My only issue with my food was that one of the shrimp was not deveined. I am sure it was just an oversight since the rest of the shrimp were fine. Our server was attentive and made sure we always had refills on beverages. The decor is a cute nod to the south with fun terms relating to biscuits, bees, chickens, and grits. read more

Came for brunch on a Tuesday, seated quickly, our server savanna was very nice, food was a bit of a wait but to expected when it's made fresh to order. I had the fried green tomatoes with goat cheese grits, wow to say the least. Tomatoes were fried perfectly and the grits were super creamy and the red aioli was tangy and paired perfectly. My wife got the sweet and spicy half chicken, came out pipping hot, sauce was delicious and chicken was crispy and juicy! Lastly the sweet potato pancake, not too sweet but didn't really taste like sweet potato more like spices you would find in a pie. Over all I would recommend coming here & giving a try! The restaurant was pretty clean & so was the bathroom. Parking was a bit of an hassle but with this location in downtown Colorado I guess it's also to be expected. read more

I love biscuits, especially those from Tupelo Honey so when I saw there was one near my hotel, I knew where I was eating breakfast! It was a Sunday morning before 11 and they were already busy. I grabbed a seat at the bar and the harried barman took my order of coffee and chicken and biscuits. The coffee was good (although I would have loved a refill) and the chicken and biscuits was great. It also came with some crispy bacon which was exceptional. Since I wasn't going to eat until much later that night, I had a small banana pudding which was also incredible. This place knows brunch!! Tucked right behind Union Square, this southern style restaurant gets two thumbs up! If you want a great vibe, beautiful atmosphere, excellent, friendly servers, this is for you! Hubby and I ordered the cornbread sharable, chicken with biscuits and gravy. Yes! I believe they have bottomless mimosas on both Saturday and Sunday day. If I recall correctly they start at 9:00am

Definitely! Not sure if you can sit at the chef's table (has its own beer tap) with a party that size but you can definitely get an outdoor table or tables in the back. I would recommend calling and getting a reservation.
