This place usually has such great reviews that I wonder if my chef was having a bad day. Steak ordered med rare was over cooked, baked potato tasted boiled, salad was from a bag? Soft drink was way overpriced.

i'm on my 4th visit here and i am impressed. it's consistent. honest and great food. service is fast and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]i also enjoy the motown hits on the speakers here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] i'm a breakfast enjoyer and split my time all over the city and i have to admit this is my favorite breakfast spot.

Swift's Kitchen is the greasy spoon I've been longing to live by. There's nothing more romantic than having a spot around the corner from your house, one where you can roll out of bed looking your worst, and being revived back to life by coffee and eggs. Well, at least in my opinion, man. It's old school, maybe a little too old. Cash only, torn leather booths, the colors brown and orange surrounding the restaurant. Admittedly there's something charming about it. I'm a big breakfast guy, and Swift's actually serves a "big breakfast" plate. Two eggs your way, bacon, sausage, hash browns and toast of your choosing. I'd recommend their Texas toast if you like thick and buttery bread! As far as the rest of the plate was concerned, the eggs were over cooked, the sausage was leathery, and the hash browns weren't seasoned. These are fairly easy fixes for the kitchen and ones that shouldn't be overlooked, although at a diner like Swift's you don't expect a gourmet meal. I mean, it's cheap breakfast food. Our tab was $15 for the two of us and we left with full bellies. Our server was friendly and refilled our coffees. I expect many more visits to Swift's in the foreseeable future. Who knows, maybe I'll even update my review after a few more go 'rounds.

Don't judge this book by its cover. Once inside its homey ambiance offers up a variety of foods - I was there for breakfast and all the traditional foods are available. Good and attentive service - always offering up more coffee. Worth a trip.

Great beer garden. Lots of outdoor seating. It was very busy when I visited on a Friday evening,…read morebut it didn't feel overly crowded. The staff kindly gave multiple reminders before closing. The Japanese rice lager (forgot the name) was amazing. So good, in fact, that they ran out on this particular evening. As posted throughout the bar, they have instituted a mandatory 18% service fee in lieu of tips. For better or worse, be aware of this. It means you don't need to tip. As far as I'm concerned, it didn't have a negative impact on the service from the bartenders.

A great option for young families on a warmer day…read more I stopped by Edgewater Beer Garden with some friends with the intention of enjoying a seemingly warmer Denver winter day, and we had no trouble finding seating on the patio. Maybe we were just brave, but with blankets and the outdoor heaters the space served well for a small get together. The inside, however, was PACKED. Was it something in the air that influenced every young family West of Denver to crave local brews and fried food options? Or is this just the typical crowd for this establishment? Either way, I don't believe myself to be the target market for this location. After a few hours, the children's birthday party and other large family gatherings occupying the warm interiors finally disappeared, and we were able to enjoy all the splendors of their heated former firehouse. The staff who was wandering the facilities to take empty trays and glasses from tables were exceptionally nice, the food options were as plentiful as the variety on tap, and the patio's ambience was exactly what we needed. Ticked all the boxes you'd expect of a suburban beer hall. Overall, not really my scene, as I don't have a golden doodle or a curious toddler, but if that sounds like an apt description for the company you keep, you'll enjoy this spot immensely.

Especially outstanding in this regard are Rachel and Mallory who often run the counter area. They both make it a true pleasure to come sit and enjoy breakfast. It's a little bit of a drive but worth it. I find the food quality to be very high and the whole atmosphere is just plain nice. It's just thick bacon covered with brown sugar sprinkled on top. $10 I ordered the corned beef eggs Benedict. Comes with 2 eggs and a side. Choose the tots. The eggs were clearly not traditional poached, but cooked in some sort of cup or even microwaved. The Hollandaise was water thin and had no flavor. The corned beef was not canned, but was shredded and in long strands stretched across both slices of muffin. It wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't very good. Meh. Wife ordered a single piece of French toast as a side. That was pretty good. Oh yeah... there's a 1% kitchen staff fee, and a 2% "restaurant impact service charge", and another Edgewater Improvement Fee. They don't mention that until you see the bill. We came. We tried. We'll move on.
