Located across from the lake; we came on Saturday 10am ish and it was packed. Make sure you call ahead to get on the wait list to avoid waiting. Service is pretty slow, you can tell they are busy. Think our server came by once for drinks, once for water, and once to bring the check. Food wise, portions are fair for the price point. We got a chicken fried steak and southwest Benedict. Chicken fried steak was alright; I wasn't sure if they made it fresh or if it was a frozen one. Eggs were over easy and the dish was fine. The Benedict was a little salty and expected some more flavor. Basically this is a Snooze AM equivalent. Whenever I go to Denver, the first place I think of for my favorite travel pastime (brunch) is Snooze. I was really excited to impress my husband with Snooze when we went to Denver on a daytrip mid-week. As should be expected, Snooze had, even on a COVID Tuesday morning, a sizeable wait (though at least they expanded significantly in the last few years to meet their demand!). Banana bread french toast... it tastes exactly the way it SHOULD taste. hominahomina. Sweet potato hash... an extraordinarily tasty, lower-guilt substitute for a bennie when I see banana bread french toast in my future. The husband's biscuits and gravy... as I recall he remarked something along the lines of "Best EVER!" ... And with those hashed brown potato cakes, which were a divine mix of crisp and salt. Probably great November-March for most. The rest of the year, you'd better like a tan Rupert really cannot do much about the awful atmosphere. But they could do more about the Ho-hum average food. Dull presentation of Signature Classic Benedict arrived with boring hash browns. No garnish. Yawn....Ditto for Biscuit and gravy. Passable, but not worth second degree burns! This place is fantastic! They don't do reservations, but you can call in an hour in advance to be placed on their waitlist which I highly recommend over the weekend. Everything on the menu sounded delicious with their own unique twist to each plate. I boldly chose to try the Southwest Benedict. The green chili cornbread base was brilliant, the slow roasted pulled pork didn't have an overwhelming taste, and the green chili hollandaise sauce was the perfect cherry on top I've tried this before at a different brunch restaurant and I did not like it at all but THIS plate was filled with delicious flavor! I couldn't decide between getting a savory dish or something like French toast, so along with the Benedict, I also ordered a side of apple cinnamon pancakes (gluten free) and that completely satisfied my sweet tooth and the side portion is perfect. read more

The employees were beyond friendly and gave us tons of good recommendations. Food came out quickly. The only thing that was lacking was that the ambiance seemed a little cold and sterile. Have been a delighted repeat customer at Rupert's for a few years now. On this day, we ordered via delivery. For the most part, I could rely on the quality of the food and professional preparation - regardless of dine-in or takeout. Not this time!! Absolutely highly disappointed and slightly disgusted, as I sit over the just delivered, photographed salad. Not only does the meat look and smell GROSS, but the 'rest' of the ingredients are shameful as well. Realize prices and all have gone up. They've gone up for the restaurant and for customer as well. So, I paid a bit over $15 for this salad - and I'm shocked. At the whole thing - not just those meat cubes. Thought at first that we'd be able to eat it and just not enjoy it. This delicious signature main course delicacy is a game changer on the Sloan's Lake brunch scene. This time around, my partner surprised me with delivery of brunch and wooooow. The banana nut french toast with strawberries and (candied?) walnuts was AMAZING. If you get nothing else, get that. It was presented especially well even for delivery! I can't remember what others they have but you probably can't go wrong with any of the french toast options! Along with that, we got Huevos Rancheros, which came with two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, slices of avocado, super saucy and thick "salsa", black beans, thick piece of potato hash.. all covered in a little hot sauce, and a few small tortillas on the side. Everything worked so, so well together. The fried pickles we got were yummy as well. I loved the biodegradable cups, packaging & paper straws. She was so attentive, happy and checked on us throughout our breakfast. We split the Breakfast Burrito with pulled pork, and a side of the Hash which comes with hollandaise sauce on the side. This is a sad review to write. Although we have had Rupert's as one of our regular spots for many years, it would seem they have lost their way. Went for breakfast on a Tuesday morning with family, pleasant staff as usual and most the food was good. However, I ordered eggs Benedict, and it was shocking. Because I was there with family members that don't complain, I held my tongue and ate it. Look, the problem was something that strikes me as beyond a one plate issue. The "poached" eggs were NOT poached eggs. These were either microwaved or the new supplier for Rupert's is selling them Mac Donald's Mcmuffin eggs.. these eggs were perfectly round, flat and hard.. imagine an egg McMuffin and you'll get it. We came here on Mother's Day and had a wonderful experience. I called to see if they did call ahead seating and they did which was awesome because you can check your status online. The wait was quoted at 1.5 hours but really took 1 hour which is to be expected on a busy restaurant holiday. I had the biscuits and gravy (of course) and that was really good. I'm on a quest to find the best biscuits and gravy in the area. (Don't know where has the best yet.) My table also got bacon, the vegan French toast, steak and eggs, and kids chocolate chip pancake. I really like that they have a vegan French toast since that is super rare. The bacon was crispy and delicious. The kids pancake was cute in the shape of a bear.
