A great spot for every season! During the summer, the rooftop is beautiful. We enjoy trivia on Tuesdays in the winter. The crew is super fun and nice and the drinks are good. They have food trucks as well.

EXCELLENT service, comradery, atmosphere, and BEER. #IceCutterKölsch Our favorite local pub. THE VERY BEST!!! No contest I'd give them an 11, if I could.

Tried this place again and it's atmosphere is still unwelcoming to anyone besides "their" geographic. My service was bad overall. When purchasing an above average priced Beer, while still expecting a pouring tip, the least you can do is pretend to like your job. if you are going to be discriminatory, the least you can do is make It appear as if you can tolerate your customers diversity. Do Not Patronize, there's so many better breweries in Denver!

Yet another brewery. Yet another bartender that doesn't grasp that they are not there to simply pour drinks. Yet another place with no music, but with Lots of Street Noise And food? $4.00 pretzels, and be happy they have those. Very Average Place

Joyride is a cute brewery in Sloan's Lake are. The rooftop is great vibes and the beer is tasty! The bartenders were friendly and helpful in picking out which beer I wanted.

I went to Joyride to watch a Nuggets game with some friends. There was more than enough seating for us and we always had a good view of multiple televisions. I enjoyed Joyride's selection of beer and how friendly the employees were.

Great brewery with good beers and also spacious with a rooftop area. There is also a good amount of free parking around in the area which is nice. Nice people as well.

I have been to quite a few breweries around the Denver area, and I think Joyride may be my favorite! It's in a cute area of Edgewater, right along a "main street" area with different businesses lining a few blocks. There are some parking lots nearby, though you will most likely have to find street parking. The interior is cute and spacious - I love how the first floor is open to the outside with big garage doors and great bar height tables along that area for people watching. I believe there is a rooftop too, though I did not check that area out. They had a great tap list with so many options and a great variety. I loved all of the beers that I tried in the flight my boyfriend and I ordered. You can do flights with either 3 or 6 pours. All were delicious and it is hard to pick a favorite. The sours and fruited beers were great, the raspberry one I tried tasted so fresh and had a strong, real raspberry taste. The Mexican lager was super refreshing for a warm day. I loved the food truck that was parked outside the brewery. They had mostly chicken products, and I really enjoyed the chicken tenders. They were super crispy and came out quickly. You can provide a phone number so that they can text you when your food is ready, perfect for grabbing a drink inside and hanging out while you wait! The bartender was super friendly, and so were those in the food truck. I will definitely be back, and would visit often if I lived nearby! I can't wait to return when back in the area!

    Just a beer :)

Walked over to Joyride after having dinner at US Thai Cafe with a date and had a lovely time. Well, we were buying time, so only I had a beer. So many breweries in Denver, so little time. Vibes are chill. Decent selection of beers. Friendly bartenders. Lots of seating. Pretty standard for a brewery. Love this neighborhood in general, so I'll probably be back while on a walk around Sloan Lake.

I came here on a Saturday night to taste some beer. I got a flight of six. The only one of the six that stood out was the cranberry sour. It was the really good. The other five beers were okay. Big taproom with a good vibe.

Ask the Community - Joyride Brewing

    Can I bring outside food?

    Yes

Are they no longer dog-friendly inside?

Unfortunately Jefferson County changed their laws about letting Animals inside establishments that serve any Food & Drink.…

Is this a good place for groups of 15-20?

I would definitely recommend calling to make a reservation as they are usually pretty crowded.

All kids like pizza. 2. Some kids like beer. 3. Some kids like soda. I think Hops & Pie is great for kids and I see lots of them there whenever I visit. 08JAN2012 Why isn't it named "Hops and Mac"? As in Macaroni and Cheese and bacon, ham hocks, peas, IPA. Went on a Sunday afternoon (will I be happy when the Donkeys are no longer on TV) to drink beers and eat. Decided to "step outside the box" and ordered "Mac & Cheese" instead of pizza. This is the best M&C I have ever eaten in a restaurant and it will also make me step up my efforts at home. 18DEC2011 I arrive at 1347 which is 13 minutes before they open on a beautiful warm Sunday afternoon in Denver. There are people (shall we refer to them as "alcoholics"?) who are also waiting. When the door is unlocked (3 minutes early), 14 people rush in. At 1406, it is standing room only. What makes this place so popular? Could it be the Avery Brewing tasting flight? Rumpkin beer. Could it be the slice of the day: Cheeseburger? Could it be the excellent bartender service? Could it be the perfect bar atmosphere? Well, I won't tell. You need to visit for yourself. 05OCT2011 This time, we ate there. Excellent pizza. Great beer garden. Lots of outdoor seating. It was very busy when I visited on a Friday evening,…read morebut it didn't feel overly crowded. The staff kindly gave multiple reminders before closing. The Japanese rice lager (forgot the name) was amazing. So good, in fact, that they ran out on this particular evening. As posted throughout the bar, they have instituted a mandatory 18% service fee in lieu of tips. For better or worse, be aware of this. It means you don't need to tip. As far as I'm concerned, it didn't have a negative impact on the service from the bartenders.

A great option for young families on a warmer day…read more I stopped by Edgewater Beer Garden with some friends with the intention of enjoying a seemingly warmer Denver winter day, and we had no trouble finding seating on the patio. Maybe we were just brave, but with blankets and the outdoor heaters the space served well for a small get together. The inside, however, was PACKED. Was it something in the air that influenced every young family West of Denver to crave local brews and fried food options? Or is this just the typical crowd for this establishment? Either way, I don't believe myself to be the target market for this location. After a few hours, the children's birthday party and other large family gatherings occupying the warm interiors finally disappeared, and we were able to enjoy all the splendors of their heated former firehouse. The staff who was wandering the facilities to take empty trays and glasses from tables were exceptionally nice, the food options were as plentiful as the variety on tap, and the patio's ambience was exactly what we needed. Ticked all the boxes you'd expect of a suburban beer hall. Overall, not really my scene, as I don't have a golden doodle or a curious toddler, but if that sounds like an apt description for the company you keep, you'll enjoy this spot immensely.

There are moments when human beings believe they are on a quest for higher knowledge. And then…read morethere are moments when they are just heavy objects being pulled toward the earth by gravity, wanting nothing more than a chair, a cooked piece of dough, and a cold glass of beer to dull the edges of the evening. The remarkable thing is that the second quest often yields the greater joy. Five of us, all varying degrees of exhausted from a long day of sightseeing, stumbled into Odell Brewing's Sloan's Lake Brewhouse at the corner of 17th and Perry. We were not looking for a miracle. We were looking for a soft place to land. We ordered our dinner, then ventured up to the rooftop patio, which looks out over the lake. I'm told that when the entire surrounding landscape isn't engulfed in flames that you can clearly see the jagged spine of the Rocky Mountains from up there. It is a very fine place to sit while the planet rotates away from the sun. They have a second bar up there that is just as well stocked as the one on the main floor, and the space was filled with the pleasant, low-grade hum of people who were glad to be alive and not currently looking at a screen. The kitchen turns out scratch-made pizzas, so we ordered a Margherita and a Garden Harvest. You must understand something about the five of us: we come from Central and Northern New Jersey. In our part of the world, opinions about pizza are not casual preferences; they are inherited like family heirlooms or chronic joint pain. To say that a group of Jersey natives found these pizzas to be genuinely good is a small miracle of regional diplomacy. They weren't trying to imitate a New York slice. They were just honest, well-baked pies with fresh ingredients, which is an honorable thing for a pizza to be. Then there was the beer. According to their website, this location houses a 10-barrel pilot system where they brew experimental, small-batch R&D beers you can't get anywhere else. I believe them. The fruited sour we sampled was bright and lively, the sort of beer that makes you wonder why so many other breweries get the style completely wrong. The porter was equally memorable, rich, dark, and smooth, with deep roasted notes that made it far too easy to drink. It was a beautiful piece of liquid craftsmanship. The staff was fast and entirely devoid of the plastic, rehearsed cheer you so often find in corporate franchises. They brought things out before we had time to grow cranky, and they seemed genuinely glad we had wandered into their corner of Denver. We had expected a purely transactional exchange of money for calories before going to sleep. Instead, we got a rooftop at dusk, exceptional beer, and the sudden, sweet realization that the day had ended exactly as it should. People are strange, fragile creatures, but occasionally we stumble into the right table at the right time.
