We were happy to finally get here for some pre-concert beers while watching the Broncos game. While we were disappointed by the lack of dark beers on the menu, we tasted and were happy with most of the other light options. Our flight of six included (in order of my favorite): * Ice Cutter Kolsch * Rogtoberfest * Elefante Mexican Amber * Goats Go to Helles Lager * Dos Elefante Mexican Lager * Adeena Pils My wife actually liked the last one as well, which I didn't care for. After our flight, we each enjoyed a Kolsch and probably could've had another, but we still had another new brewery to try, so we left after the first. Neat neighborhood place. This place is such a fun experience. The location, views, the open patio space make it a great meetup spot! The brews are refreshing with a selection to suit all palettes from IPA to Belgian to German Lager, it's got everyone covered. And, food trucks fill your belly! I enjoy it most especially during the summer for the patios, but it's a cozy spot during the winters, as well. The place does get packed, so be sure to plan accordingly with parking and otherwise. read more

Came here for a friends birthday during the week and got a great spot on the patio. I'm not a huge beer drinker so wasn't expecting to love anything but enjoyed the lagers that I had. First thing to note is the staff who were all very friendly and helpful. Love that you can order from a QR code and they bring your drinks to you. Also love that they allow outside food so there's no pressure to have typical bar food. read more

I have been to quite a few breweries around the Denver area, and I think Joyride may be my favorite! It's in a cute area of Edgewater, right along a "main street" area with different businesses lining a few blocks. There are some parking lots nearby, though you will most likely have to find street parking. The interior is cute and spacious - I love how the first floor is open to the outside with big garage doors and great bar height tables along that area for people watching. I believe there is a rooftop too, though I did not check that area out. They had a great tap list with so many options and a great variety. I loved all of the beers that I tried in the flight my boyfriend and I ordered. You can do flights with either 3 or 6 pours. All were delicious and it is hard to pick a favorite. The sours and fruited beers were great, the raspberry one I tried tasted so fresh and had a strong, real raspberry taste. The Mexican lager was super refreshing for a warm day. I loved the food truck that was parked outside the brewery. They had mostly chicken products, and I really enjoyed the chicken tenders. They were super crispy and came out quickly. You can provide a phone number so that they can text you when your food is ready, perfect for grabbing a drink inside and hanging out while you wait! The bartender was super friendly, and so were those in the food truck. I will definitely be back, and would visit often if I lived nearby! I can't wait to return when back in the area! read more

Originally had high hopes for this spot, but that dwindled quickly after reading some reviews. Nonetheless, still wanted to give it a try since it's in the neighborhood. Went on a pretty dead Wednesday night, so service was just as expected in a slow bar. The ambiance is a bit odd. It's super long and narrow and right when you walk in you are struck by the smell of the vats, but you kind of get used to it after awhile. Tried the Kolsch since it seemed like a fan fav. It was super light, nothing too impressive. I honestly liked the specific glass made for it more than the beer :/ Seems like they have some special nights: trivia, bike club, video game event coming up! Maybe it would be a bit of a better vibe then. Bummed we didn't try the rooftop as that seems like their big draw, but it's already too cold/dark for that in the evenings. read more

So, I've been coming here since they first opened, but much more frequently since I moved over to this side of town. They always have excellent beers on tap. I like how they keep the old favorites while still bringing in new things to enjoy. I've been more than happy with the level of service provided by the friendly staff. Also, I really enjoy the people you meet here (both regulars and newbies). If I had to pick my favorite thing about the place, it's probably how dog friendly it truly is. Indeed, some days when you come in, you pretty much have to run the "dog gauntlet" to get through the bar area to the tables in the back. Last year's addition of the rooftop patio definitely took the seating features to a whole new level. It's a fun space, with excellent views. And although I am somewhat sad that dogs are not allowed on the roof, I understand. And I must say, considering that they've also made it an adults only area, with no children allowed up there, it's a pretty reasonable trade off. read more

Joyride functions as a proper watering hole. Two stories with lots of space to drink with big groups of friends. They're dog friendly, they boast a rooftop looking over Sloan's Lake, but for me, the beers were a let down. We came here for the first time after the Dragon Boat Fest. We knew from the get-go that it was going to be packed. Luckily our group of six found a table downstairs towards the back. Moreso, they had a food truck parked outside. Smart move for the hungry folk! I do have an affinity for bars that offer table service to not clog up the bar. We had a handful of servers throughout our stay, which often times resulted in wrong beers coming to our table and a confused staff. The two beers that I tried were the Bicycle Built For Two and the Edgewater IPA. The first sounded incredibly intriguing, a collaborative session IPA brewed with raspberries. Although the presentation had a red hue to it, the flavors just weren't there. I hate to coin a beer, "watery," but that's literally all I could taste. The Edgewater IPA was significantly better, however comparatively to the many flagships IPAs in Colorado, this one was just A-OK. For me, Joyride is all about the space and positive vibes, which is something I can totally get behind. However for my money, I'd prefer to spend it somewhere where the beer itself shines. read more

This was probably one of my favorite breweries on my most recent trip to Denver. We always travel with our dog, so it was nice to find a dog-friendly beer place. They also have many TVs, so a great spot for watching sports. For people who loves games, they are a wide variety of games to play with friends too. I enjoyed their Brown Ale here a lot, very mellow, yet still flavorful. I also liked the food truck that was just outside the brewery. They had a variety of American food, but I enjoyed the tikka masala. Also, the staff here were very friendly and attentive. They constantly walked around to take beer orders. read more

I have had three beers from Joyride Brewing and I must say they were enjoyable! I had a rice lager which I always love and usually feel like I don't see them enough at breweries. I also had a decent Italian Pilsner but felt like it had a little too much of a hoppy flavor than a dry flavor but again... who am I to complain... this is a type of pilsner I don't see often enough. Probably my favorite beer though was their Helles Lager. It had a great delivery in the flavor profile and everything I except to see with a Helles. So kudos to Joyride for being a little more exploratory with their beers unlike some other breweries out there. read more

I would visit this brewery all the time if I lived in CO! I came here on a party bus for a bachelorette party and really enjoyed Joyride Brewing! Their employees were fantastic and fun, the rooftop was beautiful with amazing views of the lake and city, and the beer was great! I tried a flight of 3 beers consisting of: Seaside Rendezvous, Black Razz Blonde, and Bearpaw Oatmeal Stout. The Black Razz my mine and the group's favorite! It was juicy, fruity, sour and all around what I want for warm weather drinking! I'm so glad that our party bus driver recommended this brewery to us! Really awesome outdoor patio seating with an amazing view. Will definitely spend some time here during the summer. A party of about 12 people and I came to joy ride brewing on a Sunday afternoon. It was slightly busy but we did not have any issues grabbing a very large table. The service was awesome the bar staff did a really great job of educating us about the beverages available. The location environment is unbeatable you are right on the corner of Sloans Lake and on a sunny day you have an awesome breeze, a great view of the lake, and access to a lot of different foods and other bars such as Edgewater public market. We will be sure to come back frequently during the summer to spend more time together read more

It's such a welcoming and laid back atmosphere. The rooftop is a best kept secret for this area in my opinion. Joyride is the life of Edgewater. They are crafting amazing beers and serving them up in a spectacular pub that overlooks the lake. They are big on history, family, and fun. Joyride offers nightly events and plenty of community interaction. I really enjoy their trivia night. I grab some crazy hot Thai from down the street at US Thai and bring it in and play trivia. I would have to say my visit at Joyride was not a joy in the slightest. What attracted me to this place is that they have a large rooftop deck for outdoor seating with misters on hot days and heating lamps for colder temps. The service here is abismal. Waited 15 minutes to finally be asked what beers we wanted. I asked for a menu and the waitress pointed to a ripped up QR code that was once affixed to the table and said we could scan that, or said we could get up and read their menu behind the bar. Since the QR code was literally weather worn, faded, and half missing, I got up from my seat and walked over to the bar to check out the menu. There's really no help with ordering. Same teal haired, tatted up waitress at the bar top. Good luck getting any recommendations or asking any questions about their beers. You could tell this gal either thought she was too-cool-for-school or really hated her job. Either attitude is not acceptable in the service industry in my book. I ordered the Seashells at Your Feet - a blood orange gose. She either gave me the wrong beer or this beer tasted nothing like blood orange. The seating isn't great on the upper patio. They have these barstools overlooking the noisy street with really old worn out pieces of wood to sit on, that were like 12" × 12". I wouldn't be surprised if those wearing shorts would walk away with a splinter from sitting on them. The music was all grungy rock, it was almost like whichever servers were on deck played rock-paper-scissors to pick the music us lucky patrons got to listen to for the day. All-in-all, the beer wasn't great to me, the vibe wasn't great to me either. There are other rooftop bars with classier vibes, better drinks, and better service. read more

Joyride Brewing is legit! After grabbing brunch nearby, my girl (and newest Yelper) Allie E and I made our way to Joyride Brewing! So glad we did!! J = Joyful space! Complete with a variety of board games; making it the perfect chill place to throw back a few cold ones with friends! O = Observant beertenders! We were offered samples to help us make our selections and checked-in on several times during our stay. Y = Yummy food trucks on site! Check their website for the lineup! R = Roll up doors that make the long narrow space feel wide open and cozy! I = Incredibly friendly beertenders! D = Delish brews! We both chose to sip on Defiance (a Belgian dubbel heavy with black currant notes). Super tasty! E = Easy peasy parking across the street in a small lot.
