Joyride is the life of Edgewater. They are crafting amazing beers and serving them up in a spectacular pub that overlooks the lake. They are big on history, family, and fun. Joyride offers nightly events and plenty of community interaction. I really enjoy their trivia night. I grab some crazy hot Thai from down the street at US Thai and bring it in and play trivia. I never win but I have a great time. read more

I would have to say my visit at Joyride was not a joy in the slightest. What attracted me to this place is that they have a large rooftop deck for outdoor seating with misters on hot days and heating lamps for colder temps. The service here is abismal. Waited 15 minutes to finally be asked what beers we wanted. I asked for a menu and the waitress pointed to a ripped up QR code that was once affixed to the table and said we could scan that, or said we could get up and read their menu behind the bar. Since the QR code was literally weather worn, faded, and half missing, I got up from my seat and walked over to the bar to check out the menu. There's really no help with ordering. Same teal haired, tatted up waitress at the bar top. Good luck getting any recommendations or asking any questions about their beers. You could tell this gal either thought she was too-cool-for-school or really hated her job. Either attitude is not acceptable in the service industry in my book. I ordered the Seashells at Your Feet - a blood orange gose. She either gave me the wrong beer or this beer tasted nothing like blood orange. The seating isn't great on the upper patio. They have these barstools overlooking the noisy street with really old worn out pieces of wood to sit on, that were like 12" × 12". I wouldn't be surprised if those wearing shorts would walk away with a splinter from sitting on them. The music was all grungy rock, it was almost like whichever servers were on deck played rock-paper-scissors to pick the music us lucky patrons got to listen to for the day. All-in-all, the beer wasn't great to me, the vibe wasn't great to me either. There are other rooftop bars with classier vibes, better drinks, and better service. read more

Joyride Brewing is legit! After grabbing brunch nearby, my girl (and newest Yelper) Allie E and I made our way to Joyride Brewing! So glad we did!! J = Joyful space! Complete with a variety of board games; making it the perfect chill place to throw back a few cold ones with friends! O = Observant beertenders! We were offered samples to help us make our selections and checked-in on several times during our stay. Y = Yummy food trucks on site! Check their website for the lineup! R = Roll up doors that make the long narrow space feel wide open and cozy! I = Incredibly friendly beertenders! D = Delish brews! We both chose to sip on Defiance (a Belgian dubbel heavy with black currant notes). Super tasty! E = Easy peasy parking across the street in a small lot. Def glad to finally check out this gem by Sloan's Lake. I know I will be back! read more

Awesome beer and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the last time I went was during covid and we had to make a reservation. On the reservation system, it charges you $10 when you confirm (which I support - you don't want people making reservations and not showing) but it says that the $10 will be applied to your bill. That never happened. Separate charges in full for both the bill and the reservation! Thievery "Would you like some beer with your head?" In fairness, I did order the oatmeal stout on nitro, and nitro tends to have a bigger head. Though I thought the head on that one was quite excessive when it took up nearly half the glass (see photo). I do think they have good beer, and I want to come back, but they definitely need to figure things out on their end. They sure have no problem yelling at you if you walk on the wrong side of their taped lines for social distancing or leave your table to pick up takeout/go to the bathroom. I've been numerous times during covid and both times some staff (downstairs) has been pretty rude. The guys upstairs have been very welcoming and accommodating the recent times I have gone read more

The kolsch beer was great! We stopped in after a nice walk around Sloan lake and had a beer in the sun on an Awesome upper deck!

Fantastic beers! They just placed a vaccination mandate and I commend them for it. Thank you JR for keeping us beer drinkers safe. Cheers! read more

Great rooftop with an awesome view. Will be a good spot as it gets cooler too - looked like they had heaters and fire pits! IPA selection isn't much but the hazy is good and they had a smoked helles that tasted like bacon - easy to drink and tasty. They do have a tv downstairs for football! Will be back for the ambiance! read more

They offer flights, you can get 3 or 6. We got 3 each and then I opted in for their delicious oatmeal stout. It was getting a bit chilly so I asked to close big window garage style door and it was nice of them to do so. Overall chill place with overview of the lake. read more

The beer was great. We had to sit outside because we couldn't take our children on the rooftop and the rest of the seating area was reserved for a party. Because we were outside, I think we were forgotten. A server came out and got our first order. She was...surly. It didn't appear she liked her job much. For the other 2 beers, I went in and got them and again she seemed to scowl at me. Not sure what was wrong. read more

Great. Beer. Can tell always tell by how many peeps are there before you even taste anything. Merch game was okay. They should make the red/blue hat in black. Probably one of the better breweries in the area. read more

Joyride is a fun brewery near Sloan's lake. I've been coming to this pet friendly establishment for Tuesday night trivia since last year. Host Dave comes up with the best questions. The staff is great and always very friendly. Their beer ranges from light to dark, with some flavors changing seasonally. You are allowed to bring outside food in, and there is always a food truck available. One of my favorite trucks that parks here is Dos Gringos. After you do a jog around the lake, stop in for a beer. read more

Go here if you want to feel like a local. Seriously, it's worth the Uber/Lyft ride from your stuffy downtown hotel. Had that classic neighborhood brewery vibe: nice people, cute dogs, good sun, and tasty beer. There was a dude in here with a parrot that got into a massive argument with the bartender about the merits of having his animal in the brewery, since there were dogs in the brewery. Turns out that since this place isn't *technically* in Denver, but rather in a 8x8 block "city" named Edgewater, the dog rules of Denver do not apply! Seriously, so many doggos. I was in heaven. Beer was strong and hoppy as well. read more

Joyride is awesome!!! Amazing beers with so many great choices. Huge comfortable spaces, both upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs patio has great views of Sloans Lake. Heaters for winter and newly installed misters for summer. Super friendly staff: Sarah and Kevin rock!!! We had such a great time at Joyride. One of my favorite breweries in Denver now (and I've got a few favs). Wish I had the Cherry IPA right now. Or the New England raspberry session (Bicycle Built For Two). Or the Paloma beer (Oh yeah Brother). Or the Pina Colada sour (Lanaaa!). read more

Ugh, I still can't get over HOW this place has such a high rating!!! With all of the great breweries in Denver, I had high hopes for this one but it was a huge let down. It came highly recommended by a few folks so we gave it a go. This place was packed so we grabbed the first table we saw outside. Quite a few folks have commented on the awful service so I won't go there. Let's just say hubs really wanted a beer so waiting on a server wasn't an option. Hubs ordered the white stout and I got the saison. Both were barely drinkable. Normally we hate to see beer go to waste but this was the exception. The stout left the worst taste in our mouth that we couldn't fathom drinking it beyond 3 sips (1: ugh; 2: it'll get better; 3: nope, it's the worst). The saison wasn't much better but at least we were able to get at least 6 sips outta that one. Again, not sure how this place has such a high rating...must be the lakeside location... read more

Fantastic beer and awesome trivia! Not usually a big kolsch fan, but the Ice Cutter is delicious!

We went here yesterday and had a wonderful experience! The staff is super friendly and they have a wide variety of beer for all different taste buds. On Sundays, they will play the NFL games. A super chill brewery with plenty of tables and they had a food truck outside as well. read more

Great local brewery and super supportive of the community. It's super close to Sloans Lake and a great place to go before or after a walk!

Best trivia in Denver! Love all the bar tenders and the owner. Can't think of a better brewery to go to every week!

For one thing, the logo is phenomenal. The location by Sloans lake is also prime. I've only sat downstairs by the garage door windows - it's for a great inside/outside feel. I've been here a few times and the different beers I've tried have all been good. The most recent one I had was a Berry Styles, and it was sweet but not overly so and very drinkable on a warm day. read more

I had a nice time here on a Saturday morning before some car work. They have an active location on the street, and nice seating to soak in the sun. Their tap list isn't huge but they have all the main beers here. People came in more and more and it got crowded at the end too, great for them on a Saturday. I had the Saison which tasted like a light mimosa. Very refreshing. Next time I hope they have a sour beer! read more

Joyride is a neighborhood treasure. Their beers are delicious, unique, and varied. The staff is fun and friendly, especially Dave and Matt. Dave's weekly trivia is a great group activity, he puts real care and thought into each trivia night. Joyride also hosts other regular weekly events and seasonal special events that bring together the community and promote other businesses. Such an awesome place with Safe Covid precautions. Beautiful rooftop view of Sloan's lake. read more

As the old saying goes, "Don't postpone joy." Words to live by, indeed. And what a sweet hang at Joyride: rocking rooftop with city lake views, a variety of well-crafted beer, and a genuinely friendly staff. Not a bad vibe to be seen. I look forward to returning. read more

Tons of seating, including a fun rooftop patio with a great view of Sloan's Lake and the Denver skyline. If you like IPA's, the Ah, Ale Yeah has a great citrusy fall flavor! The Lava Flow is a great mild sour. The other beers we tried were all pretty good also. Finally, it has one of the best logos of any brewery of all time! read more

The roof top is open peeps!!! Been coming here for a bit, the roof too was a brilliant idea. The views of Sloan's lake are amazing. Wish the beer selection was a little more broad, could have just caught them in the middle of a low. I really like the different choices in good truck that frequent there, there is always US Thai a few doors down. They are pretty good too. One cool thing about JR is that they are dog friendly, if they place nice with others and only on the first level. So grab your pup and enjoy some brews at joy ride read more

we love this place it's one of the best on the Edgewater block and we love ANNA! Great roof top

Such a fun brewery and always a good time! I've been a handful of times (usually after hiking) and figured it's about time to write a review. I will preface and say that I don't love beer - so this is more purely about the Sours and Seltzer and ambiance. Drinks: Sour and Seltzer both are good. The Seltzer is much more of a heavy seltzer, more like a beer, than it is a true seltzer. Makes sense given it's at a brewery :) Really good regardless. And the sour is always one of my favorites. Ambiance: It's usually pretty crowded and always a great and chill vibe. Things are less crowded now due to the pandemic, but they sure do make you feel safe and protected. The windows were open and we got to sit by them which was nice for an extra breeze. (I somehow usually end up in the same spot). Dogs are usually allowed which is also always a plus in my book. The TVs are also nice for sports - or in the sake of this past weekend watching cute and happy animals. An extra way to make my day! read more

Added our name to the list and expected an hour wait. Headed to the market for dinner and just as we finished our meal we received our text to let us know that our table was ready. We headed back and were seated promptly and ordered the new nitro pumpkin beer. We chatted for a few and enjoyed the beer. I appreciated how careful the staff was with maintaining a clean, safe environment, in addition to the attentive service and plentiful open air seating. read more

Absolutely love this place and have since the beginning. Joyride is our absolute favorite local brewery. Great friendly staff and great beers. The Joyride Double IPA is fantastic as always. Currently a proof-of-vax location, and they have even more love and support from me because of it. They care about their staff and their clientele, and because of it, we remain loyal to them. Love you guys!! Glenn read more

Sucks they don't allow dogs inside anymore, that was a major reason I went. This is a huge bummer as I seek out dog friendly inside places. Service is not terrible but not great either, I feel like I am always bugging the beertenders when ordering. I wouldn't say I have high standards, I am comparing this to other breweries serving. Beer ranges from meh to pretty good depending on what's currently in rotation. read more

Awesome place! Fun Trivia on Tuesday nights. Plus it's close to US Thai for takeout :). Appreciate that they check vaccination records!

I absolutely love this brewery! It really feels like the TV show "Cheers" when you walk in where everyone knows everyone. All the people here are very friendly and if you go often enough you will absolutely start to become buds with some of the locals here! It's got a great atmosphere, large, long, community high top tables, garage-style windows/clear walls that give you a great view of Sloan's lake. The beers are always on point and great for each season. They always have a good truck out front and usually special events multiple times a month. They also have an outdoor area in the back that is fun during warmer months. Football Sundays are alway a great time here because they have a ton of TVs and will put on the specific football team you want to see. It's like a TV commercial where fans wearing there different respective football team's gear cluster together in different sections - it makes watching sports a whole lot more fun with great people around. This brewery also loves dogs- pretty much everyone brings their dog here. Great brewery! read more

Finally decided to check out Joyride after hearing about it months ago. It's a big open space with great vibes. They have several "charity beers" where proceeds go to certain causes- right now Puerto Rico relief and breast cancer. They have several beers on tap, crowlers, growlers, and swag. Beer was great, service was friendly, and food trucks that come by as well. I'll be back! read more

I especially love the Bear Paw Oatmeal Stout at Joyride. They have a Great bar and they raise the garage doors on nice days and Voila' there is a bar that faces the street. This bar overcharged my card by more then $50 on a $24 tab. The service was horrible and he decided to buy him self and the rest of the staff a round on my card. I had to go back down there and demand a refund which they immediately did because he and his manager knew they did me wrong.
