Back to Corsica and had a lovely experience once again! Tried our luck on a Saturday evening with no reservation and were able to get a seat at the bar immediately. The bartenders and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and made sitting at the bar a great experience! We decided on a few small plates; cannellini beans, focaccia, carrots, and lemon bucatini. The cannellini beans and bucatini were stand out dishes for sure. I love the experience of ordering small plates so this place is perfect for that although there are larger plates you can order (they do warn you that these take longer to prepare). For drinks I tried both the citron sunrise (frozen citron pressé, chamomile, cappelitti, sparkling wine) and the corsica martini. The citron sunrise was very refreshing although a bit too sweet for my taste. The martini comes with multiple garnishes and most of the drink in a smaller vessel on the side so that you can mix and match and create new martini flavors as you drink which I thought was such a great experience! Tapas forever!! We had the mushroom arancini, apericena platter, and corsican caesar. Absolutely no notes. The charcuterie had fantastic picks, my favorite being the cannellini beans and vinegar potato chips. The arancini had a delicious creamy sauce that paired well with the mushroom flavor. I loved this place so much. Stopped by for happy hour on a Friday and it was such a vibe. Great music, staff were so wonderful, happy hour drinks were abundant. Good food options for happy hour but honestly even the food options not on happy hour were really affordable. Cannot say enough good things about the focaccia. I could have eaten ten servings of that bread and butter. Saw a lot of people getting the sangria bowls and honestly that looked like an amazing time. Easily one of my favorite places in Denver. You need to go with a big group so you can try everything. Here's some of the best things we got: Lemon bucatini is a must. The pasta was el Dante and it was the perfect mix of lemon. Mushroom aranchini was delicious. I was doubtful but it was easily one of the best. Corsican frites could be over looked but they were a crowd pleaser. I could've done without the rigatoni, nothing special about it. I also could've done without the mussels, they were a little fishy but my friends loved them. The service was amazing. My friend and I found Corsica because we had been waiting at a nearby tapas restaurant and realized that it was going to take forever. So thanks to a Yelp search, we ended up at Corsica. It was pretty busy on a Friday night, but we were told that a few customers did not show for their reservation so we lucked out. The hostess was friendly and gave us the option of a booth or the bar. We chose the bar. Corsica has almost what I would call a modernized vintage decor, with high ceilings, brick walls, and interesting light fixtures. It was kind of a stylish warehouse. Upon being seated, we were greeted right away by the bartender who took our drink orders. I chose the Wolfpack, a salty and sweet bourbon cocktail, and my friend chose the Tiki Baby, a tequila cocktail with fruit flavors. Both were delicious and meticulously made. We ordered about four tapas to start with. They honestly came out almost too quickly, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they came out even before out cocktails were prepared. They did get one of our items wrong, but corrected it by allowing us to keep it at no charge. The food was great, but I liked some items more than others. The stuffed dates were probably my favorite. I was slightly disappointed in the caulini, as it is wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. Despite the food coming out quickly, we didn't feel rushed at all. We sat for a long time, and ordered more drinks, and a couple more tapas. I felt very European, as we ended out meal with wine and cheese. My group of four went to enjoy a bottle of wine for my birthday after brunch. Our server brought me a slice of their almond cake for my birthday. It was devine. Super moist, with distinct notes of citrus and rosemary. The crème fraiche frosting was the perfect hint of sweetness. We were so relaxed in the setting and treated well by our server that one bottle extended into two, and we ended up ordering some small plates. The vinegar potato chips were a definite favorite for the table with the garlic aioli. The meatballs came with plenty of sauce and were served with five in each serving. With its outstanding hospitality, Corsica is a place I will visit again, hopefully in the near future. read more

Fantastic find! In finding a place for some wine, we ended up finding this gem of a place that has so much more. You know you're at Corsica when you see the multicolored building with fun painted designs on the outside. Sundays - half off of all bottles of wine. The wine menu is pretty dense as well, so ask for suggestions. The servers are very helpful and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to vino. We went with a french white and it was excellent. Corsica also has an Italian style menu. They have just added a couple of large item plates but the majority of the menu are small plates, tapas style. It was amazing and I can't wait to go back and try a couple more! Highlights of the small plates were the vinegar potato chips with the garlic aioli and the mushroom arancini. Also ordered was the meatballs and the fried ravioli. All very good and can be split easily among a party of 4. There were plenty of gluten-free options, which I really appreciated, and everything we tried was delicious. The seating also felt much more intimate and comfortable--I could actually hear my friend from across the table lol. It was busy and lively without feeling overwhelming or impossible to get into. The service was probably one of the best parts of the experience. Our waitress was awesome--whoever was serving us on Saturday, 8/15, in the back room. We also got two complimentary dishes from another server/food runner who was the freaking sweetest. I've been to Barcelona several times, and while I still like it, I personally enjoyed Corsica so much more. We grabbed a seat on the patio and were the first to do so for the day (admittedly we wanted to sit at the bar but it was full) so they were super attentive at giving us an umbrella and taking our order. The drinks are SO cheap we ended up grabbing both of the carafe options at $10 each. The food options were fine, we didn't love the lamb dolmas we got but I think we just may not be dolma fans and these were probably solid options for this. Service could not have been more personable, attentive, and friendly. Parking in the area is super easy. I think some items are a little over priced for the portion you get, especially the protein options. We went on Friday for a date night and didn't move the place. I will say the mushroom arancini was our favorite of the night. Our server was very night but we left feeling forgotten about and not able to have any conversation due to the loud atmosphere We were sat right away in the middle section, my husband watched the kitchen during his meal and I was stuck between listening to the neighbors tables date and the weird foursome next to us. We could barely hear our server. The music was so loud it caused everyone to talk loud and we could barely talk to eachother. The whipped ricotta toast sounded great on paper but the bread was SO INCREDIBLY HARD it was almost impossible to eat. I feel like I need a trip to the dentist after that for a chipped tooth or something. The first few dishes came out pretty quick. The barbujan needed a meet or something. It was straight cheese. The mussels were good, wish there were more. The bolognese felt like the noodles needed to be cooked more. We're absolutely obsessed with this place! Tapas are our favorite, and Corsica did not disappoint. We ordered a mix of dishes and loved them all. The Apericena (charcuterie board) to start is a must - everything was delicious, though I would have preferred a liver mousse in place of the mayonnaise-style dip it came with. The only "miss" for us was the Broccolini. It was quite bitter, so we didn't finish it, though I could see it pairing nicely with a richer dish. It probably would've worked better served alongside the Beef Bavette or meatballs, but since our table was smaller, the dishes were coursed out rather than brought all at once. We sat on the outdoor patio, which had the perfect Thursday-night energy - lively, full, and warm. The atmosphere inside looked just as inviting. Came Sunday at 6pm, there were plenty of open seats and we got seated at a comfortable two person table in the back Ordered NA cocktails, the 'Chenile' (rate this 5/5) was very nice but the 'Raspberry Beret' was not for us - frankly it tasted like sweet BBQ sauce (1/5) Bread service 3/5 - nothing special, I liked the butter and it went well w the mussels broth Whipped ricotta toast 5/5 - one of their signature dishes, a must get Tuna carpaccio 3/5 - tuna was fine quality but dish tastes too much like olive oil and not enough citrus Beets and apples 4/5 - very refreshing and light Mussels 4/5 - mussels and broth had good flavor Crème brûlée 1/5 - consistency was so off , it was kind of chunky and not smooth. Didn't finish. All the dishes came in a quick succession, but afterward receiving all the mains we were kind of forgotten about. From eating the last entree to paying and leaving took almost an hour. Ordered a rigatoni but it never came, not a big deal, told the server. He was friendly, and I would never blame service for a restaurant being busy, but wasting so much time at the end wasn't great. They still charged us for the dish though so had to wait even longer to pay. They kindly comped the crème brûlée (and we never said anything about the taste). Disappointed in this restaurant. I have been wanting to go for a long time and finally went today for brunch. It was disappointing. Nothing was amazing. It felt like everything they served us was cooked the day before and heated up. The steak and the chips were the only thing that was half way decent. The other items we ordered just had no flavor and tasted old. I ordered a glass of wine that the bottle had gone bad. They were out of a lot of the items. We had a very nice meal at Corsica. Our server Matthew made the experience something very special. A special shout out to Matthew who we will see when he opens a new restaurant in Northern Virginia. They probably have the wine for you to find what you're looking for. We did enjoy a mocktail, the Chenille which was delicious and refreshing. It's basically a tapas restaurant and we enjoyed a really wonderful meal. We communicated the kinds of foods that we enjoy to Matt and he was truly helpful in suggesting what we ultimately ordered. Our favorites were the Cauliflower, Tuna Carpaccio, Mushroom (really excellent) and Farro. We ended our meal with the Almond Cake which was really delicious. The ambience is relaxed, friendly and the sound level is conducive to comfortable conversation. The prices are reasonable, certainly for the quality of the food and ambience. I loved almost everything we ordered and felt like the menu is a good mix of meat options and vegetarian options. They were happy to support the one vegan in our group by tweaking recipes on a few items. The restaurant was loud and busy, with low lighting giving a romantic atmosphere. Not ideal for my elderly parents who can't read menus in dark settings and can't hear in loud environments. Still, they enjoyed the food and adapted as best as they could. This restaurant had the most amazing vibe, the wall I believe are all original brick and the decor compliments every aspect of this building. Perfect for a date night, or smaller group gathering as it does get fairly loud. Mackenzie was our waitress, and she was amazing. Very attentive and even wrote on a menu since we had some allergies and dietary restrictions. We got four plates to share among two people and the portions were perfect. They also came out in a timely manner. They have a great wine list and a few cocktails to choose from. My favorite item was the chili shrimp. I could eat two of those alone. The cacio e pepe was also on the top of my list! The tuna would have been up there, but it was super spicy for me. I highly recommend coming here for your next outing. I would say attire wise, you can't go wrong casual cute and even fairly dressy. I have already recommended Corsica to a few friends and plan on returning. It was a love hate relationship with this place. The food was amazing, loved the ricotta toast, the brussels with smoked trout also really stood out. The aricini was delish, as was the bolognese and pork belly. The small plates are perfect to share and with a group of 6, we spent around $30 for food each. It was the wait time, our reservation was at 730, we were asked to wait at the bar and didn't get seated until 830. The manager did come over and apologize, comped part of our food. I understand not pushing people out but when you watch a group pay, and sit there for 25 minutes longer drinking water, there's got to a polite way to clear the table and make it apparent there are reservations waiting to get seated. Tons of people were waiting at the bar and from previous reviews it seems like this isn't uncommon. Most of our food came out very quickly but our bottles of wine took over 20 minutes as did refills for water. Service could definitely improve but I did enjoy the food, shame that a reservation didn't guarantee a table in an appropriate amount of time. read more

For dessert I ordered the tiramisu and was excited because the menu said it was just marscapone and lady fingers dipped in coffee. No where on the menu did it say there was alcohol in the tiramisu . The manager proceeded to tell me all the desserts have alcohol in them. But it's not listed on the menu. I get it's a wine bar/ restaurant but should definitely still be listed on there for those who are sober/pregnant/ or just abstaining. Enjoyed an amazing birthday dinner at Corsica this past weekend. The service was impeccable, we always had what we needed and were even given an extra dish when they ran out of things we ordered. Additionally, we were brought a birthday desert! The restaurant was somewhat busy on a Sunday night, we were seated in the back due to our large party which worked out as it was quieter so we could talk. Cat, our server, was super helpful and kind. The food was good, we tried a majority of the dishes and enjoyed most of them. Keep in mind that plates are very small so you'll have to order a good amount to leave satisfied. We enjoyed most plates, but the pork was a bit dry and fish was lacking in flavor. Our favorites were the Gemelli Cacio e Pepe, Calamari Salad, Tuna Carpaccio, and Shrimp. While Barcelona is all about Spanish tapas (small plates), Corsica serves up Italian cuisine, tapas-style. My favorite element of this experience was the friendly service! We sat at the bar, and Megan graciously walked us through the impressive wine selection. We loved that there was a variety of natural, biodynamic, and organic wines available. We had a super tasty Lambrusco by the bottle, as well as a few glasses of orange wine, and other selections. My husband also tried some apertivos, which he enjoyed. My favorite bite was, surprisingly, the cornbread, which was unique in that it was presented as encased in a collard leaf. The chicken liver mousse was tasty.
