    Vodka O's --YUCK
    J Warren R.

I had been hearing a lot about this new restaurant in the hotel on Colfax. What I now realize is that most of the publicity is self-promotion. With all the hype, everything failed to meet expectations. I went for a Chef's 5 course tasting menu -- completely underwhelming. The first course was Charred Cabbage, which became the all-out favorite. It was very good. The cabbage was fire roasted, tender and delicious, if not a bit cool. The Pan Seared Trout, with coconut coulis and pisto was very tasty, but served at room temperature. Vodka O's, a pasta dish came next. Terrible, I thought I was eating Chef Boy-r-Dee, right from the can. Overcooked rubbery tasteless pasta. The braised short rib came next -- Huh? This is summer, why would a chef showcase a winter savory, and such a filling dish in Summer. Aren't there any Colorado spring or summer items available. Main course also served at room temperature. Lastly, the Buttermilk Galaktoboureko was soggy phyllo dough with a cream filling. Soggy, Tasteless, boring and not good. Service was also a disappointment, as well, rushed. Servers impressed me as uncaring and unhelpful. Inside the restaurant has a nice vibe and pleasant decor. The booth seating is a bit uncomfortable and cramped. The wine list had a number of unknown and lesser-known wines, so it is hard to comment on the list. There is ample parking at the hotel, which is good, given the continued construction along Colfax. I would not go back here.

Every now and then I have a meal so good I have no notes. This is not that place... because while it's easily an 11 out of 10, I actually do have notes. How dare they prepare food this good? Who gave them permission to have service this attentive? And why is the cocktail program this strong? FiNO, located inside The All Inn Hotel, is inspired by Mediterranean coastal dining with shared plates, natural wines, and a thoughtful cocktail program. The whole experience feels intentional without being overdone. From the moment we walked in, everything just worked. The space is beautiful, the service was excellent (shout out to Lindy), and the pacing of the meal felt relaxed in the best way. Food wise, we tried quite a bit and everything landed. The charred cabbage was so good we ordered it twice. The striped bass was perfectly cooked, the endive Caesar was light but still satisfying, and the tomato toast on GetRight's sourdough was a standout. Dessert sealed it. The chocolate mousse cake was one of the best slices of chocolate cake I've had. The only real downside was having to leave. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Colfax area.

Located inside the newly-renovated All Inn Hotel, FiNO is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and wine garden built around the relaxed ritual of aperitivo. The menu leans into fun summer cocktails and shareable coastal dishes -- with cool, retro decor all around and the friendliest staff. It's a welcome addition to East Colfax's ongoing revival, with an emphasis on connection over rushed dining. Open daily | 5-11pm What I loved: - Grilled artichokes (simple, but delicious) - Hamachi crudo, Italian style in a tomato brodo with olive oil - Spiced hummus with a side of beautiful veggies - Tomato/cucumber salad with whipped feta that is a surprise star of the night - Sweet potato that is also another crowd favorite - Perfectly cooked striped bass (juicy inside, but super crispy skin) - A riff on SpaghettiOs with meatballs in a vodka sauce

Went to this new restaurant because a friend recommended it. The restaurant is a little hard to miss if you aren't looking out for it, it's in the hotel with minimum signage. The inside decor was nice and the service was good. I came with a couple of friends so we were able to get quite a few dishes to share. The dishes the stood out the most were the pasta dishes. Overall I good experience but I didn't feel like anything was outstandingly good. The dishes were smaller than I thought for the price.

FiNo was delicious. This is the perfect space to go with a bunch of friends and share a a bunch of dishes. The menu was large and had options that were completely different from each other. I honestly didn't have anything I didn't like. I loved the Crudo and the aged meat. The ambience is lovely as well, kind of like a mid-century modern vibe. Our server was also really knowledgeable and had a lot of great recommendations.

I've been hearing about this hot new restaurant inside the revamped motel and was excited to check it out. Luckily, they had plenty of tables available as we came on a Thursday evening at 6:30 with no reservation as a party of four and were set instantly. The ambience is a swanky, retro vibe, with subdued colors and lighting. Outside, however it looks very rundown and the area isn't great, we honestly had no idea if we were in the right place or not until we went inside. Our server Alyssa was sweet and gave the best recommendations she could. Since we ordered a number of plates for the table to share, she also tried to put them in cascading so that they would come out a few at a time. Unfortunately, there was just such a lag between the first couple of plates and the next few that we were getting hangry waiting in between. To be honest, the food was good, but not great, we started with the tomato bread at her recommendation, and it was OK, the bread was a little too toasted, but the tomato spread had flavor, even though it wasn't the traditional 'cut a perfectly ripe tomato in half and scrape it on the bread' authenticity that you would get in spain. I was also kind of disappointed by the Hamachi Crudo, there was a real lack of flavor happening there. The standout dishes were the pastas and the tartare toast, the spaghetti al limone had such a nice blend of flavors and was really complemented well by the breadcrumbs. The toast had a wonderful crash of textures and flavors, and the quality of the tartare was great. The vodka owes pasta was also interesting, the creamy tomato sauce, bringing life to what otherwise would really just be SpaghettiOs, and the meatballs were tiny, cute and perfect. We also had the stuffed chicken wings, the nachos, and the sweet potato. Of the three, I would only order the sweet potato again. The chicken wings, if you can call them that as they're more like chicken nuggets, had a crusty coating that almost tasted like crushed up chips, and we're drenched in buffalo sauce - really not special and not worth $17 for three wings. We appreciated our time here, I'd probably be willing to come back and we order some of the dishes I liked and try a few more that I didn't get to this time, but I wouldn't prioritize this place unless I'm already in the area.

Barcelona has been on our list for a while…read more We had a fantastic meal. The whole fish was outstanding and worth the visit on its own. We also shared the bacon-wrapped dates, patatas bravas, crispy cod, jamón & manchego croquetas, and albóndigas, paired with Tempranillo and rosé. Every plate that hit the table was packed with flavor. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different story. After our initial order was taken, our server disappeared for a long stretch. We had planned to order additional dishes, but she never came back to check on us. By the time we finally got the rest of our order in, the timing of the meal was completely off. Three of our six tapas arrived after we finished the whole fish--no joke. We were told to order the fish first and the tapas afterward because the fish takes 30-45 minutes to prepare. What we learned is that Barcelona doesn't operate like many other tapas restaurants where you can order as you go. If you want your tapas before the larger items, make sure you get those ordered before your server walks away. It wasn't just us - it was the tables around us as well. I noticed service mentioned in other reviews, and based on our experience, it's something worth knowing before you go. Barcelona has an incredible kitchen, a great wine list, and a fun atmosphere. If they could consistently match the quality of the food with the quality of the service, this would be one of our favorite restaurants in Denver. We'll likely be back for the food, but hopefully next time the front-of-house experience catches up to what's coming out of the kitchen.

We loved the ambiance, feeling like we'd really discovered a gem off the beaten track, pun intended. By joining the club, it was a monthly excuse to plan a special night out to what became one of our favorite places for date night. It's been a couple of years now, but we had occassion to meet the owners, when we mistook their closing time for an hour later. The lights were still on, so we didn't realize our mistake, until they'd already invited us in to exchange our monthly growler with such warmth. Super nice people, reflecting the vibe we always felt on our other visits. The staff echoes that disposition, always friendly and knowledgeable. Though the winery isn't on-site, I've always been impressed with their tasting experience. I've now been a member for over 5 years, going in at least once a month, and they still suggest trying seasonal options and have broadened my palette... Though my ex and I have parted ways for a long while now and he moved away, he's kept our membership current, calling it my "alimony," and a nod to remembering the good times we had together. I recommend Bigsby's for all the good memories for all the folks, be it a lazy summer afternoon on the patio or a cozy evening in the lounge area with a glass of red when it's cold outside!

Four stars because service started off rocky. I came in right behind a table of four and while…read morethey were sat immediately, the staff member walked off and I stood there for at least another five minutes without being acknowledged. Then when he did acknowledge me and I stated I would sit at the bar, it took several minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. The staff was busy speaking to each other and doing side work. Once I was acknowledged, things started getting a little better. When I arrived during breakfast/brunch, I was informed they were in the middle of a menu change, so my choices were limited. Breakfast items include bacon and burritos. I started off with a charcuterie board (though I had asked for a fromage board). This was not only because I wanted some tasty cheese, but I was trying to kill time until the lunch/dinner menu started. The board was a great board, two different meats, three cheeses, a loaf of bread, some nuts and jellies. But it was 40 dollars! I had a few small plates (which was still a lot of food). I had a melon and cucumber salad, which was a good palate cleanser. I also had the roasted king mushrooms, which were underwhelming with no seasoning, and they were a little chewy. The best thing was the wild boar meatballs, which were seasoned really well and in a savory, delicious marinara sauce. All the cocktails were fruity (but not sweet) and refreshing. I had one that was carrot based (Kiss my Carrot with tequila, cointreau, carrot, orange, and ginger), one that had pineapple flavor (paper boat with rum, falernum, aperol, lemon, pineapple), and the smoky smoke and flower (hibiscus mezcal, cointreau, pama, rose water). This spot is a winery, so they have a large wine list. They have handhelds like burgers and flatbreads. Starters like artichoke dip and bruschetta. Some of the current entrees, which might change, are hanger steak, chilean salmon, cauliflower steak. They had a gnocchi dish I was interested in, but it's already been removed from the menu. The restaurant is classy and just like a winery is expected to be. The food is pretty good. But the service was really subpar.
