The 4 stars is solely because the staff was Very nice and clearly apologetic, and is not indicative of our actual experience, which was 2 stars. To start, the inside is veryyyy cute. However, it's EXTREMELY loud, so if you, like we, are with someone who is older/hard of hearing/wears hearing aids, the inside is simply not accessible. I cannot fathom why, in a place that is clearly intended to be intimate/romantic, it needs to be so loud. Unfortunately, that meant our party of 3 had to sit outside, and for all the effort they put into the interior, they put Zero into the outdoor seating, which was plastic tables on a concrete patio next to a dirt construction pit. I think everyone sitting outside was there only because it was too loud inside because it's not an area you'd choose to sit. We sat for 50 minutes before we saw our cocktails. The waitress or manager clearly notice because she brought out complimentary limoncello. Just as well because the cocktails were not good. The paloma, which we were told had a concentrated grapefruit flavor, barely tasted like anything at all. Our other drink of gin, campari, and cava was cloyingly sweet (though the presentation was nice). I will say, their glassware game is 100%. The drinks... eh. Very strange how this place is a sister to Run for the Roses. We ordered the special (a pesto pasta) and 40 minutes later, were told it was sold out (we were seated at 7:30 and the place wasn't even half full). OK, fine, so we ordered the Vodka O's and lemon pasta instead. Both were fine. Good but nothing to write home about. The Greek salad was tasty but it was a strangely tiny portion of veggies and a HEAPING serving of whipped feta. I mean, I'm never going to kick whipped feta out of bed but the dish made no sense. We asked for bread for the feta and they gave us 2 pieces when we were 3 people. This kind of service mishap is just annoying - it's not a menu item and we know you will charge so please bring out enough bread for the table. We had ordered the cabbage and when the special was out and we replaced it with another pasta, I told the waiter to 86 the cabbage, and it clearly looked like he never put the order in. Please write orders down - no one will judge. For that, he brought out a free dessert and gave us some leftovers of the pesto pasta dish to go. Strange but... fine. It was enough to be a portion so I'm not sure from where it magically appeared. Also, the parking is $10. Just park on the street somewhere because the pricing is nowhere. Unsure if we'll go back. Food is decent but for the price, I expect way better service, cocktails, and cadence of food running. For all the mistakes, they were super nice, at least. read more

The Fino Martini was amazing. 3. The Service was good, we were sat right away and our server was nice. Not really Cons but Middle Ground: 1. The food portions per cost was pretty wild, We thought the large for the Spagetti Os was a small and then when we got the small size for the Spaghetti , it was the size of a peanut bowl or dipping sauce bowl, around like 3-4 oz and 3 bites.The flavor was amazing but that was a shock. 2. The Greek Salad was not a salad but a feta dip. In the salad we had a total of 2 lettuce leaves, 3 tomato slices (like a quarter cut) and 4 small cucumber slivers, We ended up using the tomatoes to scoop the feta. The feta was good but this needs to be marketed as a dip. Overall we did like it, you can tell they try and have quality food, The pasta is fresh which is awesome. I wouldn't come here for dinner but more so if you want cocktails that have some snack options. The menu just isn't a dinner menu. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for a while, to have some fun, nice options on Coalfax. The service was friendly, the drinks were good, but the vibe and food was kinda miss for me. It really looks like a hotel restaurant, which is not a vibe I like. The decor doesn't match the food. They are serving small plates and snacks, but they have huge booths everywhere and then some bar seating. This just didn't work. They should have some tables and high tops to match the atmosphere. The food was also a bit of a miss. We had the humus which was really good, although the veggies it was served with were kinda meh, and also lettuce leaves. Do a real crudités and pitta. The crab toast was not great, the crab was watery, there was not lump crab meat, it looked very stringy, and coming from the west coast I know what good crab is. The tartar toast was good, but again, I prefer a traditional presentation instead of toast. The patio was nice, and they had live music, on a warm summer evening I think it's a great spot for a drink. Although, again the furniture is a mix bag, some seats are incredibly uncomfortable. read more

Every now and then I have a meal so good I have no notes. This is not that place... because while it's easily an 11 out of 10, I actually do have notes. How dare they prepare food this good? Who gave them permission to have service this attentive? And why is the cocktail program this strong? FiNO, located inside The All Inn Hotel, is inspired by Mediterranean coastal dining with shared plates, natural wines, and a thoughtful cocktail program. The whole experience feels intentional without being overdone. From the moment we walked in, everything just worked. The space is beautiful, the service was excellent (shout out to Lindy), and the pacing of the meal felt relaxed in the best way. Food wise, we tried quite a bit and everything landed. The charred cabbage was so good we ordered it twice. The striped bass was perfectly cooked, the endive Caesar was light but still satisfying, and the tomato toast on GetRight's sourdough was a standout. Dessert sealed it. The chocolate mousse cake was one of the best slices of chocolate cake I've had. The only real downside was having to leave. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the Colfax area. read more

Went for a girls night in early June and the food was the smallest portions I have ever seen. While the service was friendly, the ambience screamed "hotel restaurant" which is really a shame for Denver natives. Drinks were delicious. But two pieces of pan con tomate for $15 or an $18 salad that cannot be split - even with inflation and minimal wage- is inexcusable. We got the salad and I laughed. However the food was really not Mediterranean - other than one dish that had a few olives, a couple of tomatoes and a ridiculous amount of whipped feta. The food was not good and was very expensive for what it was. Also, they literally played the same annoying song over and over for 45 minutes. The lighting was so dim that the place looked depressing and it was very loud. The awkward table seating positioned us on a corner so I was facing the couple seated closely next to us instead of my husband. We came away wanting a dinner redo. It was not worth $150 with tip for two people. We had 4 small plates, 1 dessert and 1 drink each for that price. We will not be going back. read more

Fino is a newer spot tucked inside the All In Hotel, and the space itself is honestly stunning. The ambiance leans into a gorgeous retro vibe! We started with the olives and the steak tartare which was hands down the best dish we ordered. It was so flavorful and the texture of the toast and topping worked perfectly together. We also tried the hamachi crudo with dehydrated olives and chorizo. It was good in concept, but the fish itself didn't have the level of flavor I was hoping for, so it didn't quite land. The vodka o's were solid and enjoyable, and the blue cheese stuffed wings were interesting but not particularly memorable. For drinks, I had the rhubarb sour with rhubarb shrub, ouzo, and Basque cider. Like much of their cocktail list, it was creative and unique, but leaned a bit too sweet for my personal taste. I followed it up with a French 75, which was perfectly balanced and definitely the better pick for me. Service was incredible across the board and really elevated the overall experience. That being said, the food as a whole didn't fully impress, especially compared to how strong the ambiance and service were. That being said, since it's a newer opening, there's definitely potential here, especially if the kitchen finds a bit more consistency to match the vibe they've created! read more

Went to this new restaurant because a friend recommended it. The restaurant is a little hard to miss if you aren't looking out for it, it's in the hotel with minimum signage. The inside decor was nice and the service was good. I came with a couple of friends so we were able to get quite a few dishes to share. The dishes the stood out the most were the pasta dishes. I had been hearing a lot about this new restaurant in the hotel on Colfax. What I now realize is that most of the publicity is self-promotion. With all the hype, everything failed to meet expectations. I went for a Chef's 5 course tasting menu -- completely underwhelming. The first course was Charred Cabbage, which became the all-out favorite. It was very good. The cabbage was fire roasted, tender and delicious, if not a bit cool. The Pan Seared Trout, with coconut coulis and pisto was very tasty, but served at room temperature. Vodka O's, a pasta dish came next. Terrible, I thought I was eating Chef Boy-r-Dee, right from the can. Overcooked rubbery tasteless pasta. The braised short rib came next -- Huh? This is summer, why would a chef showcase a winter savory, and such a filling dish in Summer. Aren't there any Colorado spring or summer items available. Main course also served at room temperature. Lastly, the Buttermilk Galaktoboureko was soggy phyllo dough with a cream filling. Soggy, Tasteless, boring and not good. Service was also a disappointment, as well, rushed. Servers impressed me as uncaring and unhelpful. Inside the restaurant has a nice vibe and pleasant decor. The booth seating is a bit uncomfortable and cramped. The wine list had a number of unknown and lesser-known wines, so it is hard to comment on the list. There is ample parking at the hotel, which is good, given the continued construction along Colfax. I've been hearing about this hot new restaurant inside the revamped motel and was excited to check it out. Luckily, they had plenty of tables available as we came on a Thursday evening at 6:30 with no reservation as a party of four and were set instantly. The ambience is a swanky, retro vibe, with subdued colors and lighting. Outside, however it looks very rundown and the area isn't great, we honestly had no idea if we were in the right place or not until we went inside. Our server Alyssa was sweet and gave the best recommendations she could. Since we ordered a number of plates for the table to share, she also tried to put them in cascading so that they would come out a few at a time. Unfortunately, there was just such a lag between the first couple of plates and the next few that we were getting hangry waiting in between. To be honest, the food was good, but not great, we started with the tomato bread at her recommendation, and it was OK, the bread was a little too toasted, but the tomato spread had flavor, even though it wasn't the traditional 'cut a perfectly ripe tomato in half and scrape it on the bread' authenticity that you would get in spain. I was also kind of disappointed by the Hamachi Crudo, there was a real lack of flavor happening there. The standout dishes were the pastas and the tartare toast, the spaghetti al limone had such a nice blend of flavors and was really complemented well by the breadcrumbs. The toast had a wonderful crash of textures and flavors, and the quality of the tartare was great. The vodka owes pasta was also interesting, the creamy tomato sauce, bringing life to what otherwise would really just be SpaghettiOs, and the meatballs were tiny, cute and perfect. We also had the stuffed chicken wings, the nachos, and the sweet potato. Of the three, I would only order the sweet potato again. The chicken wings, if you can call them that as they're more like chicken nuggets, had a crusty coating that almost tasted like crushed up chips, and we're drenched in buffalo sauce - really not special and not worth $17 for three wings. We appreciated our time here, I'd probably be willing to come back and we order some of the dishes I liked and try a few more that I didn't get to this time, but I wouldn't prioritize this place unless I'm already in the area. read more

The parking lot was almost completely empty, and we parked there, but it was unclear if we were able to because there were signs that said hotel guests only. We tried the crab toast, beef tartar toast, sweet potatoes, vodka o's and the steak. So tricky to pick our favorite. Mine was the crab toast and my partners was the beef tartar toast. Breads were soooo tasty and it's toast, so it's gonna be crunchy We both LOVED the vodka o's. I make vodka sauce at home and was truly impressed. The food was good but nothing particularly remarkable. The cocktails were also good, though mostly their take on classic craft cocktails. They are more of a wine bar, so I understand cocktails aren't necessarily their main focus. Overall, I'd say this is a nice spot for a larger group that wants a fun atmosphere, some drinks and a few bites. Be sure to make a reservation. 0/10 Service, 10/10 Food - But the Service Was a Birthday Buzzkill I came here for a small 21st birthday dinner (5 people), and while the food was incredible, the service was shockingly bad. I was so excited to try this place, but the experience was ruined by our server's attitude. From the start, our server seemed bothered by our presence. We brought a decorated cake for photos only, and were immediately told about an $8/person cake cutting fee. When we said we weren't planning to eat it, the server was still visibly annoyed, repeatedly questioning where the cake was, and where we're putting it. A friend ordered a pickle martini that turned out to be made with sweet pickles, not the dill pickles she thought it was going to be or as described by the said server. Asking for a replacement drink was met with resistance and more annoyance. After dinner, as I put candles on the cake, another staff member quoted a $6/person cake cutting fee (a change from the original $8), then our original server came back with the $8 fee again, even after we said we weren't eating it. To top it off, it took forever to get our check. As a server myself, I'm usually very understanding, but our server made us feel like an inconvenience. The entrees and appetizers were delicious, and most of the cocktails were great, but the horrible service overshadowed everything. If you're thinking of celebrating your birthday here, leave the cake at home unless you want it to be the main topic of discussion or of their annoyance. I had dinner at the Fino restaraunt in the "All In Hotel" on Colfax. The food was wonderful (Mediterrean inspired options) and the service was unreal- what a wonderful staff they have. I especially liked that they encouraged folks to share orders so that you could try more new things. The restaraunt is in an old hotel that has been wonderfully updated while still retaining the best parts of its past. This was by far the best dining experience I have had in a long time. The menu is glorified appetizers. $14 for two pieces of toast with tomato sauce, a sort of Caesar salad (endive) with WAY too much dressing? Not enough food, no entrees...we spent $188 (bottle of wine, yes) and left wishing we had gone elsewhere, where could get a full meal for much less. VERY noisy, too. The best part was good service.
