Cocktail and wine

Located inside the newly-renovated All Inn Hotel, FiNO is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and wine garden built around the relaxed ritual of aperitivo. The menu leans into fun summer cocktails and shareable coastal dishes -- with cool, retro decor all around and the friendliest staff. It's a welcome addition to East Colfax's ongoing revival, with an emphasis on connection over rushed dining. Open daily | 5-11pm What I loved: - Grilled artichokes (simple, but delicious) - Hamachi crudo, Italian style in a tomato brodo with olive oil - Spiced hummus with a side of beautiful veggies - Tomato/cucumber salad with whipped feta that is a surprise star of the night - Sweet potato that is also another crowd favorite - Perfectly cooked striped bass (juicy inside, but super crispy skin) - A riff on SpaghettiOs with meatballs in a vodka sauce

FiNo was delicious. This is the perfect space to go with a bunch of friends and share a a bunch of dishes. The menu was large and had options that were completely different from each other. I honestly didn't have anything I didn't like. I loved the Crudo and the aged meat. The ambience is lovely as well, kind of like a mid-century modern vibe. Our server was also really knowledgeable and had a lot of great recommendations.

Went to this new restaurant because a friend recommended it. The restaurant is a little hard to miss if you aren't looking out for it, it's in the hotel with minimum signage. The inside decor was nice and the service was good. I came with a couple of friends so we were able to get quite a few dishes to share. The dishes the stood out the most were the pasta dishes. Overall I good experience but I didn't feel like anything was outstandingly good. The dishes were smaller than I thought for the price.

I've been hearing about this hot new restaurant inside the revamped motel and was excited to check it out. Luckily, they had plenty of tables available as we came on a Thursday evening at 6:30 with no reservation as a party of four and were set instantly. The ambience is a swanky, retro vibe, with subdued colors and lighting. Outside, however it looks very rundown and the area isn't great, we honestly had no idea if we were in the right place or not until we went inside. Our server Alyssa was sweet and gave the best recommendations she could. Since we ordered a number of plates for the table to share, she also tried to put them in cascading so that they would come out a few at a time. Unfortunately, there was just such a lag between the first couple of plates and the next few that we were getting hangry waiting in between. To be honest, the food was good, but not great, we started with the tomato bread at her recommendation, and it was OK, the bread was a little too toasted, but the tomato spread had flavor, even though it wasn't the traditional 'cut a perfectly ripe tomato in half and scrape it on the bread' authenticity that you would get in spain. I was also kind of disappointed by the Hamachi Crudo, there was a real lack of flavor happening there. The standout dishes were the pastas and the tartare toast, the spaghetti al limone had such a nice blend of flavors and was really complemented well by the breadcrumbs. The toast had a wonderful crash of textures and flavors, and the quality of the tartare was great. The vodka owes pasta was also interesting, the creamy tomato sauce, bringing life to what otherwise would really just be SpaghettiOs, and the meatballs were tiny, cute and perfect. We also had the stuffed chicken wings, the nachos, and the sweet potato. Of the three, I would only order the sweet potato again. The chicken wings, if you can call them that as they're more like chicken nuggets, had a crusty coating that almost tasted like crushed up chips, and we're drenched in buffalo sauce - really not special and not worth $17 for three wings. We appreciated our time here, I'd probably be willing to come back and we order some of the dishes I liked and try a few more that I didn't get to this time, but I wouldn't prioritize this place unless I'm already in the area.

We stopped in before a dinner reservation and sat at the bar. One of the owners asked if it was our first time, and we shared that it was indeed our first time. She told us that she liked to describe Room For Friends as not a bar to watch sports, not a bar to go dance, but a bar to go when you are tired and just want to hang out and drink with friends. Loved her humor and her style! I also appreciated it when she pulled out some readers for my friend when he was trying to read the menu with the flashlight on his phone. They have a nice selection of wine to choose from by the glass as well as flights. They also offer snacks and charcuterie, as well as beer, seltzer, and non-alcoholic drinks. I decided to try a 'build your own' flight to see which of their wines I would choose for a full glass. I shared my palate preferences, and all selections were excellent. Prices are reasonable and pours are generous. I also have to give a nod to the artwork on their logo. I am an artistic person myself and appreciate the creativity of the name of the business, the product they sell, and the overall concept being blended into one. Take a closer look at it! Definitely a place I will be revisiting!

There's plenty of comfy seating to lounge on, as well as a bartop for folks to sit on. This place operates as a cafe and light brunch place in the mornings, and a dim, moody vibe with a full bar in the evenings. All the workers here are really nice and approachable. When coming in, there are menus by the front door. When I went, it was around 11am on a Sunday, so it was pretty crowded. They have a food pop-up in the back patio that rotates between vendors, to my understanding. The back seating area is covered and has two space heaters nearby. Lots of fun things to choose from on the menu. I got an Irish Coffee, would highly recommend!

They make their own honey syrup in-house, and you can taste the difference immediately! The honey flavor is incredibly pure and perfectly balanced. The ambiance is one of my favorite parts it had warm lighting, great music, and the disco ball adds such a fun touch. Parking in this area is tough but worth it. Will definitely be back soon!

We loved the ambiance, feeling like we'd really discovered a gem off the beaten track, pun intended. By joining the club, it was a monthly excuse to plan a special night out to what became one of our favorite places for date night. It's been a couple of years now, but we had occassion to meet the owners, when we mistook their closing time for an hour later. The lights were still on, so we didn't realize our mistake, until they'd already invited us in to exchange our monthly growler with such warmth. Super nice people, reflecting the vibe we always felt on our other visits. The staff echoes that disposition, always friendly and knowledgeable. Though the winery isn't on-site, I've always been impressed with their tasting experience. I've now been a member for over 5 years, going in at least once a month, and they still suggest trying seasonal options and have broadened my palette... Though my ex and I have parted ways for a long while now and he moved away, he's kept our membership current, calling it my "alimony," and a nod to remembering the good times we had together. I recommend Bigsby's for all the good memories for all the folks, be it a lazy summer afternoon on the patio or a cozy evening in the lounge area with a glass of red when it's cold outside!
