The food was REALLY good which was beyond words! You gotta try it yourself before it gets Michelin stars! The bartender was very knowledgeable about the ingredients of each dish which was impressive! Love the ambiance even in the washroom! Will revisit next time in Denver.

Food 4 stars. Odd location I will admit. But nice, dimly lit, cozy restaurant. The food was good. Would give 4 stars. Mostly because the portions are small and not very filling and the prices are way high. It was tasty, but overpriced for sure. The appetizers were very good. We had tje beef tartar and it was delicious. Our waiter Nick was a little pushy and came off bothered by the fact that we did not choose to go with his suggestions. Overall he was attentive, but I think he could have been more pleasant. The drinks were delicious as well.

They advertise excellent service, and they deliver. Genuinely engaged staff that doesn't seem in a rush. Likely because they are right-staffed with the correct amount of people all performing unique roles. Accommodated me as a walk-in with a short wait (less than five minutes). Charged my phone for me while i dined as I was traveling and left my charger at the airport. Wonderfully close to the DIA train at Union Station. Sat outside so I could watch the people passing by; special treat with the MCR concert - got a free "parade". The food was decadent. I was so hungry I ate most of it before I thought to take a picture. I had the ragu and then I had the burrata. The waiter suggested bread with the burrata, but I enjoyed it on its own. Also splurged on an Aqua Panna. Delicious.

Amazing service. Freddy the somm had great knowledge of Italian wines (we got a bottle of Sesti Montalcino) and felt like an old friend. We started with focaccia with honey butter followed by the rigatoni lamb ragu and pesce with leeks and pancetta. Ended with an amazing tiramisu. The ambiance was perfect. Lively but not too loud. The pace was slow and good for savoring the time on a great date night.

Tavernetta is the bomb! I get so excited to come here every time and luckily my coworkers like this place enough for me to dine here every now and then for lunch. It is always a treat. No matter what you get here, you will enjoy it. I haven't had a bad dish or drink here. Do not skip out on the Per La Tavola (for the table plates). They are all so good. We normally get the Piatti Di Cicchetti (olives, pickled veggies, and almonds), Piatti Di Salumi (prosciutto, salame, coppa), and the Burrata. They all complement each other SO WELL. Pair that with a white wine and you got yourself a time. The 2 course offering for lunch is also phenomenal. I got the Insalata Mista (lettuce, shallot, reggiano) and it's a decent sized salad and very tasty. The Mafaldine (lamb ragu, pecorino romano) is to die for. Such great flavor and the pasta is always cooked perfectly. The service here is always top-notch too. The staff is very well-trained and is on top of everything. Truly a well-oiled machine. The atmosphere here is impeccable too. You can tell that everything was thought of for a great experience: lighting, table layout, decor, etc. It is a great place to bring a significant other, business customers, etc. I cannot wait for my next visit to Tavernetta and I was just there a few hours ago!

Our dining experience was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the service was truly first-class--the wait staff provided attentive, polished, and impeccable hospitality. The elegant table settings and beautiful glassware created a sophisticated atmosphere, and every bite of my dinner was rich, flavorful, and absolutely divine. I highly recommend exploring the wine list, and be sure to save room for dessert--they're truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious! If you're ever in Denver, make this restaurant one of your must-visit destinations. It's an unforgettable dining experience that I can't recommend highly enough!

I appreciate the prompt responses from Sean and Erin about my concerns. We will be back and continue to recommend Tavernetta.

I love a good classic Italian meal and this place is not that, the food is Italian with a unique flare and the portion sizes are too small, I didn't even want to share a bite, cause I'd only have a few left. The atmosphere is beautiful and it's in a great location but the food lost me. Service was good, but nothing over the top amazing.

We came here with some credit and it was fantastic! We got the bread and carrot appetizers and I thought both were amazing, my favorite parts of the meal. The entrees weren't quite as amazing for me, but the tiramisu was good. The atmosphere was so nice on a summer early evening and service was very fast and attentive. It's a bit more expensive than my normal, but definitely worth trying once

Utria left us hanging ( literally forgotten by our waiter, no apology, nothing). So my wife and I walked out and landed at Tavernetta... and damn, that place delivered every single thing we were looking for. We started with the burrata, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST burrata I've ever had. Not the best in Denver. The best, period. Backed that up with a solid salad, then moved into a homemade pasta with ragù that had no business being that good. Finished with dessert and walked out wondering why we'd even bothered with Utria in the first place. Here is the thing though... sometimes you need a bad experience to land in the right place. Tavernetta didn't need our five stars: but it earned them anyway.

My husband and I dined in for our anniversary this past weekend and it was phenomenal! It was also our first time here. From the moment we walked in to when we left, everyone was so friendly and attentive. The hostess to manager to server all acknowledged it was our anniversary. Even the menus had a little "happy anniversary" typed on it! It's the little details that make the biggest impact. We had the burrata and half order of bread, delicious. Next up was the crudo. I loved the unexpected freshness and color from the rhubarb. My husband got the tagliatelle and I got the garganelli. Both were delicious. We ended up switching plates halfway through. We also got a side of grilled rapini. Very tasty, a little difficult to cut. To round out the meal, we finished with the affogato, mmm delicious. I appreciated there was a mocktail section as I don't drink too much anymore. The dishes and utensils were switched out after each course which is always appreciated. Overall our first experience at Tavernetta was great, I would love to come back and try more of the menu!

A Michelin rated restaurant for good reason, Tavernetta is always consistently delicious. The cocktails are delicious, and the service is great. The atmosphere is luxurious but also comfortable.

I've been to Tavernetta twice for dinner and loved it. Today, I came for lunch with friends. Lunch is a pre fixe menu, with extra appetizer options. We started with the burrata. For my meal, I selected the seasonal soup (a cold corn soup) and the branzino. My friends ordered the mista salad and cacio e pepe. Everything was yummy, and plenty of food. The waitress insisted on having us try the tiramisu, which for me was the standout. Great service and a nice vibe. I prefer the dinner menu mostly because I love their capaccio, which wasn't available on the lunch menu. That said, I'd return to Tavernetta any time.

Does the champagne and caviar cart still exist? I've seen posts about it on social media but don't see it mentioned on the website. Is it seasonal?

Do they have vegetarian options for dinner?

From what I remember yes they do if you eat dairy.

I unexpectedly had a 3% kitchen appreciation fee somewhere else. Does this place do this? Carlton: thanks will try them out! Phil: If the owner isn't paying them, why are owners forcing Customers to? Poor management or way to increase their profits?

    Nope!

Are there spaces in the place that are very quiet? I find so many restaurants have room designs that make the place quite loud and for me that's a minus.

I don't really think this place is quiet, although if you go at lunch, it's a smaller dining area and less crowded. They have an awesome lunch special too, it's our favorite time to go.

When do reservations open for future dates?

Reservations are open now for the month forward. New reservations open daily from the date.

Is there a dress code? If so, what is it?

    Smart casual

Is there a minimum food and beverage requirement?

    Are kids allowed?

Yes but I don't recommend kids unless they're very well behaved and love food. Not sure if they even have a kids menu. Check website.

    Is there a dress code?

Tavernetta does not have a dress code - whatever you feel most comfortable in!

Are they open for indoor dining? Do they take reservations?

    They are! They do!

Are you able to make any of your pastas dairy free?

Hi Emily, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we can do a number of pastas dairy free.

Is there a dress code? Thanks in advance!

Ciao Cindy! Nothing formal, but you see it all; some folks are attending a theatre or musical event, and others straight off the train. Come as you are and enjoy!

Do they offer gluten free pasta and/or pizza?

Absolutely! They can make any pasta gluten free except for the stuffed pastas!

However, I have dined here 5 times over the last 12 months and each time I have experienced 1) servers that neglect the solo diner and 2) lazy bartenders. All five times I have gone here, to both eat and drink, I have been sat at the bar. I normally enjoy the experience of sitting at a restaurant's bar, however the experiences at Spuntino have been unpleasant. 1) When you sit at the bar, they have a server attend to you instead of the bartender standing right in front of you. This would be fine except the server still has a full section in another portion of the restaurant and they tend to forget about their customers sitting at the bar. All five times I've ate here I've constantly had to flag down my server to order, get the check, have my drink that's sitting at the bar handed to me, order another round, etc., which greatly takes away from the dining experience. This leads into the lazy bartenders issue. 2) Despite sitting in front of the bartender as they make your drink, they refuse hand you your drink once it's made and instead will walk a longer distance to place your drink on the service well where it sits until your server comes to deliver it, which in most cases has taken 5-10 minutes. So you're sitting there staring at your drink watering down because the bartenders are too lazy to just hand it to you even though the drink ticket shows that the drink is for a customer sitting at the bar. There have been a handful of occasions where I've had to flag down another staff member to ask them to deliver my drink because my server hasn't come behind the bar and the bartenders will completely ignore you when you try to get their attention. I experienced these problems the first time I dined at Spuntino, and I've tried several times again hoping the experience would be different, but each time it has been the same which has been extremely disappointing and ultimately deterred me from wanting to dine and spend my money here.

We arrived for Brunch on a Sunday afternoon & the place was busy. We had Cheese Bread with Marinara, Lasagna & Chicken Parmigiana. Our dishes were delicious! The bread was a meal in its self with a really tasty sauce. The lasagna was very good as well but the parmigiana was even better...crispy flavorful chicken. What tied all this together was the scrumptious red sauce used in everything we ate. It was awesome with a spicy kick. This was an amazing meal & I look forward to trying some of their dishes from the dinner menu like the Lobster Ravioli & the Chicken Marsala.
