Came for lunch. Accidentally enrolled in a customer service scavenger hunt. I went to Green Seed with a friend and was excited to see they accepted Blackbird. My meal was $23.72, which I paid through Blackbird. Then I noticed two additional charges on my credit card for $17.65 and $20.37. So somehow my $23.72 lunch had entered its luxury dining era. Naturally, I tried to contact the restaurant. Plot twist: the phone number listed for Green Seed doesn't actually connect you to the restaurant. Apparently speaking to a human is an off-menu item, so I had to contact them through Instagram. I explained the charges and was told by Zach that Blackbird was new for them, they were "learning through the process," and that he didn't have any real answers because he wasn't familiar with the Blackbird back end. He said he'd contact his Blackbird representative, asked for my email, and told me he'd follow up. Okay. Fair enough. Except... there was no follow-up. So I had to follow up with them about their follow-up. Eventually I was told Green Seed and Blackbird would complete their transactions over the weekend and they'd contact me Monday. At this point I was frustrated. Very frustrated. And yes, my messages reflected that. I'm not going to pretend I responded like I was writing a thank-you card to my grandmother. When you're expecting to pay $23.72 and suddenly have more than $60 in charges associated with the transaction, you're probably not sending heart emojis. What really killed any chance of me returning, though, was how the situation was handled from there. Rather than simply saying, "I understand why you're upset; let me help figure out what happened," Zach became defensive, told me my "attitude and accusations are quite inappropriate," repeated that this was Blackbird's problem, and told me I was welcome to contact Blackbird myself. When the conversation deteriorated further, his final customer-service solution was: "Best of luck." LMAO. Nothing says "we value your business" quite like turning a payment issue into a side quest and wishing the customer Godspeed. To be clear: I understand that Blackbird may ultimately be responsible for the incorrect charges. That's exactly why I initially contacted the business--to figure out what happened. Green Seed chose to implement Blackbird as a payment option, told me themselves that it was new and they were still learning it, and initially offered to contact their representative on my behalf. THAT was the appropriate response. What wasn't appropriate was the lack of proactive communication, getting defensive with an understandably frustrated customer, essentially saying "take it up with Blackbird," and ending the conversation with "Best of luck." I didn't expect Green Seed to personally reverse a charge they couldn't control. I expected them to give a damn that a customer had a payment problem after using a payment method offered at their restaurant. The food was fine. Unfortunately, my $23.72 lunch came with $38.02 in mystery charges and a complimentary "Best of luck." Would I return? Best of luck. read more

The white girl with tattoos has the worst attitude and zero customer service and her hygiene is another story. The other employees were trying but seemed like they had no training on solving issues they create. The owners should really talk to the employees about how to make the customers happy, especially after they find hair in their food. I was disgusted and couldn't eat for the rest of the day as the hair went down my throat as I gagged it out! The kicker is that they refused to make up for it and told me they will remake the soup. As I mentioned, I had to order the bacon fried rice (BFR) this time around and I added avocado to it for even more flavor. I basically picked up the soup and drank it. So yummy. The overall atmosphere of the market was very busy for this Sunday morning, and we were delighted to have found seating. The line at green goddess was not terribly long, nor did it take a long time to get our food which was great because we were starving. The place offers a water station with fresh glasses and silverware and there was no line for the bathroom. Great sign. Apartment hunting led me to this place. Came here a day before just to see what's around and saw Green Seed. Looks healthy, sounds good, okay I'll come back tomorrow. It's snowing today, did a self-imposed "Meatless Tuesday" really sound that good? Well, YES! I'm sooooooo glad I went and picked up my order at Green Seed Market!! The order-ahead process was hassle free. I got the "Kale Yeah Mother Brussel" salad. Loved that shaved brussels and kale leaves give my teeth a workout, haha. And guess what? It wasn't "Meatless Tuesday" after all, as I lovingly found bacon bits throughout the salad, YES! And YUM! Along with the Gorgonzola crumbles and Golden Raisins (something I normally would not think to add to a salad), it created a very tasty bed of veggies (and cherry tomatoes).
