Good quick healthier food. I got the Southwest chicken bowl and it was tasty. I liked the addition of sweet potato slices, apple slices and craisins that made it have a slight sweetness to the salad. There was a good amount of chicken and i asked for only a small amount honey balsamic vinaigrette sauce and that was the perfect amount for me. Prices weren't bad and i got out of there pretty quick. I am a total crunchy granola, rabbit food eating southern California girl; I will admit that wholeheartedly. Ha! Mad Greens is right up my salad loving alley and it's all so darn good. I found Mad Greens when I moved here in 2020 and it quickly became my regular spot to eat. In 2020, you couldn't go in for a while but they delivered curb side and through Doordash/UberEats. Once things reopened and until now in 2025 you can go inside and order. They have a variety of salads to choose from and each can be customized while they assemble your order in a stainless steel bowl. I've been here so many times over the years and the customer service is always excellent. They listen to requests and advise on extra costs if any. My regular go to is the Athena with beets but the Crazy Ivan and MAD Caesar and Ty Cobb salads are also delicious! Go...see...order...eat...and enjoy. There is indoor seating and a patio at this location. I've never dined in but the venue is always quiet and relaxed. Why doesn't San Diego have a franchise?! If you're short on time and want a quick salad order, this is a nice location. Service was quick and there are plenty of seating if you planned on eating in store. The salads taste pretty fresh and I really like that they take time to mix all the ingredients together with the dressing. There's a lot more veggies in one salad order than I had realized. I ordered the Athena without olives and it was a pretty healthy meal that kept me full. The hummus trio was pretty good. I was very busy at work and needed a quick, health bite to eat for lunch. A coworker recommended it and I decided to give it a try especially since its 5 minutes from the office. I did the create your own salad and thought they had plenty of options from lettuce type to toppings and dressings. The line moved very quickly and they had amble amounts of indoor and outdoor seating areas. For the basic build it yourself salad, I paid $13 and it ended up being two meals. Very tasty easy meal. This is my usual MAD greens I go to. Not sure if there was a change of staff but the last three times I've gone in there and put my order in the staff get the order wrong every single time. I typically don't even write reviews but every time I go into this store the order gets put in correctly but the result is always wrong. Whether they forget certain ingredients or even putting ingredients I didn't even ask for. All to say just be careful while ordering through this store and double check your orders. read more

I eat here quite frequently for lunch since I work in the area. Typically I have a really good meal, and while the meal I received today was good - I can't eat plastic. In my salad was a sharp piece of plastic that almost went into the roof of my mouth. Everyone is nice here and service is always good, but please, please. Do not continue to prepare food after something breaks near the prep area. If I had been on location still I would've said something to the staff but my order was to go. Which, I have to admit is always a seamless process. Like stated before. I can't digest sharp pieces of plastic. read more

I wasn't aware "mad" could also describe "mad service." While I don't expect over-the-top cheeriness, there was definitely a lack of energy and engagement. No one was rude, which I appreciate, but there was also no real presence or customer care. What really pushed me to leave this review, was the lack of labeling on an order of four wraps. In what restaurant world does that make sense? We all ended up with the wrong meal. Thankfully, no one had allergies or aversions--but it could have easily been a bigger issue. I hope morale and attention to detail improve. If mistakes are going to happen, a bit of warmth goes a long way. read more

This may be the mad spice talking, but this place is the effing bomb! I always order the Sancho or whatever it's called. It's really good.

Customer service was horrible. Came in 30 min before close and the person making the salads was obviously pissed about it. When she rushed making the salad and just started adding the regular Cesar without asking. I tried to tell her I wanted the chipotle Cesar but it was ok she could just add it on the side and she threw the entire salad to the counter behind her really aggressively and huffed and puffed as she started making a new one. I tried to tell her to please stop I didn't want a new one multiple times nicely and just needed a side of the other dressing and she literally told me no and that another employee would take it home. She was so aggravated at her job it was really sad. Definitely won't inconvenience this place by coming back again. read more

Holy Venus!!!! I Love the Venus salad with spinach, strawberries, chicken and candied pecans. I frequent this place and the food is always fresh and the people are always professional and friendly. MAD Greens is consistently good and what's for dinner especially in the summer time. There is a $1 difference between the regular and large. So you might as well get the larger version and if you don't eat it all save it for the next day for a potential wrap. I typically don't switch up but the Ty Cobb is also a great, delicious chioce ! If you want an awesome dessert top of the salad with a brownie or toffee blondie. Lots of calories but well worth it if you pace yourself. We got soda and sat down, and almost immediately after we sat down the girl came out and started closing down the dining room. Putting up chairs, mopping the floor, taking the soda machine nozzles off. Super rude considering there were still two other parties in the booths as well trying to eat. When I went up to refill my soda I didn't realize the nozzles were off, so I got sprayed. Just the water fortunately, but seriously, why do that? 2 or 3 other groups came through and I can only assume they just didn't get drinks. This was my first visit to Mad Greens and I was very pleased. I did a create your own salad, which made my order a little pricey but gave me a great opportunity to sample many of the toppings. I really enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts and wild rice I added to my salad, and the Spicy Sriracha Almond Vinaigrette was amazing. Adding additional toppings to the salad can make your order very pricey but overall the salad was amazing. I used to go to the MAD Greens in Golden for lunch. Now, I no longer live or work near one. While out running errands today I stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and the staff here were so friendly! I love the spicy cilantro dressing and bought extra to take home with me today. I would definitely stop into this location for a cold salad (and a little respite from this hot heat)! My favorite is the pancho villa, it has some kick to it and I love it. I even left an excellent review Today the blonde chick had the audacity to charge me extra for adding olives when she shorted me on the regular items. My salad looked nothing like the salad in the picture. I was really disappointed and felt cheated. When I called her on it, she angrily added a tiny bit of just one of the ingredients missing. I was supposed to be intimidated by her the way she was acting. So I said no more. Over $20 for a salad and a drink, especially when you've been cheated, is way too much. I can get a better salad from Wendy's. You charge a lot of money for a lot of lettuce. I paid for Xtra chicken and received a few small pieces all mixed in with the lettuce and tasteless.
