    Bacon avocado egg Benedict

Cute restaurant in a super cute neighborhood. Loved the strawberry matcha, it was not too sweet which worried me. The bacon egg Benedict came recommended from the hostess, and they did not disappoint! Service was good, with a friendly staff.

    Mushroom & Swiss Omelette

Food: Was pretty good, I had the Swiss & Mushroom omelette. The flavors were pretty good, I really enjoyed the balsamic onions, it added a nice acidity that was needed. The mushrooms were well cooked and the Swiss was very cheesy! The pesto needed more acid, as it was overwhelmed by the flavor of the pine nut, ratio was a bit off for me. Also tried one of the pancakes (can't remember which one) which was very good, I believe it was either a pear or apple sauce on it with cinnamon butter which was delicious. Service: The service was good considering how busy they were. Food came out pretty quickly as well. Ambience: A nice little brunch place, and I think on every plate they add a slice of a tangerine!! Overall: A good reliable place, the food is a little pricey for the amount however, but good.

This has been one of my favorite breakfast spots for almost 5 years, but I've noticed that half the plate is filled with seasoned potatoes!? I'm attaching this photo so you can see what I mean: more than half of my plate is potatoes! I was very disappointed to see my plate literally filled with seasoned potatoes. Tagerine, you need to take this review into account because it's not fair.

This is the spot to go to if you're in Lafayette. They had breakfast and lunch options! We sat outside on the patio where there was plenty of shade and service was great. Would definitely go back for lunch! Right in the middle of downtown, lots of great people watching and just enjoying the fresh air! Street parking but it's free!

Service was okay. Had to ask for refills of coffee and napkins. Food, well.. they need to revamp the menu. Its taste was less than basic. The walnut pesto was clumped in one part of the omelet. The same with the spinach. The potatoes were cold. On both entrees. The kids menu lacks options without eggs. With a kid that has an allergy, the options were very limited and the server seemed to not have any knowledge with allergies.

Tangerine hits the spot! I've seen the location in downtown Lafayette many times but hadn't been in until recently and chose it based off of the Yelp reviews I read. It did not disappoint, so thank you, Yelp friends for your helpful reviews LOL. I stopped in for brunch on a Friday morning I happened to have off of work before running errands around town. Parking around 11AM was pretty easy for me, but I could see that weekend breakfast and brunch rushes would probably make it a bit more challenging, so do keep that in mind when planning your visit. I was greeted by a woman that seemed like one of the managers the instant I walked through the doors and led to my table right away - zero wait. The young woman who would be my waitress then showed up a second later, despite the dining room being pretty busy for a weekday morning. I started with a cup of coffee while I took my time looking over the menu. I think that because of the time I arrived, I received both the breakfast and brunch menus, though I'm not sure if this is just standard for all visitors. Either way, definitely liked having the additional options to consider! I settled on the mushroom and swiss omelet - I love the mushroom and swiss combo on burgers and other foods, but the ingredient combo was super intriguing - balsamic onions, anyone? The meal also came with the option of toast or an english muffin; I chose the english muffin and added a side of potatoes because who doesn't like potatoes? Well, some people, but I am mos def not one of them lol. I settled into the booth to write down my grocery list and sip my coffee after ordering and it seemed as though my meal just appeared out of nowhere - it was ready so fast! The whole plate was piping hot and I could see the steam rising from the eggs. Hell yeah. One of my biggest pet peeves at restaurants is being served less than hot plates. The presentation was appetizing and the first few bites were superb - everything tasted super fresh and the flavors were delicious. The omelet, potatoes, and even the english muffin were all cooked and seasoned (or buttered lol) to perfection! It was a very filling meal that I enjoyed to the last bite. I was checked on regularly throughout my visit and had the coffee I was drinking warmed up a few times; I really appreciate the attentiveness of all the staff that I witnessed and do feel like it speaks so highly of the management and atmosphere of the restaurant. It's so nice to go out for a meal and feel that everyone present in the building - whether staff or customer - is enjoying their time and seems glad to be there. Tangerine is a gem! Not sure when I'll be back, as I don't really go out for breakfast regularly, but I would absolutely jump at the opportunity to stop in again at some point in the future!

Corned Beef Hash! The real deal! Soooo good!

When I lived in Boulder I dined here for brunch on a handful of occasions. What I love the most about Tangerine is how they do their Corned Beef Hash! They take the time to prepare it. It's not canned which some restaurants serve you. The Corned Beef is served "cubed" with peppers and onions. I love how they sautée it before serving. If you enjoy Corned Beef Hash, I recommend trying Tangerine. To date, this is THE BEST I've had in the metro Denver area. During a recent trip to Boulder, I had brunch here. I went out of my way to dine here because that Corned Beef Hash is so good. Besides CBH, I ordered a pancake on the side. You may order the authentic maple syrup and not the candied (high fructose syrup) syrup that so many restaurants commonly serve. I believe that I asked for another serving of maple syrup and I wasn't charged for it. For this visit at the Lafayette location, I chose to sit on the outside patio rather than wait longer for a table at the inside dining area. It was a weekend and they were busy, of course. The only downside on this day is that the weather was a bit chilly. Service was fantastic! My waitress was very kind and polite. This made my meal extra special. I hope that she becomes a manager someday. If you haven't tried Tangerine yet, I recommend checking them out. Keep in mind the long wait times on the weekends. Plan ahead accordingly. Also, parking is only on the side streets of if you're lucky, you may find a spot on the Main Street. I wish they had a Tangerine down in Castle Rock. Looking forward to that next Tangerine visit! Looking for another excuse to visit Boulder! Ha!

Corned Beef Hash (as a side)

Clean tables, friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere for breakfast, brunch and lunch. The corn beef hash is some of the best, if not the THE BEST I've ever had. Thick savory cuts, with bacon and onion. The potatoes are zesty not spicy. When I visit again I'll definitely order the full dish. The Reuben sandwich was top notch as well. It was a savory, filling sandwich. They also have a Reuben Benedict! Along with an incredible variety of other, new and traditional Benedict's. There is definitely something for everyone here. And the only regret you'll have is not having visited sooner!

    Strawberry Caramel Pancake

This place was great! A really cool location in Lafayette and was recommended to me from a friend. I went for breakfast on a weekday while in town for work and was sat right away. Service was good and quick. The strawberry caramel pancake was delicious and I got a side of bacon, which was slightly overcooked for me. Great spot and I will definitely return!

I completely don't remember what everyone ordered but I DO remember all the things I tried at the table. Tater Tots - parmesan & chives / house onion sour cream - nothing outstanding about this but the kids/teens/young adults LOVED it and may have inhaled it in one breath. Roasted Cauliflower - saffron cream / chermoula / sumac / miso aioli / crispy onion - the saffron cream was a nice touch of essence and the crispy onion brought a good sweetness and texture to the dish. Honey Bourbon Wings - fried chicken wings / honey bourbon glaze / dill pickles - this was FABULOUS, good fry, not burnt and the glaze was perfect, not ooey gooey sticky, just sticky to the touch. Wild Boar Bucatini - wild boar ragu / cured egg yolk / parmesan / chives - this was my dinner order. I'm always excited when there's bucatini on the menu. It just holds enough sauce in the hollows to satisfy me. The ragu was cooked well, good sauce maybe it needed just a little pinch more of salt for my liking. Parking in the neighborhood is not difficult. We had an airbnb down the street and walked here in less than 5 minutes. There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as a covered patio-ish area. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Lafayette!

It's actually quite easy to miss with Teocalli having way more business just one street down. It's got a lovely interior with lots of wood and a nice rooftop patio. Walking in, I wouldn't think much of it. The menu is relatively simple with some appetizers, salads, hot dogs, sandwiches, and some other things. Where this place shines is their bacon, and by extension their sandwiches. Multiple people I've gone with have said the JGBLT is the best sandwich they've ever had. It's certainly up there for me, just behind panino I've had in Italy. It's nothing complicated, but each part of the sandwich is so well done that the finished product is understated and overwhelming. So good. It's also the perfect portion, every time. It doesn't seem to matter how hungry I am when I come in. They have an excellent beer list with lots of things to choose from. The whiskey menu is absolutely insane, and the whiskey flights are necessary to digest it. A small thing that is really nice- their sodas. It's not just coca cola or Pepsi products- they have craft sodas, which are really excellent. Additionally, you can get their non alcoholic cocktails for the same price as just a soda, which is lovely. The daily specials are always fantastic and a good way to get something unexpected. I will be extremely sad when I have to move from Lafayette, as this restaurant is one of my favorites in the world.

A friend recommended Acreage, so after a long day in Boulder, hiking and walking around town, we stopped by on a Saturday evening. And honestly, it lived up to the hype and then some. The setting is what really makes this place special. It was busy with what felt like a true local crowd--families, kids, groups of friends--all hanging out. There's a huge outdoor area with picnic table-style seating, plus some indoor space, but the real star is the view. The mountain backdrop is unreal, and the sunset we caught that night was one of those "okay, we could live here" moments. They do take reservations, and I'd highly recommend making one if you're going on a weekend. We loved it so much that we've been back twice since, once while apartment hunting and again after we moved, when we brought family to show them one of the spots that sold us on Denver. For a cider-focused spot, the food seriously overdelivered. The soft pretzels are next level--three per order and perfect for sharing. Everyone gets their own and is happy. The roasted baby carrots were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time. The Jalapeño Caesar with added chicken is really solid, and the winter salad (also with chicken) was a huge portion and great if you want something a bit lighter/greener. The Lafayette cheesesteak sandwich, though, has been the standout for me--top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and this one absolutely delivered. There are still a few things on the menu I'm looking forward to trying next time. And of course, the cider. I'm not a big beer guy and neither is my girlfriend, so this place is perfect if you're looking for an alternative. I'd definitely recommend doing a flight. They've got a wide range--from fruitier options like blueberry and apricot (crowd favorites) to drier ciders, which I tend to prefer. They also rotate some unique options--recently we tried a salted cucumber cider that was great and quite refreshing. My personal favorite is the Banjo series, which is aged in bourbon barrels. It has a subtle bourbon flavor that makes it super unique and really enjoyable. All in all, Acreage is more than just a cider spot--it's an experience. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the surprisingly great food and drinks, it's become one of our go-to places!
