    Biscuit and gravy
    Tamara M.

Food was average. I ordered the biscuits and gravy is not a milk gravy and is more watery and taste was ok. I had the plate and the potatoes were very good and had peppers and onions with a little spice.

The Biscuit Bar seems to be an extension of Mudrocks bar and grill, it is a room attached to the bar with a doorway. The food must come from the bar kitchen since there is no cooking area in the Biscuit Bar. When I arrived there was a small group of 6 or so who appeared to be having a business meeting over biscuits and coffee. The room is laid out nicely with simple adornments and generously spaced seating. Everything seemed very clean and orderly and I was greeted upon entering. I ordered a breakfast biscuit with eggs, cheese, bacon and a cup of hot black coffee. I no more than sat down and the breakfast sandwich arrived. The coffee was very good, rich, hardy taste and strong the way I enjoy my java. The sandwich was standard fare as far as the bacon, eggs and cheeses are concerned. The biscuit was good, it was flaky, delicious and fresh. They weren't very busy for a place with limited hours centered around breakfast so I hope they can sustain because the food sample I had was good. The location isn't visible to street traffic on south boulder road and it is tucked in the far corner so they will need repeat business. I will probably be back to the Biscuit Bar in the future.

Pulled Pork, Cheddar & Apple Butter Biscuit. Great combination.

Tucked away in the corner of a modest strip mall, Biscuit Bar indeed looks like a bar that serves all sorts of biscuit sandwiches. In other words, it's my favorite type of bar as a non-drinker. Similar to an alcohol bar, patrons order at the counter. After ordering, we received a number so that they knew where to bring out our food once it was ready. Our order came out so quickly that it seemed like all the ingredients were prepared beforehand, and all they needed to do was assemble upon ordering. I ordered the pulled pork biscuit sandwich with cheddar and apple butter, which was a huge hit with my infant who rejected his own food that we brought from home in favor of the pulled pork with a bit of apple butter. Mind...blown. I thought it was a tasty combination and a great portion size for the price, though the food was a lukewarm temperature and pulled pork a bit too salty for my taste. My husband ordered the breakfast biscuit sandwich with sausage, and his order was warm enough that the cheese was all melted and gooey. He proclaimed it to be a solid choice and described his mimosa as "a normal mimosa, perfectly adequate." My hot toddy was pretty watered down, which would have been a huge bummer had we not already had coffee prior to coming here for breakfast. Overall, I wish the coffee was stronger and the food was warmer, but the quick service can't be beat and it's a reasonably priced breakfast. Plus, the folks at the counter were super nice and friendly. P.S. While the Biscuit Bar closes at noon, the kitchen at Murdock's literally next door will serve the Biscuit Bar menu items until 2pm. Good to keep in mind for those days (i.e. every day )when you want breakfast foods for lunch.

Customer service was impeccable here! From phone to in person she was so lovely! Pickup is in Mudrock's tap and tavern probably only during COVID. There are signs to direct you :) Ordered on the phone for takeout * Sausage biscuit * Breakfast burrito chorizo (wrapped in foil) * Kenny biscuit (comes with a avocado :) ) As we were greeted we found the food was already in a paper bag with receipt that had a QR code to pay. Seriously! That's pretty fantastic ! And yes bottles of hand sanitizer nearby. Review time! Where to start? * Kenny biscuit contains a slice of chorizo patty, a sliced fresh avocado with chipotle mayo The biscuit I'd say was meaty and not because of the chorizo but the biscuit was so filling. Maybe it was a tad bit bready and not flaky but honestly it worked. * Chorizo quality was soo good. I was surprised to see the chorizo in patty 'griddled' form. The smokey taste was wonderful even in the burrito. *The breakfast burrito was great. I recommend adding some hot sauce to make it more spicy. But still pretty good. Also I think I've found my breakfast burrito spot! Whoo! I can't wait to go here again to try out the biscuits with gravy and biscuits with jam.

Today we tried the Cinnamon Rolls & the Biscuits & Gravy. The Biscuits and Gravy unfortunately did not wow me - I was looking for a true southern style meal and was not overwhelmed by the experience. However, the CINNAMON rolls. They were BEYOND tasty. The staff was friendly and very grateful for the business, but I did have trouble with curbside pickup. They were not answering the phone, so I ended up having to go inside to pick up. Not a big deal, just plan accordingly!

I was so pleased with my breakfast here recently! It was about 9 am on a Friday, and there only ended up being two other couples come in while we were there. I was expecting it to be super bust with the limited hours, so that was a nice surprise. The woman behind the counter was friendly and helpful. After much mental anguish, I ended up choosing the fried chicken biscuit platter, and holy cow! The chicken was crispy and juicy. It paired excellently with the gravy. The biscuits were on the denser side which I prefer. The dish also included a heaping pile of fried potatoes. Biscuits are my favorite breakfast carb, and they are really doing it well here! It's also legit that they have a bar, too, so it really is a biscuit bar. To top it all off, they played classic 50s/60s tunes which you just don't get to hear anywhere.

Well, here's a first. I'm recommending this place based on the take out my wife brought me. This is a fried chicken and bacon sandwich with some house made, spicy jam on a perfectly flakey biscuit!! She said the menu is insane and we are going back. Who am I to argue with that?!?

Breakfast burrito, and fried chicken with a biscuit & honey butter!

This place is so cute for a random Sunday brunch. It is definitely boulder. Meaning a lot of places have a certain vibe to them. The biscuits with the honey butter are to die for. It is very home cooked as opposed to the standard diner food. Which makes it extra special. If you're looking for somewhere new to eat. Eat here!

The Biscuit Bar no longer exists as a standalone store, but its menu is available next door at Mudrock's Tap & Tavern.

Great little option for breakfast. The food was really good and the Bloody Mary's even better. Good prices too.

I bake my own bread and there's a line every weekend so I haven't felt the need to go but decided to give it a try. I got the almond cinnamon roll with lemon glaze and my gf got a croissant and cortado. I asked to have the cinnamon roll warmed up and the guy at the register said, "We actually don't warm up cinnamon rolls here." It's a $7 cinnamon roll that'll leave me hungry in 30 minutes and you can't heat it up? Ever heard of someone eating cold cinnamon rolls? I sure haven't. Gave it a shot anyways and had to wait to get home to warm it up as I wasn't impressed. 9/10 warm and 4/10 cold. Should've asked for a refund when he said no. Won't be going back

Well, it is as long as you're not Black. I have been coming to this place since it opened. My relationship with Black Belly has lasted longer than my last marriage and would probably have lasted longer than what will be my subsequent marriage and maybe the one after that... but unfortunately, it has to go the way of those men! Last night, I stopped in for just a simple espresso martini so that I could stay awake for planned festivities... everything was fine, but one of the bartenders did give me a really nasty look when I sat in front of him. Now this is a shame because this is actually a fellow person of color and being that I am part Asian, Blasian on my mother's side: what I'm about to describe really does not sit well with me specifically. As I was going to leave, he mockingly asked if I changed my mind and wanted another. Or, after talking about how he has this roommate who only likes chicken fingers to other customers with disdain for said roommate's unrefined palate, told me he could instead get me some chicken fingers from the back while literally cackling AT me.... ?! Excuse me? So, I won't say how I responded, but it was appropriate and I immediately walked out, and I don't know how it could ever be made up to me to walk back in... Mocking a Black woman to her face and asking her if she wants some fried chicken from the back?! Wtf!!! I have had fine dining experiences all over the world certainly all over the state and the only other time I've experienced more egregious treatment was in Aspen: which I expect. To be clear, I have eaten at this location on more occasions than I can count as I have already expressed; that includes the front deli as well as the main dining room and at the bar. This assumption about my palate if meant innocently (it wasn't, the other bar patrons and bartender were visibly horrified!) was in poor taste at best. At worst, well... So get it together, Black Belly management. I also heard that your bartenders don't need to go to meetings? Maybe they should at the very least receive a little bit more training on basic professionalism! The food here is excellent. I couldn't bring myself to do one star; but, not worth macro racial aggression especially from a man! Major ick.
