He loved the pastries. Polish Pantry is an online-only bakery that carries four Polish pastries. They were fresh and very tasty--I got a couple to try as well. My introduction to Polish pastries was definitely a very tasty one. Orders are placed online and preferably by 3 pm Friday. Pickups are from the baker's front porch on Saturday morning 9-noon. I'm very happy that I was able to support a small CO business as well as find some yummy pastries. I actually placed my order Friday evening and PP was able to complete my order for Saturday morning. If you are looking for authentic Polish pastries here in Colorado, give Polish Pantry a try. They do have some limited delivery in the Arvada/Broomfield area.

I ordered the breakfast croissant, a black coffee, and a blueberry muffin. Now, I firmly believe a bakery's coffee should be judged the same way a singer is judged performing acoustically: no fancy tricks, no backup dancers, nowhere to hide. If your black coffee is excellent, everything else is built on a strong foundation. Thankfully, La Belle passed that test with flying colors. The breakfast croissant somehow managed to be both delicately flaky and impossibly soft at the same time. Every bite left a trail of evidence on my shirt that I regret absolutely none of. I'm fairly certain the croissant received more quality control inspections than my first apartment.
