Amazing little bakery with divine pastries and burritos and quiche! Lovely staff - very welcoming and friendly. The galettes are just delicious! Tucked away in the industrial park but worth it to go!!! read more

Delicious food, wonderful people and great environment with a lovely out door patio.... But holy cow so so so slow! You cannot be in any sort of rush here. I personally think waiting 20 minutes for a cup of coffee and to heating (not making just heating) the burrito is a little ridiculous.... Like, move it a little sweetheart please. No sense of urgency. read more

Hands down best bakery in Boulder County. On the internet I was searching for best pot pie in America and lo and behold Shamane's bakery received Best In State of Colorado. I was homeless for a while and during closing on Tuesday they would give a bag of treats. read more

Hole in the wall bakery. Excellent baked goods. We visit pretty often. Sweet and savory items are both exceptional. And they use noodles for stir sticks which seemed odd at first but is super cool! read more

Fantastic monkey bread and an amazing chocolate chip cookies!!!!! The staff was incredibly kind, efficient, and attentive.

Called in for a very last minute cake and was met with the kindest service. They made a beautiful cake for one of my best friends in her preferred flavor ready for her party the next day. Would absolutely recommend this bakery for all your bakery needs! read more

Today is the last time that we will be patronizing Shamane's as the quality and the portion size does not warrant the very high prices. We got a sticky bun the size of small dinner roll, no flavor of any kind detectable, less than 1/2 the size of any other portion called a sticky bun, an apple galette, regular size, and a tiny slice of cake. All for $22. If the taste were better on all 3, maybe the sweets would justify the price, but now that the shrinkage is so acute and the taste is so off, we won't be back. It just does not give value for the price point. Sad that so many places that had been former favorites of ours are in the rearview mirror only. read more

Friendly staff help you select amazing savory items & pastries. Everything is just delicious, a treat to both your eyes & palate. Personal favorites are the best chicken pot pie anywhere, mango passion fruit tres leches & fruit galettes. read more

This bake shop is definitely worth returning to, but I did have to take off a star for the price. We only got 4 items and it was $33 with tax. You know that beep you hear when tapping your card to pay? Yeah, that was my credit card crying lol. But like I said, totally worth it! The quality of the pastries is so good, not to mention the size of the pastry items make the priciness seem a bit more reasonable. Even after getting our pastries in the afternoon and eating them a few hours later, everything that would've been soggy by that point was still crispy and flaky. I don't know how they do it, but please don't change a thing with your recipes. We got a brownie, croissant, rhubarb (and apple?) galette, and chicken pot pie--haven't tried the chicken pot pie yet, but everything else was delicious. The pastries almost made me feel like I was in Paris again. And the cherry on top was the staff, but more specifically, the person who took our order. She was very patient with us even though the bakery was getting busy and we took a couple of minutes to decide what we wanted. She couldn't have been nicer. I'll definitely be back! Hopefully next time they'll have some kouign amanns so I can compare them to the ones in Honolulu. read more

We visited Shamane's Bake Shop twice during our 4 days in Boulder. Everything we bought was very good & some pastries were excellent. The hazelnut linzer torte was the stand out. Truly excellent, flakey crust, lovely combination of hazelnut & the right balance of sweetness. The cherry galette was also delicious. The additional of a crumble on top is genius. We ordered sandwiches too on Day 1 - they Shaved Turkey Rueben & they were generous with their fillings. Not your traditional Rueben. Day 2 - I got the Chicken pot pie - delicious pastry crust & comforting filling. For me a bit more salt in the filing would have been a welcome addition but lots of colorful veggies & creamy filling. My husband had the pear & chocolate galette & said it was very good. The almond croissant was good too - so many flaky layers - but I agree with other reviews that say it could use more filling. My daughter got the monkey bread which she loved! She took a bite before we could snap a pic! And my son got the chocolate croissant which was a winner. On both days we got brownies too which were a big hit with the kids. Overall you can't really go wrong here - I wish we lived closer so we could try all the tempting treats! read more

Omg. The best pies in Boulder! Everything is wonderful there. Flaky pastries. Yummy savory options as well. Love this place.

We got a coconut cream pie for Thanksgiving. It was 'ok', but to be honest, I've had much better. The custard had a strange mouth feel. Not quite gritty, but something, almost a floury taste. The crust was kind of soggy and the whole thing had kind of a freezer-burnt taste. I would go back and try something else, but I'm not sure I would buy a whole pie again. It was quite expensive for something I'm not sure we will finish. The people were really nice there. The shop is on the small side, so it doesn't invite one to sit awhile and have some coffee and a pastry. read more

Best bake shop in Boulder by far. Been here several times, but never got pictures and would always eat first because it's so good. They have a small area to eat but I always do takeout. Tried the quiche for the first time and it was amazing! Had both the ham one and the vegetarian. Both were great and for the price they actually give you a lot. The breakfast hand pie was also good, but not my favorite because there are so many good things here. What makes this place so great for all their pastries is the crust. The chicken pot pie is my favorite thing here. Definitely a must have and great for a takeout dinner it's very filling. We also got the torte della Nona. So delicious and not too sweet. We've also Pre ordered cakes for birthdays and the almond with raspberry one is great. So is the carrot cake. Whatever the amount of people they say is good for the size of the cake, I would add a few people to that number because the cakes are super tall and they make the buttercream thick. My uncle said they make the best carrot and that's his favorite and he's had a lot of carrot cake. Highly recommend everything here! read more

Reviewing so that I can find this place on my next trip to Boulder! Great coffee and the pastries are both beautiful and delicious!

+ Apple galette + Cheesecake + Tres leches + Almond croissant + Pecan tarts + Chicken pot pie + Chorizo burrito Absolutely delish! I'm so glad I made the drive here. It's located in a business park in Boulder, Co. A bit away from downtown but so soo worth it! As you can tell I ordered a bit of everything to-go. I took a spoonful of the tres leches and went on to sample the cheesecake and I just couldn't stop! My husband and I joked that this should've been our wedding cake. I love love love this place. It's just so far from me but trust I'm def coming back. Everything was amazing. You can't go wrong with anything your order here. To be fair, I haven't had quite everything on the menu, but I can't imagine with the attention to detail and level of craft placed into what I've had so far why would anything else be short of amazing? read more

Without question, the best bakery and cafe in Boulder County, and it's worth the complicated trek through an industrial park to enjoy it! Recommended by a neighbor, and she was spot on! Fabulous options in abundance, including pies, cakes, pastries, sandwiches, soups, pot pies, and quiche. Have visited multiple times, and have enjoyed exceptional results. The chicken pot pie is remarkable. Excellent customer service, friendly staff, a couple of outdoor tables, and respectful during COVID. Gift certificates available also. read more

I stumbled upon this place while out walking, and it was a fabulous find! The staff were very friendly, and down to earth helpful, the food was fantastic, the prices reasonable, and when my order took longer than expected, they offered me a free cookie. The inside space is very cute although be aware that seating is limited. I am not local, but I will definitely be returning next time I am in town! read more

What a cute little hidden cafe. I wouldn't know about this place if my friend didn't work close by. Upon visiting the area he told me we had to come in for a snack. Pastries both savory and sweet with some other items around, looked amazing. My friend opted for two cookies since they looked big beautiful and moist, while I got a blueberry croissant type pastry. Wow, it was buttery, flaky and everything that i had hoped for. This place is small and since we did come in later in trendy, many things were sold out. The items that he told me he wanted to try were all gone. For sure if you want your choice of items, come in the morning, it is absolutely worth it. On the inside there were a few little tables but everything was taken when we went in. There's a reason why, this place is that good. read more

Best bakery in Boulder, probably the surrounding towns as well. They have a great variety of sweet and savory pastries including some of the best croissants I've ever had. The space is small but they've made it feel cozy, and there's a quiet outdoor seating area as well which is top notch during the summer. You can't go wrong here - definitely a jewel in Boulder's crown. read more

It is a hidden gem in an industrial park surrounded by offices. It was recommended to us by a friend and I'm so glad to have been introduced to this place. The chicken pot pie was baked to order and served warm out of the oven with super flaky crust. The almond croissant had great lamination to it as well. All in all, great homemade baked goods and huge variety. They have a few outdoor seating/dining options but most people take it to go. We also took it to go and ate at a park close by. We will be back for sure! read more

I've stopped here twice and the quality is top notch... excellent pastries, sandwiches, cookies etc.. I had to deduct a star on my review because today I bought a "Morning Bun" and a Ginger Snap Cookie. The morning bun looked convincing until I tore off a layer of pastry and say what looked like fresh herb butter... Upon tasting I was expecting a symphony of cinnamon and sweet but... NO!!! :'-( It's some type of savory bun... and what I thought was sugar is Parmesan cheese. I'll save it for another time but they really need to get their product labeling together. The cookie was awesome. read more

went in person to buy/order cupcakes, and they refused to take the order in person. Instead they directed me to a poorly designed web form on their website, which I submitted. When I went to pick them up two days later on the day of the event, they said their email system had been losing orders and they had no record of it. Their best solution was that they "might be able to make them later that day" at the cost of my driving there a third time. meanwhile, they can't just have a half dozen of each flavor of cupcake in their case ready for sale? They only have three or four flavors. I would recommend a more reliable bakery. read more

Dude. DUDE. Duuuuuddeee. Dude!! Even with rain, a line, a wait, and impatience....this place is totally worth it. Ham and gruyere on a poppy seed bun with pickled veg....SO GOOD. Amazing croissants and pastries. Cute location. I did not check the back yard but last time I was there they had an outdoor café Since I haven't been there for a while it was very surprising to me how much actual food they had... I ordered a cake with some writing on it. They accepted the order. When I picked up the order they told me that they could not write on the side of the cake. I was confused and upset. Delicious baked goods and beautiful cakes!! Purchased a birthday cake for a friend and it was beyond my expectations!

My carrot wedding cake was definitely the best wedding cake I've tasted in my life! And not to sound too biased, but it was also the prettiest one I've seen! If I could do it all over, I wouldn't change a single thing about it. She did an excellent job with flower placement too (we got the flowers from our florist, Paul Wood, and then the baker placed them). What an outstanding job! I'll be back for carrot cake in the future, despite the distance. read more

It doesn't matter what you get from Shamane's you'll be thrilled. Yesterday on another customer's recommendation I got the turkey club sandwich. Made on fresh-baked bread with crispy bacon, loaded with turkey, avocado, and ripe tomato. Delicious! I am going back today for another. Healthy, delicious, and soothes my soul. Of course, I chose a brownie for myself which surprised me by its deliciousness! I have had chicken pot pie, rhubarb pie, apple pie, cookies, and danish. I am in awe! I've been around the world, but the best-baked good is within walking distance of my home! I highly recommend this place.
