We stopped by Lolita's after exploring Boulder and a pre-Rocky Mountain hike. The deli sandwiches are made fresh and quick, and the deli has so many snacks and drinks you can enjoy with your sandwich. This is a smaller grocery store and sandwich spot conveniently located between the shops on Pearl street and the hiking trails around Mount Sanitas. I love to stop here for drinks and snacks before and/or after hiking in the summer. I got a breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheddar cheese, hasbrowns, and avocado. I don't like sausage and I am glad they had an option to get avacado instead of meat for no extra charge. Even though the spot is pretty small, is is super stocked and filled with local goods that are hard to find outside of the farmers market. read more

What an awesome town Boulder is. And what an amazing gem Lolita's is! Small shop with two folks running the sandwich section. And putting love into this food. My wife and I ordered two sandwiches and bought snacks and drinks from the shop! I got the classic Pearl Street sandwich and my wife ordered the pastrami. The turkey sandwich was amazing. I loveeeee sprouts on sandwiches. And the sprouts here were on point. The cheese was fresh and the turkey was sooooo juicy. Overall. Soooo good. I got some pretzels to go with my sandwich and it was so good. Along with a soda. And the vibes? Immaculate. The staff were so nice, and felt like a family run establishment. The weather was perfect that day so eating outside was amazing. And overall I was so relaxed while eating my fresh sandwich. A catastrophe. Usually I get good sandwiches here but this morning I came in hung over looking to get a good comforting blt. I mean bacon, lettuce, tomato, on toast, just absolutely classic and nearly impossible to mess up. But boy was I sad when I unwrapped that paper and say this sad soggy looking "sandwich" hardly put together on un-toasted bread. I was even more discomforted when I took my first bite and had an absolute MAYO BOMB explode in my mouth after puking my brains out last night. Over all super sad experience. read more

Small but mighty, even though it's no longer a 24 hour spot. The selection is good for such a small place and the staff are wonderful. My husband and I live in the mountains and while there is a lot to love about that, we also sometimes miss being in town, so we take walks through the most walkable part of Boulder. On those days, we also go to Lolita's for breakfast, coffee, and tea. It's a routine we enjoy. The food at Lolita's is solid, especially the breakfast burrito. I used to prefer the Lo' Muffin with avocado, but they moved away from real avocado and now use a spread. Alas. Overall, a great spot, even though I miss it being 24 hours. I very much appreciate the online ordering system and reasonable prices. I'm glad this place is still around. read more

Found this place when looking for a place to eat on the way through Boulder, easy parking and outdoor seating. The food was amazing and was definitely come here again, not to mention the market has tons and tons of good drink choices and snack options. Deli located in the back of the market, one of the more reasonably priced spots for sandwiches on Pearl St. Order in the tablet, orders come out quick. Tables on the sidewalk in front of market. Got the turkey club on sourdough. It was heavy on the Mayo, but overall decent for $13 in a boutique style neighborhood. read more

Perfect stop on your way into the mountains. This old school convenience store has it all but most importantly made to order breakfast burritos and subs as well as an impressive grab and go selection. I love Lolita's! Every time I'm feeling crummy and need a good pick-me-up, I always go to Lolita's. They have very reasonable prices in the bodega, with a wide variety of things. Not to mention, the best part is their breakfast burrito. They cheffffff it up in the back and it hits every time. I would highly recommend this spot to grab some breakfast and get a quick beverage. The people working there are also extremely kind and have always made the atmosphere there so enjoyable. read more

Really convenient little market near my work. I love that I can stop in for snacks, drinks, toiletries, or some really great sandwiches. Any time I don't bring a lunch to work, I'm going to walk over to Lolita's and get a warm sandwich. I love a lot of the recipes for their sandwiches, but it's nice that you can also customize them on the tablets you order from. The picture doesn't do it justice, the Sanita's chicken is tasty! My other favorite is the Greek one with feta and all the other typical Greek salad/sandwich goodies. read more

In the most Colorado of fashions, I was looking for a quick stop after a hike. Lolita's Market is situated in the heart of Pearl St. in Boulder and I was pretty impressed with their selection of deli sandwiches, as well as the market side of things. According to their website, they are Boulder's only full service market AND deli. They are also located in one of Boulder's most historic buildings. They also house a ton of local Colorado brands, partners and producers. Even though the deli closes before dinner, the market is open late! Naples Staples // Roasted turkey, melted provolone cheese, and pesto mayo with lettuce, tomato and onion served on a toasted hoagie roll. All sandwiches include a pickle and choice of side (chips, fruit, potato salad, macaroni salad, or coleslaw). Um yes, this was a tasty sandwich. Roasted turkey can often be dry, but not here. Lolita's knows what they're doing. Although I didn't order the Italian (which is my go-to), I appreciated the pesto mayo which brought the whole sandwich together. The soft bread was clutch. Sandwich took about 15 minutes, then I immediately ran to my car and scarfed the whole thing down. #HappyCamper Ultimately, for a quick stop post hike, I'm a fan. If I hadn't gone grocery shopping a few days prior, I totally would've bought some items for the road. Great spot, will return! read more

I wish I had known about this place years ago. We were looking to grab some sandwiches for our flight later in the day. It was the best decision we made. I had the breakfast bagel sandwich and I'm still thinking about it weeks later. It was so delicious, so fresh, and this was hours after I bought it. First visit to Lolita's last Friday on a sunny, winter Boulder day. My wife and I planned on walking around the Pearl street mall with our dog, but were bummed to find out that dogs are not allowed on the mall between 11th and 15th streets. We ended up walking around the area West of 11th and we stumbled upon Lolita's. A sandwich sounded like the right fit for lunch so we looked up a menu on Yelp. Walking in, I saw a variety of local snacks, drinks and sweets for sale. The deli is in the back and I was able to place my order right away. I chose the Thai chicken sandwich (see pic) and my wife picked the cheesesteak sandwich with mac salad and potato salad for the sides. After a short wait I grabbed the sandwiches and paid at the front. Some tables were available outside so we were able to enjoy our lunch in the sun. Both of the sandwiches were tasty, although the cheesesteak had shredded beef instead of grilled steak. The bread was choice, which to me, is always the make or break factor of a good sandwich. The staff was friendly, the food portion was plentiful and everything was freshly made. The prices have gone up quite a bit (just like most places) compared to the menus shown on Yelp, but their website is up to date and you can order from there. They also have a cold case with pre-made sandwiches that look good if you are in a hurry. It is a full grocery store as well, so really a one stop shop. Good for stopping in before or after a hike! read more

We popped in to get sandwiches since this place gets such good ratings. We ordered three sandwiches which totaled $50 with tip. No drinks or chips. Upon paying I asked the older woman with longer silver hair working behind the counter to use the restroom. She told me no public restroom. I told her we were paying customers and she scoffed and said "no public restrooms. Can you imagine if we let people use the restrooms?" Wow - what an attitude so I walked away and she again, scoffed at me. So her attitude sucked. And public restrooms under the building code are required in retail food establishments generally. But the biggest bummer was the lame sandwich with basically nothing on it for $15. I'd skip this place for a more friendly generous place. read more

The Lolita's market sits right off Pearl St and is truly a wonderful place to get some very good and reasonably price food. If you're looking for a great sandwich or burrito or other healthy option to fill up the belly. You can get a great breakfast bagel for around 5 to 7 bucks or most other options for around 10 bucks. You may be wondering why I keep mentioning the price of their stuff and it is because everything else near Pearl where my office resides is much more costly. Also the staff is always friendly and that is a fantastic thing! If you in the mood for a great breakfast or lunch on the move you really can not beat Lolita's market. read more

One of the more authentic places in Boulder. We took our sandwiches to a nearby park, as there's not enough outdoor seating to accommodate the hungry college students at noon on a Friday. Sat under a tree and enjoyed the Mountain view! Walk to the back of the market, stand in line, order your food, pick out a drink, when your food is done they hand it to you and you bring it to the front register to pay. I ordered the Vermont Turkey Club and my partner ordered a hot sub the Firehouse. It's supposed to come with a side but we only received one of the two we ordered. We got a potato salad. My turkey sandwich was packed full of meat and cut in half. Definitely enough for two people. They added just enough sauce. The Firehouse was a smaller round sandwich, messy, and tasty. Subs come with a bonus pickle slice wrapped inside! Paid parking only. If I lived in the area I'd make it my goal to eat my way through the menu! read more

On our way back from Rocky Mountain National Park we wanted a good deli sandwich. Reviews looked great but wish I would've heeded the 1 star. No restroom. I spent almost $30 on 2 sandwiches and was informed I could use the donut shop bathroom across the road. Silver haired woman was beyond rude. Sandwich staff mentioned using the bathroom at Walmart so I asked for directions and was told there wasn't a Walmart in Boulder and the K gas station didn't have a bathroom so don't bother going there. WEIRD. My sons sandwich was great. Mine wasn't what I even ordered (The Pearl). It had NO turkey or sprouts but tons for fresh cucumber?? We were already back on the highway when I unwrapped it and realized it was vegetarian. Menu states you get a pickle and a side, we got nothing?? Waste of $$ and wouldn't recommend. read more

Short and simple: as long as there a place to sit outside it's a lovely lunch place. Food is fresh and you've got the bonus of a market to pick all kinds of extra food and drink. The coffee is great and you can mix up your own delicious breakfast blend with all the goodies at the end of the counter included in the price. I'm not sure about parking but we walked there and enjoyed that it was an easy walk to anywhere downtown. read more

Love their sandwiches. Made to order. I'm not a big sandwich lover but Lolita's has been a go to for many years. I favor their Italian, tuna, and turkey options the most. They do not have seating inside so keep that in mind but if you don't mind your sandwich to go they are an excellent choice. Plus there is free parking on that end of town. Just cross the street. read more

Last night, I stopped in for just a simple espresso martini so that I could stay awake for planned festivities... everything was fine, but one of the bartenders did give me a really nasty look when I sat in front of him. Now this is a shame because this is actually a fellow person of color and being that I am part Asian, Blasian on my mother's side: what I'm about to describe really does not sit well with me specifically. As I was going to leave, he mockingly asked if I changed my mind and wanted another. Or, after talking about how he has this roommate who only likes chicken fingers to other customers with disdain for said roommate's unrefined palate, told me he could instead get me some chicken fingers from the back while literally cackling AT me.... ?! Excuse me? So, I won't say how I responded, but it was appropriate and I immediately walked out, and I don't know how it could ever be made up to me to walk back in... Mocking a Black woman to her face and asking her if she wants some fried chicken from the back?! Wtf!!! I have had fine dining experiences all over the world certainly all over the state and the only other time I've experienced more egregious treatment was in Aspen: which I expect. To be clear, I have eaten at this location on more occasions than I can count as I have already expressed; that includes the front deli as well as the main dining room and at the bar. This assumption about my palate if meant innocently (it wasn't, the other bar patrons and bartender were visibly horrified!) was in poor taste at best. At worst, well... So get it together, Black Belly management. I also heard that your bartenders don't need to go to meetings? Maybe they should at the very least receive a little bit more training on basic professionalism! The food here is excellent. I couldn't bring myself to do one star; but, not worth macro racial aggression especially from a man! Major ick.

Since we were already in the shopping center to try a new place yesterday, we went to Frank's afterwards. Bottom line, we've finally found our favorite deli in the area. If it wasn't snowing today, we'd go back for a sandwich. Since we weren't immediately hungry, we instead looked over the meat selection and then zeroed in on the deli counter. I purchased just a few sample items. A bagel (they say it's a NY bagel, and it does have the right texture! Just wish they had whole wheat); whitefish salad (better than any others I've encountered in the area); cole slaw (perfectly blended - not too watery, not too dry); and a canoli, which was flaky and sweet. The deli items have an East Coast feel like no other in the area that I've encountered. Better than anything I found in Lakewood, where I lived before. And, since we just got back from a visit to my Dad in Florida, this was a welcome sight! The soup they had as a special, as well as the sandwich special descriptions sounded yummy, so we will go back, maybe this weekend. The meats also look good, so we will likely try some in the weeks to come. Again, I wish they could somehow create a place, even outside, where we could sit to eat. We could then eat right away instead of having to go home first. But even with that inconvenience, we look forward to more encounters. The young man who helped us doesn't know much yet about the choices, but I'm sure if he stays there, he'll learn. He was pleasant and helpful, asking another employee when he didn't know an answer. It's already busy there, but yes, I recommend going and waiting to try their goods! It's worth the wait.
