STARUCKS STAFF: Yesterday, June 19th, I ordered a Green Tea Macha Latte at the counter of the King's Starbucks. What happened next was entirely inappropriate. It was made by a young man who obviously had no idea what he was doing. I'm a very forgiving human being. I love seeing young people engaged and working. NOT THE LITTLE MAN I ENCOUNTERED at King's YESTERDAY. He was untrained. Unkind. Disrespectful in a shockingly rude, childish manner. I asked him to simply add something sweet to the mix and he began a hostile "education" in what the ingredients are in a GT Macha Latte are. ABSURD. I informed him that I have been ordering the same drink for 6 years and that I used to work for Starbucks. He was not only wrong. He made the opportunity to welcome customers to King's a negative and disheartening event. Frankly, that boy does not belong in Customer Service, period. Quick groceries, staff is always nice. Beautiful view from the store! Prices are fair and deals aplenty, and the produce here is usually top notch! Workers are always friendly and say hello, I go here often so it's my main store. One tiny feedback, sometimes the bagged salads don't last as long as Walmarts. I have no idea why but otherwise they are great! They had to renovate under sad conditions but are a much nicer store and larger than 30th St. Great discount salmon selection too. read more

I love the Table Mesa Kings. Its much nicer than 30th. The only issue i have had wwa w the Sushi....The Quality is sometimes poor and some of the help behind the bar are not friendly. I asked for a couple extra soy sances and the young man was very nasty and told me to buy a bottle. Then the Tuna i had was terrible. I will go to Whole Food next time since its closer. read more

I have determined that there is something, probably in the air, that sets off an allergy response in me. I have mild seasonal allergies nothing severe. Does anyone else notice this effect? I'm very pleased with this pharmacy, a solid combination of positive and knowledgeable customer service, outstanding and available pharmacists within a terrific grocery store. Located within the store, they are open 8AM until 9PM during the week, and until 6PM on weekends, great availability! Can drop off a perscription, and get your meds filled. Friendly staff. Love their customer interaction, and Jennifer the pharmacist is a gem, guiding customers and encouraging questions. Plenty of parking. My boyfriend and I used to love going to this place when we first started dating. We'd go after work around 2am and buy random foods to try and generally enjoy the lack of people around a big empty grocery store so late at night. But than they changed their hours and it's never been the same again- no more silly wholesome fun, just concrete floors and an "organic" section that's trying too hard to be Trader Joe's. read more

This store seriously has a training issue for it's staff. Also I think they are scamming customers with prices. I have their app and scanned a product that was on sale via digital download. I "clipped" the coupon and presented it to the cashier. She basically called me a liar. I showed her on my phone the coupon and that it was clipped. She took my phone and started typing something on it. I showed again the coupon and even told her to go look at the sign. She refused so I left everything and gave my hard earned money to a competitor. I hope the govt blocks their purchase of Safeway. Don't need more stores over charging. read more

I rarely write bad reviews but I've only had bad experiences here. The staff treats me like I'm a criminal trying to steal every time I use self check out. They are always looking over my shoulder at an uncomfortably close distance and watching my every move. I was stopped as I was paying because I had a canned cold brew in my hand that I was drinking and she said she didn't see me scan it to which I said that I brought it into the store to drink while I shopped and she didn't believe me and said "So if I look back at the surveillance footage I'll see that you brought this in" to which I said yes and she glared at me the rest of my time there. This has happened multiple times where I've been accused of stealing and it's honestly exhausting so I just don't go here anymore. read more

There are 3 King Soopers in Boulder and Ive been to them all. This one, in my opinion, is the best one. much larger and cleaner than the others, less crowded and ample parking. The aisles are wide enough for two shopping carts to pass each other and the store is well laid out in general. The one thing I always forget is that the city of boulder imposes a fee for shopping bags, so either you have to exit the store with all your items loose in your cart and look like a shoplifter or bring your own reusable bags. read more

This has been my favorite store since moving across town and into south Boulder 14 years ago. The organic options are extensive for a main stream store and the vibe is classy compared to the 30th St. store that to me feels like I am in some scrappy Denver grocery more than in a Boulder store. read more

Friendly and efficient staff. However, I am unhappy that King Soopers opens just enough full service check stands to ensure a long wait at those locations. The end game, of course, is to force people to use the self-service stations and get rid of all the cashiers. But my endgame in this scenario would be to do all of my shopping at Trader Joe's and Sprouts. So Soopers is going to do what they have to do, and I am going to do what I have to do. read more

It pains me to have to write a negative review for a place that I've loved since 1979 when my son was able to ride the penny horse ride. Sadly, I'm not going back because of the way the management is not enforcing the mandatory mask policy. The past 4-6 times my wife and I have been in the store we've had to ask customer service or a manager (really good guy Jared) to do something about customers defiantly refusing to wear a mask... even when asked! The final straw for my wife and I was the guy who responded to the clerk imploring him to wear his mask by smugly holding the mask in his hand as if to say "I have a mask". It reminds of when the signs on the trails had to be changed to "handheld" leash because of all the defiant idiots who put the leash on their dog just to say "see, he's on a leash"... but didn't really comply. Anyway, my wife and I have called corporate (and the local KS) a few times to lodge a complaint, but, few employees give a and just regurgitate corporate platitudes expressing their policy and saying thanks for calling. Someone from King Soopers Table Mesa needs to take a ride over to Whole Foods on Pearl ASAP and "benchmark" the right way to do things. Yes, they have the Boulder police enforcing the rule. You can't tell me that King Soopers can't afford to do the same. There's just too many elderly, and people with underlying health issues, who need to be looked out for. Until things resolve I'll just have to spend my ~$1,000 monthly food bill at WF. And, yes, that IS the real amoun 7/22 - even though wearing a mask is mandatory, managers are not confronting non-mask wearers at Table Mesa. Today's excuse regarding a morbidly obese customer driving an electric cart with no mask on is "well, she's mentally ill, comes here every week, and there's nothing we can do about it". So it's March 4 and I shop at this King Sooper is all the time. Great staff at Starbucks and all in all it's a nice store. However I don't know what's going on but I noticed today when I walked in the west entrance. It's very dirty and trashy. The Redbox machine glass is smashed out. The Redbox sign is laying on the ground. Trash on the ground Starbucks cups on the ground. The trashcan for public use the lid has been removed and taken off for quite some time it looks looks very unclean clean. When you walk inside the first entry where the carts are the floor was filthy like the wind had blown in all kinds of trash. When I went to the Starbucks it was fine but over in the corner where you go to get your cream and sugar there are trash cans and recycle cans there's trash all over the floor looks very dirty. I think now more than ever with the threat of influenza and the coronavirus they really need to step it up with cleanliness in looking sanitary. I will give them credit when you walk in they do have a purell wipes stand which is nice to have when you Arrive and when you leave. I hope their store manager takes a hard look at all these areas and they get the place looking cleaner right now it does not look very clean it looks dirty and giving the health of our society right now we really need to be more conscious and this includes where we shop for groceries. read more

Totally Love this store. It's my go to store for organic produce. The cute Starbucks in the corner is an icing on the cake during the winter months. You can have your coffee and sip it too and shop on. ok you can have that other grocery stores too.. so whats different? I like King soopers in general and this store in particular. I find the brands that I like for a price I am ready to pay. I find the staff is usually more helping here and the fact that I can go here in the middle of the night if I need some grocery is fantastic. Do I need to go buy grocery at 2 am? not usually.. but I like the option of being able to think about it.. and that I can go buy a toothpaste at 10 pm :P if I ran out of toothpaste ha! read more

I also used to love shopping at this King Soopers. I have lived in south Boulder for 15 years and felt lucky to have a mainstream store with great prices overall yet so many of my favorite gluten free, dairy free, and organic brands. The layout was intuitive and really easy to find everything. Now, like Elizabeth said in her review, the natural foods section has been absorbed by the traditional brand sections and so many of our favorite things are no longer available. Also, like she said, the layout is terrible, things aren't where you expect them to be like applesauce is not with packaged and canned fruit. It's frustrating and takes us 2-3x longer to shop than it used to. I still shop here out of convenience but now I curse King Soopers every time. And I have to also go to Alfalfa's and Vitamin Cottage to get the things I can no longer get at KS. Ugh. Annoying. read more

Worst king soopers in Colorado. Why is this K.S. gas the most expensive in Colorado. I was at a K.S. in Arvada and got gas for $1.469 then drove to Boulder where the gas is $2.09. How is the gas 16 miles away $.62 cents a gallon more. Or another gas station just 6 miles away is .49 less expensive. This is always not just this week, its consistently the top 10% most expensive gas in Colorado including the mountain towns. read more

I am incredibly disheartened by the limited action that was taken when a 19 year old girl was being harassed in your store by another costumer. Multiple workers were confronted for help. 1. In the produce section, girl told a young worker (male with dark hair) restocking the strawberries near the front of the store that this man was making her uncomfortable. Was specifically told "I can't do anything but maybe you could sneak around." (4:15pm) 2. In check out after girl reconnected with friend at store, girl told young female worker (bagging groceries at checkout 9 or 10 around 4:25pm brown hair). Was told she "can't do anything but I'm sorry that happened to you." 3. At the same time as instance 2, the girl's friend informed another employee working checkout, an older man (a checkout lane away from instance 2). Friend told employee about the fact that the girl had been followed and that the man following her has harassed other women who seemed to be shopping alone. Employee told the girl he would inform his manager but friend did not accept the limited action. She then insisted that it was against the law for the man following the girl to be in the store with out a mask on. They had the right to ask this man to leave or to deny him service but yet no action was taken. Me and my beloved friend are absolutely appalled by the stores response to a customer making multiple women uncomfortable. (Though, one young woman being uncomfortable should be enough). The pharmacy here is not good. They are supposed to open at 10 AM on Sundays. Today I arrived 10 min early. At 10:45 AM, the pharmacist still hadn't arrived. Pharmacy techs were there standing around waiting for the pharmacist to arrive. Other customers were coming by wondering what was happening. People left perturbed. It was so unprofessional. I felt sorry for the pharmacy techs. They had to discuss the delay with each customer. I eventually gave up and left. read more

Favorite grocery store of all time. I live within walking distance and I'm honestly sad to be moving, because this store always has the friendliest service and most welcoming atmosphere. They have also handled the COVID pandemic extremely well, offering free sanitizer and mandating masks. I am seriously disappointed in what the recent renovation has done to the character of this store. It isn't simply a rearrangement, but a sad change to what appears to be an attempt to turn it into a mega convenience store with more and more overly packaged and boxed produce and ethnic themed food stations. Worst of all the checkout process, which used to be the most convenient and efficient I'd ever experienced has been downgraded to the usual conveyer belt hassle in tiny aisles forcing do it yourself bagging. Clearly the idea is to force self checkout, with many more do it yourself stations where you have to struggle to figure out how to handle those lucky unboxed produce items. I nearly walked away. My previously favorite grocery store is no longer a pleasure to visit, and I am learning to shop elsewhere. read more

This location of king soopers is a gem! I do my best to purchase nutritious primarily organic food for my family while keeping the budget in check. I have yet to find another grocery store in the Boulder area that consistently meets my requirements as well as the south Boulder King Soopers. The produce section is very well stocked with a broad spectrum of fresh yumminess, including an excellent selection of organics. The"natural foods" section has a decent variety and a great bulk section. I find the staff to be very helpful and the prices are hard to beat. read more

Lost $40 in Self Serve Machine 9:33am today OK, it was my fault for being a dunderhead and leaving cash in the self-serve machine, but it was apparently turned in and then given to a claimant 10 minutes after I left. This claimant didn't have to show receipt, ID, or sign the log...very fishy. It smells of an inside job. I didn't expect the $$$ back, but after finding it was turned in, the fast-cash Karma is getting me and putting a dishonest shopper or employee in its sights. I used to love King Soopers! I would tell all my organic-eating friends "they have a great natural foods section! It's easy to shop there! Great prices!" BUT THAT iS NOT TRUE ANYMORE!! initially I thought it would just take time to get used to the remodel, but I'm still not used to it. And I still hate it. Now I have to comb through the store searching for the naturism food options. I often can't find what I'm looking for. It takes so much longer and is frustrating and annoying, so I end up shopping elsewhere.
