I've been remiss in getting a review in. This has become our go-to bakery for a few years now. Great pastries, cakes and cookies. They have an extensive food menu but we've not tried it. The display cases are filled with beautiful works of edible art! Located in The District there is both seating in the bakery as well as the atrium. With a coffee shop across the atrium, it's the perfect place to go to get a little work done and have coffee and delicious pastry. Highly recommend!

As long as we were in the mall and I saw that Button Rock had a direct door from the center seating area into their shop, we felt the need to try them too as we rarely get to Lafayette. This was a place I had heard about for some time and though we had just eaten some of our purchase from our first stop here, we thought we should sample some things to take home. We looked through the plentiful cases and saw many pretty things. So many were labelled "gluten free" we thought the entire bakery was so. Must gluten free baked goods are often too dry for me but my husband picked out an apricot tartar take home and share. I saw some adorable seasonal design marzipan, pumpkins and fall leaves. I love marzipan and since naturally gluten free as a an almond paste product, is naturally moist too. We bought the tart and a fall maple leaf. The marzipan is from a company out of state and a well known specialty company. We ate them at home later in the day and they were as expected. Very sweet but delicious. The crust on the tart( gluten free) was a bit dry for me but not my husband. I ate the marzipan leaf myself as it was a one bite size and my husband is not a fan of marzipan. We also will go back this winter when back in the area and try a brunch meal next. The menu looked promising.

Visited my favorite brewery in town today only to find out that I couldn't order the sandwich I was expecting with my drinks. New ownership decided to close at 5pm to save money. While commiserating with my wife over a pint, we witnessed the bartender having to explain to no fewer than eight customers within 15 minutes that the brewery was also caught unaware by the decision. There is such a thing as a local business ecosystem, and these new owners don't get it. Maybe they will learn, but catching everyone off guard is not building trust here.

Half of the Breakfast Burrito Bacon!

The breakfast burrito... The breakfast burrito... THE BREAKFAST BURRITO! Welp... again it's been a hot minute but I'm back to inform the public that the Breakfast Burrito (w/ Bacon) is still THE BEST IN TOWN and definitely a top contender in the entire Denver metro! The burrito comes with eggs, latke potatoes, cheddar cheese, a choice of protein: veggie, sausage, chorizo, bacon or tempeh chorizo. Plus, a side of red and green salsa to drizzle on your burrito as you eat it. Now, I've still only ever tried the bacon. It's just my cup of protein! I'd imagine any of the proteins would whip up into a killer burrito. Beyond the Breakfast Burritos, Button Rock Bakery has items for all meals: sandwiches, salads, sushi, cinnabons, cakes, cookies, soups, and so much more. Available for pick up, to go or eating there. They even have GF items. :D Service has always been kind and friendly, and there is great seating options inside or out. They are attached to this really neat indoor space with tables and lounge chairs that all the tenants of the complex share. If you're in the area, I'd suggest going in! They can be your one stop shop!

Decided to go for something special for my 2 year olds birthday. I met the cake artist that day and she was able to help me with my design of a beautiful cake. Like some reviews said, it's not the most moist cake I've had but we went for the decor this time. The flavor was good. I think if it were baked fresh, and chocolate flavor for the cake or would be a little more moist. Service was a bit slow but once you flag someone down, you shouldn't have too much problems.

Sausage breakfast burrito

Stumbled upon this while visiting another place in the District. Hadn't even planned on eating a late breakfast at that point. And then...Button Rock appeared. It's cute, fun atmosphere (though not really a fully sit-down place) with very helpful and fun staff to guide our choices. We shared a sausage breakfast burrito. Chock loaded and yummy -- don't see how either of us could have eaten a whole one. And... certainly not because we needed it... we had to have a key-lime pizzelle, and a peanut butter layered cookie bar that was out of this world. Good thing this place is about an hour away from us, because I'd have to go every day!

What bakery has more than Button Rock Bakery? Here you can get a meal, grab and go food, coffee/tea, desserts, greeting cards, cute gifts, and more! I am so impressed with this spot. It's a Jewish Deli meets bakery and they give back to the community via their giving tree for the holidays. I had an Oreo cookie bomb and it was delicious and I'm so ready to go back and try more!

Gluten free desserts

This bakery is awesome!!! We love that they offer different dietary options: vegan, dairy free, gluten free. We found this bakery in our search for gluten free desserts. They had SO many options! It was a dream for anyone who's gluten intolerant. My sister ordered a GF cream puff, GF sugar cookie, GF cosmic brownie, GF cookie dough! All are so so so good! I ordered the chocolate confection (happens to be GF). It was a chocolate lovers dream. Sooo good and rich. I loved this bakery and their staff! Cute atmosphere as well. I could come here a million times and still have new options to try.

Turkey Rachel - good amount of meat & toppings. Bread perfectly crispy and buttery

Lo and behold, my husband made me go get some donuts during the car show, and I'm in disbelief we found donuts I actually enjoyed and would return to get more! And I had more than one! This is the best donuts I have had in my LIFE (40+ YRS)

That one was a chain, this is clearly a local family operation made fresh with from scratch recipes. The frosting dips were amazing as, though a sweet frosting were clearly made with genuine fruit. They hade a display case on the counter with one each of many flavors. As we chose the flavors we wanted, they seeped back and picked up freshly made donuts and dipped each into a container of the flavor requested . They then placed them into a box, no preset number required and why I never had a traditional Asian flavor at the place on my trip. We took them out into the food hall combined seating to sample them. We could not wait. The sad part about doing that is that set into the small box, they had stuck together in a sticky pile. Persisting them dry a little before packaging does have some benefits after all. Im not sure how to effectively do this though as the place is tiny and the line constant. Maybe a small reserve of not popular flavors would be worthwhile for busy Saturday mornings . It a close call between perfection and almost. Same with my stars, 4.5 would be perfect. We drove out that way for specialty local business for hiking gear repair and never knew how close this place is. We use another business nearby so we can stop here again later this winter. The flavors we got were ube( sweet potato) and surprising bland as I love sweet potato " anything"," strawberry, passion fruit and vanilla. My husband loves vanilla anything and felt it was a tie for me of strawberry and passion fruit. Park in the mall parking where you see the sign for The District and go in that door next to Otis Arts and Crafts and walk across the communal seating to the door for Nok's. The friendliness can't be beat!
