Ayyyy man, so look…read more I'm in Colorado for the first time. Not really knowing what's what, where's where who's who. Just left Denver and now I'm in Lafayette. Y'all got a crazy city in Lafeyette first of all, I know the median income gotta be like $200,000 because some of these properties is ridiculous. Might just be moving out here next but that's a different story. So it's like 21:06 (9:06pm ) and my sweet tooth itchin. I'm like hol on baby imma feed you just gimme a second. So I'm on Apple Maps (google maps is for old people) and I'm searching everything. Juice, smoothies, ice cream. Closed. Closed. Closed. Closed. Damn. Sweet tooth starting to ache. I'm like gimme a sec I got you! So I see this cow-a-bunga place. Had like 7 reviews, people gassing it up and it's 5 minutes away from Winona Lake Reservoir where I just finished my Post Brewery Co. dinner (good but not good enough for a review, tbh the cheddar biscuits were dry and the brussel sprouts overcooked but ion like to be negative with my yelp so imma leave it at that. Just needed you to know how bad I needed some sweet stuff). Anyway, I'm with my friend and I'm like yo should we do it and she's like absolutely. So we go. So we walk in. Two people behind the counter, boy and a girl. Coulda been brother and sister, real good chemistry here and the vibes had me feeling part of the cowabunga family from the jump. Love it already. So we looking at the flavors and we're like damn... what do we even get. All types of crazy names. Some like funky donkey or something. Death by chocolate. Don't know what Pralines are but they had that too. So I'm trying all these flavors, some guy in the bowling alley next door told me to get the Bing Cherry (not Bingo cherry like I thought it said). I'm like aight, it's cool, but I'm the kinda guy who asks to take the cherry off the milkshake so I couldn't commit to scoops of this thing. And then I see it. Pink Cadillac. The name, so daring and luxurious. I asked, "what is this?" "Strawberry and Oreo." My favorite dairy combination. Y'all. When I tell you my life done changed. This is the best ice cream I've tasted in a while. I wanna go back, and I also never want to see it again so it can't ever ruin the memory of my first time having it. All the flavors are cool. But pink Cadillac?? This place should be a mandatory visit for anybody in Colorado. Really the United States. I would fly here specifically for this ice cream. And I'm lactose intolerant y'all, I can't just be putting anything in this stomach. Nah. This hit different. I would like to especially thank Sebastian and Kylie (I think her name was Kylie) for making this experience like no other. Y'all really out here changing peoples lives one scoop at a time. I know y'all scooped a bit extra on our cones. That thing was huge. Just know you're appreciated for that. When I have kids, I hope y'all can come cater their birthday parties. 0-18, every single year. No matter where I'm at. Thank you, Pink Cadillac. And thank you, Cow-a-bunga.

I dont know what to say. Not so great tasting ice cream. Skip this place. Service was good.read more

Lo and behold, my husband made me go get some donuts during the car show, and I'm in disbelief we found donuts I actually enjoyed and would return to get more! And I had more than one! I have recently been on a challenge to find mochi dough donuts nearby. This is the closest so far…read moreand so much better than what I had tried in another state while on a trip. That one was a chain, this is clearly a local family operation made fresh with from scratch recipes. The frosting dips were amazing as, though a sweet frosting were clearly made with genuine fruit. They hade a display case on the counter with one each of many flavors. As we chose the flavors we wanted, they seeped back and picked up freshly made donuts and dipped each into a container of the flavor requested . They then placed them into a box, no preset number required and why I never had a traditional Asian flavor at the place on my trip. We took them out into the food hall combined seating to sample them. We could not wait. The sad part about doing that is that set into the small box, they had stuck together in a sticky pile. Persisting them dry a little before packaging does have some benefits after all. Im not sure how to effectively do this though as the place is tiny and the line constant. Maybe a small reserve of not popular flavors would be worthwhile for busy Saturday mornings . It a close call between perfection and almost. Same with my stars, 4.5 would be perfect. We drove out that way for specialty local business for hiking gear repair and never knew how close this place is. We use another business nearby so we can stop here again later this winter. The flavors we got were ube( sweet potato) and surprising bland as I love sweet potato " anything"," strawberry, passion fruit and vanilla. My husband loves vanilla anything and felt it was a tie for me of strawberry and passion fruit. Park in the mall parking where you see the sign for The District and go in that door next to Otis Arts and Crafts and walk across the communal seating to the door for Nok's. The friendliness can't be beat!
