French Cruller Donut

These donuts are superb! Nicole was so hospitable and answered all our questions and even offered us a sample because it was our first time. We will be back!

Vanilla bean, strawberry, cinnamon sugar, blueberry and maple donuts

Inside the District mall is a wonderfully special donut shop. We were in the area and came across it. Oh my, it's a lovely, very small, donut shop that creates masterpieces of donutry. They offer cruller and mochi donuts as well. And they have amazing fruit toppings that they dip the donuts in while you wait. We had to try several: a cinnamon, maple, strawberry cruller, blueberry and vanilla mochi donuts. It must be a haven for those gluten-intolerant. We aren't... though I'd still choose the mochi donuts as well as the crullers anytime! As we stood in a short line, it was fun to interact with those that were obvious regular customers. Everybody was so excited to see what flavors were offered that day. Can't wait to go back to see what they'll be offering!

I really wanted a donut one day, and as someone with a gluten intolerance, gf donuts are not as common as one would hope. Noks donuts made my day simply by existing, and Nok is so lovely which was the cherry on top. As we were waiting in line two people came in that seemed to know Nok and had a connection with her. There was a wide selection of gf mochi donuts. I got a chocolate sprinkle one and a mango passion fruit one. Both were amazing, with fluffy texture, balanced taste, and delicious frosting. There were also normal (with gluten) donuts which I didn't try but my partner did, and those were great as well. I fully recommend coming here gf or not.

On another donut adventure and decided to stop here and treat myself on Mother's Day. What a cute hidden little gem inside The District. As you can see, it is quite busy. The little donut shop is an order and carry out. You can see the workers making the donuts fresh. The staff was helpful and friendly. I was so bummed arriving there a little late (10 am) and their crullers were all out. We ended up getting a dozen assorted mochi donuts and a half dozen assorted cake donuts. Oh my, oh my, they look so delicious!!! So yummy in my tummy time! Lol I love the fact that the donuts are fresh! I mean look at how vibrant the colors of the flavors are. The colors of the flavors just makes your mouth water. I tried a vanilla bean cake donut, a pineapple mochi donut, and a matcha mochi donut. MMMM!!! So SCRUMPTIOUS! The flavors are on point. Those 3 donuts was just to start my morning before work. Lol I was a very happy mother. I can't wait to try the rest this week! If you're looking for fresh and delicious donuts, swing by on your donut adventure and check this place out. I will be coming back to see if I can try to get my hands on some of their crullers next time.

Cake vs. Mochi... our taste test concluded in a tie! They are all just too darn tasty :D

BEST DONUTS, maybe ever. The woman who runs this shop is an absolute delight! She's been there every time I walk in -- greeting me with such infectious cheer. You can tell she takes great pleasure in serving her donuts to the community. My favorite thing is that she always has a new flavor for us to try! Usually, they are a fruit flavor that I would have never thought to order for a donut. They are punchy, bright and send the happiest endorphins to your brain. These may include raspberry (the deep pink donut below), lemon-blueberry, etc. The traditional flavors are just as magical, too. Highly recommend trying her maple or strawberry! Two of my all time favorites. You'll have the option between two styles of donuts: her classic cake or mochi. I'd say order one of each, step outside into the open seating area, have a taste test & decide what one is your favorite, then go grab another to go! I'll say it again... BEST DONUTS, maybe ever.

Raspberry, green tea mochi, vanilla bean mochi, mango passion fruit, and sweet potato!

Hands down one of the best donut shops I've been in! The owner is so kind and personable and without even asking let us try multiple donuts! And man were they worth it you can tell she really puts the effort of quality ingredients, like fresh fruit and chocolate tastes into any donut whether regular, mochi, or (the surprisingly divine) sweet potato. Give this gem a try!

I'm almost hesitant to write this review because I don't want this place to be packed but I owe it to the amazing owners and to the other donut lovers out there. This place is a hidden gem. They make everything in house and use the highest quality ingredients. This results in super light and fluffy donuts with flavors that actually taste like their real flavor. The owner was patient with me while I asked what each donut was and even let me try one while I was deciding. She gave me her recommendations and even threw in her favorite donut (raspberry) for free. The donuts do cost a bit more than usual but you're paying for quality and freshness. It's hard to pick a favorite flavor but I will say the Raspberry, Lemon, and Blue Lemon were out of this world. I will say I'm a little biased because my two favorite types of donuts are cake and crullers and that's all they do. If you're like me you need to stop in because their glazed cruller is the best I've ever had.

This place is a small little shop in a mall with local businesses. Nok's is a must stop for donuts and a memorable experience with the sweetest owner. I had my own Yelp donut tasting with a couple of friends while visiting the area. The gluten-free mochi donut was the best I ever has, so crispy on the outside and moist on inside. We tried a mochi and French Cruller, which was the same texture and experience.....so good!!!! I also bought a strawberry, French vanilla, maple, matcha (very matcha like if you enjoy like i do), lemon and last mochi one for me and my friends. Thank you Nok for the tasting experience

Raspberry Donut! So good!

Nok's is truly a great place for everyone! The donuts are amazing, the staff is incredibly nice, and the mall it's in is a nice hang out. This is a great place for families, someone at Otis Coffee who's looking for a nice treat to accompany that latte, or a date spot! Seriously, you have to try this place. My favorite part of Nok's is the people that work there. They are super nice and welcoming! My favorite part about the donuts is they don't mess with my digestive system or make me feel tired later. They use good ingredients and most likely you'll never have had a donut like you get at Nok's.

Vegan chocolate, chocolate, raspberry, and maybe a cake glazed.

Still amazing!! I'm not a vegan, but the vegan chocolate is the best. So delicious and the kindest service.

Awesome donuts! We got a dozen and although they are pricey compared to your average donuts they are totally worth it. The fruit flavors are amazing and super punchy. I didn't think I'd like the lime flavor because I'm not a huge fan of like flavor in food but it was awesome. The matcha one was also great. The donuts are light and not dense. Every flavor was awesome. Service was also good and the store is clean. It was confusing to find because I didn't realize it was in a building. Went on a Sunday morning not too late and they were already running out of some flavors. Highly recommend!

Donuts

My mind is blown!!! These donuts are beyond words!! The frosting is made from real ingredients they're so delicious and light feeling when you eat them! How can I ever eat a regular donut again!? They're the best donuts I've ever had.

Top: chocolate, strawberry, coconut Bottom: matcha, espresso, pineapple (I think)

This place is dangerous. In the best way possible. I have not been gluten free for a while, and I thought it would be very hard because I love donuts so much. Nok's makes it easy. All their flavors are delicious and when we go we always get 6 because it is so hard not to. Everyone there is wonderful and so inviting and patient when we can't decide which 6 we want. My favorite flavor is the Matcha and my boyfriend's is the chocolate. Sometimes we will split our two and eat them together and they're amazing. They are honestly some of the best donuts ever. They are so fluffy and delicious and the flavors are amazing. We have to limit ourselves to only going to Nok's once a month (we would go every day tbh). Definitely check them out! We haven't tried the regular (non gf) donuts but I'm sure they're amazing!

Gluten free mochi donut in the front; gluten free & dairy free donut in the back. Both delicious.

Did not like the donuts. Glazes were good, but donuts weren't what we expected. Bought 6, but only ate 3.

So, we planned a secular wedding on a Friday evening. Three days before the wedding, Great Aunt Ester found out that we were not having any religious elements to our wedding ceremony and were not even doing Kiddush and Hamotzi at our Friday night wedding. She was scandalized and my mom spent the whole day fielding disapproving calls from my relatives. Two days before the wedding, my mom called and said that she understood why we don't want to have a religious ceremony, but could we at least observe Shabbat. I relented, which meant that I had to figure out how to come up with enough challah for 130 wedding guests in two days. I called Vulcan Mine Bakery. The owner, Gregor, was super amazing in every way. He not only made the 20lbs of challah that we needed with absolutely no notice, but he was able to use my grandmother's fancy challah recipe that she used to make for special occasions. Gregor even volunteered to deliver the challah to our venue on the day of the wedding. Vulcan Mine Bakery saved the day. Also, their herb boule is amazing.

Don't get me wrong, the donuts are delicious and the staff/service are very friendly and I definitely recommend. them very highly. My niece found this place a few years ago when she and her family visited and from then on, it has been my goto place as most other donut shops don't have very good donut holes (either they are cake or too doughy). This place gets it right with fluffy dough and light icing. Plus I really like their chocolate cake donuts as well as the variety of donuts. Now for the not so good - take this with a grain of salt as this is more me than the shop. They are a small business with the goal of selling out daily and thus if you don't go early enough - say before 11, they may be out of your favorite donuts - remember my note of them being really good? This has happened more than a few times so if you don't want to miss out, make sure to pick them up earlier than I normally do.

A friend recommended Acreage, so after a long day in Boulder, hiking and walking around town, we stopped by on a Saturday evening. And honestly, it lived up to the hype and then some. The setting is what really makes this place special. It was busy with what felt like a true local crowd--families, kids, groups of friends--all hanging out. There's a huge outdoor area with picnic table-style seating, plus some indoor space, but the real star is the view. The mountain backdrop is unreal, and the sunset we caught that night was one of those "okay, we could live here" moments. They do take reservations, and I'd highly recommend making one if you're going on a weekend. We loved it so much that we've been back twice since, once while apartment hunting and again after we moved, when we brought family to show them one of the spots that sold us on Denver. For a cider-focused spot, the food seriously overdelivered. The soft pretzels are next level--three per order and perfect for sharing. Everyone gets their own and is happy. The roasted baby carrots were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time. The Jalapeño Caesar with added chicken is really solid, and the winter salad (also with chicken) was a huge portion and great if you want something a bit lighter/greener. The Lafayette cheesesteak sandwich, though, has been the standout for me--top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and this one absolutely delivered. There are still a few things on the menu I'm looking forward to trying next time. And of course, the cider. I'm not a big beer guy and neither is my girlfriend, so this place is perfect if you're looking for an alternative. I'd definitely recommend doing a flight. They've got a wide range--from fruitier options like blueberry and apricot (crowd favorites) to drier ciders, which I tend to prefer. They also rotate some unique options--recently we tried a salted cucumber cider that was great and quite refreshing. My personal favorite is the Banjo series, which is aged in bourbon barrels. It has a subtle bourbon flavor that makes it super unique and really enjoyable. All in all, Acreage is more than just a cider spot--it's an experience. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the surprisingly great food and drinks, it's become one of our go-to places!
