We've been coming to Acreage since it opened, and it's still one of our favorite places to visit whenever we're in the area. We stopped by recently and, even in the middle of the afternoon, the place was bustling. We enjoyed a couple of ciders, including the passion fruit and peach varieties. We also appreciate that they offer gluten-free options, though we'd love to see a few more vegan choices on the menu. Our son enjoyed his kids' meal and, as always, had a great time playing in the outdoor playground. We encountered a few issues at the end of our visit. My drink was snatched away before I'd finished it! And when it was time to pay, our server handed over the payment device already set to the tipping screen, so I didn't have the opportunity to review an itemized bill first. It wasn't until I received the customer copy of the receipt afterward that I noticed an "operations fee" had been added to the total. I would appreciate a bit more transparency around this charge and a chance to review the full bill before completing payment. read more

I have been to Acreage twice and unfortunately cannot recommend it. I absolutely love stem cider and was excited to enjoy their full offerings on tap. But both times, I have left disappointed. The most recent visit, I brought friends from out of town so I made a deck reservation. We were sat at a table that was in uninterrupted, direct sunlight. We had to ask for them to lower the shade which meant we couldn't enjoy the view but spared us from being sunburned and overheated. My friends split a flight and one of the flavors was wrong. Then when our food arrived, one of their bison burgers was extremely overcooked (despite the waiter asking them how they wanted it cooked). My friend sent the burger back and got attitude from the waiter. When we got the bill, they charged us for the first overcooked burger. We only noticed because we happened to look at the email receipt. They fixed it when we brought it up, but it was really frustrating after the experience we had. Additionally, we didn't realize there was a 4% service charge. Overall, this place is just not worth the drive and price. For $60/person for food and drinks, it's not worth it for such an underwhelming experience. read more

Beautiful beautiful outdoor space for dinning! I don't think I've dined at a place like this before. A great place for big groups, & families with children because they had a playground and open space! The menu has many many options to choose from and they have a great N/A selection. Our food was delicious for the most part: the bison shoulder was excellent, the Peri-Peri chicken was OK (not memorable), the brussel sprouts were good and cilantro-lime rice was terrible-lacked salt and flavor. Our server, McKenna was meh, seemed annoyed when asked a question or for water refill. Rarely checked in at our table. We didn't like her vibes. All the stars come from the cider and the views/vibes and definitely not the food! Absolutely love all the outdoor space, especially excellent with small children since there's a playground (though would kill for some shade). The cider is obviously excellent and they have a great selection, love that you can build your own flight to try different things. The food was very underwhelming, especially for the price. Acreage by Stem Ciders ended up being one of the places that helped us fall in love with Denver. My girlfriend and I first visited while we were in town trying to decide if we wanted to move here. A friend recommended Acreage, so after a long day in Boulder, hiking and walking around town, we stopped by on a Saturday evening. And honestly, it lived up to the hype and then some. The setting is what really makes this place special. It was busy with what felt like a true local crowd--families, kids, groups of friends--all hanging out. There's a huge outdoor area with picnic table-style seating, plus some indoor space, but the real star is the view. The mountain backdrop is unreal, and the sunset we caught that night was one of those "okay, we could live here" moments. They do take reservations, and I'd highly recommend making one if you're going on a weekend. We loved it so much that we've been back twice since, once while apartment hunting and again after we moved, when we brought family to show them one of the spots that sold us on Denver. For a cider-focused spot, the food seriously overdelivered. The soft pretzels are next level--three per order and perfect for sharing. Everyone gets their own and is happy. The roasted baby carrots were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time. The Jalapeño Caesar with added chicken is really solid, and the winter salad (also with chicken) was a huge portion and great if you want something a bit lighter/greener. The Lafayette cheesesteak sandwich, though, has been the standout for me--top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich and this one absolutely delivered. There are still a few things on the menu I'm looking forward to trying next time. And of course, the cider. I'm not a big beer guy and neither is my girlfriend, so this place is perfect if you're looking for an alternative. I'd definitely recommend doing a flight. They've got a wide range--from fruitier options like blueberry and apricot (crowd favorites) to drier ciders, which I tend to prefer. They also rotate some unique options--recently we tried a salted cucumber cider that was great and quite refreshing. My personal favorite is the Banjo series, which is aged in bourbon barrels. It has a subtle bourbon flavor that makes it super unique and really enjoyable. All in all, Acreage is more than just a cider spot--it's an experience. Between the views, the atmosphere, and the surprisingly great food and drinks, it's become one of our go-to places! read more

Made a born day reservation here for 4 and wised it weren't rainy and cold. The views here, despite the dark clouds, were lovely. So much outdoor space that we will definitely make the drive back on a cool, sunny day. Acreage is Stem's attached restaurant at their cider location. What a treat. We sat at a massive table that could easily seat a party of 10. Maybe they use these as community tables when they're busy. Either way, it was quite spacious! We ordered ciders and the parents ordered one of their flights to taste some of their traditional ciders. I immediately set down the Blueberry Lime. In love. With ciders, is there really ever a bad one? I think not, lol. The food was amazing as well. It looked scrumptious - presentation was fabulous. Cooked to order but we didn't wait too long. We tried their cactus appetizer which reminded me of grilled onions - tasty. Burgers were on the menu for us. And I loved their salad. So very fresh. Stem uses local sources for their fresh ingredients and it really makes all the difference. My partner had the chicken fried cheeseburger and would have liked more flavor. The breading became soft fast and didn't stand a chance with the gravy, making it a soggy mess. My Fuego, on the other hand, was great (GF CRISPY CHICKEN, FUEGO PICKLES, JALAPENO SLAW, HABANERO JACK, SPICY AIOLI). It was huge but packed well. Our servers were great and checked on us often. This has been on my list for a long time, and I finally made it to Acreage -- and wow, it was worth the wait. I've always loved Stem Ciders, but getting to drink them alongside great food and those incredible sunset views made it a perfect experience. We started with the new Harvest Peach cider, which tasted like peach and fall in a glass -- crisp, lush, and perfectly balanced. The Banjo (aged in Stranahan's whiskey barrels) was another standout, and the Chai-der might be one of the best fall-inspired drinks I've ever had, with notes of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and black tea. The Chile Guava cider, though, officially became my favorite cider of all time. For food, we ordered the pimento cheese (we're from Texas, so it's a must), the pretzels with Howdy beer cheese, and the Acreage Burger -- all fantastic. The burger was a nice reminder of how good a classic, non-smashed burger can be. Between the drinks, the food, and the views, this was a 10/10 experience. I'll definitely be back. read more

Great spot to grab drinks with beautiful mountain views! The first time I came here I was surprised with how open and family friendly it was. There were plenty of ways to keep kids entertained while adults were grabbing drinks and enjoying the mountains. Beautiful views of the Flatirons. I had the bratwurst as a snack, and thought it was pretty good. When you've got good weather, views, and drinks are flowing, it's tough to find something to complain about. The cider was good, I tried the house and the peach. The view is always amazing. The cider was great. The waiter was friendly. But the Power Bowl was lacking. I referenced a picture of it in yelp from 10 months ago and it was way bigger. This time was maybe half the cauliflower than that one, a quarter of an avocado versus the obvious whole one in that picture, mostly spinach and barely any quinoa even though that is the named first ingredient. The quinoa was more like a sprinkling of a condiment. Weird. The salmon on top was delicious. And the cranberry apple compote and dressing were delicious too. But need way more consistency with quantities of ingredients. Without the salmon would have been almost nothingness and so not worth $14.95. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch break at Acreage, taking full advantage of the beautiful weather by opting for a seat on the spacious outdoor patio. The sunshine and fresh air made for the perfect setting, and although it was a weekday, the place had a pleasant buzz--professionals chatting over work lunches and meetings, families with children and dogs soaking up the sunshine, and plenty of others clearly taking a moment to unwind. The wind certainly made its presence known, prompting us to keep a firm grip on our cups and menus, but even that couldn't detract from the breathtaking views of the Flatirons and Front Range stretching out before us. That panoramic scenery alone is worth the visit. Our server greeted us warmly and quickly made us feel at home, sharing the day's specials, including a Passionfruit Mimosa Cider that immediately piqued our interest. When we asked if we could sample it before committing, she smiled and said "of course," returning in no time with a tasting pour for each of us. One sip was all it took--crisp, slightly tart, and just the right amount of sweet. It instantly became a new favorite. The harder decision was narrowing down our food order from their enticing menu. After some delicious deliberation, we settled on the Acreage frites with cider aioli, the Thai shrimp, and the Shoyu pork belly. Not long after, our waitress reappeared with our plates--just in time, as our appetites had grown with anticipation. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared, but the standout by far was the Shoyu pork belly. Perfectly glazed and tender, it was complemented beautifully by the tangy cabbage slaw, fragrant cilantro-lime rice, and a creamy ginger aioli that brought it all together. We finished the meal with a little sweet and decided on the Fresh Cider Doughnuts served with homemade strawberry jam, with a little dusting of powdered sugar, this was the perfect ending to an amazing meal! This wasn't my first visit to Acreage, and it certainly won't be the last. A little confusing because it's Acreage by Stem Ciders, so when you check in you can check into both, for Yelp that is. The food here is good. I got the Lafayette Cheese Steak, and it was pretty tasty. The horseradish aioli was so good, and a perfect touch for the sandwich. However, the bread was soggy due to the moisture of the toppings. This could possibly be remedied by toasting the bread more, and adding the aioli as a spread on the bread. Next time I will also ask if they could use provolone instead of swiss. Still super tasty. Girlfriend got a burger and let me have a bite, it too was good. The salads that we got for our sides, were great, and the drinks provided by Stem Ciders are great too. We went to acreage because the concept is so cool. It's a MASSIVE property with ciders and eatery. There's ample indoors and outdoor seating. It's family friendly with a whole playground. It's honestly insane how well thought out the layout and inclusiveness is for this place. We had some trouble getting a place to sit at as the indoor outdoor isn't clear on food ordering rules. We had to wait outside for a table inside.... To order food. You also cannot get glass if outside, so you can't order a flight unless inside. This was a bit off putting. Once we got past that small hiccup. It was smooth sailing. The ciders weren't as good as the ones from the stem in rino, weird, but the food was good. The food was average in offering and flavor but ample portion for sharing. Service the entire time was lacking. They were weird about us being there the whole entire time. We felt very unwelcome, even though there were four of us. Overall, it's a come here after Sunday service kind of vibe and the employees need to be trained in better service. Party of four. Ordered drinks, appetizers and meals for lunch. Service seemed fine until we received our meals. Two of us ordered their stew for St Patrick's Day. I immediately saw a hair in mine. When I asked if they could get me a new bowl, it didn't seem like it would be a problem. I waited and waited. The other three in our party ate their food. Someone came out and said the soups would be covered. I was surprised they offered to pay for my daughter's soup. I finally received my soup. I guess they had to make a new batch. It then made sense why both soups would be covered since a hair was in the other batch. Our waitress, Riley, seemed to go MIA. Other waitstaff was helping our table. She finally came out with our bill. We paid, gave a nice tip, and asked for a copy of the receipt. We noticed we were charged for three soups and only received two free. Their explanation was that I was given two bowls and they waived those charges. Why would I be charged for two bowls? So strange. Riley spoke to the manager and she told us that the manager never said that, but she waived the cost for my daughter's soup too. She made sure she knew we were wrong. My husband spoke to the manager on our way out and she was just as pissy. He tried to explain what happened and she said, "We took care of it, didn't we? Good bye ". Whenever he would try to say anything else, she would just say, "Thank you. Good bye." The manager and staff were flat out rude. Just apologize and say "we hope we made it right for you. We had a reservation at 1:15pm, we got there early and they said they'd text us when our table was ready. At 1:12pm I went in to check in again, incase my husband forgot to say our name or something (and because there were 4 empty tables). I also asked if we could get a shaded table since all the tables that were open were in the shade. And I was told no because there was a big party coming in and taking those tables... I was a bit confused because there were multiple tables empty next to each other but whatever, and walked back outside to wait. It said dog friendly but there was ONE other dog when we first got there who lunged at our dog as we went to the only shade they had apart from the patio area. I was actually nervous to bring our dog bc it said "only well behaved dogs allowed" and she's behaved but she's not a super star and ALL the dogs that were there as we were having our meals were not at all well behaved. We got seated 10 minutes late ... at.... The table that's been open since we got there that was shaded... so that was very weird. And then next to us (so the other big party table) they sat a two top. So did the host just completely lie? Just a super weird experience. Our servers in the other hand - amazing. They brought us a free flight and we were chatting with both the servers that covered our section (one was training) - they were so cool and super chill! Gave great recommendations on food as well. The pork belly shareable was AMAZING, we got two. The whipped feta and the Brussels were also incredible. I started with the cider flight. If the salted cucumber cider is still available, I would 1000% recommend that. The Lavender was also a favorite. Their hard peach tea comes with ice if it's a very hot day. This is a very kid friendly spot, there was so many kids out and about and lawn games. Some kids brought soccer balls etc. but be mindful there is not a lot of shade so either get there early to get a shaded spot on the lawn or accept that you may not get shade. I would also highly recommend making a reservation because the wait time without one was over an hour on a Saturday at about lunch time. All in all - it was a great spot, service and food made up for the odd encounter with the hostess and aggressive dog interaction at the start. This was such a perfect place to enjoy an evening with a cold drink and some food after a long day of meetings on a recent business trip to Denver. We did not have reservations, so we put our name on the list and grabbed a drink at the bar before heading outside to enjoy the sunset in the Adirondack chairs while enjoying music and happy people around us. There were lots of tables outside, but after quite a long wait, we took what came open inside - it seemed clear that most of the people who had outside tables did not leave until after sunset was over even if they were done eating well before that, so something to keep in mind in the summer. Our server, Mar, was amazing and the best part of the evening. She took really good care of us and spent time as we asked questions and made our choices from the menu. I ended up totally loving the Power Bowl that she recommended to me. We also snagged some super cute merchandise before we left from the sale table. A great night and I hope to come back! read more

The view here is incredible. You must go. It is so good that even if the service, food, and drinks were awful, it would still warrant five stars. Luckily for me, they were also great and this rates as one of my new favorite restaurants. But is it a restaurant? I don't really know. Yes, it serves food and you purchase it. However, this feels like more of a friend's backyard party. A friend with copious amounts of cash who can buy a multi-million dollar view. I don't actually have any friends like that but I am open if you are one of those people. I am pretty cool and can talk to anyone about pretty much anything. That doesn't have anything to do with this review so back to what matters. The view here. My word. Hell yeah. Freakin awesome. It is an incredible view of the Rockies that drew me in. I couldn't pay attention to anything else. Heck, the weather kicked up and people's food and drinks were blowing away. Did I care? Nope. The view had me in a trance. No pictures can do it justice. The weather did prevent me from going sit in the Adirondack chairs they had which is a bummer. The view from the picnic table was pretty darn great though. The food was solid. Picture upscale bar food. My Reuben was very good and the poutine was also great. The cider was unique but I found a few that I enjoyed. I would have preferred a bourbon or an IPA but hey, the view mad me forget all that. Despite the crazy weather, the service was also great. Will I be back? I sure hope so. We visited Acreage on July 4th for our 11th anniversary. We've been visiting the area for the last month and Acreage was highly suggested. A made a mistake by not making a reservation but our wait was only 30 minutes or so. Not bad for a holiday. Parking was easy enough with parking available on the road and in their parking lot. I love their setup outside with tons of space. The playground is a nice addition since we had our kid with us. There is also yard games and tons of outdoor seating. We did order some hard mango lemonades that were tasty. But it wasn't a drinking date for us. The food was pretty good. My wife ordered a burger and I ordered a bratwurst. Both were good albeit slightly overpriced. Actually I'd say most items are slightly overpriced. Service was the only negative. Staff was friendly but we often felt like an after thought. As others have said, the cider , ambiance and views are amazing but everything else falls flat. The service this past time around was disappointing. We had a new server so I wasn't expecting the service to be perfect but damn, it was painful. It took about 30 minutes just to order drinks alone then we had another server take our order and help us sporadically throughout the rest of the visit. We finally ordered food, waited and got it except one dish. When we told her we were missing one they seemed confused but didn't offer a solution (our hero food runner came out right as we were saying that). So we noshed, the meal I got was lackluster....I thought it was a simple bratwurst but it was smothered in mustard and sauerkraut (thought it was going to be on the side). It just made me sad and longing for something more. Cherry on the sad sundae was that I felt our new server actively avoided us even though we were giving them eyes for attention!
