The ice wine and crème brûlée makes a great pairing

I don't do many 5 star reviews but Vinca was very deserving. I waited for our second visit before submitting a review just to ensure that our first visit wasn't an anomaly. After our 2nd visit I can honestly say this has been one of our favorite establishments after moving to Colorado. Very convenient location, lots of parking, great wine list, and amazing food..what more can you ask for..oh yeah the service is fantastic. On this visit my wife ordered with their charcuterie board which she loves. I decided to try their Ribeye Steak. I usually hesitate ordering steak because I don't want to be disappointed. Vinca's ribeye was one of the best steaks I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Cooked a perfect medium rare, it was seasoned right and the texture was almost melt in your mouth. We ended our meal with a glass of their ice wine paired with a delicious crème brûlée. Fantastic evening, reasonable prices, great wine list, amazing food, and top notch service!

A convenient spot if you are in the Broomfield area. The food is good quality and value and there is a large wine selection. To find a better option would require going to Denver or Boulder. It's never been overly crowded when I've dined here, and even with a several couples, it's still quiet and the service has always been very good. Overall, Vinca is a good spot for a casual date or if you are looking for a quiet spot for a glass of wine at the end of a long day.

I was impressed with their salads and their wine list. The scallops were tasty, but the portion size was on the smaller side. Strudel was decent.

I love everything about this restaurant. 1st they have an outrageous HH the kind that you leave totally stuffed. I'm greedy so I ordered one of everything lol. The staff members are amazing, they are knowledgeable and attentive! Ok now look at the pics of the inside its beautiful, I'm so glad we came here it was a wonderful dining experience

Enjoyed a great Groundhogs Day dinner special featuring two wonderful plates, duck confit or venison ragout, a glass of wine or beer for $55. Expected small plates for the price, but pleasantly surprised by the ample and tasty meals. Our server Brynne, was attentive and friendly which always makes for nice dinner experience. After we finished our meals, we had to try the desserts and dived into an apple strudel and a chocolate mousse. Both heavenly! Vinca has a huge wine list and features a European dinner menu. Stop in when you are in Broomfield.

Some of these bad reviews are odd. I thought Vinca was quite good. Wine was excellent, staff super friendly. And food pretty damn good. I was pleasantly surprised because I indented to go to the steakhouse next door but they were filled and a little aloof. So I gave this spot a chance. Had the split pea soup which was delightful. Not sure what the point of the ham shreds were but the soup and bacon bits were delicious. For my main I got the Beef Bourguignon. Really good and hearty. I'm no expert on Beef Bourguignon but it tasted good to me. Recommend this nice spot!

Absolutely perfect dinner! We had an excellent Pinot Noir from my home state/region, mussels as the appetizer, and the fish of the day! Tonight was halibut! Every flavor was perfect- smooth and creamy! The owner talked with us throughout the dinner, making us feel appreciated! We will be back!

Such a beautiful spot with an amazing wine selection and delicious food. Killer food and friendly staff. What's not to love!

Gnocchi Portobello, sauce and mushrooms were good but the gnocchi very hard, too bad!
    Veronique C.

3 1/2 stars Service is very friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant, but the food a little disappointing, especially considering the price. My gnocchi was very hard, which is too bad because the sauce and mushrooms were delicious, for $22, the chef should know how to cook those. A few of my friends were also underwhelmed with their plates, once again considering most entrees are close to $30. Note that they have a separate room for small groups.

I am going to try and unpack as succinctly as possible. We live in Denver and our friends live in Longmont so Broomfield is a half way meeting point. Our friends selected this restaurant. As I say in all my reviews, eating is an experience so everything matters. I have to believe this place was some casual dining prior to Vinca. There are tile floors with a large granite counter that serves no purpose. Certainly not the ambience of fine dining to represent the prices on the menu. I was confused on their brand. Are we Eastern European, Italian, fusion? Are they fine dining or casual? This is a real identity crisis here. I would absolutely skip cocktails- do not be fooled, there is an art to craft a good cocktail. Vinca carries high end spirits, but the mixology is not there. I seriously had the worst gin dirty martini and my friend's cocktails were no better. The wine list is impressive if you want to spend $$$. But again the dichotomy between the menu, atmosphere and wine/alcohol list is so disjointed. I honestly do not know how they make money. There is complimentary bread which I think may be focaccia. My friends tell me it was good. The server was exceptional- informative, kind and responsive. I will say the service was slow, but since we had some catching I to do that worked in our favor. The food was mediocre at best. I can and will go into detail, but honestly I think they would do best to stick to Eastern European - just my opinion. Burrata- served with arugula and tomatoes. Tomatoes are out of season in November so maybe do a tomato jam or something in season. Vienna Schnitzel- this was veal which is a big deal, but the breading was falling off and in a big pile of mashed potatoes. Not upscale Fettuccine bolognese- OMG this was outright terrible. I am Italian and took offense, but my Colorado friend even said this is not bolognese. No flavor and like glue. We ordered the apple strudel which was unremarkable- the apples tasted as if they were freeze burned and no taste. Terrible There is an identity problem with this restaurant and low quality food. Two stars may be too generous.

After sitting down, about 10 minutes went by without anyone acknowledging me. I eventually had to wave someone down just to ask if I could get a drink, and the response was that they hadn't seen me there. Later, when my drink was empty, I had to wave someone down again to order another. When my friend and I decided we wanted appetizers, we once again had to flag someone down to place the order. This was on a Tuesday night and there were only about 6-7 people sitting at the bar, which is a pretty slow night for them. To be fair, once we did receive our drinks and appetizers, everything was excellent as usual. However, the service throughout the night felt inattentive. I stayed from about 6 PM until 8:15 PM, so it wasn't a quick stop, it was a full evening, and the lack of attentiveness stood out. I still enjoy this place and the food and drinks are great, but on a slower night the service really should be more attentive. Every customer deserves to feel acknowledged and taken care of.

They did separate checks for us and did a group gratuity that was most definitely deserved by their staff. We ordered two of their large Combination Boards for the group. These were beautifully put together. Others in our group tried some of the other appetizers. I was told the cheese balls with crackers and the meatballs were tasty. They provided a varied menu with incredibly unique and delicious drinks with an upscale yet cozy vibe inside. However our last visit was anything but. Supposedly they've made the decision to drop the entire "old menu" as the bartender called it in favor for an uninspired and honestly boring Christmas menu with drinks that weren't even remotely on the level of their previous offerings. Yet the prices were actually higher than their standards. This current menu feels like something you'd pay $11 for at a dive or chain restaurant. After a relatively long wait for service, we ordered 3 drinks, having to repeat ourselves multiple times to the hostess that didn't seem to have any clue of what their drinks were called. Of the 3, none of them included the garnishes that were outlined in the menu, and one drink was completely wrong. We were allowed to keep it and had it replaced at no cost at least, but even the replacement did not have the correct garnish per the menu.
