Eggs Benedict
Steven H.

The Meritage is the restaurant on the ground floor of the Omni hotel. The dining area is nice and spacious, not to mention relatively quiet since there was not really many people there. It has an upscale feel to it overall I stopped in for breakfast before work one morning. I ordered a Benedict which came with a side of breakfast potatoes. The Benedict was pretty traditional on a English muffin, Canadian bacon w/ hollandaise. It was on-par with a suitable Benedict. It met the mark for what I expected from a Benedict. The breakfast potato were just OK, they were fine, but I wouldn't call them tasty. In all, this was convenient to stop and eat if you are staying at the hotel and do not have time to go elsewhere.

The Meritage breakfast buffet was the best part of our stay at the Omni Hotel! My colleagues and I frequent the area while visiting our corporate office. On this trip I chose the Omni hotel for accommodations for our team (won't make that decision again...see my omni hotel review for those comments), but the bright spot on this trip was the Breakfast Buffet at The Meritage inside the hotel! Wow, tons of choices! Something for everybody. Custom made egg station, bacon, sausage, salmon, cereals, muffins, breads, oatmeal, smoothies, potatoes, fruit.....the list goes on! I believe the price was $23, a little pricey but it does not disappoint! The food not only looks good (beautifully displayed!!), but tastes great. I was able to try blueberry sausage! I have never heard of blueberry sausage, so i had to give it a try! Yum!! The egg chef was very pleasant, along with all the staff there. Cheery, informative, great service! Will keep this in mind for our next trip! Bummer - we were hoping to eat here everyday during our stay, however as we met up at the restaurant on our second day they said they were not having the buffet that day due to low guest quantities. Apparently they only have the breakfast buffet when there is a conference there or holidays maybe?? Ouch! We thought we found a perfect breakfast place for our next trip. They still serve breakfast there, just not the buffet everyday. We tried the la carte breakfast on our second stay, it was good, but the buffet rocks!!! Check out the pictures i took! ;)

Great Breakfast Buffet

Wow Wow Wow !!! What an awesome place for breakfast. It is rather expensive but you have tons of choices. Omelettes and regular eggs cooked to order which is nice to go along with a buffet full of choices. Service was very good and the dining area was clean. I only had breakfast here two days in a row so I can't rate lunch or dinner, but even at that I enjoyed it very much.

Jalapeño cheddar bread - complimentary

-The complimentary jalapeno cheddar bread was served cold. It was not tasty. -The maine lobster potato aioli was delicious. I recommend it. -The diver scallops a la planche was recommended by the server. However, I did not enjoy it. The scallops were too bland. -Wild raspberry ale brined pork rib chop was delicious. It's served with grits (but it was too bland for my taste) Photos posted.

Green Chili Eggs "over medium"

As you can probably guess by its status of hotel restaurant, this place is over priced. The food is hit or miss too. Today I got a $19 breakfast that maybe should have been around $10. I ordered the green chili eggs over medium. First, I realized that the eggs came over easy and not anywhere close to medium, so beware. Also, the menu said that it came with a pork chili, and what it came with was more of a sauce with a nearly undetectable amount of green chilies and pork. I was looking for a breakfast that had a little more protein besides my eggs, and instead I added up with something that was mostly potato and tortilla. A couple of nights ago, I had a better experience with the brisket topped mac and cheese. It was much more food than I would consider a side dish, and delicious.

Basic brunch, I thought the prices were more reasonable then expected them to be, good bloody Mary, but nothing really stands out in my mind about it. We would eat here again if we stayed in the hotel.

Breakfast Buffet - Potatoes, Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Bread Pudding

What a great breakfast buffet! Located in the Omni, I have only had the breakfast buffet here. While pricey, everything they have is delicious. Very farm to table with many organic and local options. And a lot of variety. From salmon and lox, to cheese and charcuterie, an omelet station (local free range eggs), fresh fruit and berries, bagels, toast, oatmeal and cold cereal, and then a changing variety of 'main dishes'. Their breakfast potatoes are wonderful and their sausage is so damn good. I've stayed at the Omni multiple times and always look forward to the breakfast buffet as my biggest meal of the day. Can't wait to go back!

Birthday celebration; we agreed to meet at Flatirons in Broomfield so I Yelped great restaurants. Got there at 11:30 and the place was very quiet! Just a few tables and a chance for my host and I to chat without the clatter and chatter. It filled up by noon but that's because the food is great. Had a perfect Grey Goose martini and a top notch salad with lentils - plus gluten free bread. The dessert was an unexpected surprise - and it was de light flu!!!

This is inside the Omni hotel. Of our 3 lunch meals we all were very disappointed. Top that off with terrible service. We won't be back

Quick note though, they do not pick up their phone. I called three times before heading over and it just rang straight to voicemail each time, so don't count on getting ahold of anyone. We walked in as a two top and got seated in the back room. At first I wasn't loving it since it's kind of cut off from the rest of the restaurant and the ambiance definitely takes a hit back there. But our server Tristen completely turned that around. Super knowledgeable, funny, kind, and quick. He also paid close attention to my girlfriend's allergies and made sure she could order without stressing, which I really appreciated. Food wise, everything hit. Classic steakhouse vibes in the best way. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and the mussels we started with were actually great, which you don't always expect out here in Colorado being landlocked. All in all, aside from the back room situation and the phone issue, this place delivered. Honestly feels like that space should be reserved for private events or opened up a bit. Huge shoutout to Tristen though, he alone bumped this from a solid 3 to a 4 for me.

This is a fairly small space but there are a few tables in back, which is where we sat. There were 8 of us so we split up into 2 tables. We placed all of our orders, got our drinks, and sat down. The soda fountain offers soft drinks from the Real Sugar Soda Co. It was far superior to the 2 main brands that compete. I enjoyed the change of pace. For dinner, I ordered the Crispy Fried Chicken "Specialty". The "Specialties" are basically a bowl with all of the ingredients listed stacked on top of one another. Mine had white cheddar polenta, Swiss chard with bacon, crispy chicken with gravy and chipotle honey drizzled on top. I also got a side of the tator tots that came with a spicy aioli. The meal was outstanding! I loved the variety of tastes and textures of the bowl. The honey on top was an added sweetness with a hint of heat. It was so good, as were the tator tots. The spicy aioli really added a kick and while the heat lingered a bit, it wasn't overpowering. We ended the meal with their donuts. They are cream filled with caramel drizzle. They are not too sweet and the perfect shareable dessert. If you are looking for something new, definitely try this place. I highly recommend!

Soup of the day (side to the sandwich): delicious! The soup was a tomato beef soup with great flavor and ample ingredients. Chicken Finger Basket: the fingers were comically small and mainly breading, so this dish was a bit disappointing. We've had better bake-from-frozen chicken fingers. Parmesan fries (side to the chicken fingers): delicious - perfectly seasoned and had that satisfying outside crunch. Brussel sprouts (side to the chicken fingers): also delicious! Charred to perfection with great seasoning that didn't overpower the good brussel sprouts flavor. The meal also came with a yummy garlic bread.

The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy, the kind of place where anyone can walk in and feel comfortable. It works just as well for a casual hangout as it does for a night out with friends. The drinks are a highlight. Between the self-pour tap wall, infused liquors, and a well-balanced cocktail menu, there's a lot to choose from. Even the homemade Dr Pepper stood out. For food, the wings were a favorite. Crispy, well cooked, and paired with house-made sauces that really made a difference. The chocolate chip cookie sundae was also a standout and a great way to end the meal. One of the most impressive parts is their dedicated gluten free pizza kitchen. The in-house dough is well done and doesn't feel like a compromise, which is great if you're gluten free or dining with someone who is. Overall, it's a well-rounded spot that does a lot of things right.

There are tables and a bar, the place is well lit and clean. There are also tables for groups and an outdoor area which is great. I am not a beer drinker so I ordered wine. I got a pepperoni pizza so that I could take leftovers to my husband. I also was curious about the gluten free crust. The pizza was good - the pepperoni flavorful. It had a lot of cheese and I would have preferred a little less so that I could better taste the pepperoni and the crust. And the crust was also good. This is a great option for a place to gather with a group if there are gluten free eaters you need to accommodate for as there are many choices. The servers were friendly and due to it being a slow time of day, it took a bit for someone to get to us, but we weren't in a hurry so it was all good. I would definitely try this one again.

I completely don't remember what everyone ordered but I DO remember all the things I tried at the table. Tater Tots - parmesan & chives / house onion sour cream - nothing outstanding about this but the kids/teens/young adults LOVED it and may have inhaled it in one breath. Roasted Cauliflower - saffron cream / chermoula / sumac / miso aioli / crispy onion - the saffron cream was a nice touch of essence and the crispy onion brought a good sweetness and texture to the dish. Honey Bourbon Wings - fried chicken wings / honey bourbon glaze / dill pickles - this was FABULOUS, good fry, not burnt and the glaze was perfect, not ooey gooey sticky, just sticky to the touch. Wild Boar Bucatini - wild boar ragu / cured egg yolk / parmesan / chives - this was my dinner order. I'm always excited when there's bucatini on the menu. It just holds enough sauce in the hollows to satisfy me. The ragu was cooked well, good sauce maybe it needed just a little pinch more of salt for my liking. Parking in the neighborhood is not difficult. We had an airbnb down the street and walked here in less than 5 minutes. There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as a covered patio-ish area. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Lafayette!
