The Meritage breakfast buffet was the best part of our stay at the Omni Hotel! My colleagues and I frequent the area while visiting our corporate office. On this trip I chose the Omni hotel for accommodations for our team (won't make that decision again...see my omni hotel review for those comments), but the bright spot on this trip was the Breakfast Buffet at The Meritage inside the hotel! Wow, tons of choices! Something for everybody. Custom made egg station, bacon, sausage, salmon, cereals, muffins, breads, oatmeal, smoothies, potatoes, fruit.....the list goes on! I believe the price was $23, a little pricey but it does not disappoint! The food not only looks good (beautifully displayed!!), but tastes great. I was able to try blueberry sausage! I have never heard of blueberry sausage, so i had to give it a try! Yum!! The egg chef was very pleasant, along with all the staff there. Cheery, informative, great service! Will keep this in mind for our next trip! Bummer - we were hoping to eat here everyday during our stay, however as we met up at the restaurant on our second day they said they were not having the buffet that day due to low guest quantities. Apparently they only have the breakfast buffet when there is a conference there or holidays maybe?? Ouch! We thought we found a perfect breakfast place for our next trip. Located inside the Omni they have a good selection for breakfast. Food was very good and decently priced for a hotel. Sausage was not good, greasy and not fully cooked so they lost a star plus our server did the bare minimum so again one more star gone. read more

The Meritage is the restaurant on the ground floor of the Omni hotel. The dining area is nice and spacious, not to mention relatively quiet since there was not really many people there. It has an upscale feel to it overall I stopped in for breakfast before work one morning. I ordered a Benedict which came with a side of breakfast potatoes. The Benedict was pretty traditional on a English muffin, Canadian bacon w/ hollandaise. It was on-par with a suitable Benedict. It met the mark for what I expected from a Benedict. The breakfast potato were just OK, they were fine, but I wouldn't call them tasty. In all, this was convenient to stop and eat if you are staying at the hotel and do not have time to go elsewhere. read more

Went here on a whim for breakfast with my family. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I got the bread pudding French toast and it was really good. I was worried it might be too sweet but it was just right. I ordered a hot caramel cappuccino, it came out promptly and was exactly what I wanted. Both kids got waffles.. both approved. My husband really wanted sausage gravy biscuits (we thought it was listed on the website or maybe we had seen it in the photos on here.) but they didn't have it so he went with a regular breakfast. Eggs, bacon and toast. It was decent and we would go again. Wow Wow Wow !!! What an awesome place for breakfast. It is rather expensive but you have tons of choices. Omelettes and regular eggs cooked to order which is nice to go along with a buffet full of choices. Service was very good and the dining area was clean. Had to wait 15 minutes at 10:42am to be acknowledged and seated for 11am close breakfast. There were plenty of patrons still in there. We went for the breakfast buffet which I hoped would have lox... and it did. Service was attentive once we were seated. As you can probably guess by its status of hotel restaurant, this place is over priced. The food is hit or miss too. Today I got a $19 breakfast that maybe should have been around $10. I ordered the green chili eggs over medium. First, I realized that the eggs came over easy and not anywhere close to medium, so beware. Also, the menu said that it came with a pork chili, and what it came with was more of a sauce with a nearly undetectable amount of green chilies and pork. I was looking for a breakfast that had a little more protein besides my eggs, and instead I added up with something that was mostly potato and tortilla. A couple of nights ago, I had a better experience with the brisket topped mac and cheese. It was much more food than I would consider a side dish, and delicious. read more

Great for a business lunch. Excellent for a romantic or business dinner. I know, that sounds like a weird combination but I believe it can work either way. So far we've had one lunch and one dinner and the previews four and five star reviews appear to be right on the mark. Had the fillet of beef and the sea bass for dinner. Both were very well prepared, the beef easily scoring 10 stars out of 5 it was that good. Jeff, our waiter, was extremely knowledgeable and informative, taking just the right amount of time and maximum effort to explain everything on the menu we asked about. We were completely confident about what to order and the chef made our dishes exactly as described. That's what I call a perfect dining experience. Haven't tried the wines yet but they sure make a perfect Bloody Mary. The only disappointment so far was at our lunch when the toast accompanying one of our dishes arrived pretty much burned. For dessert we've had the chocolate bar and the fruit cobbler. Both were excellent, the chocolate bar being the most surprisingly so. We can't wait to have the creme brûlée next time. read more

Birthday celebration; we agreed to meet at Flatirons in Broomfield so I Yelped great restaurants. Got there at 11:30 and the place was very quiet! Just a few tables and a chance for my host and I to chat without the clatter and chatter. It filled up by noon but that's because the food is great. Had a perfect Grey Goose martini and a top notch salad with lentils - plus gluten free bread. The dessert was an unexpected surprise - and it was de light flu!!! read more

What a great breakfast buffet! Located in the Omni, I have only had the breakfast buffet here. While pricey, everything they have is delicious. Very farm to table with many organic and local options. And a lot of variety. From salmon and lox, to cheese and charcuterie, an omelet station (local free range eggs), fresh fruit and berries, bagels, toast, oatmeal and cold cereal, and then a changing variety of 'main dishes'. Their breakfast potatoes are wonderful and their sausage is so damn good. I've stayed at the Omni multiple times and always look forward to the breakfast buffet as my biggest meal of the day. Wow, I highly recommend this restaurant. Our waiters name was Joey and he was very professional and had a lot of knowledge about the foods that were on the menu. After he described the dishes it made it really hard to choose. I ordered the bonein ribeye medium well with broccoli. It was the best ribeye I ever had. Every bite would melt in my mouth. This is more of an expensive place but totally worth it. I would recommend coming here for an anniversary date night. read more

Decent buffet selection for breakfast. Food quality is 4 stars, service at least from out waitress was super slow. 1 hour of bottomless mimosas was equal to two drinks. Our table and chairs were also not clean when we were seated. This place feels like it needs a makeover. The food quality is great but for the cost 34-35 a person the service and setting should be much better. If you are staying at the hotel it's alright but for anyone else it's prob better choosing another local option. read more

There is something about having a Sommelier that knows what he is talking about as your waiter. Any question I had about region/flavor, etc he answered without hesitation. It was a wonderful way to start off our meal. He had a sense of humor, necessary for my husband and I while eating out. We started off with the board, meat, cheeses and some delightful fruit. Something for both of us to enjoy. The cheeses were amazing, I wish the person bringing out the dish knew the name of them. Then the salads. The Caesar was amazing. Perfectly spiced, and grapes with the salad? I had no idea the way they would accentuate the flavors. I will eat them with the salad forever more. Dinner, I had the scallops and my husband enjoyed the steak. The steak was perfectly cooked, however not the BEST steak we have ever had. My scallops were great. For a landlocked state, I couldn't ask for better. This restaurant set the bar for me with regards to brunch. Bottomless mimosas...like come on!!! I waltzed in with a wicked hangover and grasping for serotonin and was greeted by prime rib, jumbo shrimp, eggs, bacon, sausage and many other superb dishes. The wait-staff was very attentive and friendly and made the meal even that much better. The restaurant has a very scenic view and seating and silverware are prime. My friend's dad was staying at the Omni so we came here to meet him for dinner (at his suggestion). Boy am I glad we did!! As you walk in you know you are about to enjoy some fine dining. But don't worry...jeans are perfectly acceptable! The service was fantastic! We lucked out having the sommelier as our waiter as I was able to grill him on the wine list (self proclaimed wine-o here). We ended up with a Domain Drouhin Pinot that perfectly matched everyone's meal. We had everything from a light fish dish to a filet. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. They had someone coming around offering up different kinds of bread (never underestimate the importance of good bread!) and they dropped off regular butter and this special pumpkin butter (or something like that!). WOW...was it yummy!! If they have it when you go, get the sourdough bread to go with it. I couldn't stop eating it and wish I lived closer to go get some right now ;-). If you are in the area, look no further for a great place to eat. And you don't have to be staying in the hotel to eat here. read more

I was a little disappointed in this restaurant. They are a bit high end for the their food to not taste good at all. I went for their Sunday brunch and didn't care for the selection or quality of cuisine. They had an omelet station that looked pretty good but I was not in the mood for breakfast so I chose the prime rib and other lunch items. The meat was tasteless and their pasta was not good either. The only thing I feel like they did well was the service. They were on top of everything. They had a dessert bar that was made up of deserts that looked like grocery store items. Thankfully I didn't have to pay for my meal, that would have really frustrated me. The Omni Hotel is very classy and I would expect their restaurant to do a little better than this. This restaurant continues to be one of my all-time favorites! There's so much to love about it! The wait staff is top notch. The food is very foodie-worthy! The wine list is above average- and I'm picky! Last night I had the Salmon. It was perfectly cooked. My friend had the sea bass, which was absolutely deLISH! We were well taken care of by Frances during a period that was very busy for the restaurant. The sommelier, Dana, even took the time out to visit and take our questions about the wine. In fact, I was describing to him how my shiraz from the Barossa valley tasted much like a pinot noir, and that I actually liked my friend's wine better which was from Willamette Valley, OR, (I typically don't like). He took a closer look and realized that the wines were accidentally swapped. So he took them off the bill! This restaurant is indeed a real treat and a nice place to bring out of towners. It is a foodie menu- so expect a foodie price. After dinner we hung out at the outdoor fire pit and chatted. It was lovely! read more

Based on Yelp! recommendations, we decided to try Meritage for breakfast. It's inside the the Omni Interlocken Resort. We arrived and a were not acknowledged. A couple from the resort arrived after us and the hostess acknowledged them and placed them on the waiting list before us which, irritatingly enough, the couple did not acknowledge. We joined them sitting at the bar waiting to be seated. Each of us was told 10min +. The couple was seated inside of 3min. We sat for nearly 12min. When we were finally seated, we were seated at a table that was unoccupied when we arrived and remained unoccupied for the entire time that we were waiting. Ok, fine... We sat admiring the view for a while. After what felt like too long a nice woman came by to take our drink order. She was pleasant enough. The floor manager came by shortly after and again tried to take our drink order. She too was pleasant enough. Finally, a third woman took our order and was never to be seen again. We elected to sample the buffet so as to get a taste of everything. I must say that the food on the buffet was fresh and, for the most part, excellent. My only nit about the food was that the smoked salmon and the eggs were kind of meh and there was not any plain cream cheese available when we went through the line. From a flow point of view, it was difficult to determine where the line began and ended which lead to a couple of collisions with other guests as were were jockeying for position to get at the food. We agreed as we ate that food was good albeit quite pricey for our tastes. It would be a nice place to take someone special who happened to be visiting but certainly not the kind of place that we would attend more than a couple of times per year especially with all the other breakfast options available in the area. read more

This was a memorable dining experience for all the wrong reasons. We ate here on Christmas Eve. The most disappointing part was the service. Our waitress was not on top of it. When I realized we were not going to be getting our second course (a salad) I didn't say anything. When we got our check and saw we had been charge for our salads, plus a sliced up banana for our 7 month old daugther for $6!!!, we let our waitress know we never got the salads. She asked: "Are you sure?" She did take the salads off of the check, but for a holiday night and knowing you are going to spend a lot I wish the service was better. read more

We're staying at the hotel and thought we would stop in for a quick lunch. When we arrived (around 1:30), we were the only people there and should have seen this as an ominous sign. We ordered an appetizer and split an entree, both of which were very tasty, but took over an hour to arrive at our table. The only glitch with the appetizer was we did not get enough bread relative to the amount of dip we received. When we requested more bread, our waiter told us he would have to ask the kitchen if that was OK. We ordered a glass of white wine, which came out at room temperature...ordered a second glass and asked that it be chilled, and it was the same. My in-laws took me here a couple of nights before my wedding as a "welcome to the family" celebration. I think they were still doing restaurant week at the time, so we were able to take advantage of the 5280 specials. I had the filet which was cooked just as I had ordered and was fantastic. The salad that preceded the steak was a tasty side salad, but nothing too exciting. The desert was a panna cotta decorated with fresh fruit and raspberry sauce. It was light and delicious. We also had wine pairings with the mean which consisted of three wines which were all delicious. I would highly recommend Meritage for a nice evening out or special occasion. read more

My wife and I had a number of meals here while staying at the hotel. The breakfast buffets were very nice, pretty typical omni "art of breakfast" but they also added some nice meats and smoked salmon. The dinner was excellent. My wife's cabcake was huge, and she said very good. my meal was Impressive. I had the bison tenderloin. Cooked perfect and was smoked a bit to had another layer of flavor. Located in the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield CO, north of Denver. Staying over in the hotel and tried their breakfast buffet ~$25 during the week day. The food was good. Scrambled eggs were still warm along with some sausages and bacon. Oatmeal was good. Smoked salmon was good with some bread or crackers. Free coffee refills included with the buffet. Friendly service. Knocked off 1 star because of the high price. Try it once as you're on vacation or a business trip as it's very convenient. read more

The Meritage has to have the best steaks in the greater Metro area. We have had steak there at least three times in the past two years and every time - the steaks were cooked exactly the way we asked. The quality of the meat is excellent. The portions generous. If anything, more than generous. Consistent quality. Served hot. Consistently priced with other steak houses in the area. Not cheap but not like some others. Sides come separately, but also good. We had the shrimp appetizer and it was excellent as all. All in all, another five-star experience. The servers are friendly and attentive. read more
