Chimichurri steak with carrots potatoes and broccolini, and fettuccini with basil cream sauce and chicken
    Kathryn W.

We were excited to try this restaurant in downtown Erie which is a really charming location. Parking is a little difficult, especially if you're there during the majority of business hours. We snagged a reservation about 15 minutes before and were so glad we did because there were people waiting when we got there and by the time we left the line was wrapped around the top floor. To get to the restaurant on the second floor, we took a small elevator that was very slow and a little sketchy and made scary noises- not the sketchiest elevator we've ridden in but we were definitely ready to get off. There was an accessible bathroom on the first floor next to the elevator, with a fairly heavy door. To start the service was fantastic- everyone from the host to the waiter to the busboy. Our biggest complaint is that the space was too crowded- they tried to cram too many tables into a small area to the point where an entire table had to move for the people at the table next to them to get up. This was especially challenging for us with one wheelchair user. Multiple people had to move for us to be able to get through. The hallway to the bathroom was also blocked off for anybody using a wheelchair or walker by having a table placed in the space. Otherwise, according to the non-wheelchair user of the group, the hallway would have been accessible and the bathroom would have been spacious with a light door and a large bathroom stall and reachable soap. Would have been great if we could have gotten to it. We enjoyed the multiple nonalcoholic options on the drink menu. Most of the menu is gluten free. We started with burrata with balsamic and a green sauce- everything was good but the green sauce was a little overpowering which hid the flavor of the burrata. We also had a Caesar salad- the dressing was delicious and the greens were fresh, heads up it was heavily decorated with anchovies which could be a plus or minus depending on your palate. For our main course we had the chimichurri steak with potatoes, carrots and broccolini, which was the star of the night. The chimichurri was delicious. We also got the homemade fetuccini with the basil cream sauce- the sauce was a little underwhelming, and the chicken could have used a bit more flavor. By the bathrooms, there is a cute little play room for kids with arcade games and toys, probably best for ages 8 and under. The prices seemed a little high- it was $115 (without tip) for two nonalcoholic drinks, two appetizers, and two entrees. We would consider going back for lunch when the prices are more reasonable- and it would hopefully be less crowded

Amazing!!! I went here with my dad, who came in from out of town, and everything was amazing! Our waitress, Hope, was so nice and gave plenty of recommendations! I had the fettuccine alfredo, and it was literally my favorite thing I've had this year! We also ordered the espresso pie for dessert, again, AMAZING!! It's in such a cute area and the ambiance is so cozy! 100/10 would recommend to anyone who asks!!

Absolutely love this place! Came for dinner on a Saturday. Thankful to make online reservations. They staff was very friendly and attentive and helpful. The decor was cozy. Very awesome the food is 99% gluten free. Made ordering and sharing food at our table super easy. I highly recommend eating here and I hope to be back! Don't forget dessert!

We came here for Valentines Day and overall had a wonderful experience! We had reservations so not sure what the typical wait may be but I recommend making one just in case! Customer service was great, our waiter was super kind and attentive. The ambiance is very cute and cozy! The tables are pretty close together so it may be difficult to get items like walkers or strollers through the aisles. The lighting was dimmed later the evening got which was very nice!! The food is pretty great!! They offered special valentines menu which had a few entrees, dessert, and drink options. We both got steaks which were good cuts and cooked well. (I highly recommend getting the Spiced Apple Mule ;)) We finished with crème brûlée for dessert and oh was that delicious! Pricing of the food is on the higher end and overall I'm still contemplating whether it was worth it or not. However, the experience was great and the food was good! We would probably return!

Man what happened to this place…read more. Jasmine used to be my favorite bar in the area. They provided a varied menu with incredibly unique and delicious drinks with an upscale yet cozy vibe inside. However our last visit was anything but. Supposedly they've made the decision to drop the entire "old menu" as the bartender called it in favor for an uninspired and honestly boring Christmas menu with drinks that weren't even remotely on the level of their previous offerings. Yet the prices were actually higher than their standards. This current menu feels like something you'd pay $11 for at a dive or chain restaurant. After a relatively long wait for service, we ordered 3 drinks, having to repeat ourselves multiple times to the hostess that didn't seem to have any clue of what their drinks were called. Of the 3, none of them included the garnishes that were outlined in the menu, and one drink was completely wrong. We were allowed to keep it and had it replaced at no cost at least, but even the replacement did not have the correct garnish per the menu. I'm praying this place didn't sell out and it's just in some strange transition period between seasons but I won't be returning to check until some time after the new year and these awful drinks are gone. For now, go to Nora's.

Food is simple but hits the spot -- charcuterie, grilled cheese, and pretzel bites that pair perfectly with the cocktails. Bonus: You get a welcome sip when you arrive! We got the Birdhouse Flight to start--guac, five-cheese queso, and their birdhouse salsa (a tasty, mild tomatillo). Seriously, it's the best way to start your meal. For dinner, we all had ramen. I went for the Hellfire with extra bok choy. This ramen is no joke. If you want something spicy, this is it. The chili sauce, flakes, and oil really bring the heat. The kids got the Tonkotsu, which was amazing as usual--great broth and super tender meat. I had my spicy ramen with a Juicy Bits from WeldWerks, perfect combo. So it was shocking that I found such a good bowl out here in Erie. I got the Hellfire Ramen, a tonkotsu-based ramen served with their house spicy sauce, chili oil, pork shoulder, and a soft boiled egg. The broth was rich and flavorful, the spice level was perfect (quiet hot but still maintaining a good balance of flavors), and the pork shoulder was tender but still has a bit of nice toothsomeness. Overall, this was an excellent bowl of ramen comparable to any of the top spots in Denver. The only slight downside is that the broth was just a tough too salty for my liking, and I would've preferred a soy marinated egg over a soft boiled egg. They have other ramen here was well, such as a chicken-based shio ramen, a regular tonkotsu, and a Thai curry ramen. I definitely would return to try the other ramen. If the other items on this menu is as tasty, I wouldn't hesitate to give them 5 stars.

I completely don't remember what everyone ordered but I DO remember all the things I tried at the table. Tater Tots - parmesan & chives / house onion sour cream - nothing outstanding about this but the kids/teens/young adults LOVED it and may have inhaled it in one breath. Roasted Cauliflower - saffron cream / chermoula / sumac / miso aioli / crispy onion - the saffron cream was a nice touch of essence and the crispy onion brought a good sweetness and texture to the dish. Honey Bourbon Wings - fried chicken wings / honey bourbon glaze / dill pickles - this was FABULOUS, good fry, not burnt and the glaze was perfect, not ooey gooey sticky, just sticky to the touch. Wild Boar Bucatini - wild boar ragu / cured egg yolk / parmesan / chives - this was my dinner order. I'm always excited when there's bucatini on the menu.
