Should you decide to visit? I would recommend a reservation on Friday and Saturday nights as it does get very busy. I made a reservation for a Friday early evening. We got seated right away, it wasn't busy at all. The area is cute, built into an apartment complex are with a few other restaurants. Our waitress was amazing - friendly, made great recommendations, and talked us through the menu, answer all of our questions thoroughly. We ordered the streak tartare app, clearly a staff favorite and they put a unique twist on the standard dish with mushrooms and a divine Dijon mustard sauce. The bread was baked to perfection - crunchy but soft all at the same time. My friend got the salmon, cooked to medium and I got the Jamaican jerk chicken which was not very spicy and contained a lot of flavor. The mango chutney and green mojo combo was complex and paired well with the chicken. My friend devoured she salmon so one can only assume it was delicious! I had a random craving for steak on the drive home from Denver with my girlfriend. We've passed this place a bunch of times and always thought it looked interesting, just never actually went in. Finally decided to pull the trigger and I'm glad I did. Quick note though, they do not pick up their phone. I called three times before heading over and it just rang straight to voicemail each time, so don't count on getting ahold of anyone. We walked in as a two top and got seated in the back room. At first I wasn't loving it since it's kind of cut off from the rest of the restaurant and the ambiance definitely takes a hit back there. But our server Tristen completely turned that around. Super knowledgeable, funny, kind, and quick. He also paid close attention to my girlfriend's allergies and made sure she could order without stressing, which I really appreciated. Food wise, everything hit. Classic steakhouse vibes in the best way. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and the mussels we started with were actually great, which you don't always expect out here in Colorado being landlocked. I'll be super honest - 15 min into this reservation I was ready to dislike this place but it quickly turned around. Party of 2 came in for restaurant week. Reservation was at 6:30 and was seated at 6:45 with (two) tables coming in after me and being seated before me. Once we were seated we were sat at a table literally in the middle of the walkway of the restaurant. We had servers and guests squeezing their way by us and we had the wonderful music of slamming silverware in our ears all dinner. It truly felt like we were in the way and the table was added as a way to improvise necessary additional seating. The upsides - our server was fantastic and the food came out at a great pace and was absolutely delicious. We dined on endive salad which essentially was a Ceasar salad with some endive but gave it a nice fresh taste. My son had the split pea soup which he said was delicious and some Jerk chicken which turned out to be the favorite of the meal. My wife and I returned to this restaurant for the first time since just after it opened. This visit was definitely hit and miss with the appetizers out shining the mains. For the appetizers, we shared the PEI muscles and the lobster bisque. The muscle dish was really good with their cioppino style broth and a substantial serving of muscles. There was an up charge for a few slices of sourdough bread to dip in the broth. The lobster bisque was quite tasty. It arrived with quite a few mini dumplings and a small amount of lobster. I get that lobster is expensive and restaurants need to make money and the tastiness of the dish made up for the lack of lobster chunks. I'm not sure about the choice to exclude any cream at all from this dish. It definitely lacked the creaminess of a typical bisque, but the flavors were really good and we enjoyed this. After these two nice appetizers, the mains were a bit of a disappointment. We chose to share the jerk chicken and the short ribs. The short ribs came out a little bit dry, and this was compounded by the fact that there was very little sauce. We also found the sun-dried tomatoes to have a distracting forward flavor from the slow cooked beauty of short ribs. The polenta and the broccoli accompaniment were well cooked and tasty. The jerk chicken was confusing to me. The chicken appeared to not be marinated in a jerk marinade but just grilled plain and then have a light curry-like sauce draped over it. Our server told us that the habanero sauce was very spicy and we turned it down. Perhaps the jerk flavors were in there and we just didn't get them. The chicken itself was well cooked and juicy and overall the dish was tasty. It just didn't seem like jerk chicken to me. Our server was quite capable and friendly. The restaurant has a warm and stylish vibe. Our server was kind and attentive. It was quite busy, so I'd recommended making reservations, especially for larger parties. To start, I had the Chinese chopped salad. It was fine, but not something I'd choose again. For my main course, I had the braised short ribs with cheddar polenta and broccolini. It was really flavorful and well cooked. I also tried the Colorado Lamb Shank, and it was delicious. The meat was tender and falling off the bone with ease. A nice balance of savory and rich flavors. I noticed the portions of side dishes are on the smaller side. The asparagus consisted of only 5 spears, which felt a bit underwhelming for the price. What a great find! I'm already looking forward to coming back! This place offers an upscale dining experience that's surprisingly affordable for the quality. A few standout dishes made the night truly memorable--our waiter, Chau, recommended the tartare, and it was fantastic, definitely one of my favorites! The filet mignon and lamb were both cooked to perfection, and the red velvet cake for dessert was the perfect sweet finish. I've dined here a couple of times for work related customer dinners and I'm very impressed with the whole experience. The restaurant is very spacious, bright with contemporary decor but with warm touches throughout. The service was impressive on both occasions. The staff is very accommodating and knows their menu, food preparation and detailed ingredients for each. We were greeted with a smile at the entry on both occasions. The food is delicious, fresh, consistent and of high value for the price. It's also a well rounded menu with not only high quality steaks but other entrees that I found delicious. My Colorado Lamb Shank with Farrotto, Feta, Snap Peas and Pepper Jam was absolutely amazing. It was super tender and flavorful. The Hickory Grilled Salmon was also well prepared with the salmon moist. On my second visit, I had the Ribeye with the Herb Chimichurri. The temperature was perfect to order. The cocktails are strong and delicious, I loved my Mayor cocktail, a resemblance to an old fashioned. I would definitely recommend this place for any occasion. read more

I had seen this place while searching for somewhere to go for a celebration but always put off actually going. It looked nice and the menu looked good but I always felt a little bit underwhelmed by how it sold itself online. The trouble of someone who uses Yelp too much, I guess. I am glad I finally took the leap and decided to celebrate a recent bit of good news here with my wife and daughter. First of all, the decision to go here was very last minute so I called pretty much 10 minutes before we wanted to be at the restaurant and found out that the next open reservation was 5 minutes from the time of calling. If we couldn't make that, we would be out of luck for the night. I asked the person on the phone if we could be a bit late and it would still be alright, he said yes but just to be aware that eventually they would need our table for the next reservation despite how late we might be. He also let me know they have open bar seating but since my eight year old would be joining, this was a no go. We hopped into the car and made it in about 8 minutes. Despite being late for our booked time everyone was super nice and friendly. Though the establishment did look empty. Maybe my one piece of feedback if that the table layout at this place could be better. They don't have a lot of intimate table tops and instead all their tables seem to be suited for big parties, which seems odd for a place that could be a nice date spot. Small gripe though. Our server was very good (missed their name, this is my fault). They were the type of server that almost is never seen but their presence is felt. Food and drinks came promptly but they didn't stop and chat at all. They also patiently listened to my daughter order which is always a plus. I got the mayor for my cocktail which was very good and perfectly complimented the flavors of the food I was ordering. I started with the endive salad with Caesar dressing. This salad was incredible. It was the perfect starter and honestly maybe one of the best salads I have had in a long time. It was crisp and flavorful and the hit of lemon they added made the whole thing pop. For my meal, I had the filet mignon (with the au poivre). As well as mashed potatoes and crispy Brussels sprouts. Everything was spot on perfect for what I wanted. This is the type of place that if you order a steak you will need to order the sides separately but the side portions were not too small, not too big and they didn't break the bank. That au poivre sauce (it was a sauce on the side and not a preparation of the steak) was incredible. All their steaks come with their house made steak sauce but I would say shell out the extra couple dollars and get the au poivre. It made the meal for me. Bold flavor with the right amount of pepper hit. The crispy Brussels sprouts were incredible and won against the battle of sides against my mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes were great too but they were very much just traditional mashed potatoes with nothing fancy too them. Overall, if you want to enjoy a nice meal with some loved ones. Go here. It is the nicest place in Broomfield as far as ambience and classy food. read more

Our waiter Tristan was one of the best waiters I ever had. He was positive, had a smile on his face, talked to the table briefly and served our food quickly. We saw him making drinks as well. The lobster bisque is a must. It is more tomato based and less cream but this was the best bisque I've had. There were dumplings and lobster pieces throughout. I ordered the lamb shank which fell off the bone and was so flavorful. I want to thank this establishment for having gluten free marked on their menu. We went twice in a week. The first night I ordered the short ribs, they were good, a little too much polenta that needed more seasoning but the meal was a solid 4. We ordered apps as well, none that I could eat, but I did try the pimento dip, if you have lived in the mid atlantic (KY etc), this is not the pimento you know and are used too. They do bring out GF bread if you ask for it, the first night the waiter did not offer separate butter salt for the bread so I ate it plain. Two of us ordered mocktails, neither of us liked it and my other coworker tried mine and did not like it either. And to be transparent, these are guys who eat/drink anything in front of them. Two nights later we had about 30 people for dinner. I and others ordered the filet, it was AWFUL, worst filet I have had in probably 3 years and I eat filet about 3- 4 or more times a month at home and while traveling for work. We started with apps again, this time we ordered the mussels which were GF, our waiter was attentive especially for the size of table. This waiter did bring me separate butter/salt for my bread. When our meals came out, one of my coworkers saw me attempting to "saw" my medium cooked filet, another coworker near me also ordered the filet and had a similar experience as I did. I think I ate maybe 3 bites, even the color was off, it was very gamey, chewy, stringy. Luckily I ordered fries as a side, dinner of champions there! I am a bit surprised the waiter did not ask or take it off the bill. Excellent wine recommendation for the DeLoach Chardonnay, really a wonderful pairing for so many things. The real star of the show was the service, specifically our server Kevin. Attentive without being overbearing, friendly without familiar. It felt so special to have good service at a restaurant with such delicious food and a reasonable price point. I went with the filet mignon (and - of course - mac & cheese on the side)... Both were delicious and the filet had a great charred flavor and was cooked perfectly! I had showed up with three co-workers looking for a table for four. The only disappointment was that we were told there was an hour and a half wait so we decided to eat at the bar, which was a good experience, but we watched a number of tables going unpopulated the whole time we were there. We live in Denver, were going to see Pigeons Playing Ping Pong in Boulder, so decided to check this place out for dinner before heading to Boulder. Great decision. First of all, I would like to complement Chow, our server. He was energetic, welcoming, and efficient. On Point, without a doubt, and did so while getting very busy while we were there. He made our experience so much better, with energy and food and drink advice. Thanks, Chow, and don't be shy about promoting this server, management! We went there during Restaurant Week, so the portions in the pics might be less than what you typically would get, but that is to be expected for regular restaurant-goers. The drink options were all over the board, and great. My wife had a vodka drink that had hibiscus that was tasty, and I had a beer. The food. The wedge was delicious and a large portion for a starter. Wife and I both LOVED the green goddess dressing. Magical. I got the lobster bisque, and it equaled the magicality (probably not a word) of her salad dressing. It is in the style of less creamy, and more seafood-y (just letting the folks who expect creamy bisque), but I loved it. Sad it was gone when I was done. Wife got the steak, and it was great, but the mashed potatoes are what caught my attention. The onion flavoring, the taste overall...was only sad because it wasn't on my side of the table. My short ribs were incredible. They were on a bed of polenta, and the sun-dried tomatoes added to the flavor flawlessly. The desserts. Wow, I loved my peanut butter thing. I was warned that it was so rich that a couple bites might do me, but I ate a couple of bites, blinked, and it was...gone. Loved it. She got the Matcha-cheesecake item. She loved it. Not my style, but I recognize the brilliance of it for those types of people. The atmosphere was nice, although we both had a little trouble with the WIFI. Good. It helped us stay away from the technology obstacles and we talked with each other more lol... Maybe it was because we were the back table in the back room though. I had an absolutely miserable experience there -- the kind that tells you everything you need to know about a place's priorities. The hostess refused to give us the booth we had specifically reserved, and instead of honoring a simple request, she decided to posture, argue, and dig in her heels like her personal dignity depended on denying me a seat. She claimed the booths were "all reserved," but during our entire visit, only one party ever sat in one. It was my birthday, and she made sure it started with irritation instead of hospitality. Instead of the comfortable booth I had planned for, I was shoved into a miserable, second-rate table that ruined the atmosphere and the experience. The wine was passable at best -- certainly nothing memorable, and definitely not good enough to compensate for the treatment we received. The waitress did her best to salvage the disaster, but the damage had already been done by the power-hungry gatekeeper at the front. If the staff's obsession with being right and dominating guests outweighs their ability to offer even basic courtesy, then they've told me everything I need to know. On my birthday, of all days, they managed to turn what should have been a pleasant celebration into a frustrating, tone-deaf mess. I will never return. The staff was chipper and welcoming. I ordered the braised short rib over polenta with broccolini, a side salad, and a cocktail. Every thing was delicious. I've been on run of having just ok short rib at restaurants so this was a refreshingly warm welcome. The polenta and broccolini melded well with the short rib. The salad was a salad. Nothing major to write home here. The cocktail was absolutely delicious. It was tequila based with the named Jalisco in it. It had mezcal and grapefruit and it along with the food put my taste buds in a culinary blender. Also, it was not very expensive. Really great value. I'll definitely be back to try a steak. The town of Broomsfield is quiet. The trees are uniformly lit with white lights with snow is on the ground. On the south end of downtown is Hickory and Ash. Quiet on the outside, vibrant on the inside. I ordered the Colorado lamb shank. The idiosynchractic pepper jam was what really stood out. It was good. My husband and I went out for Friday Night date night on a recommendation from a friend. We had a reservation and waited a couple of minutes to be greeted when we arrived and then had to wait while the table was made ready. We were seated and waited too long for our server though he was apologetic when he did come which I appreciated and told him so. We ordered a glass of wine and the Braised Meatballs for an appetizer. They arrived hot and the bed of polenta they were on was just as delicious as the meatballs. The meatballs were not dry and they had great flavor. We shared a 16oz Ribeye steak with au poivre sauce and the fries for a side. (There is a separate charge for the sauce and the side) The steak was tender and cooked to our order (medium rare) and I would definitely recommend this steak! The fries we should have sent back and after seeing the table next to us get theirs I wish we would have but it was too late. The fries were not golden and crispy with a tender center, they were brown and crunchy from being over cooked. We ate all but the really crispy ones and then moved on. My husband likes to end his meal with decaf espresso and I prefer a nice wine for dessert. I ordered the Chateau de Cosse, Sauternes, France 2017 and will now go look for a bottle. It is not a super sweet dessert wine and has notes of fruit and a dry finish. A perfect ending to the meal and had our fries been the golden brown of our neighbors, we would have had a perfect meal.
