This is truly a hole in the wall. It's a small restaurant tucked away at the corner of a plaza that is shared with a liquor store and insurance. Food does take a while so if you're coming for lunch, maybe call and place an order ahead of time. Everything we ordered was so good and each bite was quite flavorful. The tacos seem small but they're quite stuffed so an order is pretty good. The wings were delicious along with the cheese curds. The burger was good but we could probably do without. Ordered takeout for delivery and got a good spread: a bean and chicken burrito, chili cheese fries, a smothered asada and bean burrito with guac and Spanish rice added, and a side of queso. The guacamole was good. Their homemade refried beans were the highlight, definitely not the canned stuff. My fiancé was craving takeout Mexican food (not Chipotle) and this hit the spot for him. He loved the chili cheese fries and the smothered asada burrito especially. It's obviously a different category than a sit-down spot like Alma Fonda Fina, but for takeout, this is genuinely good. Heard about this place from a friend and finally had time to check it out. Very limited seating, a few chairs inside and out. There was a constant line out to-go orders leaving. $2.50 tacos on Tuesday for select meats. We got a side of queso & chips and it was the perfect snack. Tacos were delicious and affordable. Easy meal to sit down and eat or pick up. Very friendly staff, patient with us as we navigated the menu and changed our minds a few times. This being my last review for 2025 couldn't have been a better pick for lunch with my son. Is this a little hole in the wall, yes it is. Seating for 6 at best and mostly a counter and a kitchen. Is this in a location that is just a little unexposed to drive by traffic, yes. It is off Sheridan and 10th Ave between apartment buildings and houses not what you expect. As I drove up to the location it is in a building with an off brand convenience store and a dry cleaners with no other businesses nearby. It's not real inviting from the exterior or even the interior as far as that goes. This is a classic case of " don't judge a book by It's cover " or you'll be missing out on a real gem for customer service and tasty eats. We were greeted upon arrival by a very pleasant lady behind the counter. We took one of the three small empty tables and studied the menu. You order at the counter and most of the customer traffic while we were there was Doordash type orders and the to go orders were steady. My son ordered three tacos and a bottle of Coke. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon as the protein and smothered with green chili. This is rare but my son raved about the tacos, not just that they were good. He stated that he would definitely be returning to repeat the experience. He said he could taste every ingredient used to make his tacos. My breakfast burrito was very tasty, every ingredient was cooked to my expectation. The eggs were fluffy, bacon crispy but not burnt and the hash browns cooked to perfection. The star of this dish for me was the green chili that smothered an already delicious breakfast burrito. We both agreed this was one of the best lunches we have enjoyed over the years. Don't be put off by the location or the exterior, its worth a visit. The service was good, food was excellent, the place was clean and the prices were reasonable. I don't know the story behind this restaurant but I hope going forward they get good business demand because good food and good service should be appreciated. In the last three or more years service has certainly declined and good food is harder to find at reasonable prices. I will be back when I am in the area to try other dishes and my son who lives not too far away says it is his new taco place. I would invite other Yelper's to give it a try. read more

My wife and I shared a chicken nachos and were thoroughly impressed with its freshness and flavor. We look forward to trying other items on the menu in the future. The one drawback, if it even is one, is that it was hard to find. There are no signs on the outside of the building letting you know it's there. It is the kitchen for the bar. To satisfy my taco craving I frequently go to a certain place in Lafayette or another in Northglenn, but today I was pleasantly surprised to discover this takeout spot in Broomfield, which is equally good and much closer to my home. I ordered the Campechano tacos, which were double corn tortillas, filled with a generous amount of asada and chorizo, and topped with onions and cilantro. Not greasy at all. Delicious and inexpensive! Hubby had a smothered burrito and said it was also very good. He confirmed what I had heard about their green chile: it's very spicy! So ironic that I read a great review of this place last night & then my son took me here for lunch. Food was very tasty, lots of depth of flavor. He had a carnitas combo & I had the tacos Al pastor w. 2 kinds of salsa (tough to choose which 1 I liked more) & diced pineapple. On the side were lime wedges & cucumbers, pork was done well not dry & plenty of it. Hubby had the Al pastor quesadilla & it was perfect. There was a nice toast to the tortilla on both sides (not soggy), and the filling ingredients again had a great depth of flavor. He asked for easy on the cheese & it was the perfect t amount. Hopefully going forward they'll have less plastic containers, but I get it they do a lot of takeout business. Try this place, you won't be disappointed. Have been here a handful of times and have never been disappointed! Located in a rustic neighborhood bar (Lake Ave), the food is a hidden gem!!! Everything I have ever had has been fantastic! The tacos are hot and fresh and packed with delicious ingredients! The veggie taco is surprisingly good!! A nice variety of seasoned vegetables that are stuffed in a homemade tortilla! Their green chili is homemade and extremely flavorful. Nice kick to it! The owners are always very attentive and quick to help. I was tired of cooking and looking to grab something to-go for dinner when this place popped up on Yelp. I knew exactly where it was at since it's right down the street from me; decided to give it a try. They have a bunch of photos of their food on their website and a lot of great reviews on DoorDash as well. Essentially, it's a kitchen inside of the Lake Avenue Inn. If you want to grab something to go as I did, the kitchen is straight ahead and to the right when you walk inside. They have a really good variety of stuff on their menu. I normally eat tons of spicy food and thought about getting a burrito, but I just wanted a good burger. They delivered! Really good sized burger, with legit bacon, and a huge side of seasoned fries that were perfectly crispy. It was very filling and I could have easily made two meals from it. I am sure I looked out of place since I was the only one there grabbing something to go and trying to figure it out. I talked to the owner(s) a bit when my food was ready, and the woman told me they had been there for about a year and just happened to add themselves to Yelp earlier today. Looking forward to grabbing some more food there again soon, especially some tacos or a burrito!
