    Rum based cocktail....

Celebrating a milestone birthday for a family member and haven't been back to Hideaway since before the pandemic. They are just as good as I remembered. Marta took cared of us and did a splendid job. We really appreciated her recommendations and looked to her for advice on the dessert menu as it was extensive. The steak was cooked to perfection with just right amount of seasoning. I didn't need any additional sauce but I heard the blue cheese crust and the bone marrow butter were both amazing, really added to their steaks. Most of us ordered the 10oz Wagyu New York. One of my favorite sides was the truffle frites that looked more like potato cubes, fried to perfection, so crispy and tasty. We also ordered the whipped potatoes and broccolini, also very good. The mood lighting is definitely adding to the upscale-ness of the restaurant, we were seated next to a cozy fireplace. Forgot to mention, we really loved the fried alligator and the beef Wellington bites as appetizers. The escargot was delicious but the snails were small without shells. Love that they added a small piece of pie crust or phyllo dough on top of the escargot to pick up the herb butter. The only thing, if I must complain, was the water. It reminded me a little bit like the swimming pool water, maybe it's PH balanced and my peasant palate was not used to it but our whole crew picked it up. The water at another fancy steak place was similar experience, so not sure if it was a steakhouse theme or just driving ppl to order other beverages... either way, it wasn't bad enough to take away a star, but be forewarned on the bleach-y water. The house made cheesecake, the crème brûlée, the biscoff mouse were all super tasty! Want to come back to check out their most ordered lava cake. Cheesecake "took the cake" for me, dense, creamy and fluffy at the same time... I know, contradictory descriptions but you have to try it to understand it. Thanks Hideaway for our bday celebration experience, definitely worth a visit if you haven't been! We will be back!!

First time to visit Hideaway Steak house. We met up with longtime friends to catch up with life & have a really good steak dinner. The moment our waitress introduced herself to our table, she made sure we were taken care of with drinks and appetizers for a starter. Her description of the evening's specials were mouth watering. We enjoyed our steaks from the Ribeye special to Filet mignon to the Seabass! The side vegetables were cooked with perfection. We were so full from dinner, we didn't have room for dessert. I give this steakhouse a 10 out of 10; a great fine dining destination!

Great selection of steaks! I like the ambiance and the staff and service was perfect. I got the Filet Oscar which was cooked to perfection and topped with a lot of crab. The Garlic whipped mashed was a bit on the saltier side but we'll worth it! As always save room for dessert - where the chocolate stuffed phylo is always a good shareable choice.

Braised wagu short rib with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Deelish!

Loved this restaurant. We stopped in on the late side for a friend's birthday. Wanted a couple appetizers and sone dessert.... a couple cocktails as well . They gif not disappoint. We sat in the bar which was very comfortable and relaxing. There are plenty of other tables in the dining area. The service was great. Drinks and food came quickly and were delicious. We ordered the mini beef Wellington and the calamari appetizers. The dessert was a puff pastry filled with Nutella and a caramel and chocolate drizzle..... YUM!!! We also had a fried peach bread pudding. Also very good. Was a fun night and we'll definitely be back

The cook and sear on my ny strip was perfect, the butter cooked brocolini was amazing

A truely perfect evening. A quiet evening, great cook on everything, great service, and a personal touch on the whole evening...

Smoked prime rib with twice baked potato and broccoli I yum!

Food is overly expensive but good. Not a great wine list. Bar is fun. Ambience is excellent. Happy hour is more affordable.

Its overall chicness in a spacious lounge-style room immediately cooled me down once I arrived (on the day I visited after work, the temperature outside was soaring in upper 80's.) The time was around 4:45pm. If I am not mistaken, their happy hour is 3-5pm. I thought I was in the middle of the HH rush but there were still plenty of seatings available and yet the place was nowhere near empty. And yet, I found just the right spot so I would be away from all the chatters emitting from the people mainly sat at the bar. The selections for wine (red and white) as well as the tap beers are quite the variety. During the HH time, the drinks are only $5 for beer on tap, well mules, wells spirits and any wine on tap. For a chic/elegant/upscale place such as this place, this pricing offer is extremely generous. I simply couldn't think of anything other than refreshing cold white wine so after getting a little suggestion from my wonderful waiter, I went with the Angeline Sauvignon Blanc (the regular price is $12 so I saved $7.) As much as I am a wine person, I don't go by the rigid rules. White win should generally be served between 45°F and 55°F (7°C to 13°C) and yet at home I chill my (white) wine in the freezer for a bit so it will be super cold. This is a must for me. And to my surprise, when they served me the Sauvignon Blanc it was pretty close to the super chill temperature I am used to. As if they read my mind, I was quite surprised and happy with the cold crisp white wine. It was a quick stop to have a little "after work" cocktail on the way home so I didn't get any food and yet that crisp chilled white wine I was served instantaneously made me a big fan of this cocktail lounge. When I asked my waiter when the place opened. He said it opened in 2019. I simply couldn't believe it. If it's been around for this long but the fact that I recently heard about it stunned me. And if I am not mistaken, the waiter said that another location is about to open in a different area in the Denver metro. It's nice to know that this business is thriving. Good for them.

Drinks on HH are limited to wines and beers on tap as well as a single spirit with one mixer: not too shabby. Came in for dinner before the Two Feet concert and it got us in the mood for a fun night of laughter, dancing and serious burning of calories. Settled in busy South Broadway area, parking is as good as you can find it. You can go bar hopping and end up here. Or start and stay here nestled in the velvet couches or club chairs. Recently opened, it hasn't been discovered to where you can't get reservations or a spot at the bar. Place starts filling around 8ish and the club atmosphere kicks in around 1030pm. Staff is attentive without being overly helicopter as you dine or drink. Incredible drink selections are amazing with a nice selection of rum. Had the melo cocktail which features avua cachaca, a rum but sure tasted like the strongest tequila fun decision of the night. Babe had the Zona Rosa which is basically a fruit salad with tequila and rum. We ordered the ceviche de chicharrone that has such great flavors with crispy pork belly. Nothing left but a scraped up bowl. Suggest also the empanadas because you can't come here and not taste a staple item. The carne asada is amazing and basically a large slab of nicely grilled meat. LOVE IT!!!! Babe had the hamburguesa paisa which also is a nice slab of beef with bacon topped with pineapple salsa. I wish I could have had room for dessert but my slinky dress didn't cooperate. Next time... I have my eyes on the panna cotta de cafe and cheesecake guava. Looking forward to a return visit with friends. When I calmly asked why we were being refused, instead of receiving an explanation, I was threatened with pepper spray by staff/security. As someone who is used to dealing with high stress situations, I found the interaction especially concerning because this situation never warranted that kind of response. There was no professionalism, no clear communication, and no effort to de-escalate the situation. If you're looking for a place that treats customers with respect and communicates professionally, this was not my experience. Based on how we were treated, I cannot recommend MDE Lounge.
