Celebrating a milestone birthday for a family member and haven't been back to Hideaway since before the pandemic. They are just as good as I remembered. Marta took cared of us and did a splendid job. We really appreciated her recommendations and looked to her for advice on the dessert menu as it was extensive. The steak was cooked to perfection with just right amount of seasoning. I didn't need any additional sauce but I heard the blue cheese crust and the bone marrow butter were both amazing, really added to their steaks. Most of us ordered the 10oz Wagyu New York. One of my favorite sides was the truffle frites that looked more like potato cubes, fried to perfection, so crispy and tasty. We also ordered the whipped potatoes and broccolini, also very good. The mood lighting is definitely adding to the upscale-ness of the restaurant, we were seated next to a cozy fireplace. Forgot to mention, we really loved the fried alligator and the beef Wellington bites as appetizers. The escargot was delicious but the snails were small without shells. Love that they added a small piece of pie crust or phyllo dough on top of the escargot to pick up the herb butter. The only thing, if I must complain, was the water. It reminded me a little bit like the swimming pool water, maybe it's PH balanced and my peasant palate was not used to it but our whole crew picked it up. The water at another fancy steak place was similar experience, so not sure if it was a steakhouse theme or just driving ppl to order other beverages... either way, it wasn't bad enough to take away a star, but be forewarned on the bleach-y water. The house made cheesecake, the crème brûlée, the biscoff mouse were all super tasty! Want to come back to check out their most ordered lava cake. Cheesecake "took the cake" for me, dense, creamy and fluffy at the same time... I know, contradictory descriptions but you have to try it to understand it. My husband and I have been wanting to try this steakhouse for a while now and were able to go during Valentine's Day weekend. Upon entering the restaurant it smelled of seafood which I thought was interesting. I would expect this from a place like Ocean Prime but not a steak heavy place. We walked through the booths which looked really nice but were sat in a different room towards the back. We ordered a bottle of wine and the mini beef Wellingtons to start. The meat was very tender. We split the 20oz ribeye steak and had the garlic whipped mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. We had ordered the steak medium well but I feel that it was well done when we got it. The sides we ordered were great! We did order the truffle butter to go along with the steak (additional $7) which was ok. The steak itself was ok. It wasn't anything to bash about. We ordered the Nutella triangles for dessert and it was too sweet for me, very odd for me to say since I have a huge sweet tooth! Our waiter checked on us a couple of times. It wasn't that busy but it seemed that service was a bit slow. As far as pricing, I do think it's overpriced for what it is. There are 5 other steakhouses that I think have better quality and are not as expensive as here. read more

Well. That was disappointing. Looked online for several places to go to get king crab legs. I've been wanting them for quite a while now and thought I would give Hideaway Steakhouse a try. What a mistake. I ordered shrimp cocktail, which came ok. I also tried the French onion soup which was also just OK. Then for my entrée, I ordered the king crab, and a baked potato. The baked potato was meh but worst of all the king crab came out icy cold. For the amount of money, restaurants charge for king crab nowadays you would think it should be perfect. Tonight was anything, but. I told my server I didn't want to be that guy, but the crab was icy cold and she was very nice. The manager came out at one point and said we're looking at it now. Thanks for letting us know. Then he said, be sure not to go hungry. ??? I'm not even sure what that means Biggest disappointment was when the bill came and I realized I had just paid $110 for my 1/2 a meal and two drink drinks I was texting my friend as the appetizer came out asking if they would like to join us for dinner at Hideaway steakhouse sometime, but I will be reneging on that offer. If you have a choice and you're going to spend the money that they charge at Hideaway Steakhouse, I would think twice and pick somewhere else read more

Our go to restaurant for ambience, perfectly mixed martinis, and tasty meal. On this visit we sat at the bar which provided free entertainment watching the bartenders. We started with martini's with blue cheese stuffed olives and calamari. The calamari was nicely spiced and included grilled shishito peppers. We shared the bone in 22 oz Cowboy ribeye cooked medium well with a side of house cut-fries. All were delicious. We finished the evening with the Smores Bread Pudding and vanilla bean ice cream. read more

First time to visit Hideaway Steak house. We met up with longtime friends to catch up with life & have a really good steak dinner. The moment our waitress introduced herself to our table, she made sure we were taken care of with drinks and appetizers for a starter. Her description of the evening's specials were mouth watering. We enjoyed our steaks from the Ribeye special to Filet mignon to the Seabass! The side vegetables were cooked with perfection. We were so full from dinner, we didn't have room for dessert. My husband and I frequent steakhouses since steak is truly his thing, so we have tried many of the well known spots across Denver. We treated ourselves to Hideaway Steakhouse in Westminster tonight and it is easily one of the very best experiences we have had in Colorado. From the moment we walked in, every single person we interacted with was friendly, genuine, and attentive. It is rare to feel that taken care of by an entire staff. Everyone acknowledged us, checked in with us, and made the evening feel special without being over the top. The food was wonderful. Our steaks were incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. The sides were delicious. The desserts were excellent. The wine list was great and very well curated. We also loved the atmosphere. So many modern restaurants today all share the same trendy and slightly sterile vibe. Hideaway feels like a true classic steakhouse in the best possible way. The decor is warm and inviting and it adds to the overall experience. If you feel like treating yourself in the Denver area, we highly recommend Hideaway Steakhouse. It easily holds its own with other favorites like Guard and Grace and in some ways we enjoyed it even more. We will definitely be back. read more

Went here for a work event, so we had the event space and a set menu. We were very excited to try this restaurant as the menu looked very fancy! We started with the caprese bruschetta which were good. Then the hideaway house salad.... Not good. There was barely any dressing, the sprouts were wilted. Quite a disappointing and dry salad. For my entree I had the prime New York steak. It was ok - very over cooked and stringy. It came with potatoes- fantastic!! And the Brussel sprouts were also incredible. The dessert was good - we had sorbet and chocolate mousse. The biggest complaint we all had was that our food didn't come out until after the event time was over.. our event was supposed to be from 6:30-8 and we got our entrees at 8:15. Came here for dinner and it was decent. There were only a few other people there on a Friday night which was surprising. I asked the bartender if I could switch regular fries for their truffle fries and she said they couldn't even tho truffle fries was on the menu... so that was strange. Seemed like a bit of laziness. Maybe that's why their bar and restaurant was empty on a Friday night. The vibes weren't great but the happy hour is okay. Went with a group of friends for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The food is mediocre at best,, the steaks were way too salty and not very tasty, very tough. But to my shock, when I got the bill, I saw that the mixed drink I ordered, which I asked for a single rock ice cube, I was charged two dollars for the ice cube. In my life, I've never been charged for ice in a drink, but this establishment thinks it's OK to do that. They don't charge you for water if you get tapwater, they didn't charge us for ice in our glasses of water, but they charge me two dollars for an ice cube in my mixed drink. I cannot process the rationale behind that, and I would never go back to a restaurant that does that. As a couple including tip, we spent almost $400 on our dinner with drinks. For that quality of food, charging us for the ice cube was beyond absurd. I'm curious for the restaurants response. We travel the world, Las Vegas, South Beach, New York, I've never been charged for a single rock ice cube. What's next, will they charge me if I ask for two lime wedges in my drink? Really wanted to like this place, but it came up a little short. Went for happy hour and tried several apps. Complimentary bread was a little dry and the butter was hard. Shrimp cocktail was good . Mini beef Wellington's were underwhelming. Pork belly canapés were overcooked and too big for a bite, but too small to cut up. Calamari rings, were great, but the tentacle pieces were unpleasantly butchered. The Service was great at the bar but for $200, My wife and I left unsatisfied. Loved this restaurant. We stopped in on the late side for a friend's birthday. Wanted a couple appetizers and sone dessert.... a couple cocktails as well . They gif not disappoint. We sat in the bar which was very comfortable and relaxing. There are plenty of other tables in the dining area. The service was great. Drinks and food came quickly and were delicious. We ordered the mini beef Wellington and the calamari appetizers. The dessert was a puff pastry filled with Nutella and a caramel and chocolate drizzle..... YUM!!! We happened to come on smoked prime rib Tuesday! Everything was excellent! We came under dressed with children and every single person was super nice. The manager gave us a warm welcome from the beginning, even the waitress from a different table. The meat was perfectly cooked, twice baked potato perfectly seasoned. I don't even like broccoli but ate all of it. Shrimp cocktail, lobster tempura (must get), and my daughter loved the popping boba in her Shirley temple. We were there for THREE hours because the waiter clearly had too many tables and we waited and waited to place orders. The bread pudding dessert was served cold - another disappointment. We had looked forward to eating here for some time based on reviews from my coworkers. Finally we were able to have lunch and, based on the prices, expected a great food experience. The service was great. The wedge salad was very good. We both ordered filets, one rare and one medium rare. They came out overcooked. The broccolini stems were dry and brown. The asparagus was grilled dry and woody. The twice baked potato was barely warm. Management offered to replace the steaks and ended up discounting them. We paid $175 for lunch after the discounts and not including tip. Based on our experience, we would never waste our money here again. Two stars are for the service, not the food. read more

We hosted a dinner for 8 in Hideaway's private room last night, and had a wonderful experience! The space was beautiful, the food and drinks were great, the service was excellent. I also appreciated the fact that the staff wore masks for Covid safety. I worked with Cindy to plan our small event, and she was very responsive, professional, and great to work with. The private room was elegant, inviting, and well-decorated. The food was great. Our multi-course meal was excellent, and I especially enjoyed my Wagyu steak with foie gras butter. My old-fashioned was very good, and we enjoyed the wine we ordered. The waiter who was assigned to us for the evening was great - polite, thoughtful, and friendly. We felt well taken care of.
