We came for our 32nd anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The provided on the house. Champagne (or wine?) I don't drink alcohol, so they made us mocktails and it was delicious!! We ordered Pan -which is soft, comes with creamy butter; also, got ensalada (local farm) because of that pesticide, I was worried. It turned out better than last time; Calabacin - was good, until kick of spice, doesn't come on quick, after chewing and swallowing, phew! There's a kick of spice and I drank everything surrounding me, asked for ice, it doesn't come with water, mocktail and Sprite with cherries; Jamon Fat Fries - basic French fries, of course yummy; 37 day dry aged cowboy ribeye 24 oz is delicious, hubby was in love; for dessert it's chocolate tarte (4got) fancy name, it was served inside dark brown cup, I thought it was part of dessert, nope! It's unusual--umm, like chocolate mousse inside. I wanted to love it, but no, I do not recommend ordering. We sat in okay spot. They said, we'd be in best table...where we sat, we couldn't take good pictures, it was at corner. If we were one table over, it would've been amazing. The ambience was great. For service, I had to take a star away, I didn't want to...service was ok, I kept inquiring about my refills, way we were served, we were barely eating appetizers and salad...they came to take away plates to give us dinner plates, it felt rushed. I was trying to finish bread and salad, while they were moving plates around, so they can take it. If they waited 5 minutes, it would've been smoother. Dinner was great, server came right back, we barely got steak on our plates, inquired about taste...again, it was rushed. Plus, check your receipt! They already added 10% tip, which is fine, but without any notice or none that was displayed. Wow wow wow! I wish more than anything that I could've gone here for dinner. If tapas hour is any indication that dinner is just as good? Then I'd be so lucky to try their dinner menu. We went for apps/lunch and drinks. The view is so gorgeous and who doesn't love seeing mountains while enjoying a perfect red sangria? I mean, such good vibes and what a perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon. I can only imagine sunset. We got the pimiento peppers which were so good--the sauce is out of this world. The salad had the best vinaigrette and while I didn't take a picture (I was so excited to eat that I forgot), the steak frites was out of this world. The jamon fat fries were insane. So crispy and so flavorful. But the steak? Woah. Not a big portion, but that's not surprising for tapas! Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly-- aka, perfection. Nice restaurant with great views of the flat irons. I was able to make a reservation easily on OpenTable for Friday night. Service is really good. I drink a lot of water and the staff was very attentive refilling my water, although I did ask them to just leave a pitcher of water and they insisted on refilling my glass so I guess it's part of their ambiance to have clear tables? Anyways I did appreciate their attentiveness. The steak was amazing. We got the American wagyu NY strip which had 16 oz of meat. But it was nicely prepared at medium rare. We also got the 6 oz tenderloin and 6 oz flat iron for the 2 of us. Honesty the tenderloin was so similar to the more expensive Wagyu so if ur looking to get a good meal but half the price, go with the tenderloin. Our waiter Julian was very good at explaining the options and giving recommendations. We also got the Patatas Bravas which was very tasty with the different sauces. We started with the pulpo -- bright, savory flavors that really stood out. My girlfriend and i dined here last night and i would say i left feeling a little underwhelmed. The great: The mountain view from the roof top is next level. The interior decor is somewhere between industrial and modern with a hint of oddities like animal skulls to tie everything together. The cocktails we had were absolutely delicious and unique. You can tell their beverage director is a talented person. The okay: Most of the dishes we tried were so close to being homeruns but a few lacked 1 or 2 touches from being perfect. Here's an example: the roasted brie served with house made focaccia was undeniably a beautifully curated dish however my partner and i both agreed it needed a bit of acidity to really pull together that apricot jam with the decadent bask style cheese. Perhaps some lemon zest on top? The bad: While most of the dishes were delicious enough not to be disappointed, i must say the potato bravas is so overwhelmed by the sauce underneath. You can't taste anything other than that. It very much gave off expensive potato wedges and ketchup. For the price you're being charged it was not worth it. The ugly: Service was underwhelming. The servers here are definitely told in pre-shift to push up charges and try to sell bottles of wine to jack up bill averages. Which i can understand as someone who has been in the industry my entire life but there's a way to do it that isn't as blatantly obvious. Our server was also quite timid. Lacked eye contact and a personal touch. Regardless we tipped very well because we've both been in the hospitality industry for a long time and get the struggle. Tl;dr: Corrida is a fun spot to have some wine and a bite or two while looking at the beautiful view. The food is a bit underwhelming yet acceptable. The service is reminiscent of '90s fine dining that lacks personality and charm. We love Corrida! Every time we stay in Boulder, we make a point to dine here. The food is fabulous. The service is top notch. We were about to get a last minute reservation for Saturday - although the bar seating is nice and cozy and usually always has spots open. The host Chase was super friendly and welcoming. He sat us a bit early, and he offered some of his recommendations. Most of the dishes are made to share. We started with the olives and iberico jamon. The jamon melts in your mouth! For steak, it's all about your preference. We opted for the dry-aged cowboy. Super smooth and not very fatty compared to some Chicago steaks we've had recently. Parking structure close by with FREE weekend parking! We went for Brunch, Easter Weekend is a 3-Course Pre-Fixe menu. Excellent options! In addition, great cocktail Menu. The inside is very inviting. I love how the ceiling and walls have acoustic materials. Rare now in restaurants where noise rules! Views out if the glass walls! There is also an outdoor patio that must be a great option on Summer days and nights. There were even private igloo! There are windows into the kitchen and a case of meats aging. Overall, great vibes! The cocktails were excellent. Gin Martini made with a locally sourced gin! The food was works of art and the flavors, just as amazing as they looked. First course two of us selected the Salmon Toast, excellent, and the third selected the endive salad. For the second course, I had the Corrida Beef Burger with Fries. It was done perfectly and the aoli with the peppers topped it perfectly! My husband had the Hrimp and Eggs served on top of Bomba Rice, another excellent choice. Our son ordered the Benedict. It was served with these roasted potatoes that were the best he's ever had! For dessert we ordered all three shared! Basque Cheesecake, Chocolate Tart, and Strawberry Sorbet. Ive had several minor issues every time I've eaten here & Mon the 13th sealed the deal - I will NEVER go back!! I brought 8 out of state colleagues for dinner & I have never been so embarrassed to show off Boulder after living here for 35 years! The service was provided by a very strong ensemble who were not only very kind, but very passionate and informative about the menus. Here's my favorites from the night : Melon Sin Semillas - this cocktail blew my mind. It was a lovely balance of flavor and aroma and a nice way to start the meal. I've never had a milk punch before (spoiler, it's not milky. Don't let the name deter you). It's quite refreshing. Pulpo- incredibly tender and fresh Short Rib- very tender with a delicious sauce Halibut- great for sharing, but I really should have ordered my own because this was SO GOOD. Basque Cheesecake with strawberry compote - indulgent, but not overly sweet. A great way to top off the meal. My favorite was the japanese wagyu, soooo good, totally worth it. More so, the sauce they serve with the wagyu, it was phenomenal. I was really excited to try this place as it came recommended by a few people. Two of us were pregnant and one was not. It was our first time and the initial thing I noticed is our server didn't really help or offer assistance on the menu or recommendations. I ordered a mocktail gin drink as well and I did like that but the server making it wasn't engaging or friendly while at the barcart. We started with the olives, pattas bravas, and the Brie dish. None of them were anything special, sadly. They weren't bad but also weren't good. We then ordered the ensalada and salmon and both were underwhelming! The salad has almost nothing on it and the salmon was tiny and lacked flavor. I also requested an outdoor table at 5:30 but when we got there she said they sadly sat the last shaded table. Being pregnant in almost 90 degree heat was brutal and took away from the beautiful ambiance! I will say that was the best part - the views and location. Stunning! We went here for our wedding anniversary and had one of the best meals I've ever had. First off they knew it was our anniversary and we're so nice to us -- the hostess, the waiter. We got a couple of pours of free cava for the appetizers. The waiter knew everything and explained really patiently to us and helped us order the perfect meal for us. He even took some killer photos for us -- portrait mode and everything. Second -- the view is stellar. The Flatirons are right there - so close it feels like you can touch them. We visited Corrida for Valentine's brunch and weren't exactly met with the experience we had hoped for...we booked one of your domes for the full experience and were seated at a small table inside instead. While yes this was a disappointing circumstance, I understand systems sometimes don't work properly and mistakes happen. What upset me more was the hostess acting as if we weren't telling the truth and, instead of approaching in an apologetic and hospitable manner, essentially saying "sorry nothing we can do, take it or leave it". Bit frustrating. Later on, I was bumped while sipping my drink by an employee cleaning crumbs off the table. The entire drink spilled all over me (and my nice dress I had on for Valentine's Day), all over the table, all over the floor. She proceeded to help me clean up the mess, which was very very sweet of her!! I don't mind spilling something, who cares, it happens, but my frustration here was that not only was I now without a drink, but nobody offered to comp said spilt drink or replace it? Very surprised by the lack of customer service and support. Another mistake by them swept under the rug. I think there is absolutely room for improvement here. Food was bomb though! But the drinks and service are also why we love Corrida. It's really special in the spring, fall, and summer when you can sit outside, but even in the winter we had an amazing meal and dining experience. We love the shishito peppers and all 6 of us agreed they were the best we have ever had. The beef tenderloin is cooked to perfection with such. Great flavor. We also had the mushrooms in polenta, the grilled octopus and charcuterie as starters. For sides we shared the fries and broccolini. All delicious. We love coming here and cannot wait to go back. If you're been looking for a fine dining restaurant with beautiful views and an incredible menu, you definitely would be making a big mis-STEAK if you don't stop by Corrida. With gorgeous views of the Flat Irons, Corrida offers both indoor, outdoor, and heated outdoor pod seating. Even more impressive is their menu- as someone who's eaten quite her fair share of restaurants, I was blown away by how meticulously and masterfully prepared every dish was. I highly recommend ordering the Pulpo (octopus), bison, and wagyu bavette, which were all cooked to tender yet beautifully flavorful perfection. I also loved how they had a gin cart that came around to make your cocktail table side, and they also have quite an extensive cocktail and wine menu if you don't like gin. Our servers were kind and helpful, although the later two seemed younger, less experienced, and nervous regarding their suggestions and presentation of the dishes, but they definitely compensated for lapses or delays in service by comping both our dessert and first round of drinks. Overall, highly recommend stopping by if you're in the Boulder area for an unforgettable experience and what I like to call one of the best dinners of my life! Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Boulder, which is dangerous because you can't just show up to Corrida and not drop your life savings. First of all--the people are the best. Whether you're there for happy hour on the rooftop to enjoy the views and get GTs or you're having a very bougie dinner date, the people definitely know how to make you feel special. Liam is the best--please keep that young, spirited, energy! Josh--the somm--is clearly passionate about his job, and it's amazing to hear the stories he tells about their selections. The food. Yes, it's pricey, but I'm sure that's the surcharge for the ambiance and service. The HH menu is fun--you can't miss the Bright and the bread. And the AlpenGlobe experience is spectacular--the food & the wine pairings are just so excellent. I think it might even give Frasca's Globe experience a run for its money. Food 4/5 - Delicious, clean presentation, but nothing out of the ordinary. Most importantly, it was not worth the poor service we received Service 1/5 - We were mainly disappointed in the level of service we received. The restaurant was heavily staffed so we were naturally anticipating great service. Unfortunately, service was very slow and our server had no personality. He did not seem confident in selling anything on the menu and described wines incorrectly resulting in me ordering something not worth the price. He also rang in the wrong wine (which ended up being a good mistake since I enjoyed that wrong wine more). Other staff we encountered were friendly but all checked in our table at all the wrong times. Ambiance 4/5 - Patio views were beautiful! I would definitely recommend going at a sunset time. Again, 4 stars due to their lack of genuine and anticipatory service. Overall, i don't know that I would happily recommend this restaurant to friends and family. tough call on whether this is a 3 or 4 star review, but am opting for a 3 start here. Corrida has one of the best locations in boulder, and the view is to die for. So that is a big part of the attraction and what would make this a must visit destiation if you are coming to Boulder. That said, the primary complaint is value for money, which is poor. Corrida is a fine dining establishment and it lives up to this in most regards. The service is outstanding as is the overall ambiance. We ordered a number of different things: 1. Bread - very good, would get again 2. Crudo - very tasty, but literally barely any fish on it, which was really surprising. they did themselves a disservice by giving you what amounted to one piece of sashimi, cut up small, and lathered in sauce. Wouldn't order it again. 3. Asparagus - decent 4. Potatoes - Terrible. The server specifically highlighted them over the frech fries, but they were awful unfortuntaely, the expensive steaks were just OK. The Bison was quite good, but the Wagyu steak we had was served kind of cold and was just OK in my opinion. could have used more seasoning. wine was expensive for what it was - had a pretty heavy tannin aftertaste. But to give a sense for pricing, they had a tomahawk steak for 2 offering that i think was either $350 or $400+. thats one steak for 2 people. It was age dried, etc, but those are price points that are extremely high in Boulder. We were on business and didnn't opt for this. So i think our bill was something like $600 all in for a party of 2. That's a lot of money for the quality of what we had. Service and atmosphere: 5 stars Tapas: 2 stars Review for the tapas only. I had wonderful memories from Corrida when I visited with a few girlfriends after it opened in 2018. I've wanted to go back with my husband ever since, and we finally went recently for my birthday. Since I don't eat steak, even if it's a Spanish inspired steakhouse, we decided to get tapas for dinner. The chef is different from when they first opened but the view remains amazing and the atmosphere is still modern and minimalist, the focus being on the Flatirons with plenty of glass walls. Service was impeccable, attentive and I must say with the views it was the best part of the meal. For drinks, the sangria was perfect to go with tapas. We started with a couple Gildas, each of them consisting of a big pickled pepper stuffed olive and a rolled anchovy. It was good, but nothing out of the ordinary, the anchovy was not the white kind, it tasted just like any old one you'd find in a can at the local supermarket. We also had the olive oil bread, very light and tasty but the paprika butter was strangely bland, maybe a little bit of salt would have done the trick. Once again nothing to rave about. Then we ordered a few tapas. I always cringe when I see tapas in the $25 to $30 dollar range (not uncommon around here unfortunately). When in Spain, these are small plates that cost just a few dollars each that you get before dinner with a drink, I should not compare but it's hard not to. At Corrida, for $16 you get canned sardines, and I was curious to see what was so special about those to justify them being on the menu. The best part was the citrus breadcrumbs that came with the sad little sardines. The ones I buy at Costco are actually more flavorful than Corrida's. Wondering if I was missing something, I googled best canned sardines, and according to Saveur you can easily find a can for $10 (the best from Portugal supposedly). Tinned fish has become very trendy thanks to TikTok but that doesn't mean it should show up in an upscale restaurant. Thank you but I can fix that in my own kitchen. We also had the pork belly and the black cod, both good but once again a tapas size portion (meaning very small) at an entrée size price. These are under the shared tapas, meaning they are slightly bigger, but you'd still need two or three per person to be full (and I don't eat large quantities), so at respectively $24 and $27 dollars each, you do the math. Sadly we were not on a business account when visiting. We shared a white chocolate passion fruit pie (because at $15, I feel bad ordering two, even on my birthday) and it was fine. I'll admit it doesn't help that I just spend a week in Paris where in most cafés the food is good and cheap. And in the best pastry shops in town, in a salon de thé such as Pierre Hermé on the Champs Elysées, for less than $10, you get a pastry that's simply amazing. So after spending $200 on a few tapas, a couple sangrias and a couple beers plus one dessert, I'll say dinner was underwhelming. Is it worth the beautiful view and superb service? I am afraid not, expensive is not synonym with tasty and it's not because a lot of people in Boulder can afford to pay $16 for canned tiny sardines that they should offer it. I personally find it borderline insulting. So, my last experience was quite different from the previous one. Corrida was never a cheap restaurant, and that's fine, after all you also pay for the setting, but I find this last version of Corrida way overpriced, arrogant even when daring to offer canned fish as tapas (there's also canned tuna that we didn't try). I don't care if it comes from the Basque region, that doesn't not make is automatically tasty. Disappointing. read more

Great view. Ok food. Certainly not worth the price. We opted for the Mikan Buri Japanese yellowtail share plate as an appetizer; we were told the compatirs were larger share plates. We were told that the yellowtail had been hand-fed orange juice during its lifetime. What emerged was perhaps 8 thin 3/4" x 2" see-through shavings of yellow tail and radish slices in orange drizzle. The halibut was small and unremarkable. The tenderloin was fine. Service was spotty. I had to ask for the glass of wine to go with the tenderloin four times before it finally arrived. Even though I chose this place to have dinner, I didn't realize how fancy it was. We were definitely underdressed in our hiking gear LOL. The menu is pretty limited and consists of mostly tapas. We ended up sharing the fideo and some bone marrow. Both dishes had an interesting take on it. Bone marrow is always a treat, with the buttery, fatty spread that tastes so good with the crunchy bread that accompanies it. This particular dish also had meat on top! The fideo was their take on the traditional paella. I enjoyed this dish a lot. I like how the noodles were crunchy and had shrimp on top. Service was really nice. We were checked up on often and didn't felt discriminated against, even though I felt that we were not dressed appropriately. read more
