My husband and I moved from Boulder to Longmont, Colorado in 1999. Rarely get to Boulder anymore due to various health issues. But took drive up Canyon. Lovely Decided to go to Ironwood for late lunch. Reserved table for two. Got there 3:30 friendly young man with dark hair and beard let us pick a table. Chose outdoor patio overlooking flatirons.. gorgeous Colorado day. We did get too hot in sun, greeter moved us to a table in shade. Tanya, proprietor, greeted us with friendly kindness, took our photographs, and we chatted. This place is unbelievably beautiful set on a majestic, quiet green golf course in the south of Boulder, Colorado my husband and I lived in Boulder 1982 until 199. it is now like a mini vacation for us since we are in our 70s now and partially disabled. Chairs comfortable . Music at that time was reggae, played low so pleasant for having conversations. Some restaurants blast their music so loud, you can't hear what the other people are saying. We love reggae, but don't like loud music. I had a cocktail Husband had play rehearsal, so drank iced tea My drink: Lavender Smoke $14.00. Rosaluna Mescal, Lavender, Fresh Lime, agave This cocktail was absolutely a work of art, and I thought decent price. I got crabcake from starters menu with arugula. Beyond delicious . Husband and I have lived on coasts. Including Maryland and Connecticut. This crab was as fresh as any either of us has had living on the sea shores. Husband had lamb from starters Mediterranean style. he loved it. We decided this is now our birthday anniversary and Christmas Restaurant . We lived in Gold Hill for three years and used to love driving to the Gold Hill Inn for celebrations. But very bumpy, long drive . Haven't been able to find any place we utterly loved until finding Ironwood. We love love love this place!!! We have traveled extensively in our younger years. We have eaten at La Perla in Iceland. Upscale restaurants and pubs in Ireland, Scotland, England. Local foods in Kenya, India, Afghanistan and all over the USA. Ironwood is up there with all the finest restaurants and has down home, friendly servers, bartender, greeter, and Owner

Man what happened to this place…read more. Jasmine used to be my favorite bar in the area. They provided a varied menu with incredibly unique and delicious drinks with an upscale yet cozy vibe inside. However our last visit was anything but. Supposedly they've made the decision to drop the entire "old menu" as the bartender called it in favor for an uninspired and honestly boring Christmas menu with drinks that weren't even remotely on the level of their previous offerings. Yet the prices were actually higher than their standards. This current menu feels like something you'd pay $11 for at a dive or chain restaurant. After a relatively long wait for service, we ordered 3 drinks, having to repeat ourselves multiple times to the hostess that didn't seem to have any clue of what their drinks were called. Of the 3, none of them included the garnishes that were outlined in the menu, and one drink was completely wrong. We were allowed to keep it and had it replaced at no cost at least, but even the replacement did not have the correct garnish per the menu. I'm praying this place didn't sell out and it's just in some strange transition period between seasons but I won't be returning to check until some time after the new year and these awful drinks are gone. For now, go to Nora's.

It was less fancy/pretty than I thought it would be, but it's a good place to get a strong drink (based on the menu/ingredients - they all looked pretty strong!) and sit/relax. There was plenty of free parking on the main road, and some seating out front which was just outside. Would be a nice hang spot during the pleasant spring and fall months, or summer evenings!

The vibe is dark, elegant, and cool without trying too hard -- it really feels like a secret hideout (but in the best way). Drinks? Insanely good. Their "Nora's Version" menu reimagines classic cocktails with modern twists, and every single one we tried was a hit. Balanced, bold, and beautifully crafted. Food is simple but hits the spot -- charcuterie, grilled cheese, and pretzel bites that pair perfectly with the cocktails. Bonus: You get a welcome sip when you arrive! Such a fun touch that set the tone for a great night. Run, don't walk. Louisville, you've got something really special here.

I saw it had good ratings online; unfortunately I came on a day my stomach was already bothering me but I wanted to have a look. It's a very low light, date night vibe inside. The barista was super friendly, and I saw online they'd had a very sweet cocktail from a few years back - I asked her about it and she didn't have all the ingredients but offered to make me something similar. I declined because I felt like i shouldn't be drinking with my stomach feeling off, but it's exactly the type of place I like to check out, the menu was cool. I will definitely try to make it back one of these days when passing back through the area! Also had lots of free street parking all along the main road ~

The inside is a little bit divey in feel but more upscale than your typical dive bar. They had tons of seating, and I saw next to a fireplace because it looked cozy (it was). The server was quick to take my order even though it was pretty busy in there (was rush weekend I think for the university?). I had the tin man HH cocktail because my server said it would be the most floral (has elderflower in it) and I quite liked it! Was very refreshing, not too strong. Aside notes: the bathrooms were quite clean. Parking was a little chaotic, some is paid parking and some is free 2 hour. There are only a couple spots right in front, I had to park a few blocks down but it was in 2hr free park by another small business that was closed for the day. I didn't have any issues there. Overall thought this was a fun little bar in Boulder with good happy hour drinks, I would def come back :)

The bartenders were all super nice and we enjoyed chatting with them. We weren't there to eat, but the food looked good. I would love to come back and order off of the Happy Hour menu. I couldn't find the happy hour times anywhere online, but they are 3-6 and 8-close every day.

I think the best thing about River and Woods is the interior and exterior decoration. It is very clear that a lot of thought and time was put into the atmosphere here. From the cute door knocker to the bathroom wallpaper, the theme is well-executed. The food was a bit disappointing. The blue oyster mushroom appetizer was extremely salty. I thought it was just me but the rest of the table agreed as well. My trout was well-cooked and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The chicken was also salty although cooked well. I did not try the burger but I was told it was salty as well. The prices of all the items were quite high for what I thought was presented. Service was good and thankfully our waters were filled frequently for how much water we were drinking due to the high salt content.

The salad had the best vinaigrette and while I didn't take a picture (I was so excited to eat that I forgot), the steak frites was out of this world. The jamon fat fries were insane. So crispy and so flavorful. But the steak? Woah. Not a big portion, but that's not surprising for tapas! Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly-- aka, perfection.
