The salad was pretty basic consisting of tasteless tomatoes and a sour tasting mozzarella We split a Sicilian Pizza hoping it might be better than the traditional ones we tried in the past. Soggy curst topped with a sour tomato topping and under cooked Pepperoni. Not only do they serve lousy food, but they are terrible neighbors as well. I live 2 miles away and even with my windows shut, I could still hear the live music. These folks suck for our community and really need to focus on being in the hospitality business. Their menu is a joke, and their pizza makes driving to Longmont for a pie worth the trip. Their food is much better compared to what they call home brewed beer.

One genuinely great thing about this place: everything is gluten-free, which makes it an easy pick whenever family visits since a few of them can't do gluten. That said, I'm personally a big flour-tortilla person, so if that's your preference too, just know this isn't that, but I still really enjoy coming here regardless. One thing I was intrigued by before coming here was that the corn is flown in from Mexico, celebrating and providing a cultural experience. No one ingredient overpowered the dishes service, and even the spice was there, but not to a miserable level that often leaves me suffering as I eat my food. I had the sopes de picadillo and the taco de puesto. Seriously a glorious meal. I wish I was hungrier so I could try more. For me, the flavors are more like a 3/5: the beef tasted a bit stronger than I'm used to, hate to use the word "gamey" but that's the best description I can use. The fries made in beef tallow also had a distinctive taste that wasn't necessarily bad but not my favorite. The only item that was a 1/5 for me was the shake, where I had to just say no and barely could have three tastes of it. The sweetness was just too unusual for me. However, I might just be used to more standard food (usually more into In n Out or Shake Shack or Good Times vibes) so I'm happy I tried this and encourage others to check it out for themselves!

While I was there though I was not going to pass up the chance to get some empanadas but since I didn't come with an agenda I just told the guy behind the counter give me two choices of whatever you think is good. I appreciated when instead of questioning or getting confused or asking a follow up he just "you got it boss" and entered in the choices without thinking twice. I knew that he was a real one for this. I got my mate which they have on tap! On tap mate is dangerous but it was very delicious. They had two flavors one mixed with orange juice and one that was simply sweetened (not overly sweet at all. Less sweet than any yellow canned mate you might be thinking of). I tried both choices and the orange juice one was really good but after a full glass I felt a little weighed down. I can't remember the last time I drank that much orange juice. The food comes out and this is where my review is going to get unhelpful. I have no idea what either of these are called and honestly I don't need to know. The flavors were on point for both. One was a traditional seeming empanada with a ground beef mixture on the inside. Not spicy but the flavors were robust. The outer layer of the empanada was also flavorful but fell apart a bit from the heavy sog of beef filling. The taste was still great for all of it and it came with some kind of chimichurri adjacent sauce on the side that was maybe the best thing about the empanada. The second choice was less of an empanada and more of a tart or small pie? It had cheese and corn for the filling and was extremely gooey. Like more gooey than it had any right to be. I don't need to tell you that the combination of crust, cheese, and corn was delicious. If anything it was maybe a little too simple but I could eat that any day of the week and be happy. I got a wonderful table outside under some shade and gave my baby daughter some bites of the meat filling. She loved it. Left after drinking two more cups of the standard mate and felt amazing.
