    Empanadas
    Ian N.

The pastry was flaky and crispy and I liked how each empanada was so full of meat. #2 Carne Picante (5/5): Not super spicy but had a little bit of kick. Great blend of flavors (I liked that the olive flavor came through but wasn't too strong). #4 Criolla (5/5): Honestly, I couldn't really tell the difference between this one and the #2. #8 Pollo Barbacoa (3/5): Not as good as the beef empanadas. The bbq seasoning and mozzarella cheese weren't really for me. RATING SYSTEM 5 - Great (Need to get this again) 4 - Good (Would get this again) 3 - Ok (Might give this another shot) 2 - Not Good (Won't get this again) 1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

They have indoor and outdoor seating, and is a great place for a quick meal. You order at the counter and grab a table number and sit. I tried the Criolla and Hongos, both were tasty in filling and had especially good pastry. The bottom was a tad soggy, but it was overall great.

The restaurant is easy to get into but parking is limited. The restaurant is cozy and has a decent amount of seats. Ordering is easy and empanadas are delicious and filling. It's a good value for the quality of empanadas. Totally forgot I went here a long time ago. Good find again!

This place is incredible! I am Argentine and I felt like the food was authentic and well prepared. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor seating area all done very tastefully and surrounded by Argentine memorabilia! It was so fun to look at the walls and see all the different pictures. Food came out fairly quick and was brought to my table indicated with a number sign they give you when you purchase your food near the entrance. Will absolutely be trying more items on the menu!

They are the experts at takeout. Especially if you want to feed a crowd with easy catering. But we do it for ourselves often too. The empanadas are packed in pizza style boxes and they stay warm if your drive is short. But they are so easy to warm back up, on a sheet pan in your oven. Since many are meat based, I always make a bowl of frozen sweet corn which seems to pair with every flavor empanadas. They even make a vegan flavor and I've seen them packed separately at an event I attended that were catered with empanadas from Rincon Argentina. There were also full boxes of many of their most popular flavors and labeled for easy selection. Staff is well trained and friendly and it is still family owned and they are very often on the premises themselves. There are choices of salsas and you get a serving cup with every 3 empanadas. And you can request which flavor you want. I always take the verde but there is also a chimichurri . Pricing is very reasonable too.

Best empanadas around! I gif one at the airport and hard as a rock, had to come here just to get the taste out. Eat them here or take them home, frozen. Flaky and full of great stuff. Great friendly service. To

Stopped here while in town, cheap, high quality and delicious, and the lady taking our order was very nice! Love the cute decor and home-y vibe!

What's with the size portions? See my pic. The caprese is tiny maybe 2 bites. Also the pics on Yelp from the past shows a traditional moon shaped which appears to have more of a doughy type exterior. And closed not open face, they appear bigger in the pics from 2-3 years ago. These new, smaller open faced ones r pricey for what u get at $5.75 each. If u really like them then its a better value to buy their 6 pack frozen to go

I stand by my original review and say boldly that Rincon Argentino has my favorite empanadas of all time. Not to mention, their sandwiches are huge and absolutely delicious. What a great, family run business that has such a welcoming atmosphere, on point service, and some of the tastiest food on the front range. Order at the counter, get a number, and wait to be blown away

Our first dinner in Boulder was at Rincon Argentino, and it did not disappoint. You can get both empanadas or sandwiches here, and since empanadas are hard to find in our hometown, that's what we went with. When you order, you are given a number to place on your table and wait, and a server brings your order to you. It does take awhile to prepare and deliver your order, as this is not fast food. They do have some board games and puzzles available which are great for kids or kids at heart. I had a #15 Choclo empanada and a #3 Gaucho empanada. You can order the Gaucho empanada with Beyond Meat, which is what I got, and I'm thankful for so many vegetarian options here. My husband had the Gaucho empanada with real meat, the BBQ chicken empanada, and fries . We also shared a salad because we needed some vegetables in our diet after a day of hiking. All of our empanadas were delicious. This was my first time trying Beyond Meat, and while I'm not usually a big fan of meat substitutes, it was really good in an empanada. We tried the sauces, but our empanadas were flavorful even without them. I haven't been to Argentina or traveled extensively to know if these are "authentic" or not, but they sure hit the spot after a day of hiking.

Called in an order about 40 min before closing and the woman taking my order couldn't have been any nicer. It was my first time trying empanadas here, so I wasn't quite sure which sauces to get, but she helped me out with that. The last time I had empanadas was in NYC, years ago, and they were absolutely delicious--this place may have topped the one in NYC because of the flaky pastry. As other reviewers have said, once you taste the gaucho empanada, the others won't taste as good. I wish I had started with either the spinach or mushroom one first, because the gaucho was by far the most flavorful. The gaucho ended up being all of our favorites. I think I'll pass on the spinach and mushroom ones in the future since they tasted a bit bland to me. Highly recommend this restaurant! I'll be returning soon!

Whoa. I don't know why it took me so long to try this place. But these empanadas are what dreams are made of! Highly recommend the #4 empanada. It was insanely flavorful and filling. The sandwhich was good as well but compared to the empanada it was less exciting. The ambiance is cool and very Messi inspired. lol Anyways, definitely a must hit spot in Boulder!

Is the outdoor seating dog friendly?

    Yes it is! 👍

Is there any vegan items? THANK YOU ALL I WILL BE VISITING FROM SAN ANTONIO TEXAS THE FIRST WEEK OF…

We have two vegan empanadas. The spinach empanada has fresh spinach, sautéed onions, red bell peppers, pine nuts and lemon. The mushroom empanada has three types of wild mushrooms with parsley, garlic and lemon. Hope that helps :)

The service was so poor we had to keep requesting items-only to see them go to other tables and not ours. I requested "bone-in ribeye" 5x, and almost 2 hrs later one did show up, but not after half the table was done. Several orders of pichana were so overly done that it could have passed for beef jerky. Often the signature fat cap was left off as the gaucho cut the piece top to bottom. It's not like the selections were not ready, we could clearly see them making their way through the restaurant, only to be thwarted a few tables away. I requested chimmichuri for the 6 of us, got 2 1oz ramekins a half hour later. No apology, no explanation why this tiny amount was to serve 6 adults. When we were done, no "thank you for choosing Fogo de Chao". Other locations, the head server or manager would frequent each table-not here. And maybe that's why it is-what it is. Never coming back here again.
