    Guacamole
    Juliana L.

I started following Gaucho Parrilla a couple of months ago on instagram and, after seeing lots of tempting food pictures, I was finally able to check it out. We came on a Monday night, so "Freedom Street Social," the food hall that Gaucho Parrilla is in, was relatively quiet. We were able to order our food from Gaucho Parrilla immediately and only waited about 10-15 minutes for the food to be ready. We ordered the guacamole and two Churrasco A La Brasas as our entrees. First of all, the guacamole was one of the best I have had. Instead of chips, Gaucho prepares strips of fried plaintains to dip in the guac. It was inventive and quite tasty. The churrasco (skirt steak) was served in a skillet together with patatas bravas (potato wedges), which allowed the juicy flavors from the steak to mix with the potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and the seasoning and chimichurri sauce was perfection.

Name another food hall housing an Argentinian-inspired, wood-fired restaurant serving up a properly cooked steak? I'll wait. Gaucho Parrilla has blossomed into the standout food stall inside Freedom Street Social. Much of that praise comes back to Chef Oscar Padilla who's cooking up incredible and mouth watering eats. Churrasco A La Brasa ($25) // 8 oz. skirt steak, patatas bravas, chimichurri. For starters, skirt steak is one of the most underrated cuts of meat and more restaurants should utilize it as an entrée. This was tender and a perfect medium rare. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The accompanying sauce was excellent. And the chimichurri? I dare you to find a better one. PS, the presentation of this dish in the cast iron skillet was a nice touch. Apparently their brunch is one of the best in town. It's on the bucket list and will report back! Freedom Street Social has one of the best food hall lineups in the entire metro if you ask me. But this place in particular has truly taken off and you can tell by the line on a Friday night. Just a unique and fun concept executed to perfection!

This was one of the best breakfast that I have ever had in Colorado. The food is beyond good at this location. The location is extremely far if you live downtown or on the east, south or far north side of town plan accordingly. Gaucho Parrilla is located in a food hall on the far west side of Arvada. They have many different options to choose from if you are hungry or would like a drink. The entire group I was with shared a bowl of the Guacamole A La Parrilla (mango guacamole). The chips were plantain chips, I love plantain. The mango gave the guacamole an incredible taste, and I could eat this every day for the rest of my life. On the brunch menu, I chose to order the Patagonian Skillet. It came with bread, sausage, eggs that I ordered over medium, and potatoes. I spread the mango guac on the toast which was divine. My friends had steak and empanadas. I have to eat here again, definitely worth the far drive. The brunch prices were well set. My goodness I can't get enough of this place!

Gaucho Parilla is located in the newer Freedom Street Social building, along with other restaurants. Great concept! How to start writing about all this goodness?! Let's begin with the open wood fire grill. Now, pair this with fresh ingredients that are all made with love and passion for food. You can't beat it! We started with the Roasted Cauliflower. Not only was the roasted Cauliflower perfectly cooked, but the presentation was on point. It was served in a medium-sized cast iron pan, nicely plated with their honey chili garlic sauce and spicy pumpkin seeds accommodated by the fresh Fresno Chilis. Even if you don't care for this sturdy winter vegetable, Gaucho's roasting of it amps up its flavor. My only feedback for this dish is for the team to consider warming the skillet before plating the Cauliflower versus it being served in a cold pan. Next, we chose their homemade Chorizo Empanadas. These savory hand pies are tasty and filled appropriately. The pastry was light and buttery but slightly oily due to them being fried. I would recommend patting them dry a little bit more before serving. Last, we ordered the Churrasco a La Brasa, shirt steak with patatas bravas (crispy potatoes), with chimichurri. For me, this dish was not as flavorful or as tasty as I had hoped. Why? Imagine you have a good cut of meat that came wrapped from the butcher, but you left the meat in its original packaging longer than it should have been. Unless you season the meat, marinate it, pat it dry, etc., the meat will have an iron-y taste to it which isn't that good. In addition, they seemed to cut the meat with the grain versus against the grain, which caused it to be chewy. For this and the reason mentioned above, I deleted one star from the overall review. However, this will not stop us from eating here again. While their location is within a food court-type atmosphere, their food is not, and they elevate what they cook. Their menu is small but mighty and has good offerings. You can tell the team cooks with their heart and thoroughly enjoys what they do. I highly recommend stopping by!

I absolutely love that this is one of the newest eateries at Freedom Street Social. This is our third time dining here and it has been excellent each time. Chef Oscar Padilla is a local chef and happens to be the winner of Food Network's Chopped. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu, but the Churrasco is one of my favorites! The chimichurri pares perfectly with the meat. The meat is perfectly seasoned and cooked to my preferred temp or medium rare. I would highly recommend trying out Oscar's eatery anytime of day.

Fun Fact: Chef Oscar Padilla recently won Food Network's Chopped! Located in the epic food hall Freedom Street Social, this concept wowed me with an Aregentinian Archuras Platter (sausages, chorizo, and cheeses) and some roasted cauliflower (honey-chili garlic sauce, fresno chiles salad, spicy pumpkin seeds). I'm always excited to try out cuisines from South American countries, and this food was legit! Plus, Freedom Street offers a variety of seating options, and I found the vibe to be friendly and welcoming.

This eatery inside freedom street social is next level. Their menu, flavor, plating, and service are all an 11/10. You can tell they really care about the food they produce Their grilled meats had my partner drooling and this cauliflower was smoky and gorgeous. While you're in freedom street I recommend trying something from a few places and this is a MUST.

This Restaurant is an incredible experience; DELISIOSO! It's in my opinion the best Restaurant at Freedom Social and the whole staff is passionate about the food they serve. I got to meet the owner and his wife and you can feel the positive energy they give off. That energy goes right into the food; you really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The Salmon Sliders are packed with flavor and it was really hard to not order another round of them. The Elk Burger is a MUST, get it Medium Rare. The owner told me it recently won the award for Best Burger and it LIVES UP TO THE HYPE.

    Patagonian Skillet. Delicious brunch item!

Love, love, love this place. The food has always been amazing. The steak was the best. Brunch was also amazing. Oscar has been there every time I've visited and he has always been super friendly and accommodating. I hope this restaurant stays at Freedom Street Social.

Came here for brunch. While I love the food hall concept and I support them in every way, I must share my experience I've had today... Revuelto argentino -bacon and eggs, french fries, with toasted hamburger bun, room temperature, chimichurri, in heavy oiled skillet. This was okay, portion was small, I don't think the heavy amount of oil was really necessary it did not add flavor. Churrasco and eggs-steak was good, room temperature, chimichurri, french fries, basic stuff, again heavy oil not necessary. Pancakes-overcooked, taste of tap water, offset by powdered sugar, better off at IHOP or first watch. Al Fuego fruit-excellent and yet very basic, very refreshing. Empanada-they have small thick dough deep fried version very tasty. Overall dishes seem fairly basic for all the raving, but considering it's in candela options are limited out here. Small portions for the price. Service was outstanding but you are also paying for that at checkout with the tip 18-25% default.

Authentic & well-crafted Argentina food! The attention to detail & friendly service make this place a welcomed addition to our town.

The service was so poor we had to keep requesting items-only to see them go to other tables and not ours. I requested "bone-in ribeye" 5x, and almost 2 hrs later one did show up, but not after half the table was done. Several orders of pichana were so overly done that it could have passed for beef jerky. Often the signature fat cap was left off as the gaucho cut the piece top to bottom. It's not like the selections were not ready, we could clearly see them making their way through the restaurant, only to be thwarted a few tables away. I requested chimmichuri for the 6 of us, got 2 1oz ramekins a half hour later. No apology, no explanation why this tiny amount was to serve 6 adults. When we were done, no "thank you for choosing Fogo de Chao". Other locations, the head server or manager would frequent each table-not here. And maybe that's why it is-what it is. I also really enjoyed the sides that come with the meal especially the fries, plantains, mashed potatoes, and pão de queijo, which were all tasty and a highlight of the dinner. However, the meats weren't as flavorful as I expected, as if they under seasoned the meats. Some cuts were decent, but overall they didn't stand out the way I hoped they would. Service was a bit mixed. Our waitress was polite, but there seemed to be some language barrier issues, which led to a misunderstanding when we were charged for a birthday dessert after being told it would be free. To their credit, the manager came by and corrected the mistake, comped the dessert, and also applied a 10% military discount, which I appreciated. Another issue was that the churrasqueiros (the servers bringing the meats) would still approach the table even when the card was turned to "no meat." It felt like they weren't really paying attention to the signal system, which is a key part of the dining experience at a place like this. Overall, the salad bar and sides were great, but the meat quality and service consistency could be better. I appreciated the manager stepping in to fix the dessert issue, but the experience didn't quite live up to expectations.
