We arrived for brunch on a Saturday, party of 8. Staff was super accommodating! If you have not been here, it is a somewhat small dining area, filled with regulars, locals and lives up to the name! And on the weekend, very busy! Wait time was very reasonable. Busy but very acceptable sound level. Not like other nearby breakfast places that bought out The Egg and I. I took an elderly friend who had recently lost her husband for lunch after church. We had our lunch and she was needing some time to talk. She was reaching out because she is struggling with depression. We were asked to leave so they could seat another group. This was so rude and inconsiderate. My niece decided to try this place on the way back to Golden from Arvada. If you're interested with ambience more than the quality of food, this place is not for you. The dining area is on the small side and somewhat crowded, however, the food and service more than make up for this. My niece had the Denver omelette and I had the Florentine eggs Benedict. Both dishes came with a side of delicious hash brown potatoes and the omelette came with a choice of 3 different kinds of bread. The Florentine Benedict was outstanding, 2 eggs served on English muffins with sautéed spinach. The portions are huge and the quality was unexpectedly great. Very good lunch/breakfast sport in Arvada. Limited tables inside so be ready for a wait. While everything our group ate was good, there was really nothing outstanding. My chicken fried steak was just a frozen patty with not much flavor and would have looked much more appetizing if it was served with the gravy on it. The chili cheese fries were tasty but would have been better if they were hot. The coffee is very mediocre so please take note. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff and hostess. Hidden Gem. Think snooze meets steuben's at half price. Sleepy part of Arvada burbs in a plaza across from a gas station, but we're not here for ambiance or even service. A few reviewers have already mentioned the poor and slow service here and I unfortunately had one of those experiences. Came on Saturday around noon and it was pretty busy but only had to wait about 15 min to get a table for 2. 5 stars for the lady who's always walking refilling your coffee. Your cup will never be empty with her around! 2 stars for everything else. I get that places get busy and things can be slow. But 45 min wait for food seems pretty unacceptable - especially when not once during those 45 min did anyone check up on us (except the amazing coffee lady). What pissed me off though was how our waitress checked up frequently on the table literally next to us to apologize to them for the wait. Why do they get to be treated like actual customers and us like literal wall flowers? Idk you tell me. She also let that table know that there was an extra delay in the kitchen cuz they had to make a new batch of bacon. But you know what was supposed to be on my entree but didn't get? Bacon. I got no communication about it what so ever though. And of course That table next to us got their bacon. I ordered a Breakfast pizza with sausage gravy and you can choose from a list of toppings. The concept seemed great but wasn't executed very well. The dough and the sausage gravy were bland. My husband and I LOVED this place. The menu was great, the food was even better, and the service was the best of all! The food came out faster than fast food, but the food was perfectly cooked to order. Our server was as sweet, helpful, and attentive. I could tell the staff knew the regulars, they remembered their names and their orders. The breakfast burritos looked huge and amazing. The Reuben had a ton of fresh sliced/chopped corned beef. The coffee is good although not quite like a gourmet coffee shop- so we come for the food- not a fancy coffee beverage. I had a delightful breakfast here this morning. The food was delicious but the real treasure was sitting at the bar and chatting with the lovely servers. I was passing through and wanted a good home style breakfast and I ordered a country steak breakfast with a side of biscuits and gravy. The breakfast was so delicious and the waitress was nice. The restaurant was small but very busy so I was happy I beat the rush . Ladies were busy but that's always a good sign. The meal did not disappoint at all. Great place to get that old style home cooking! When I saw the reviews on Yelp I decided we should try this place. It is stuck out there just past the kohl's on west 64th. It's not visible from the Main Street so you have to know exactly where it is to get directions but it is easy to get to. I meant to take pictures but had a lapse of memory on that one. It's a small place but all the tables have checkerboard cloths on them. The menu is impressive. There are plenty of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. As you walk in they seat you and provide menus so no guesswork there! Once seated they first provided drinks to us. I preferred water but the spouse tried their raspberry tea. She loved it! Not too sweet and so tasty that she had plenty of that while we ate and they even gave her a to go cup full of it. That was a nice touch! We decided on lunch and had the reuben sandwich and the turkey melt. Both were quite good and we took leftovers home for a second meal. It's great to find new places that hit the spot and this definitely did. The spouse noticed that mostly older people were dining there which tells me that this is a sweet spot for the older generation. Being in that generation we relaxed and enjoyed the meal. I can see where at times there could be a wait since the restaurant itself is not that big even though it is tastefully decorated. No question we shall return! The service was good and they made us feel very welcome. Count this place as among the best for breakfast and lunch. It's open everyday from 7am-2pm except closed on mondays. I was referred to Biscuits and Gravy, breakfast burrito smothered, or the French toast. I ordered the Arvada which was hash browns smothered in green chili topped with shredded cheese and a tortilla, and a Al La cart biscuit and gravy and a cup of coffee and water. The food was satisfying outside of it not being traditionally homemade. You can tell the gravy was from a pack and the green chili tatsed a little sour as if they used canned green chilies.
