Over the years I've heard a advertising spot on KOA radio about this local diner. They have 3 locations, 2 in Lakewood and 1 on West 38th in Wheat Ridge. Since I going to recycling afterwards, the closest was in Wheat Ridge. Classic diner with old style knotty pine walls and simple tables. Nice large menu for breakfast and lunch. They are open 630am-2pm daily. I was served by Chris. He brought a jug of fresh water with a lemon slice with the menu. I started with a Chai Latte which included a free refill for $ 3.69; I got the Lumbre Scrambled with scrambled eggs & sausage, topped with vegetarian green chili and a dollop of sour cream. It included a side of breakfast potatoes and a well toasted buttered English muffin with enough jam to liberally cover the muffin slices. All for $14.49 + a $1 egg surcharge (see cute poster). The entree was a bit spicy from the sausage & green chili. Quick prompt service. Chris waited till I finished the first Chai before bringing the free refill. I tipped him $4, a good tasty breakfast for under $25. I noticed good prices for pancakes and French toast.

The four stars are mainly for the service, our server was a rockstar. She was so nice and helpful, we were very well taken care of. The food was just ok, diner food. The gravy was very starchy, needed to be cooked more. My eggs were perfect, but they only baste. No poached eggs here.

Been wanting to try this place for a while so decided to come here with my boyfriend for some breakfast. Well it was technically brunch by the time we went. I will say I judged the looks of the place a bit snobbish because it's not the nicest looking. The prices for the regular menu was higher than I thought. Aside from that the service was quick and friendly, it wasn't really busy on a Saturday at 1pm. I decided to get the cheese omlete with mushrooms and onions. It also comes with potatoes and english muffins. Food came quickly after we ordered, big portions overall. The omlete was fluffy and flavorful, I wish the potatoes had onions and cheese on them but they were still seasoned right. Oh and the jam that came with the meal was legit. I wish I wrote down the name of the brand they said it was similiar too. Also the server gave my boyfriend the whole pot of coffee when he ordered one cup which was nice. They do have some good early bird specials during the week before 9am if you're an early riser. Overall not a bad place for a quick hearty breakfast.

Spring storm brought down branches and knocked out the power. Sounds like a perfect reason to go out to breakfast. We have enjoyed Sunrise Sunset over the years. There was plenty of seating and no wait. ample parking too. They have a nice variety of breakfast selections. Both kids had their 2+2+2. 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 of your choice of meat. I have a bacon kid and a sausage kid. Both were happy. My husband had the Mario Skillet. The skillet comes out hot on a plate. His had country potatoes with green onions, green chiles, black beans, smothered in green chili and cheese with two basted eggs. He enjoyed every bite. I had the Country Skillet. It had their potatoes topped with diced link sausage, cheese blend and country sausage gravy topped with two basted eggs. Delicious. Both skillets came with an English muffin and jam. I am the caffeinated member of the family. Here they bring your cup full and leave a pot on the table. Our family mantra is, "a caffeinated mother is a happy family." I was happy by the end of breakfast. We will be back.

Super Yum central! I had just the basic breakfast, but it was really flavorful. Filling. Great staff. Love the townhome interior design!

This is the greasy spoon breakfast you've been searching for. Amazing food (huge menu with a ton of options), awesome service. We got one of the skillets and the corned beef hash burrito style, plus some blueberry pancakes. We will definitely be back!!

Got the 2x2x2 with French toast. I personally don't like French toast, but my husband said it was delicious. Bacon was too crispy for me, but again my husband enjoy it. Eggs were great! Buttery and salty just like I like them. I also got regular ol black coffee. I get it... crappy diner coffee is a thing. But this coffee seemed a little more crappy than usual diner coffee. Great service. The waitress checked on us frequently and was very nice.

If you're looking for top notch service and a great breakfast, this is the place for you. This local hole in the wall establishment is everything you want in a breakfast place and the food was amazing! They have a great variety on the menu to satisfy any craving. I always like to find these types of places when I travel because the atmosphere can't be beat. Even though we were outsiders, we were given the same top tier service that the regulars receive. One thing I was very impressed by was the extra effort by the staff to ensure one of their patrons in a wheelchair had a comfortable and accessible table. It was a small dining area and the ability to look out for their customers just shows how much they care about their patrons. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely return.

I've always loved this spot. The staff is super friendly and the food is always delicious. I ordered the 2+2+2 and the eggs were nice and fluffy the bacon nice and crispy and the pancakes were perfect. I also got to try one of their vegetarian skillets. It was called Marios Sunshine skillet and I never would've guessed it was vegetarian it was delicious and super flavorful!

This is $11. Plus $2 for coffee

Brunch with the ladies! My daughter, my friend and I came for brunch…read more We were welcomed in and seated. We did opt for the shaded outdoor area which is always nice. Genaye took care of us. We had some mimosas to share. We chose orange and cranberry juice to go with the bubbles. I decided I was feeling more lunch than breakfast and chose the Southwest Turkey Club. It is served on toasted ciabatta with tomato, red onion, shaved turkey, bacon, roasted poblano pepper and chipotle aioli with pepperjack cheese. Yum! I got fries as my side as well as an extra serving of the chipotle aioli to dip. My daughter selected the Works Burger with the day's soup, corn chowder. Her burger had lettuce, tomato, red onion, bacon and sharp cheddar. She really enjoyed it. Genaye was fantastic. Great service!

Winner winner bread dinner??? Nice try, Matt…read more I walk by this place all the time. ALL. THE. TIME. I frequent a local spot a few doors down weekly. At the times I go, Bread Winners is usually closed. So I never think too much of it. And I haven't thought about actually checking it out in years. Until the other day, my wife was like, "hey we should go get breakfast at the place next to Bluegrass." Well, we all know what happened next. With the in-laws and little man in tow, we ventured out for a Sunday morning breakfast on the patio. I had no idea what to expect, all I knew is that I wanted to sit outside. Their patio is amazing, completely turfed, shaded, and covered. Nice big chairs and tables, too. Portions are huge, and extremely generous for $15 plates. This is old school breakfast and brunch, not the trendy BS you see on social media. Which is why you won't find too many people online talking about this place. Well, except for Yelp, of course! I ordered a green chile scramble loaded with eggs, chorizo, potatoes, and spicy pork green chile. It came with toast and I loaded it up the scramble with cholula. The food was great, with the green chile being the star studded standout. It had an awesome kick to it! Service was friendly, coffee was refilled multiple times, and we were stuffed. Can't ask for much more these days!

There is a lovely patio and plenty of seating inside but this is a popular spot for good reason! Service is cheerful and expedient throughout. We started with the Mexican cold brew coffee and it might be the best coffee I have had in the area!! It was OUTSTANDING!!! Get it! It's the perfect blend of cold brew, horchata, sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon and I think I could drink it everyday!! We each ordered a skillet, I had the chili relleno skillet with chicken and pancakes for the side and they must be putting magic in those pancakes because they were special. I'm not a big pancake person and I couldn't get enough. They were fluffy and yet they didn't fall apart and I could taste the vanilla they use in the batter. The skillet was massive and delicious and the rellenos were crisp all topped with a hearty portion of expertly prepared green chili. My husband had a different skillet and modified it to add extra proteins and also the rellenos. They were happy to accommodate. What a fabulous brunch experience! I wish I lived closer! I would certainly be a regular! This place is fabulous!!!!!

And, my, oh my, as soon as we parked, we saw the line. Thank goodness, these folks were on their game and despite a decently long line to be seated, they were able to get us in pretty quickly and continued to do so with others, throughout our entire visit. This is teamwork at its best - front and back of the house killing it. We ordered brunch cocktails (bloody mary and mimosa), shared one of their seasonal specials (churro french toast) and had entrees (chilaquiles and crispy rellenos & eggs). Yes, before you think it, yes, we ordered way too much food but took some home with us. Service was really great - fast and cooked to order. Our server checked on us often but not so much that we felt rushed (despite seeing all the folks waiting to be seated, lol). It was a great meal that we'd drive back for. Brunch House has a great vibe - a bit of an upscale diner feel with really elevated food. We will def return in the fall and maybe sit outside. Do yourself a favor, add them to your short list.
