We love Nopalitos!! Their new location has good parking and a great bar! Nice dining ambiance and lovely staff. This is a hidden authentic Mexican gem. It is so much tastier than commercial places like Q'doba and Chipotle, which feel like a school cafeteria. This is owner operated with flavors and selections that are true to Mexico. It's located at the 29 th st Mall, kitty Korner to Trader Joe's. Highly recommend choosing Nopalitos as your new, " Go To" for fast or dine in Real Authentic Mexican with a decent price point! Check them out and support local businesses!! read more

my overall experience that this location was spectacular and I would definitely go back if I find myself in the mood for tasty authentic Mexican cuisine. During my visit, I ordered the steak bowl with everything green under the sun. I didn't get the queso because I thought the up charge was steep. However, I have tried many MANY Mexican food places in Colorado and this is by far the most delicious option in a relatively populous area. My total came out to around $16.78. in my opinion, if I had to decide between chipotle in this joint, I would pick this place any day. If I wasn't there so early in the day, I would've gone one of their delicious 100% Mezcal tequila margaritas they had so many flavor options and all of them sounded delicious. read more

Okay--we were surprisingly disappointed with this place. It has phenomenal reviews online. And we were under the impression that this place was economical--but wrong! It was as pricey as if we would have gone to a big restaurant with moderate prices. So the pricing was a shocker, and the food was very underwhelming. My husband couldn't even finish his nachos because they were super soggy. The chicken was meh--no real flavor. So nothing really stood out. Other than that the restaurant was very clean, including restrooms. There was plenty of parking in front of the building. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Other than that-meh. read more

Yum! Better than other big burrito places! With a full bar! Fresh and tasty ingredients! Love being able to make a California-ish burrito with the potatoes! read more

This place should take over chipotle. It's the same idea but like a million times better + they have Tuesday and Thursday late night happy hour with BOGO house margs + every night late night free chips and salsa with any alcohol purchase?? Such a good deal. This was the best burrito I've had in years probably. The margs were also really good - the classic was especially strong. The employees were all really nice, a decent amount of tables, and really clean inside which is always important. read more

Never heard of this place but drive by all the time. Looking for something quick but didn't want five guys or Panera that was next door. I was impressed by the number of people and friendly staff. Really great tasting tacos. Had the fish taco and shrimp taco. Bigger than Torchy's. I'd say a more limited menu. Good experience and I'd be back for sure read more

Pretty good food! Atmosphere was great. Watched a hockey game while I ate a burrito it was a good day. Service, everyone was friendly.

I recently hired Nopalito's to cater an event. I would highly recommend this fabulous local restaurant for your catering needs. Milton was a breeze to work with. He took my order efficiently and explained how and when I would pay and how the set up would work. On the day of the event they were on time and we had everything we needed. Everything was disposable so I didn't have to worry about returning anything. The food was wonderful, with all of the guests commenting on the quality. The portions were generous and no detail was left undone. Thank you, Milton and crew, for a job very well done! read more

Wow! I'm really impressed again. The owners definitely took my previous review seriously. I brought my family in, and things were awesome just like they were in the past. Still great food, excellent service is back, and always a chill place to hang. Thanks! read more

Great food service! Great food quality! But beware at the bar. Happy hour prices going away because you close your tab after happy hour ends (but ordered during happy hour) and your bill goes up is wild. read more

My wife and I popped into Nopalito's for the first time just a few weekends ago while we were running errands in the area. I had come across them on Yelp previously. We both love Mexican food, so figured what the heck let's give them a go?! Walking in is comparable to walking into a Chipotle-esque, order-at-the-counter set up. The key difference is that they boast a full bar with bar seating, and well, they're truly LOCAL. Cool art murals on the walls tying into the luchador-themed restaurant. I wasn't all that hungry (for once in my life), yet as soon as my wife began her order I was like, screw it I'm here let's get something. I usually judge these types of places by their burritos, however that sounded very filling looking at other patrons dishes inside the restaurant. I opted for a quesadilla and it turned out to be an excellent choice! Grilled Asada Quesadilla // comes with your choice of white or wheat tortilla, plus the meat, cheese and veggies of your desire. I got mine with guac and pico on the side. I have to admit, it was awesome. I feel like quesadillas can be fairly basic, but the meat was tender and seasoned well. We also enjoyed the chips and queso. We like to consider ourselves queso aficionados and we both found theirs to be enjoyable. A little on the runnier side for our liking, but it thickened up the more it sat. Overall, a great meal! Nopalito's should be on your hit list for a fast casual bite when you're not looking for anything fancy. Everything hit the spot, the portions were great, and I felt like the food was priced appropriately. Definitely coming back! read more

Food wasn't that great. Came by because of the overwhelming rating, but I can't believe this would be having that kind of writing. Food didn't have a lot of flavor and did not taste authentic. read more

I needed a quick lunch in the area and had never been here before, so I decided to give it a try. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, the seating outside is a little close together but it's nice to have the outdoor choice with a view of the mountains over the parking lot. I ordered chicken flautas, which I never get, and I liked having choices of sauces and other sides - even if there is a charge for some. They were hot and tasty. The bonus to Nopalitos besides the staff being so lovely is that I also got a margarita and it was refreshing and well balanced. The bar was a nice surprise because who doesn't want the option of a cold margarita on a hot day? I will definitely go back and try other things. read more

I had tasted Nopalito' s food and drink at a community event and had been pleased. We took the opportunity tonight to go to eat in the restaurant at the Twenty Ninth St Mall. It was early but we had other things to do and there quite a few customers, even at a non trendy hour. There was also a steady stream of take out orders being picked up. Easy to do here given the ample free parking by Boulder standards. This js much more centrally located than where they were in far north east Boulder. We had heard really good things but far to go for us given Boulder traffic patterns. The staff was all friendly and we recognized to location as having been an eatery we enjoyed before the pandemic, which had not survived, but their custom rustic wood decor did.i had one problem from the beginning g as the had no paper menus to examine for choices or ingredients. They did have screens up high to read but since I am vision impaired they were illegible,. But my husband has good vision and also had trouble. Luckily I had much decided from the online version though I encourage them to have something in bold letters to use if customer is unprepared. We enjoyed our food and drink. The bowl my husband ordered was full enough to bring home leftovers. I ordered modestly and finished my 2 tacos. I had the shredded beef with black beans, queso, avocado and cilantro. My husband's bowl had steak, luck, black beans, rice, queso and avocado. I sampled his and thought my Barbacoa ( shredded beef) was a lot more tender than his steak. We both had margaritas. Mine was far too strong for me, but many will really enjoy it. My husband was fine with his. He had the classic and I had the watermelon. I will say, the food and service was far, far better than a nearby national chain with similar menu. But maybe not quite as polished with as much variety as a local multi location company. But with such fish service, parking and clean seating. We will certainly be back again. read more

Recently I visited this location because it was marked good for breakfast and brunch and had no wait time when I called, granted I didn't scour their Yelp page for a menu but I was very disappointed to arrive and see that this is just an independent brand Qudoba dupe. There's no breakfast or brunch items, it's just a Qudoba. There's food was completely mid, nothing was especially flavorful and the quac is extra, $2.99 extra, WTF??? granted they literally drown your entire meal in it so it becomes cold immediately, all the flavor that maybe was there is completely smothered and you're left with essentially a guacamole soup bowl. The pickled onions were also beyond pathetic, anemic little shreds of onion with barely any flavor and they give you the teeny tiniest amount, like onions are so expensive they can't give you a proper amount?? Hoping to make my food taste like good again, not just like cold guacamole I was hoping to find some hot sauce but there's none to be found anywhere... it's a worse Qudoba. I won't be back, it's a terrible breakfast and brunch option and they need to figure out that you don't need to charge $3 for guac if you're not literally ruining peoples food with the extremely excessive amount of avocado. read more

Super friendly workers and they took my order and made it fresh. I got the steak quesadillas. It came with salsa and I got corn salsa. They offered sour cream and I got both that and asked for guacamole so there was a small extra charge since I had 3 things versus 2 to go with the quesadilla. It was very good and had lots of filling. read more

Burritos are amazing, as well as the churros. I order my co workers and mine as well. Hits the spot every time. Dining in is even better!

Decent food, friendly service. The space is fun with lots of room. Reasonably priced.

They have amazing food with affordable prices. They also have a fun atmosphere and great happy hour.

Great fish tacos, fresh ingredients and an owner who actually knows a thing or two about customer service! Keep it up!

Fun vibe, great food and very friendly service. Margs were awesome. Randomly found it, first time in and I'll definitely go back.

I've been grabbing dinner to go from here since my schedule is nuts, and now my family wants only Nopalito's for dinner! It's so easy to customize every order so everyone gets exactly what makes them happy...it's fresh! It's healthy! ...and it's so delicious. Each of us argues over which of the proteins is our favorite, but that's the great thing -- you can pop in and try each one. The prices are amazing and I am just so happy that this is here. The location is so convenient. Parking is never an issue. Staff are super friendly and helpful. I'd love to order for catering from here, so maybe for a group picnic! read more

Found this by googling "breakfast burritos" online. This place popped up. Read Yelp reviews and they were extremely positive. I was like, yeah right, heard that before. I was dead wrong. Had to be top 2 breakfast burritos I have ever had tied with bonfire in golden. I mean wow! Friendly staff. Guy was super cool. Green chili was legit. And that hot sauce/salsa sauce was hot and delicious. Cannot wait to be back in Boulder to get another one. Bacon had some great crunch. Way to go guys! read more

Yes yes yes!! This place is amazing! Located in a little plaza next to the dmv, a diamond in the rough. You order at the counter and take your food to your table. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. You need to try the chipotle shrimp- I got the tacos Baja style. The portions are big, I was full after two tacos! My friends ordered the nachos (amazing) and the steak burrito and they both very satisfied. Very tasty, high quality ingredients. I highly recommend Nopito's for breakfast, lunch or dinner! I've become a lunchtime regular here when I'm in Boulder. It's a refined Qdoba; similar ordering and serving formula but a little nicer.

We are recently back to Boulder after growing up here and after reading the reviews the family decided to give this place a go. Ordering was simple and food was just meh. We couldn't put a finger on the reason, just lackluster overall and the atmosphere just wasn't fun for us. We will try it one more time before writing it off, but there are so many better places to eat Mexican food and so little time. We have been to Efrains 6 times in the past 3 weeks and it has never disappointed us. read more

Soooo friendly and soooo good. We had a hard time finding this place - google maps took us to the wrong part - my understanding is that they were moving soon anyway. We loved the atmosphere and the food options. I got a 3 taco basket and loved that I could try three meats - chicken was the best - the shredded beef was a little too tough for me. We also got a couple of quesadilla's each made a little different and they were huge. The margarita's looked amazing and were reasonably priced - we opted not to try them though because we were staying up in the mountains and the road was a little windy - that we thought it was better that we didn't. The staff were amazing, helpful and proud of the food they were serving - this is a place I would definitely visit regularly if I were closer. read more
