The tacos are solid! The portion of filling is, well, filling. Carnitas are tender and flavorful. The shrimp is perfectly cooked and delicious. The nopales are tender and fresh without being slimy. The fish is juicy and delicious but the sauce is a bit mayonnaisey. We are always greeted by friendly staff. The music is fun and loud but not obnoxious. Now, the reason for the 4 stars. We have been here several times and every time the salsa is different and the complimentary salsa tonight basically tastes like ketchup. Not quite as sweet but all tomato base and no spices, no peppers, no spice. We always ask for the spicy salsa tonight get some flavor and tonight the spicy one was lacking as well. The margaritas are good. Not too sweet and not too tart. Well balanced. We hope they consult abuela about the salsas but we will be back.

56$ for three entrees is pure insanity even in a college town! Margaritas are priced well though, very strong so fair warning to all our server was very nice! Only thing I could recommend (even a bit iffy) is the Birria papas, but be warned half of our food tasted like restaurant depot cleaning product and was exceptionally bland, so its a roll of the dice.

The Birria grilled cheese and strawberry horchata are life changingly delicious!

After my first visit I could not stop thinking about their birria grilled cheese, queso, agua frescas galore, strawberry horchata, carnitas, nopales and tres leches. Last night after a late Eldo adventure (guided bat walk) I stopped in with my partner for a beyond delicious bite. We came in the last hour they were open on a mission. As always the space was spotlessly clean, with fun colorful decorations. We shared the birria grilled cheese - toasted to perfection, the meat mouthwateringly seasoned - literally melted in my mouth - along with the accompanying au jus, radish, cucumber and lime. With every bite I transcended :) I was so into the grilled cheese that I completely forgot to snag a bite of the carnitas taco (served with pineapple I might add) before it disappeared! The staff were friendly as always. Our meal came out speedily and there was fun stuff to watch on the television (snowboarding on one and Dave Chapelle's prince skit on the other). Can't wait to go back when I have time to settle in for the whole shebang - including a slice of their incredible tres leches cake (honestly I've tried many over the years here and in Mexico - theirs is by far the BEST!).

After running some errands on an empty stomach, I was absolutely famished, and Shreddy's Tacos was the nearby solution. To this day, my soul and stomach thanks you haha. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by two different employees and asked if we were dining in or taking out--opted to dine in. Ordering was super easy and convenient thanks to the iPads located near the entrance. We ended up getting a fish taco, a Birria grilled cheese, and a Mexican coke. As soon as we sat down, fresh chips and salsa were brought to our table. The chips were great, not greasy at all, but the salsa was a bit too chilled for my liking (and it was a chilly day.) But it didn't stop us from consuming almost all of it during our dining time. Whoever came up with the idea of Birria grilled cheese is an absolute genius! I love Birria tacos, but this grilled cheese was next level. Completely addicting and so much neater to eat. Plus, the crunch you get from the bread makes for the perfect texture combination. Flavors were spot on and just so onolicious. I need to try to make this at home. Probably would pass on the fish taco next time, but the Birria dishes are where it's at. Friendly staff, clean environment (both employees were thoroughly cleaning everything while we were there...kudos to them for their hard work and cleanliness,) and delicious food made for an exceptional experience. I'll definitely be back at some point.

Good food - sat outside which was nice. Tried the strawberry horchata (3/5 kinda just tasted like strawberry milk), chicharrones (5/5 came out super fresh), baja fish taco (4/5), tres tacos rojos (4/5 tacos were delicious but consomme was not as hearty/flavorful as I was expecting), and tres leches cake (5/5 a large slice too). A tad pricier than other restaurants but very filling and good!

We were recommended this restaurant from a coworker. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon the atmosphere was a chill vibe with good music playing. It has really good seating (highs top tables, booths, regular tables and outside tables). The food was a 10/10. Highly recommend coming by this new establishment that started as a food truck. The staff are super inviting and friendly, the chef would come out and make sure everything was good. We tried the - chicharrón appetizer that was served a with fresh guacamole and salsa 10/10 - Baja grilled fish taco 10/10 - A flight of 3 tacos of carne asada, chicken, al pastor 10/10 -Nachos with carnitas 10/10 Everything was fresh and delicious, so much flavor and the salsas were good. The green one is pretty spicy. We can't wait to come back to try more of their delicious food. Go show some support if you want some good tasting food, they've only been at the location for a month and half. You won't regret it!

Soooo happy to have a new restaurant in South Boulder! Great food that is affordable too. You order at the screens by the bar and the food arrives pretty quickly. I highly recommend a burrito. The Ramen was a little too spicy for our seven-year-old, but it was delicious for us adults. The staff were really helpful and we look forward to returning soon.

Beer taps were good. Food is mediocre at best. Salsa is tomato sauce with zero flavor.

I'm quite the foodie and cook for multiple friend groups so I was skeptical. When we walked in on a Tuesday evening near closing time, I noticed the Bib Gourmand plaque on the wall, mention of Michelin star sister restaurant, Alma and at least 6 parties still seated. Let's talk about the food now. Our party of 3 ordered alot which included: -camote (that ricotta and fennel pairing-oh my!), -caesar salad (huge portion and the BEST I've ever had; even better than any tableside caesar) -yellowtail carpaccio (many renditions of this in LA, but this made me want to eat the whole plate and slurp the sauce!) -tostada (incredible. I wanted more) -carne asada taco (divine cut of meat, hands down the best I've had), --- -pork taco (my husband ordered it and said it was the best he's had) -red snapper (I've had this all over Baja Mexico w very fond memories, but THIS one was a tip the bowl kind of dish) cooked to perfection w abeautiful flavors in the sauce. - mushroom entree. (ordered by our friend, and had a few bites. This dish was way larger than I expected! it looked like a garden box of shrooms. Flavors were delightful. We finished every crumb on our plate. I was extremely surprised with every dish we had, as I found myself swooning into another dimension of pleasure and slight jealousy with every bite. I haven't been WOWED by Mexican flavors at all (in LA or OC ), but only since my trip to Tulúm. I can taste the intention of each flavor combination, freshness of the corn, I really can go on and on. I can still remember being impressed beyond belief, and saying out loud, "THIS is what I want Mexican food to taste like". Prices were so reasonable. Entree portions were hefty and fullfilling. Staff was friendly and knowledgable about the menu and brand story. Hoping and wishing that one day they'll open up a location? chef's kiss to this place. Will try Alma and others when back in CO.

It was a Friday night so we were happy to get in at all and be seated quickly. While we dined inside, their patio looked awesome too. If you're between those two, get the salsas. The green one in particular was delicious. The spicy margs were pretty good, not that spicy, but good. The tajin rim option was a nice touch. I got the chicken enchiladas and they were fine. I was hoping for a little more flavor with the 'Christmas style' red and green chiles.. it was more like a mole sauce and green chiles? I would go green chiles only next time. Actually the best part of the whole plate was their pinto beans that were very flavorful and spicy as well. I got all the spicy things, I'm realizing. We walked in and at first it seemed like it had a decent vibe. I had actually been to this location before when it was a different restaurant. Seems like this spot changes ownership pretty frequently, which in hindsight probably says something. Right away we noticed a bunch of tables, especially the booths, still hadn't been bussed. We were told to "sit anywhere," but the only clean tables available were high tops and we wanted a booth, so we waited for the busser, who moved at a pace that honestly felt unbelievable. He seemed to be clearing tables one cup and one plate at a time, walking each item individually back to the kitchen. It was painfully inefficient. It was obvious both he and the girl at the bar saw us standing there waiting for a booth to be cleared, but nobody seemed concerned about it. Eventually the table was finally cleared, but then it sat there dirty for a long time without being wiped down. At that point we just sat anyway, assuming someone would quickly come over and clean it once they saw guests sitting there. In most restaurants, that's standard. Not here. After waiting even longer, I finally asked for a rag so I could wipe the table down myself. The response I got back was rude: "Why don't you just sit at one of the tables that's already clear?" That pretty much sealed it for us. The vibe was off from the second we walked in, and you could feel the lack of care throughout the whole place. At that point we didn't even want to order food because it already felt like the experience was headed downhill. We got up and left. Honestly, I'm glad we did. Service and atmosphere usually reflect what's happening behind the scenes, and I had zero confidence the food experience would've been any different. After leaving, we went to El Centro instead and had a much better experience. I'd recommend choosing that over this place any day of the week. Giving people a good dining experience really isn't that complicated. Sometimes it honestly feels like restaurant staff have never gone out to eat themselves and experienced what good hospitality actually feels like. Unfortunately this place completely missed the mark. We won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend it.

This is it, all the way to type of sopapillas and the classic plates with rice and beans , sauce and melted cheese. The family appeal carries through from hosts to servers to clearing staff. The menu is large though it appears that most only vary by central item. The entrees all come with the same sides and a sauce. Next time I will ask for light sauce as it pretty much buried my tamales. They need to stand out and shine and I love the taste of masa.
