Our waiter was so peppy and helpful, the veggie taco selection was good, and their salsas were delicious. We got a three salsa and guac flight. My favorite was their avocado flavored mild salsa. I also got a fried avocado taco that was GF breaded! What can I say I'm an avocado fan and they hit it out of the park. The Buffalo cauliflower taco was also delicious :). read more

My daughter stopped for lunch ordered 2 tacos avocado and this taco which I ordered by saying poblano and butternut squash because I couldn't properly pronounce the name of it. My third bite in something fell out and it was meat. I wish I would have recognized that before I ate it. I let the server know and she told me that taco does have meat. I looked at the menu online and this is what it says fire-roasted poblanos, roasted butternut squash, crema, dos chiles salsa, cotija. I wasn't mad just disappointed I was served a meat taco. I am mad at the gaslighting. I can take responsibility for not checking the taco before eating it, but I do know how to read. It sucks cause I genuinely like this place but not sure if I'll be back. read more

Oof. Gonna give 4 stars cause I don't wanna mess up your rating, but my first time there I would probably give closer to a 2 to be perfectly honest. Food was incredibly bland:/ especially for the price point. As a group we split about 5 things, mostly apps, and everything was honestly just pretty blah. What was up with the "queso"? The daytime bartender called everyone "hun", an ick of mine, and was very dismissive, to be honest. She kinda seemed mad at us off the bat(?). Bartender that took over the shift change was incredibly sweet and personable, tho, 10/10. As an industry worker, I was kinda baffled that there was no handoff, like "hey, I'm taking off, but this is so-and-so taking over the bar". My friends and I thought the new person behind the bar was just a random kitchen worker that was stocking for a little while, and were unsure if we should order drinks from her. Daytime bartender never said thanks or even goodbye, she walked away and then we never saw her again. Not sure if they split tips or how they do it, but we would have cashed out with her and tipped her had we been given the chance. Nighttime bartender should also consider introducing herself so the shift change isn't so enigmatic. Like I said, everything just felt... off. This is gonna be a weird side note, and not trying to get anyone in trouble, and I'm all about body positivity for real(!!)... but when we got there, someone from BOH(?) was wearing absolutely the tiniest shorts with buttcheeks hanging out the bottom, and picked her wedgie while walking into the kitchen. Working in the service industry going on 20 something years, it was just shocking to see someone working in a food establishment dressed that way, for food safety reasons mostly, but also I honestly didn't realize people went to work anymore not even trying to dress somewhat professional. I've worked in the tropics where people don't wear that small of shorts when working at a beach bar/restaurant. Like I said, had I seen her walking by on the street or at the beach like that I wouldn't have batted an eyelash. It was honestly kinda shocking in a restaurant setting to see that much buttcheek from BOH when I'm about to order food. So our first impression when sitting down was a lotta buttchecks, and then picking the wedgie before making our food, and then immediately all of us being called "hun" like 10 times in a minute, then feeling like we were being dismissed/forgotten. As a first impression, and after many years in the industry, it was just really off-putting. We felt like we had come to the wrong place, and on my barely (!) ever day off, I was there to relax, eat, drink, and spenddd some money. The whole group was there to chill and were hungry... but we couldn't wait to just eat and get outta there. We ended up going somewhere else after for a second round of apps and lots of drinks. Kudos to the bartender towards the end, she seemed genuine and really sweet, I don't have her name but she had dark, shoulder (?) length hair. I think she also changed the music to a more chill, reggae style from the club music (that was personally just not my style and didn't seem to fit the vibe), but that's really just my opinion about the music. Food also came out very quick, which is always such a nice surprise, esp when you're pretty hungry. Btw, everyone has bad days, just really hoping to help improve a few observations, feel like I can't be the only one that got such a bad first impression. read more

Perfect! After taking a header at the end of my ride my husband offered to help me brush the dirt off with a margarita. It was hard to choose from all of the tasty choices, but it was easy to drink. Service was warm, friendly, and personable. I appreciated the helpful context for choosing the perfect refresher. We ordered tacos, chips, and a tasty trio of salsa. The margaritas were so delicious that I ordered another. I enjoyed my drinks and lunch and playing passenger princess and I forgot all about the painful scrapes and bruises and will be sure to stop in again the next time I head North to ride. The outdoor seating that overlooks the parking lot means I don't have to anxiously look for my bike and can rest easy having a relaxing afternoon on the deck to wind down. read more

The ambiance was low key and laid back, which is exactly what we were looking for. Service was exceptional and thoughtful. The food was good enough that we will go back when in the area for sure. I had the mojo bowl which left something to be desired-would've loved some fresh veggies, pico, or peppers in it as well. My husband tried 3 of the seafood tacos and was pleased. Delicious delicious delicious! After a full day of hiking this was AH-MAZING!! The special order chips and salsa came to the table before we even finished placing our order. We got to take a table in the back out of the way and loved being semi-to ourselves. Our tacos were some of the best we've ever had. (We both ordered the same thing.) Our server was extremely polite, welcoming and helpful with our orders. Awesome place! I would give it more stars if possible. read more

Lyons, CO. I still come here often when I'm in town. The food is delicious and the portions are ample. This year one of their offerings is corn on the cob pieces that are roasted and rolled in cheese and spiced, loved this. I still have a problem with the tortillas. They fall apart after one bite, if you even get that far. Then the meal becomes fork driven. I like to actually pick up my tacos to eat them. With such a talented chef, can't this problem be solved? These tortillas are pretty much useless as they are. read more

Gosh I am so glad for Yelp and finding this place. Wow. What incredible food after a day of traveling! My husband laughed about me wanting Mexican food after coming from California (where we have some of the best). Well, California is in some steep competition because their short rib tacos were TO DIE FOR, as was their KALE SALAD (yes, I ordered a Kale salad too because I'm a health nut but also because I love Kale). I'll warn you, it's HUGE, but I finished all of it. I also loved the staff and how attentive everyone was. I am fairly certain the bartender was also the owner and he was very kind too. This is an excellent taqueria with very delicious, inventive tacos and burritos. Any taco you can also get as a burrito (took me a while to figure that one out). I especially enjoy the short rib, the rajas con calabazas and the arrachera. The salsas are also freakin' awesome! Excellent margaritas, great selection of tequila and mescal. One star is for the warm water. I would love to put a food review but since we never were served it's impossible. We sat for 20 minutes with no drinks, chips etc. the waitress "ran by" and said she would be right back and we never saw her again, not at our table anyway. When we left she saw us but would not even look at us. Super bummed about the lack of service. This was our second attempt at eating here. First time we came they were closed when it was a week day at dinner time. Should mention the place was not packed. There were open tables all around us. We ordered the elotes as an appetizer after his description.... amazingly yummy. We ordered the Baja fish taco and the fried avocado taco.. good but prob wouldn't order again. Tex-mex that often feels hurried. I consider most of the food, especially the burritos,about the same as stopping at Chipotle for 1.5-2x the price. Great margaritas and friendly folks. Also love the Queso Fundido. read more

Got off to a rough start because the kitchen had messed up the order at the table next to us and our server was preoccupied. Once that was resolved everything was super. They have terere which is a flavored South American ice tea, try the hibiscus and mint. Ordered chips with the mild house salsa, my wife liked the thick consistency. My wife had the mojo bowl which she ate completely. The star of the meal was the pollo burrito smothered in red sauce. Not only was it huge but it tasted fabulous. Could have been a tad warmer but I didn't want to give it back. Our server was Joy, who told us she was new. She was delightful and did a great job.
