    Fajitas al camaron
    Zane F.

Food: I had the fajitas al camaron. The rice and beans were pretty good. The shrimp, peppers, and onions were good but a little under seasoned. I liked the green sauce they gave, but it was such a tiny container, I wish they gave more. Service: The cashier spoke solely Spanish so it was difficult to try and order food, but the waiter was nice. Ambience: It's a little sketchy looking, but the food was better than the outside so I guess that's good. I did have to go outside to go to the bathroom outside though, and it was smelly. Overall: It was okay, but not the best Mexican food I've had.

Best breakfast burrito I've ever had! He makes his own chorizo. The coffee is Mexican (but byo cream).

Using the "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives" definition, by all accounts, Tacos Al Molcajete could be considered a "Dive," and after 5+ years of going here, it's one of my favorite Mexican dives in Longmont. Sure, it's a bit shabby looking for a gringo like me, but it's nice & clean. Honestly, I could care less what it looks like, because the owner & staff are welcoming & friendly, and the food is always super-muy-delicioso! I love both the carnitas & barbacoa smothered burritos. Savory juicy meats are wrapped in a never dried-out tortilla, generously smothered in a mild spicy green chille, then freshly-chopped lettuce & tomatoes are tossed on top. Sides of red & green salsas add some serious kick if that's your jam. On cold days, the inner dining room is fine, but I prefer eating outside on nice days. The covered patio is basically just a concrete pad with a bunch of brown plastic picnic tables under a rickety-looking metal structure. And while Longmont's Main St. can get a bit loud from time to time, it gets you out in the fresh air, while also shaded from our intense noon-time summer sun so you can take your time to enjoy the tasty dishes. BTW: no margaritas or cervezas here, so grab a large ice cold glass bottle of sweet Mexican Coke made with real non-gmo caña de azúcar (sugar cane) with your savory burrito... a perfect pairing!

On the way to see friends, my husband and I stopped at this local gem for some lunch and why a flavorful delight! While the place doesn't look like much from the street, the food will not disappoint. There are plenty of picnic tables outside and some seating inside as well. The staff is super friendly and welcoming! We ordered a smothered Al pastor burrito that was flavorful, filled with rice, beans and plenty of marinated pork! The green Chile is super mild so I put their hot sauce over everything and enjoyed every bite. My husband order the Chile rellanos plate and the chiles tasted fresh and delicious. The breading was a bit too soggy for me but that's a personal preference thing. My husband also ordered a taco Al pastor and a lengua taco. I had never eaten lengua so I decided to give it a try and I must say it was delicious. We will be back. I always appreciate a locally owned business with great food and a friendly staff. They make you want to come back. Thank you!!

A simply decorated place, but comfortable. The owner and staff were great. The menus are in Spanish, but do NOT let that stop you, I was greeted almost like an old friend and was told what the different dishes were. I went for the Huevos Rancheros... and they were delicious... Very flavorful with the rice beans and sauce. I have not had such good ones in many years!! My daughter had various tacos. They were all great, nicely seasoned and not greasy! Her SO had a burrito, and it was a very generous portion and very delicious. Whenever I am in the area, I know where I will be stopping for a meal!!! Beuno!! Muy delicioso!!!

Thought I'd be daring and get the Camarones Diablo. They warned me, muy picoso! And they did not disappoint! The food was great and spicy. The ladies behind the counter were very sweet and helpful. I will come in again and try something that won't set my mouth on fire.

Great tacos and sopes. I'm sure the rest is great too. Lots of flavor. Lots of authenticity. Salsas are basic but pretty good. Service is good and you won't wait too long. Very friendly. It's a bare bones dining area and men's bathroom is outside, which is part of why I dropped a few points. I would definitely stop in again and again. It's not 5 but more than 4 so I'd say a 4.4

    Breakfast Burrito with chorizo

The owner is awesome, breakfast burritos are ok. Reasonably priced but still would like to see someplace do a more full burrito for $6 instead of smaller ones for $3-4. Just my opinion. 5 stars for service. 3 for the burrito.

    Churros

I've been here numerous times already and I have to say that this taco joint is top notch. The entire menu is in Spanish, so you can definitely tell that this is not any Americanized abomination, but actual Mexican food. The street tacos are very authentic and practically all of the dishes here are good. I haven't had anything I dislike. In particular, I highly recommend the street tacos with the barbacoa. Slather on some pico de gallo and salsa, spritz some lime, and this is going to be one of the most delicious (and reasonably cheap) meals you've ever had. Fair word of warning - for people who can't handle spicy food, I recommend you stay away from the orange and red salsas. They will destroy you. To finish off your meal, you can always order their churros. To be honest, they're not the best churros I've ever had, but I've never had "authentic" churros before so I don't have a point of reference to give you. This restaurant is a favorite place for my coworkers and I. We frequent at least 1x every few weeks.

If I had someone to be my designated driver I would have had the 2 for 1 margaritas which is a Monday special. The restaurant interior was bright and funky! There are tables and booths available. The bar area has an extensive selection of tequila. I've seen bottles that I've never seen before. Our server was so friendly and extremely attentive. Both our drinks and food were served in a timely manner. I ordered the Horchata and it was delicious! I ordered the chicken fajitas for lunch and the portion was huge! I was definitely able to take some home. The food tasted so fresh. In addition to the 2 for margaritas on Monday, I am so impressed by the number of daily specials this restaurant has. Other specials include $3 taco Tuesdays, 2 for 1 Mezcalitos on Wednesdays and 2 for 1 cocktails on Thursdays for the ladies. There is also a Happy Hour which includes discount margaritas and $3 tacos. There is plenty of free parking.

I was in Longmont for the home and garden show and I was hungry so this was my opportunity to give Rosa's Cantina a try. They were very busy but I was greeted and seated promptly. The place is nice and they have a lot of seating and a patio but too cold that day for outdoor dining. I ordered the Burrito Tijuana which looked to be a good choice based on the menu description. The burrito was very good with a generous portion of steak. The chili smothering the buritto was flavorful but not very spicy. I wish they provided a little more pico salsa on the side, there was probably a teaspoon of pico. I enjoyed the buritto, it was sizeable, flavorful but not spicy enough for my taste buds. The server was good, she was attentive and pleasant. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, service was good as well as the food. Would I go back ? I might go back if the planets align but I wouldn't make a special trip. My only real letdowns were the shortage of pico and they don't offer free chips and salsa. I've come to expect and appreciate Mexican restaurants who still offer free chips and salsa.

When looking at the menu, the prices were outrageous, but thought the food must be really good! The restaurant doors were locked when we arrived around 11:30, even though their website said they opened at 10:00. I like to support local restaurants but this one was horribly disappointing! We were the only customers in the restaurant and service was extremely slow. There was only one employee we saw, the one who unlocked the door for us and turned out to be our waitress. She was polite, but very slow in getting our drink order, food order, and ticket. I could have understood understaffing, but as mentioned, we were the only customers in the place. When our food came, I was almost embarrassed for our waitress. The food hardly filled our plates. I ordered a chicken dish where the chicken breast had been split in half. It was tough and hard to cut and and chew. It was maybe the size of a small burger, very small and about 1/4 of an inch thick! According to the menu description, it was supposed to be marinated. It tasted like the "marinade" was ketchup mixed with a little Tabasco. Other plates were very skimpy on food. Burritos and enchiladas were small and almost almost laid flat on the plates. I guess I could deal with it better if the cost was about ¼ of the price we paid. No drinks for 4 totaled, with tip, around $80.00!! Will never go to this place again! I typically don't do reviews but this experience was completely "over the top" bad in all areas. We all left feeling cheated, and hungry! Don't waste your money here!
